Stefano Stabellini 18c51e1a3f xen/arm: pfn_to_mfn and mfn_to_pfn return the argument if nothing is in the p2m
Some common Xen drivers, like balloon.c, call pfn_to_mfn and mfn_to_pfn
even for autotranslate guests, expecting the argument back.
The following commit broke these drivers by changing the behavior of
pfn_to_mfn and mfn_to_pfn:

They now return INVALID_P2M_ENTRY if Linux doesn't actually know what is
the mfn backing a pfn or what is the pfn corresponding to an mfn.

Shawn Guo 43c9b9e8a4 ARM: imx: set up pllv3 POWER and BYPASS sequentially
Currently, POWER and BYPASS bits are set up in a single write to pllv3
register.  This causes problem occasionally from the IPU/HDMI testing.
Let's follow FSL BSP code to set up POWER bit, relock, and then BYPASS
sequentially.

Shawn Guo bc3b84da8a ARM: imx: pllv3 needs relock in .set_rate() call
The pllv3 nees relock not only when powering up but also when rate
changes.  The patch creates a helper function clk_pllv3_wait_lock() and
moves the relock code from clk_pllv3_prepare() into there, so that
both .prepare() and .set_rate() hooks of pllv3 can call into the helper
for relocking.

Since relock is only needed when PLL is powered up while clk_set_rate()
could be called before clk is prepared, we need to add a check in
clk_pllv3_wait_lock() to skip the relock if PLL is not powered.

Shawn Guo 322503a157 ARM: imx: add sleep for pllv3 relock
The pllv3 relock time varies in the range of 50us ~ 500us, depending on
the specific PLL type, e.g. 50us for ARM PLL and 450us for Audio/Video
PLL.  Let's add a usleep_range() call instead of doing busy wait during
relock.

Building a kernel with the following options,

  CONFIG_SOC_IMX6Q=n

we will see the build error below.

  make[1]: *** [vmlinux] Error 1

This is because that v7_cpu_resume() implemented in headsmp.S is also
needed by imx6sl build.  Let's build headsmp.S for CONFIG_SOC_IMX6SL as
well.

The current comment in the code does not make it clear why the double writes
on SRC bit is needed.  Let's quote the errata to get it clear.  Also, to
ensure there are at least 2 writes happen in the same one 32kHz period,
we actually need 3 writes.  Let's add the third one.

Shawn Guo b6e23bb63f ARM: imx: remove imx_src_prepare_restart() call
There is ~10% possibility that the following emergency restart command
fails to reboot imx6q.

$ echo b > /proc/sysrq-trigger

The IMX restart routine mxc_restart() assumes that it will always run on
primary core, and will call imx_src_prepare_restart() to disable
secondary cores in order to get them come to online in the following
boot.  However, the assumption is only true for normal kernel_restart()
case where migrate_to_reboot_cpu() will be called to migrate to primary
core, but not necessarily true for emergency_restart() case.  So when
emergency_restart() calls into mxc_restart() on any secondary core,
system will hang immediately once imx_src_prepare_restart() is called
to disabled secondary cores.  Since emergency_restart() is defined as a
function that is safe to call in interrupt context, we cannot just call
migrate_to_reboot_cpu() to fix the issue.

Fortunately, we just found that the issue can be fixed at imx6q platform
level.  We used to call imx_src_prepare_restart() to disable all
secondary cores before resetting hardware.  Otherwise, the secondary
will fail come to online in the reboot.  However, we recently found that
after commit 6050d18 (ARM: imx: reset core along with enable/disable
operation) comes to play, we do not need to reset the secondary cores
any more.  That said, mxc_restart() now can run on any core to reboot
the system, as long as we remove the imx_src_prepare_restart() call from
mxc_restart().

So let's simply remove imx_src_prepare_restart() call to fix the above
emergency restart failure.

Felipe Balbi c9aeb249bf Input: ti_am335x_tsc - fix spelling mistake in TSC/ADC DT binding
There was a spelling mistake on TSC/ADC binding where "coordinate" was
spelled as "coordiante".

We can't simply fix the error due to DT being an ABI, the approach taken
was to first use correct spelling and if that fails, fall back to
miss-spelled version.

It's unfortunate that has creeped into the tree.

Chen Gang 237f12337c ARM: 7866/1: include: asm: use 'long long' instead of 'u64' within atomic.h
atomic* value is signed value, and atomic* functions need also process
signed value (parameter value, and return value), so 32-bit arm need
use 'long long' instead of 'u64'.

After replacement, it will also fix a bug for atomic64_add_negative():
"u64 is never less than 0".

The modifications are:

  in vim, use "1,% s/\<u64\>/long long/g" command.
  remove '__aligned(8)' which is useless for 64-bit.
  be sure of 80 column limitation after replacement.

