Dan Carpenter d0f8430332 rsi: fix error code in rsi_load_9116_firmware()
This code returns success if the kmemdup() fails, but obviously it
should return -ENOMEM instead.

Martin Fuzzey 314538041b rsi: fix AP mode with WPA failure due to encrypted EAPOL
In AP mode WPA2-PSK connections were not established.

The reason was that the AP was sending the first message
of the 4 way handshake encrypted, even though no pairwise
key had (correctly) yet been set.

Encryption was enabled if the "security_enable" driver flag
was set and encryption was not explicitly disabled by
IEEE80211_TX_INTFL_DONT_ENCRYPT.

However security_enable was set when *any* key, including
the AP GTK key, had been set which was causing unwanted
encryption even if no key was avaialble for the unicast
packet to be sent.

Fix this by adding a check that we have a key and drop
the old security_enable driver flag which is insufficient
and redundant.

The Redpine downstream out of tree driver does it this way too.

Regarding the Fixes tag the actual code being modified was
introduced earlier, with the original driver submission, in
dad0d04fa7 ("rsi: Add RS9113 wireless driver"), however
at that time AP mode was not yet supported so there was
no bug at that point.

So I have tagged the introduction of AP support instead
which was part of the patch set "rsi: support for AP mode" [1]

It is not clear whether AP WPA has ever worked, I can see nothing
on the kernel side that broke it afterwards yet the AP support
patch series says "Tests are performed to confirm aggregation,
connections in WEP and WPA/WPA2 security."

One possibility is that the initial tests were done with a modified
userspace (hostapd).

Marek Vasut b1c3a24897 rsi: Assign beacon rate settings to the correct rate_info descriptor field
The RSI_RATE_x bits must be assigned to struct rsi_data_desc rate_info
field. The rest of the driver does it correctly, except this one place,
so fix it. This is also aligned with the RSI downstream vendor driver.
Without this patch, an AP operating at 5 GHz does not transmit any
beacons at all, this patch fixes that.

Marek Vasut 65277100ca rsi: Fix TX EAPOL packet handling against iwlwifi AP
In case RSI9116 SDIO WiFi operates in STA mode against Intel 9260 in AP mode,
the association fails. The former is using wpa_supplicant during association,
the later is set up using hostapd:

iwl$ cat hostapd.conf
interface=wlp1s0
ssid=test
country_code=DE
hw_mode=g
channel=1
wpa=2
wpa_passphrase=test
wpa_key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
iwl$ hostapd -d hostapd.conf

rsi$ wpa_supplicant -i wlan0 -c <(wpa_passphrase test test)

The problem is that the TX EAPOL data descriptor RSI_DESC_REQUIRE_CFM_TO_HOST
flag and extended descriptor EAPOL4_CONFIRM frame type are not set in case the
AP is iwlwifi, because in that case the TX EAPOL packet is 2 bytes shorter.

The downstream vendor driver has this change in place already [1], however
there is no explanation for it, neither is there any commit history from which
such explanation could be obtained.

Johan Hovold 92aafe7712 rsi: fix use-after-free on probe errors

something which specifically could lead to the timer being freed while

Prameela Rani Garnepudi 7fdcb8e126 rsi: add support for hardware scan offload
With the current approach of scanning, roaming delays are observed.
Firmware has support for back ground scanning. To get this advantage,
mac80211 hardware scan is implemented, which decides type of scan to
do based on connected state.

When station is in not connected, driver returns with special value 1
to trigger software scan in mac80211. In case of connected state,
background scan will be triggered.

To support roaming below changes are done:
* Station notify frame is send to firmware after sending assoc

  delay in creation of station control block in firmware.
* Data queues are unblocked after sending station notify in open
  mode, after configuring key in WEP mode, and after receiving
  EAPOL4 confirm in WPA mode.
* Initial EAPOL frames priority is chaged to MGMT, rekey EAPOL
  frames priority changed to VO.

Siva Rebbagondla 716b840c76 rsi: handle BT traffic in driver
BT frames are passed through coex and hal modules to BUS.
After firmware is loaded, based on the operating mode CARD
READY frame comes for each protocol. When BT card ready is
received, BT attach is called.

Prameela Rani Garnepudi d26a955940 rsi: add beacon changes for AP mode
Mac80211 config parameter BEACON_ENABLE is handled. When VAP
capabilities frame with AP mode is configured to firmware, beacon
events start coming to host at each PreTBTT. At this time, beacon
is taken from mac80211, descriptor is prepared and send to firmware.

Prameela Rani Garnepudi 9920322ccd rsi: add tx frame for common device configuration
After successful loading of firmware, a CARD READY indication is
received by host. Common device configuration parameters are sent
to the device after this. It includes information like device
operating mode (Wi-Fi alone or BT coex), power save related
parameters, GPIO information etc. As device supports BT coex,
this frame is send in COEX queue initially. Based on the operating
mode, CARD READY indication is received from each protocol module
in firmware i.e. WLAN, BT.

Prameela Rani Garnepudi 015e367494 rsi: Register interrupt handler before firmware load
Before firmware load, sometimes false interrupts are received.
System hang is observed if interrupt handler is not registered
to receive these interrupts. Hence interrupt handler registration
is moved before firmware load. We will drop these false interrupts
as these are not from the device.

Prameela Rani Garnepudi b78e91bcfb rsi: Add new firmware loading method
The older firmware loading method has been deprecated and not in use
for any chipets. New method is introduced which works based on soft
boot loader. In this method, complete RAM image and FLASH image are
present in the flash. Before loading the functional firmware, host
issues boot loader commands to verify whether firmware to load is
different from the current functional firmware. If not, firmware
upgrade progresses and boot loader will switch to the new functional
firmware.

"rs9113_wlan_qspi.rps" is the firmware filename used in this patch.

Prameela Rani Garnepudi d7af6bb7e5 rsi: Rename file rsi_91x_pkt.c to rsi_91x_hal.c
The file rsi_91x_hal.c is going to contain device specific code i.e new
firmware loading method for RS9113 chipset. As the file rsi_91x_pkt.c
contains code to prepare device specific descriptors for transmit packet,
this file is renamed to rsi_91x_hal.c which is more relevant as per it's
functionality.
