Internally for "consistent" maps, we create a temporary struct
drm_dma_handle in order to use our own dma_alloc_coherent wrapper then
destroy the temporary wrap. Simplify our logic by removing the temporary
wrapper!

The copy_from_user() function returns the number of bytes remaining
to be copied but we want to return a negative error code. Otherwise
the callers treat it as a successful copy.

The use of the drmP.h header file is deprecated.
Remove use from all files in drm/*
so people do not look there and follow a bad example.
Build tested allyesconfig,allmodconfig on x86, arm etc.
Including alpha that is as always more challenging than
the rest.

Un-inline drm_legacy_findmap() to not depend on struct drm_device
definition within drm_legacy.h, so that a forward declaration suffices.
Also include drm_hashtab.h in drm_legacy.h to make it more

idx can be indirectly controlled by user-space, hence leading to a
potential exploitation of the Spectre variant 1 vulnerability.
This issue was detected with the help of Smatch:
drivers/gpu/drm/drm_bufs.c:1420 drm_legacy_freebufs() warn: potential
spectre issue 'dma->buflist' [r] (local cap)
Fix this by sanitizing idx before using it to index dma->buflist
Notice that given that speculation windows are large, the policy is
to kill the speculation on the first load and not worry if it can be
completed with a dependent load/store [1].

If the ioctl is not supported on a particular piece of HW/driver
combination, report ENOTSUP (aka EOPNOTSUPP) so that it can be easily
distinguished from both the lack of the ioctl and from a regular invalid
parameter.
v2: Across all the kms ioctls we had a mixture of reporting EINVAL,
ENODEV and a few ENOTSUPP (most where EINVAL) for a failed
drm_core_check_feature(). Update everybody to report ENOTSUPP.
v3: ENOTSUPP is an internal errno! It's value (524) does not correspond
to a POSIX errno, the one we want is ENOTSUP. However,
uapi/asm-generic/errno.h doesn't include ENOTSUP but man errno says
"ENOTSUP and EOPNOTSUPP have the same value on Linux,
but according to POSIX.1 these error values should be
distinct."
so use EOPNOTSUPP as its equivalent.

A multiplication for the size determination of a memory allocation
indicated that an array data structure should be processed.
Thus use the corresponding function "kmalloc_array".
This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.

Except for nouveau, only legacy drivers need this really. And nouveau
is already marked up with DRIVER_KMS_LEGACY_CONTEXT as the special
case.
I've tried to be careful to leave everything related to modeset still
using the DRIVER_MODESET flag. Otherwise it's a direct replacement of
!DRIVER_MODESET with DRIVER_LEGACY checks. Also helps readability
since fewer negative checks overall.

There can only be one current master, and it's for the overall device.
Render/control minors don't support master-based auth at all.
This simplifies the master logic a lot, at least in my eyes: All these
additional pointer chases are just confusing.
While doing the conversion I spotted some locking fail:
- drm_lock/drm_auth check dev->master without holding the
master_mutex. This is fallout from

- debugfs name info should just grab master_mutex.
- And the fbdev helper looked at it to figure out whether someone is

guess current userspace doesn't really do that yet.

And again make sure it's a no-op for modern drivers. Another case of
dev->struct_mutex gone for modern drivers!
Note that the entirety of the legacy addmap interface is now protected
by DRIVER_MODESET. Note that just auditing kernel code is not enough,
since userspace loves to set up legacy maps on it's own for various
things - with ums userspace and kernel space share control over
resources.
v2: Also add a DRIVER_* check like for all other maps functions to
really short-circuit the code. And give drm_legacy_rmmap used by the
dev unregister code the same treatment.

We already express the drm/agp depencies correctly in Kconfig, so we
can rip this remnant from the shared drm core days.
Aside: Pretty much all the #ifdefs in radeon/nouveau could be killed
if ttm would provide dummy functions. I'm not going to volunteer for
that though.

Most place actually want to just check for dev->agp (most do, but a
few don't so this fixes a few potential NULL derefs). The only
exception is the agp init code which should check for the AGP driver
feature flag.

Gone with the new gem vma offset manager from David.
We can also ditch the uapi header definition from the enum since
userspace never used this. It ended up in there purely for historical
reasons (for reusing the old drm mmap code essentially), not because
userspace ever needed it.

We might as well have a real ioctl function which checks for the
callbacks. This seems to be a remnant from back in the days when each
drm driver had their own complete ioctl table, with no shared core
drm table at all.
To make really sure no mis-guided user in a kms driver pops up again
explicitly check for that in the new ioctl implementation.

The new arch_phys_wc_add/del functions do the right thing both with
and without MTRR support in the kernel. So we can drop these
additional checks.
David Herrmann suggest to also kill the DRIVER_USE_MTRR flag since
it's now unused, which spurred me to do a bit a better audit of the
affected drivers. David helped a lot in that. Quoting our mail

Cool, thanks a lot for stitching together the list of drivers to look
at. So for real KMS drivers it's the drives responsibility to add an
mtrr if it needs one. nouvea, radeon, mgag200, i915 and vmwgfx do that
already. Somehow the savage driver also ends up doing that, I have no
idea why.
Note that gma500 as a pure KMS driver doesn't need MTRR setup since
the platforms that it supports all support PAT. So no MTRRs needed to
get wc iomappings.
The mtrr support in the drm core is all for legacy mappings of garts,
framebuffers and registers. All legacy drivers set the USE_MTRR flag,
so we're good there.
All in all I think we can really just ditch this

Now only legacy ums drivers have the DRIVER_HAVE_DMA driver feature
flag set, so strictly speaking the modesetting check is redundant. But
adding it has the upside that it makes it very clear that the dma
support is legacy stuff.

Previously, DRM_FRAME_BUFFER mappings, as well as DRM_REGISTERS
mappings with DRM_WRITE_COMBINING set, resulted in an unconditional
MTRR being added but the actual mappings being created as UC-.
Now these mappings have the MTRR added only if needed, but they will
be mapped with pgprot_writecombine.
The non-WC DRM_REGISTERS case now uses pgprot_noncached instead of
hardcoding the bit twiddling.
The DRM_AGP case is unchanged for now.

This continues the theme started with vm_brk() and vm_munmap():
vm_mmap() does the same thing as do_mmap(), but additionally does the
required VM locking.
This uninlines (and rewrites it to be clearer) do_mmap(), which sadly
duplicates it in mm/mmap.c and mm/nommu.c. But that way we don't have
to export our internal do_mmap_pgoff() function.
Some day we hopefully don't have to export do_mmap() either, if all
modular users can become the simpler vm_mmap() instead. We're actually
very close to that already, with the notable exception of the (broken)
use in i810, and a couple of stragglers in binfmt_elf.

Drivers using multiple framebuffers got broken by commit
41c2e75e60 which ignored the framebuffer
(or register) map offset when looking for existing maps. The rationale
was that the kernel-userspace ABI is fixed at a 32-bit offset, so the
real offsets could not always be handed over for comparison.
Instead of ignoring the offset we will compare the lower 32 bit. Drivers
using multiple framebuffers should just make sure that the lower 32 bit
are different. The existing drivers in question are practically limited
to 32-bit systems so that should be fine for them.
It is assumed that current drivers always specify a correct framebuffer
map offset, even if this offset was ignored since above commit. So this
patch should not change anything for drivers using only one framebuffer.
Drivers needing multiple framebuffers with 64-bit map offsets will need
to cook up something, for instance keeping an ID in the lower bit which
is to be aligned away when it comes to using the offset.
All of above applies to _DRM_REGISTERS as well.