If we're running a kernel compiled with SMP_ON_UP=y and the
hardware only supports UP operation there isn't any

Marc Zyngier ce94fe93d5 arm/arm64: KVM: PSCI: propagate caller endianness to the incoming vcpu
When booting a vcpu using PSCI, make sure we start it with the
endianness of the caller. Otherwise, secondaries can be pretty
unhappy to execute a BE kernel in LE mode...

This conforms to PSCI spec Rev B, 5.13.3.

Do the necessary byteswap when host and guest have different
views of the universe. Actually, the only case we need to take
care of is when the guest is BE. All the other cases are naturally
handled.

Also be careful about endianness when the data is being memcopy-ed
from/to the run buffer.

	to ROM code.

This patch combines above multiple ecc-schemes into single implementation:

OMAP NAND driver support multiple ECC scheme, which can used in different
flavours, depending on in-build Hardware engines present on SoC.

This patch updates following in DT bindings related to sectionion of ecc-schemes
- ti,elm-id: replaces elm_id (maintains backward compatibility)
- ti,nand-ecc-opts: selection of h/w or s/w implementation of an ecc-scheme

Stephen Boyd bf18525fd7 ARM: 7872/1: Support arch_irq_work_raise() via self IPIs
By default, IRQ work is run from the tick interrupt (see
irq_work_run() in update_process_times()). When we're in full
NOHZ mode, restarting the tick requires the use of IRQ work and
if the only place we run IRQ work is in the tick interrupt we
have an unbreakable cycle. Implement arch_irq_work_raise() via
self IPIs to break this cycle and get the tick started again.
Note that we implement this via IPIs which are only available on
SMP builds. This shouldn't be a problem because full NOHZ is only
supported on SMP builds anyway.

T.J. Purtell 6ecf830e50 ARM: 7880/1: Clear the IT state independent of the Thumb-2 mode
The ARM architecture reference specifies that the IT state bits in the
PSR must be all zeros in ARM mode or behavior is unspecified.  On the
Qualcomm Snapdragon S4/Krait architecture CPUs the processor continues
to consider the IT state bits while in ARM mode.  This makes it so
that some instructions are skipped by the CPU.

Marc Zyngier e16b31bf47 ARM: 7876/1: clear Thumb-2 IT state on exception handling
The exception handling code fails to clear the IT state, potentially
leading to incorrect execution of the fixup if the size of the IT
block is more than one.

Let fixup_exception do the IT sanitizing if a fixup has been found,
and restore CPSR from the stack when returning from a data abort.

Grant Likely 78119fd106 of/irq: Fix bug in interrupt parsing refactor.
Commit 2361613206, "of/irq: Refactor interrupt-map parsing" introduced
a bug. The irq parsing will fail for some nodes that don't have a reg
property. It is fixed by deferring the check for reg until it is
actually needed. Also adjust the testcase data to catch the bug.

 - Front LCD (Winstar 1602G): driver needs to be written
 - Armada NAND controller (to access onboard 128MB of NAND): support
   being pushed by @free-electrons people
 - 4 front SATA LEDs controlled via GPIO brought by NXP PCA9554:
   driver is available upstream. Not referenced/tested yet.

but the device is usable w/o those.

Santosh Shilimkar 26ba47b183 ARM: 7805/1: mm: change max*pfn to include the physical offset of memory
Most of the kernel code assumes that max*pfn is maximum pfns because
the physical start of memory is expected to be PFN0. Since this
assumption is not true on ARM architectures, the meaning of max*pfn
is number of memory pages. This is done to keep drivers happy which
are making use of of these variable to calculate the dma bounce limit
using dma_mask.

Now since we have a architecture override possibility for DMAable
maximum pfns, lets make meaning of max*pfns as maximum pnfs on ARM
as well.

Russell King 4dcfa60071 ARM: DMA-API: better handing of DMA masks for coherent allocations
We need to start treating DMA masks as something which is specific to
the bus that the device resides on, otherwise we're going to hit all
sorts of nasty issues with LPAE and 32-bit DMA controllers in >32-bit
systems, where memory is offset from PFN 0.

In order to start doing this, we convert the DMA mask to a PFN using
the device specific dma_to_pfn() macro.  This is the reverse of the
pfn_to_dma() macro which is used to get the DMA address for the device.

This gives us a PFN mask, which we can then check against the PFN
limit of the DMA zone.

Hiroshi Doyu 4cca959326 ARM: tegra: fix Tegra114 IOMMU register address
The IOMMU node's reg property contains completely bogus values! Somehow,
this had no practical effect, despite the fact the IOMMU driver appears
to be writing to those registers. I suppose that since no HW modules is
actually at that address, the writes simply had no effect.

Note that I'm not CCing stable here, even though the problem exists as
far back as v3.9, simply because this patch doesn't fix any observed
issue, and I don't want to run the risk of suddenly writing to some
registers and causing a regression.

The OpenBlocks A7 board is designed and sold by PlatHome, and based on
a Kirkwood 6283 Marvell SoC. It is quite similar to the OpenBlocks A6
already supported in the kernel, with the following main differences:

 - The A6 uses a RTC on I2C, while the A7 uses the internal SoC RTC.

