Boris Sukholitko 99fdb22bc5 net/sched: flower: Consider the number of tags for vlan filters
Before this patch the existence of vlan filters was conditional on the vlan
protocol being matched in the tc rule. For example, the following rule:

tc filter add dev eth1 ingress flower vlan_prio 5

was illegal because vlan protocol (e.g. 802.1q) does not appear in the rule.

Remove the above restriction by looking at the num_of_vlans filter to
allow further matching on vlan attributes. The following rule becomes
legal as a result of this commit:

tc filter add dev eth1 ingress flower num_of_vlans 1 vlan_prio 5

because having num_of_vlans==1 implies that the packet is single tagged.

Change is_vlan_key helper to look at the number of vlans in addition to
the vlan ethertype. The outcome of this change is that outer (e.g. vlan_prio)
and inner (e.g. cvlan_prio) tag vlan filters require the number of vlan
tags to be greater then 0 and 1 accordingly.

As a result of is_vlan_key change, the ethertype may be set to 0 when
matching on the number of vlans. Update fl_set_key_vlan to avoid setting
key, mask vlan_tpid for the 0 ethertype.

The verbose flag was added in commit 81c7288b17 ("sched: cls: enable

occur "when the rule is not to be exclusively executed by the hardware".

However, such error messages are currently suppressed when setup of flow
action fails. Take the verbose flag into account to avoid suppressing
error messages. This is done by using the extack pointer initialized by
tc_cls_common_offload_init(), which performs the necessary checks.

Vlad Buslov 2105f700b5 net/sched: flower: fix parsing of ethertype following VLAN header
A tc flower filter matching TCA_FLOWER_KEY_VLAN_ETH_TYPE is expected to
match the L2 ethertype following the first VLAN header, as confirmed by
linked discussion with the maintainer. However, such rule also matches
packets that have additional second VLAN header, even though filter has
both eth_type and vlan_ethtype set to "ipv4". Looking at the code this
seems to be mostly an artifact of the way flower uses flow dissector.
First, even though looking at the uAPI eth_type and vlan_ethtype appear
like a distinct fields, in flower they are all mapped to the same
key->basic.n_proto. Second, flow dissector skips following VLAN header as
no keys for FLOW_DISSECTOR_KEY_CVLAN are set and eventually assigns the
value of n_proto to last parsed header. With these, such filters ignore any
headers present between first VLAN header and first "non magic"
header (ipv4 in this case) that doesn't result
FLOW_DISSECT_RET_PROTO_AGAIN.

Fix the issue by extending flow dissector VLAN key structure with new
'vlan_eth_type' field that matches first ethertype following previously
parsed VLAN header. Modify flower classifier to set the new
flow_dissector_key_vlan->vlan_eth_type with value obtained from
TCA_FLOWER_KEY_VLAN_ETH_TYPE/TCA_FLOWER_KEY_CVLAN_ETH_TYPE uAPIs.

Yoshiki Komachi 6de6e46d27 cls_flower: Fix inability to match GRE/IPIP packets
When a packet of a new flow arrives in openvswitch kernel module, it dissects
the packet and passes the extracted flow key to ovs-vswtichd daemon. If hw-
offload configuration is enabled, the daemon creates a new TC flower entry to
bypass openvswitch kernel module for the flow (TC flower can also offload flows
to NICs but this time that does not matter).

In this processing flow, I found the following issue in cases of GRE/IPIP
packets.

When ovs_flow_key_extract() in openvswitch module parses a packet of a new
GRE (or IPIP) flow received on non-tunneling vports, it extracts information
of the outer IP header for ip_proto/src_ip/dst_ip match keys.

This means ovs-vswitchd creates a TC flower entry with IP protocol/addresses
match keys whose values are those of the outer IP header. OTOH, TC flower,
which uses flow_dissector (different parser from openvswitch module), extracts
information of the inner IP header.

The following flow is an example to describe the issue in more detail.

   <----------- Outer IP -----------------> <---------- Inner IP ---------->
  +----------+--------------+--------------+----------+----------+----------+
  | ip_proto | src_ip | dst_ip | ip_proto | src_ip | dst_ip |
  | 47 (GRE) | 192.168.10.1 | 192.168.10.2 | 6 (TCP) | 10.0.0.1 | 10.0.0.2 |
  +----------+--------------+--------------+----------+----------+----------+

In this case, TC flower entry and extracted information are shown as below:

  - ovs-vswitchd creates TC flower entry with:
      - ip_proto: 47
      - src_ip: 192.168.10.1
      - dst_ip: 192.168.10.2

  - TC flower extracts below for IP header matches:
      - ip_proto: 6
      - src_ip: 10.0.0.1
      - dst_ip: 10.0.0.2

Thus, GRE or IPIP packets never match the TC flower entry, as each
dissector behaves differently.

