Add support for handling supply regulators in the soc_common code. This
allows us to separate out the board specifics for setting voltages from
the PCMCIA code.
We detect when setting a voltage fails, and report this fact - some
platforms have fixed-voltage supplies (eg, for CF sockets at 3.3V) and
we need to ignore attempts to configure for 5V, as per the existing
board specific drivers.

Add a helper to get the voltage state of CF sockets, where the voltage
sense pins are not wired up. Switch assabet and cerf to use this
helper.

If an attempt to set a socket state returns an error, restore the
previous socket state. If restoring the previous socket state
fails, warn about this.
This allows us to have simple error handling in the socket state
configuration handlers - there is no need for every handler
implementation to manually undo the updates, which can be complex
when regulators are involved.

Request the legacy card detect signal with the active low property and
remove our own negation of the detection value. This allows us to use
the firmware-defined polarities rather than hard-coding it into the
driver.

When testing Lubbock, it was noticed that the sa1111 pcmcia driver bound
but was not functional due to no sockets being registered. This is
because the return code from the lowlevel board initialisation was not
being propagated out of the probe function. Fix this.

PCMCIA suspend/resume no longer works since the commit mentioned below,
as the callbacks are no longer made. Convert the driver to the new
dev_pm_ops, which restores the suspend/resume functionality. Tested on
the arm arch Assabet platform.

remove the usage of removed irq_to_gpio() function. On pre-DB1200
boards, pass the actual carddetect GPIO number instead of the IRQ,
because we need the gpio to actually test card status (inserted or
not) and can get the irq number with gpio_to_irq() instead.
Tested on DB1300 and DB1500, this patch fixes PCMCIA on the DB1500,
which used irq_to_gpio().

Most arches have an asm/gpio.h that merely includes linux/gpio.h. The
others select ARCH_HAVE_CUSTOM_GPIO_H, and when that's selected,
linux/gpio.h includes asm/gpio.h.
Therefore, code should include linux/gpio.h instead of including asm/gpio.h
directly.
Remove includes of asm/gpio.h, adding an include of linux/gpio.h when
necessary.
This is a follow-on to 7563bbf89d ("gpiolib/arches: Centralise
bolierplate asm/gpio.h").

clk_get(dev, NULL) will always refer to the same clock, so it's
pointless calling this multiple times for the same device. As we no

Patch 1c6c9b1d9d caused a regression for rsrc_nonstatic: It relies
on pccard_validate_cis() to determine whether an iomem resource can
be used for PCMCIA cards. This override, however, lead invalid iomem
resources to be accepted -- and lead to a fake CIS being used instead
of the original CIS.
To fix this issue, move the override for anonymous cards to the one
place where it is needed -- when adding a PCMCIA device.

There are some resource leaks in yenta_probe() and _close(). I fixed
the following issues with some code cleanups. Thanks to Dominik's
suggestions.
On the error path in yenta_probe():
- a requested irq is not released
- yenta_free_resources() and pci_set_drvdata(dev, NULL) are not called
In yenta_close():
- kfree(sock) is not called
- sock->base is always set to non-NULL when yenta_close() is called,
therefore the check in yenta_close() is not necessary.

Disable write buffering on the Toshiba ToPIC95 if it is enabled by
somebody (it is not supposed to be a power-on default according to
the datasheet). On the ToPIC95, practically no 32-bit Cardbus card
will work under heavy load without locking up the whole system if
this is left enabled. I tried about a dozen. It does not affect
16-bit cards. This is similar to the O2 bugs in early controller
revisions it seems.

We've got a fairly large cleanup branch this time. The bulk of this is removal
of non-DT platforms of several flavors:
- Atmel at91 platforms go full-DT, with removal of remaining board-file based
support
- OMAP removes legacy board files for three more platforms
- Removal of non-DT mach-msm, newer Qualcomm platforms now live in mach-qcom
- Freescale i.MX25 also removes non-DT platform support
Most of the rest of the changes here are fallout from the above, i.e. for

The mach/io.h header on at91 is used to support a nonstandard I/O space
window for the cf card driver. This changes the driver to use pci_ioremap_io
in order to have the standard location, and then removes the custom
mach/io.h.