 - The A6 has one Ethernet port, while the A7 has two Ethernet ports

 - The A6 has only one USB port, while the A7 integrates a USB hub,
   which provides two front-side USB port, and an internal USB port as
   well.

 - The A6 has 512 MB of RAM, while the A7 has 1 GB of RAM.

 - Slightly different GPIOs for some functions.

SPC(Serial Power Controller) on TC2 also controls the CPU performance
operating points which is essential to provide CPU DVFS. The M3
microcontroller provides two sets of eight performance values, one set
for each cluster (CA15 or CA7). Each of this value contains the
frequency(kHz) and voltage(mV) at that performance level. It expects
these performance level to be passed through the SPC PERF_LVL registers.

This patch adds support to populate these performance levels from M3,
build the mapping to CPU OPPs at the boot and then use it to get and
set the CPU performance level runtime.

Tomi Valkeinen 0352bd1f04 ARM: dts: omap4-panda: add DPI pinmuxing
New u-boot versions no longer set the pinmuxing for Panda's DPI output,
and the muxing has to be done in the .dts file.

Add pinmuxing for DPI and TFP410. Without these, the DVI output on Panda
does not work with recent u-boot.

Jingoo Han 331d7d6afe ARM: dts: use 'status' property for PCIe nodes
Set the default status for PCIe to disabled in the exynos5440.dtsi
file and let the board dts files such as exynos5440-ssdk5440.dts
enable the PCIe. However, keep the PCIe for SD5v1 board disabled,
because there is no PCIe slot on SD5v1 board.

Dave Martin 0de0d64675 ARM: 7848/1: mcpm: Implement cpu_kill() to synchronise on powerdown
CPU hotplug and kexec rely on smp_ops.cpu_kill(), which is supposed
to wait for the CPU to park or power down, and perform the last
rites (such as disabling clocks etc., where the platform doesn't do
this automatically).

kexec in particular is unsafe without performing this
synchronisation to park secondaries.  Without it, the secondaries
might not be parked when kexec trashes the kernel.

There is no generic way to do this synchronisation, so a new mcpm
platform_ops method power_down_finish() is added by this patch.

The new method is mandatory.  A platform which provides no way to
detect when CPUs are parked is likely broken.

Magnus Damm 6a5014aa03 ARM: 7863/1: Let arm_add_memory() always use 64-bit arguments
The DTB and/or the kernel command line may pass
64-bit addresses regardless of kernel configuration,
so update arm_add_memory() to take 64-bit arguments
independently of the phys_addr_t size.

This allows non-wrapping handling of high memory
banks such as the second memory bank of APE6EVM
(at 0x2_0000_0000) in case of 32-bit phys_addr_t.

Christoph Lameter 1436c1aa62 ARM: 7862/1: pcpu: replace __get_cpu_var_uses
This is the ARM part of Christoph's patchset cleaning up the various
uses of __get_cpu_var across the tree.

The idea is to convert __get_cpu_var into either an explicit address
calculation using this_cpu_ptr() or into a use of this_cpu operations
that use the offset. Thereby address calculations are avoided and fewer
registers are used when code is generated.

Steven Capper a3a9ea656d ARM: 7858/1: mm: make UACCESS_WITH_MEMCPY huge page aware
The memory pinning code in uaccess_with_memcpy.c does not check
for HugeTLB or THP pmds, and will enter an infinite loop should
a __copy_to_user or __clear_user occur against a huge page.

This patch adds detection code for huge pages to pin_page_for_write.
As this code can be executed in a fast path it refers to the actual
pmds rather than the vma. If a HugeTLB or THP is found (they have
the same pmd representation on ARM), the page table spinlock is
taken to prevent modification whilst the page is pinned.

On ARM, huge pages are only represented as pmds, thus no huge pud
checks are performed. (For huge puds one would lock the page table
in a similar manner as in the pmd case).

Two helper functions are introduced; pmd_thp_or_huge will check
whether or not a page is huge or transparent huge (which have the
same pmd layout on ARM), and pmd_hugewillfault will detect whether
or not a page fault will occur on write to the page.

Running the following test (with the chunking from read_zero
removed):
 $ dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/null bs=10M count=1024
Gave:  2.3 GB/s backed by normal pages,
       2.9 GB/s backed by huge pages,
       5.1 GB/s backed by huge pages, with page mask=HPAGE_MASK.

After some discussion, it was decided not to adopt the HPAGE_MASK,
as this would have a significant detrimental effect on the overall
system latency due to page_table_lock being held for too long.
This could be revisited if split huge page locks are adopted.

Rob Herring 92871b94a5 ARM: 7855/1: Add check for Cortex-A15 errata 798181 ECO
The work-around for A15 errata 798181 is not needed if appropriate ECO
fixes have been applied to r3p2 and earlier core revisions. This can be
checked by reading REVIDR register bits 4 and 9. If only bit 4 is set,
then the IPI broadcast can be skipped.