IMHO, the behavior of TC flower (flow dissector) does not look correct,
as ip_proto/src_ip/dst_ip in TC flower match means the outermost IP
header information except for GRE/IPIP cases. This patch adds a new
flow_dissector flag FLOW_DISSECTOR_F_STOP_BEFORE_ENCAP which skips
dissection of the encapsulated inner GRE/IPIP header in TC flower
classifier.

Cong Wang 695176bfe5 net_sched: refactor TC action init API
TC action ->init() API has 10 parameters, it becomes harder
to read. Some of them are just boolean and can be replaced
by flags. Similarly for the internal API tcf_action_init()
and tcf_exts_validate().

This patch converts them to flags and fold them into
the upper 16 bits of "flags", whose lower 16 bits are still
reserved for user-space. More specifically, the following
kernel flags are introduced:

TCA_ACT_FLAGS_POLICE replace 'name' in a few contexts, to
distinguish whether it is compatible with policer.

TCA_ACT_FLAGS_BIND replaces 'bind', to indicate whether
this action is bound to a filter.

TCA_ACT_FLAGS_REPLACE replaces 'ovr' in most contexts,
means we are replacing an existing action.

TCA_ACT_FLAGS_NO_RTNL replaces 'rtnl_held' but has the
opposite meaning, because we still hold RTNL in most
cases.

The only user-space flag TCA_ACT_FLAGS_NO_PERCPU_STATS is
untouched and still stored as before.

I have tested this patch with tdc and I do not see any
failure related to this patch.

Vladimir Oltean abee13f53e net/sched: cls_flower: use nla_get_be32 for TCA_FLOWER_KEY_FLAGS
The existing code is functionally correct: iproute2 parses the ip_flags
argument for tc-flower and really packs it as big endian into the
TCA_FLOWER_KEY_FLAGS netlink attribute. But there is a problem in the
fact that W=1 builds complain:

net/sched/cls_flower.c:1047:15: warning: cast to restricted __be32

This is because we should use the dedicated helper for obtaining a
__be32 pointer to the netlink attribute, not a u32 one. This ensures
type correctness for be32_to_cpu.

net/sched/cls_flower.c:214:20: expected unsigned short [usertype] val
net/sched/cls_flower.c:214:20: got restricted __be16 [usertype] dst

This is because we use htons on struct flow_dissector_key_ports members
src and dst, which are defined as __be16, so they are already in network
byte order, not host. The byte swap function for the other direction
should have been used.

Because htons and ntohs do the same thing (either both swap, or none
does), this change has no functional effect except to silence the
warnings.

fl_set_enc_opt() simply checks if there are still bytes left to parse,
but this is not sufficent as syzbot seems to be able to generate

used to validate the next nlattr here.

And nla_validate_nested_deprecated() has less strict check too, it is
probably too late to switch to the strict version, but we can just
call nla_ok() too after it.

Toke Høiland-Jørgensen d7bf2ebebc sched: consistently handle layer3 header accesses in the presence of VLANs
There are a couple of places in net/sched/ that check skb->protocol and act
on the value there. However, in the presence of VLAN tags, the value stored
in skb->protocol can be inconsistent based on whether VLAN acceleration is
enabled. The commit quoted in the Fixes tag below fixed the users of
skb->protocol to use a helper that will always see the VLAN ethertype.

However, most of the callers don't actually handle the VLAN ethertype, but
expect to find the IP header type in the protocol field. This means that
things like changing the ECN field, or parsing diffserv values, stops
working if there's a VLAN tag, or if there are multiple nested VLAN
tags (QinQ).

To fix this, change the helper to take an argument that indicates whether
the caller wants to skip the VLAN tags or not. When skipping VLAN tags, we
make sure to skip all of them, so behaviour is consistent even in QinQ
mode.

