Uwe Kleine-König 3fd269e74f amba: Make the remove callback return void
All amba drivers return 0 in their remove callback. Together with the
driver core ignoring the return value anyhow, it doesn't make sense to
return a value here.

Change the remove prototype to return void, which makes it explicit that
returning an error value doesn't work as expected. This simplifies changing
the core remove callback to return void, too.

Yong Wu 8d2c749e52 iommu/mediatek: Support master use iova over 32bit
After extending v7s, our pagetable already support iova reach
16GB(34bit). the master got the iova via dma_alloc_attrs may reach
34bits, but its HW register still is 32bit. then how to set the
bit32/bit33 iova? this depend on a SMI larb setting(bank_sel).

we separate whole 16GB iova to four banks:
bank: 0: 0~4G; 1: 4~8G; 2: 8-12G; 3: 12-16G;
The bank number is (iova >> 32).

We will preassign which bank the larbs belong to. currently we don't
have a interface for master to adjust its bank number.

Each a bank is a iova_region which is a independent iommu-domain.
the iova range for each iommu-domain can't cross 4G.

Pan Bian 94e9dd43cf memory: ti-aemif: Drop child node when jumping out loop
Call of_node_put() to decrement the reference count of the child node
child_np when jumping out of the loop body of
for_each_available_child_of_node(), which is a macro that increments and
decrements the reference count of child node. If the loop is broken, the
reference of the child node should be dropped manually.

Dmitry Osipenko 6ce84ab649 memory: tegra: Check whether reset is already asserted
Check whether memory client reset is already asserted in order to prevent
DMA-flush error on trying to re-assert an already asserted reset.

This becomes a problem once PMC GENPD is enabled to use memory resets
since GENPD will get a error and fail to toggle power domain. PMC GENPDs
can't be toggled safely without holding memory reset on Tegra and we're
about to fix this.

Xu Yilun 477dfdccfc memory: dfl-emif: add the DFL EMIF private feature driver
This driver is for the EMIF private feature implemented under FPGA
Device Feature List (DFL) framework. It is used to expose memory
interface status information as well as memory clearing control.

The purpose of memory clearing block is to zero out all private memory
when FPGA is to be reprogrammed. This gives users a reliable method to
prevent potential data leakage.

Dmitry Osipenko 9c56679d6f memory: tegra124-emc: Continue probing if timings are missing in device-tree
EMC driver will become mandatory after turning it into interconnect
provider because interconnect users, like display controller driver, will
fail to probe using newer device-trees that have interconnect properties.
Thus make EMC driver to probe even if timings are missing in device-tree.

Dmitry Osipenko 281462e593 memory: tegra124-emc: Make driver modular
Add modularization support to the Tegra124 EMC driver, which now can be
compiled as a loadable kernel module.

Note that EMC clock must be registered at clk-init time, otherwise PLLM
will be disabled as unused clock at boot time if EMC driver is compiled
as a module. Hence add a prepare/complete callbacks. similarly to what is
done for the Tegra20/30 EMC drivers.

Zhang Qilong a2d522ff0f memory: mtk-smi: Fix PM usage counter unbalance in mtk_smi ops
pm_runtime_get_sync will increment pm usage counter
even it failed. Forgetting to putting operation will
result in reference leak here. We fix it by replacing
it with pm_runtime_resume_and_get to keep usage counter
balanced.

Dmitry Osipenko 7e04ce2a9d memory: tegra20: Support hardware versioning and clean up OPP table initialization
Support hardware versioning, which is now required for Tegra20 EMC OPP.
Clean up OPP table initialization by using a error code returned by OPP
API for judging about the OPP table presence in a device-tree and remove
OPP regulator initialization because we're now going to use power domain
instead of a raw regulator. This puts Tegra20 EMC OPP preparation on par
with the Tegra30/124 EMC drivers.

Lad Prabhakar a0453f4ed0 memory: renesas-rpc-if: Return correct value to the caller of rpcif_manual_xfer()
In the error path of rpcif_manual_xfer() the value of ret is overwritten
by value returned by reset_control_reset() function and thus returning
incorrect value to the caller.

This patch makes sure the correct value is returned to the caller of
rpcif_manual_xfer() by dropping the overwrite of ret in error path.
Also now we ignore the value returned by reset_control_reset() in the
error path and instead print a error message when it fails.

Nicolin Chen 4a91b11c0a memory: tegra: Complete tegra210_swgroups
According to Tegra X1 TRM, there are missing swgroups in the
tegra210_swgroups list. So this patch adds them to the list.