The recently added rsrc_pci.c file calls pci_bus_alloc_resource without
including the header file that declares it, and that sometimes causes

On a pure PCI platform we don't actually need all the complexity of the
rsrc_nonstatic manager, in fact we can just work directly with the pci
allocators and avoid all the complexity (and code bloat).

The core pcmcia code blows up all over the place if it allowed a card without
a valid CIS. We need to allow such cards as the CIS stuff is not on the older
flash, ROM and SRAM cards.
In order to minimise the risk of misidentifying junk and feeding it to the
wrong thing we only fix up apparently anonymous cards if the driver for them
has been enabled.

The requery logic goes off and attempts to read the CIS of empty slots. In
most cases this happens not to do any harm - but not all!
Add the missing check and also a WARN() to catch any other offenders.

The current code displays warnings but then proceeds to try and reference
the data through the PCMCIA window. Instead return 0xff. This prevents bogus
CIS data sending us off into hyperspace.

Call clk_prepare_enable() during hw_init() and clk_disable_unprepare()
during hw_shutdown() to ensure that the clock rates returned by
clk_get_rate() are correct.
It is safe to call enable/disable functions even on NULL clock, so this
patch will not break cases when the socket clock is not set.

The lubbock platform uses the sa1111 companion chip with a pxa250
CPU, which means it requires both the PCMCIA_SA1111 and the
PCMCIA_PXA2XX code to be built into the kernel. Unfortunately,
the Makefile and Kconfig don't agree on how this is accomplished,
leading to a situation where you get this link error when building
a lubbock kernel with PCMCIA_SA1111 enabled but PCMCIA_PXA2XX
disabled:

When building a iPAQ H3100-only kernel with PCMCIA enabled,
we get this build error:
ERROR: "pcmcia_h3600_init" [drivers/pcmcia/sa1100_cs.ko] undefined!
The defconfig normally works fine because it enables both H3100
and H3600 support. This patch fixes the Makefile to build the
driver if at least one of the two machines are selected.

This driver doesn't build, and apparently has not built since
arch/ppc was removed in 2008 (when mk_int_int_mask was removed
from asm/irq.h, among other build errors).
A few weeks ago I asked whether anyone was actively maintaining
this code, and got no positive response:

Multiple race conditions are possible between the cardbus PCI device
addition and removal and the generic PCI bus rescan and device removal that
can be triggered via sysfs.
To avoid those race conditions make the cardbus code use global PCI
rescan-remove locking.

These interfaces:
pcibios_resource_to_bus(struct pci_dev *dev, *bus_region, *resource)
pcibios_bus_to_resource(struct pci_dev *dev, *resource, *bus_region)
took a pci_dev, but they really depend only on the pci_bus. And we want to
use them in resource allocation paths where we have the bus but not a
device, so this patch converts them to take the pci_bus instead of the
pci_dev:

pcibios_bus_to_resource(struct pci_bus *bus, *resource, *bus_region)
In fact, with standard PCI-PCI bridges, they only depend on the host

Commit b5b4bb3f6a (of: only include prom.h on sparc) removed implicit
includes of of_*.h headers by powerpc's prom.h. Some components were
missed in initial clean-up patch, so add the necessary includes to fix
powerpc builds.

Here's the big driver core / sysfs update for 3.13-rc1.
There's lots of dev_groups updates for different subsystems, as they all
get slowly migrated over to the safe versions of the attribute groups
(removing userspace races with the creation of the sysfs files.) Also
in here are some kobject updates, devres expansions, and the first round
of Tejun's sysfs reworking to enable it to be used by other subsystems
as a backend for an in-kernel filesystem.
All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
issues.

The dev_attrs field of struct bus_type is going away soon, dev_groups

Move probe out of __init section and don't use platform_driver_probe
which cannot be used with deferred probing.
Since commit e9354576 ("gpiolib: Defer failed gpio requests by default")
this driver might return -EPROBE_DEFER if a gpio_request fails.

We currently enable PCI bridges after scanning a bus and assigning
resources. This is often done in arch code.
This patch changes this so we don't enable a bridge until necessary, i.e.,
until we enable a PCI device behind the bridge. We do this in the generic
pci_enable_device() path, so this also removes the arch-specific code to
enable bridges.

described in the shortlog. Nice thing here is that we finally get rid
of CONFIG_HOTPLUG, after 10+ years, thanks to Stephen Rohtwell (it had
been always on for a number of kernel releases, now it's just removed.)
