Rob Herring 778ec49c14 tty: Use of_node_name_{eq,prefix} for node name comparisons
Convert string compares of DT node names to use of_node_name_eq helper
instead. This removes direct access to the node name pointer.

For hvc, the code can also be simplified by using of_stdout pointer
instead of searching again for the stdout node.

Nicholas Piggin cca3d5290e tty: hvc: remove unexplained "just in case" spin delay
This delay was in the very first OPAL console commit 6.5 years ago,
and came from the vio hvc driver. The firmware console has hardened

Nicholas Piggin 17cc1dd492 powerpc/powernv: implement opal_put_chars_atomic
The RAW console does not need writes to be atomic, so relax
opal_put_chars to be able to do partial writes, and implement an
_atomic variant which does not take a spinlock. This API is used
in xmon, so the less locking that is used, the better chance there
is that a crash can be debugged.

Nicholas Piggin ac4ac788fd powerpc/powernv: move opal console flushing to udbg
OPAL console writes do not have to synchronously flush firmware /
hardware buffers unless they are going through the udbg path.

Remove the unconditional flushing from opal_put_chars. Flush if
there was no space in the buffer as an optimisation (callers loop
waiting for success in that case). udbg flushing is moved to
udbg_opal_putc.

Stewart Smith 447808bf50 hvc_opal: don't set tb_ticks_per_usec in udbg_init_opal_common()
time_init() will set up tb_ticks_per_usec based on reality.
time_init() is called *after* udbg_init_opal_common() during boot.

from arch/powerpc/kernel/time.c:
  unsigned long tb_ticks_per_usec = 100; /* sane default */

Currently, all powernv systems have a timebase frequency of 512mhz
(512000000/1000000 == 0x200) - although there's nothing written
down anywhere that I can find saying that we couldn't make that
different based on the requirements in the ISA.

So, we've been (accidentally) thwacking the (currently) correct
(for powernv at least) value for tb_ticks_per_usec earlier than
we otherwise would have.

The "sane default" seems to be adequate for our purposes between
udbg_init_opal_common() and time_init() being called, and if it isn't,
then we should probably be setting it somewhere that isn't hvc_opal.c!

Greg Kroah-Hartman a9f96f014f tty: hvc: Remove redundant license text
Now that the SPDX tag is in all tty files, that identifies the license
in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wording
can be removed as it is no longer needed at all.

This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in
the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff
like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never
needed.

No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed.

Greg Kroah-Hartman e3b3d0f549 tty: add SPDX identifiers to all remaining files in drivers/tty/
It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to
audit the kernel tree for correct licenses.

Update the drivers/tty files files with the correct SPDX license
identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX
identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of
the full boiler plate text.

This work is based on a script and data from Thomas Gleixner, Philippe
Ombredanne, and Kate Stewart.

Sam Mendoza-Jonas bbc3dfe880 tty/hvc: Use IRQF_SHARED for OPAL hvc consoles
Commit 2def86a720 ("hvc: Convert to using interrupts instead of opal
events") enabled the use of interrupts in the hvc_driver for OPAL
platforms. However on machines with more than one hvc console, any
console after the first will fail to register an interrupt handler in
notifier_add_irq() since all consoles share the same IRQ number but do
not set the IRQF_SHARED flag:

  genirq: Flags mismatch irq 31. 00000000 (hvc_console) vs. 00000000 (hvc_console)
  hvc_open: request_irq failed with rc -16.

This error propagates up to hvc_open() and the console is closed, but
OPAL will still generate interrupts that are not handled, leading to
rcu_sched stall warnings.

Set IRQF_SHARED when calling request_irq(), allowing additional consoles
to start properly. This is only set for consoles handled by
hvc_opal_probe(), leaving other types unaffected.

Paul Gortmaker 4fedd0bf47 drivers/tty/hvc: don't use module_init in non-modular hyp. console code
The HVC_OPAL/RTAS/UDBG/XEN options are all bool, and hence their support
is either present or absent. It will never be modular, so using
module_init as an alias for __initcall is rather misleading.

Fix this up now, so that we can relocate module_init from
init.h into module.h in the future. If we don't do this, we'd
have to add module.h to obviously non-modular code, and that
would be a worse thing.

Note that direct use of __initcall is discouraged, vs. one
of the priority categorized subgroups. As __initcall gets
mapped onto device_initcall, our use of device_initcall
directly in this change means that the runtime impact is
zero -- it will remain at level 6 in initcall ordering.

Also the __exitcall functions have been outright deleted since
they are only ever of interest to UML, and UML will never be
using any of this code.

Benjamin Herrenschmidt daea1175a9 powerpc/powernv: Support for OPAL console
This adds a udbg and an hvc console backend for supporting a console
using the OPAL console interfaces.

On OPAL v1 we have hvc0 mapped to whatever console the system was
configured for (network or hvsi serial port) via the service
processor.

On OPAL v2 we have hvcN mapped to the Nth console provided by OPAL
which generally corresponds to:

	hvc0 : network console (raw protocol)
	hvc1 : serial port S1 (hvsi)
	hvc2 : serial port S2 (hvsi)

Note: At this point, early debug console only works with OPAL v1
and shouldn't be enabled in a normal kernel.