Note that the TEGRA_SWGROUP_GPU (in list) should be actually
TEGRA_SWGROUP_GPUB (in TRM), yet TEGRA_SWGROUP_GPU (in TRM) is not being
used -- only TEGRA_SWGROUP_GPUB (in TRM) is. So this patch does not add
TEGRA_SWGROUP_GPU (in TRM) and keeps TEGRA_SWGROUP_GPU (in list)
as it is.

dependency on CONFIG_ARM_AMBA:

Chanwoo Choi 02bdbf7d09 PM / devfreq: event: Change prototype of devfreq_event_get_edev_by_phandle function
Previously, devfreq core support 'devfreq-events' property in order to get
the devfreq-event device by phandle. But, 'devfreq-events' property name is
not proper on devicetree binding because this name doesn't mean
the any h/w attribute.

The devfreq-event core hand over the rights to decide the property name
for getting the devfreq-event device on devicetree. Each devfreq-event driver
will decide the property name on devicetree binding and then pass
the their own property name to devfreq_event_get_edev_by_phandle function.

And change the prototype of devfreq_event_get_edev_count function
because of used deprecated 'devfreq-events' property.

Along with this change, we get additionally:
        .owner          = THIS_MODULE,
        .llseek         = seq_lseek,

1. The llseek method is used to change the current read/write position
in a file which can be ignored if you don't use it.
2. The owner is not even a method. Instead, it is a pointer to the
module that “owns” this structure; it is used by the kernel to maintain
the module's usage count which can be ignored.

Thierry Reding ea90f66f2a memory: tegra: Remove GPU from DRM IOMMU group
Commit 63a613fdb1 ("memory: tegra: Add gr2d and gr3d to DRM IOMMU
group") added the GPU to the DRM IOMMU group, which doesn't make any
sense. This causes problems when Nouveau tries to attach to the SMMU
and causes it to fall back to using the DMA API.

Remove the GPU from the DRM groups to restore the old behaviour. The
GPU should always have its own IOMMU domain to make sure it can map
buffers into contiguous chunks (for big page support) without getting
in the way of mappings from the DRM group.

The struct exynos5_dmc members bypass_rate, mx_mspll_ccore_phy,

Apparently there was a plan to store the OPP for the bypass mode in
opp_bypass member, but driver fails to do it and instead always sets
target voltage during bypass mode.

Dan Carpenter fd22781648 memory: emif: Remove bogus debugfs error handling
Callers are generally not supposed to check the return values from
debugfs functions.  Debugfs functions never return NULL so this error
handling will never trigger.  (Historically debugfs functions used to
return a mix of NULL and error pointers but it was eventually deemed too
complicated for something which wasn't intended to be used in normal
situations).

Delete all the error handling.

Markus Mayer f42ae4bbf9 memory: brcmstb_dpfe: fix array index out of bounds
We would overrun the error_text array if we hit a TIMEOUT condition,
because we were using the error code "ETIMEDOUT" (which is 110) as an
array index.

We fix the problem by correcting the array index and by providing a
function to retrieve error messages rather than accessing the array
directly. The function includes a bounds check that prevents the array
from being overrun.

Krzysztof Kozlowski 1724f1b696 memory: omap-gpmc: remove GPMC_SET_ONE_CD_MAX macro for safety
The GPMC_SET_ONE_CD_MAX macro uses return statement and variable 'cs'
coming from called scope.  This is not a good practice.  Also
checkpatch complained:

    WARNING: Macros with flow control statements should be avoided
    ERROR: Macros starting with if should be enclosed by a do - while
        loop to avoid possible if/else logic defects

Since GPMC_SET_ONE_CD_MAX macro just calls one function, it can be open
coded.  The difference with original code is that function will exit on
error not after every register set, but after a group of sets.

Lukasz Luba 4fc9a0470d memory: samsung: exynos5422-dmc: Add module param to control IRQ mode
The driver can operate in two modes relaying on devfreq monitoring
mechanism which periodically checks the device status or it can use
interrupts when they are provided by loaded Device Tree. The newly
introduced module parameter can be used to choose between devfreq
monitoring and internal interrupts without modifying the Device Tree.
It also sets devfreq monitoring as default when the parameter is not set
(also the case for default when the driver is not built as a module).

Check for regmap_read() return code before using the read value in
following write in exynos5_switch_timing_regs().  Pass reading error
code to the callers.

This does not introduce proper error handling for such failed reads (and

ignored this in all places.  Therefor it only fixes reported issue while

controller") and commit 4e04b88633 ("memory: tegra: Only include
support for enabled SoCs") incorrectly added the KCONFIG variables
CONFIG_ARCH_TEGRA186_SOC and CONFIG_ARCH_TEGRA194_SOC to the Tegra EMC
driver. These KCONFIG variables do not exist and prevent the EMC driver
from being probed on Tegra186 and Tegra194. These KCONFIG variable
names are simply missing one underscore and so fix this by adding the
necessary underscore to the variable names.

NFS root), it could get to the point that completion timeouts before boot
CPU gets a chance to handle interrupt. The solution is to get rid of the
completion and replace it with interrupt-status polling.