To make the helper usable from the ECN code, move it to if_vlan.h instead
of pkt_sched.h.

v3:
- Remove empty lines
- Move vlan variable definitions inside loop in skb_protocol()
- Also use skb_protocol() helper in IP{,6}_ECN_decapsulate() and
  bpf_skb_ecn_set_ce()

v2:
- Use eth_type_vlan() helper in skb_protocol()
- Also fix code that reads skb->protocol directly
- Change a couple of 'if/else if' statements to switch constructs to avoid
  calling the helper twice

same type and we can't parse the list with nla_parse*() and have the
attributes validated automatically using an nla_policy.

fl_set_key_mpls_opts() properly verifies that all attributes in the
list are TCA_FLOWER_KEY_MPLS_OPTS_LSE. Then fl_set_key_mpls_lse()
uses nla_parse_nested() on all these attributes, thus verifying that
they have the NLA_F_NESTED flag. So we can safely drop the
mpls_opts_policy.

Arnd Bergmann 0af413bd3e flow_dissector: work around stack frame size warning
The fl_flow_key structure is around 500 bytes, so having two of them
on the stack in one function now exceeds the warning limit after an
otherwise correct change:

net/sched/cls_flower.c:298:12: error: stack frame size of 1056 bytes in function 'fl_classify' [-Werror,-Wframe-larger-than=]

I suspect the fl_classify function could be reworked to only have one
of them on the stack and modify it in place, but I could not work out
how to do that.

As a somewhat hacky workaround, move one of them into an out-of-line
function to reduce its scope. This does not necessarily reduce the stack
usage of the outer function, but at least the second copy is removed
from the stack during most of it and does not add up to whatever is
called from there.

I now see 552 bytes of stack usage for fl_classify(), plus 528 bytes
for fl_mask_lookup().

Guillaume Nault 61aec25a6d cls_flower: Support filtering on multiple MPLS Label Stack Entries
With struct flow_dissector_key_mpls now recording the first
FLOW_DIS_MPLS_MAX labels, we can extend Flower to filter on any of
these LSEs independently.

In order to avoid creating new netlink attributes for every possible
depth, let's define a new TCA_FLOWER_KEY_MPLS_OPTS nested attribute
that contains the list of LSEs to match. Each LSE is represented by
another attribute, TCA_FLOWER_KEY_MPLS_OPTS_LSE, which then contains
the attributes representing the depth and the MPLS fields to match at
this depth (label, TTL, etc.).

For each MPLS field, the mask is always set to all-ones, as this is
what the original API did. We could allow user configurable masks in
the future if there is demand for more flexibility.

The new API also allows to only specify an LSE depth. In that case,
Flower only verifies that the MPLS label stack depth is greater or
equal to the provided depth (that is, an LSE exists at this depth).

Filters that only match on one (or more) fields of the first LSE are
dumped using the old netlink attributes, to avoid confusing user space
programs that don't understand the new API.

Guillaume Nault 58cff782cc flow_dissector: Parse multiple MPLS Label Stack Entries
The current MPLS dissector only parses the first MPLS Label Stack
Entry (second LSE can be parsed too, but only to set a key_id).

This patch adds the possibility to parse several LSEs by making
__skb_flow_dissect_mpls() return FLOW_DISSECT_RET_PROTO_AGAIN as long
as the Bottom Of Stack bit hasn't been seen, up to a maximum of
FLOW_DIS_MPLS_MAX entries.

FLOW_DIS_MPLS_MAX is arbitrarily set to 7. This should be enough for
many practical purposes, without wasting too much space.

To record the parsed values, flow_dissector_key_mpls is modified to
store an array of stack entries, instead of just the values of the
first one. A bit field, "used_lses", is also added to keep track of
the LSEs that have been set. The objective is to avoid defining a
new FLOW_DISSECTOR_KEY_MPLS_XX for each level of the MPLS stack.

TC flower is adapted for the new struct flow_dissector_key_mpls layout.
Matching on several MPLS Label Stack Entries will be added in the next
patch.

The NFP and MLX5 drivers are also adapted: nfp_flower_compile_mac() and
mlx5's parse_tunnel() now verify that the rule only uses the first LSE
and fail if it doesn't.

Finally, the behaviour of the FLOW_DISSECTOR_KEY_MPLS_ENTROPY key is
slightly modified. Instead of recording the first Entropy Label, it
now records the last one. This shouldn't have any consequences since
there doesn't seem to have any user of FLOW_DISSECTOR_KEY_MPLS_ENTROPY
in the tree. We'd probably better do a hash of all parsed MPLS labels
instead (excluding reserved labels) anyway. That'd give better entropy
and would probably also simplify the code. But that's not the purpose
of this patch, so I'm keeping that as a future possible improvement.