Thierry Reding 0553d7b204 memory: tegra: Support derated timings on Tegra210
Derated timings are used to ensure that the memory chips keep operating
correctly at high temperatures. This adds code to support polling of the
chip operating state when high temperatures are measured on the chip and
change the refresh mode accordingly. Under very high temperatures, the
driver will switch to the derated tables to ensure proper operation of
the memory chips.

Joseph Lo 9b9d8632f5 memory: tegra: Add EMC scaling sequence code for Tegra210
This patch includes the sequence for clock tuning and the dynamic
training mechanism for the clock above 800MHz.

And historically there have been different sequences to change the EMC
clock. The sequence to be used is specified in the EMC table.
However, for the currently supported upstreaming platform, only the most
recent sequence is used. So only support that in this patch.

Joseph Lo 10de21148f memory: tegra: Add EMC scaling support code for Tegra210
This is the initial patch for Tegra210 EMC frequency scaling. It has the
code to program various aspects of the EMC that are standardized, but it
does not yet include the specific programming sequence needed for clock
scaling.

The driver is designed to support LPDDR4 SDRAM. Devices that use LPDDR4
need to perform training of the RAM before it can be used. Firmware will
perform this training during early boot and pass a table of supported
frequencies to the kernel via device tree.

For the frequencies above 800 MHz, periodic retraining is needed to
compensate for changes in timing. This periodic training will have to be
performed until the frequency drops back to or below 800 MHz.

This driver provides helpers used during this runtime retraining that
will be used by the sequence specific code in a follow-up patch.

Arnd Bergmann 0d583273b4 Merge branch 'baikal/drivers' into arm/drivers
[arnd: This is a patch series from Serge Semin to add a few drivers
 that don't have any other subsystem maintainer tree to go through,
 so I'm picking them up through the soc tree, full series description
 from the mailing list below]

Baikal-T1 SoC CPU is based on two MIPS Warrior P5600 cores. Their main
memory Non-Coherent IO interface is connected to the OCP2AXI bridge,
which in turn is then connected to the DW AMBA 3 AXI Interconnect (so
called Main Interconnect) with nine masters and four slaves ports. Main
Interconnect is responsible for the AXI-bus traffic arbitration (QoS)
and its routing from one component to another. In addition there is
a Errors Handler Block (EHB) accesible by means of the Baikal-T1 SoC
System Controller responsible to detect AXI protocol errors and device
not responding situations built on top the interconnect. Baikal-T1 AXI-bus
driver included in this patchset will be responsible for working with that
functionality, though currently it doesn't support QoS tuning. Instead
it's capable of detecting the error events, reporting an info about
them to the system log, injecting artificial errors to test the driver
functionality. Since AXI Interconnect doesn't provide a way to find
out which devices are connected to it, so its DT node is supposed to
be compatible with "simple-bus" driver, while sub-nodes shall represent
the masters attached to the bus.

One of the AXI Interconnect slaves is an AXI-APB bridge used to access the
Baikal-T1 SoC subsystems CSRs. MMIO request from CPU and DMAC masters are
routed there if they are detected to be within [0x08000000 0x1FFFFFFF]
range of the physical memory. In case if an attempted APB transaction
stays with no response for a pre-defined time it will be detected by
the APB-bus Errors Handler Block (EHB), which will raise an interrupt,
then the bus gets freed for a next operation. The APB-bus driver provides
the interrupt handler to detect the erroneous address, update an errors
counter and prints an error message about the faulty address. The counter
and the APB-bus operations timeout can be accessed via corresponding sysfs
nodes. A dedicated sysfs-node can be also used to artificially cause the
bus errors described above. Since APB-bus is a platform bus, it doesn't
provide a way to detect slave devices connected to it, so similarly to
the AXI-bus it's also supposed to be compatible with "simple-bus" driver.

Aside from PCIe/SATA/DDR/I2C/EHB/CPU/reboot specific settings the
Baikal-T1 System Controller provides a MIPS P5600 CM2 L2-cache tuning
block. It is responsible for the setting up the Tag/Data/WS L2-to-RAM
latencies. The last small patch in this patchset provides a driver and
DT-schema-based binding for the described device. So that the latencies
can be tuned up by means of dedicated DT properties and sysfs nodes.

This patchset is rebased and tested on the mainline Linux kernel
5.7-rc4.

Serge Semin 83ca8b3e8f memory: Add Baikal-T1 L2-cache Control Block driver
Baikal-T1 SoC provides a way to tune the MIPS P5600 CM2 L2-cache
performance up. It can be done by changing the L2-RAM Data/Tag/WS
latencies in a dedicated register exposed by the system controller.
The driver added by this commit provides a dts properties-based and
sysfs-based interface for it. The device DT node is supposed to be a
child of Baikal-T1 System Controller node.
