When building with -Wsometimes-uninitialized, Clang warns:
drivers/net/ethernet/sun/niu.c:7466:5: warning: variable 'class' is used
uninitialized whenever switch default is taken
[-Wsometimes-uninitialized]
The default case can never happen because i can only be 0 to 3
(NIU_L3_PROG_CLS is defined as 4). To make this clear to Clang,
just zero initialize class in the default case (use the macro
CLASS_CODE_UNRECOG to make it clear this shouldn't happen).

Notable changes:
- Enable THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK to move thread_info off the stack.
- A big series from Christoph reworking our DMA code to use more of the generic
infrastructure, as he said:
"This series switches the powerpc port to use the generic swiotlb and
noncoherent dma ops, and to use more generic code for the coherent direct
mapping, as well as removing a lot of dead code."
- Increase our vmalloc space to 512T with the Hash MMU on modern CPUs, allowing
us to support machines with larger amounts of total RAM or distance between
nodes.
- Two series from Christophe, one to optimise TLB miss handlers on 6xx, and
another to optimise the way STRICT_KERNEL_RWX is implemented on some 32-bit
CPUs.
- Support for KCOV coverage instrumentation which means we can run syzkaller
and discover even more bugs in our code.
And as always many clean-ups, reworks and minor fixes etc.

Clang is concerned with the use of stmmac_do_void_callback (which
stmmac_get_timestamp and stmmac_config_sub_second_increment wrap),
as it may fail to initialize these values if the if condition was ever
false (meaning the callbacks don't exist). It's not wrong because the
callbacks (get_timestamp and config_sub_second_increment respectively)
are the ones that initialize the variables. While it's unlikely that the
callbacks are ever going to disappear and make that condition false, we
can easily avoid this warning by zero initialize the variables.

The enic driver relies on the CONFIG_CPUMASK_OFFSTACK feature to
dynamically allocate a struct member, but this is normally intended for
local variables.
Building with clang, I get a warning for a few locations that check the
address of the cpumask_var_t:
drivers/net/ethernet/cisco/enic/enic_main.c:122:22: error: address of array 'enic->msix[i].affinity_mask' will always evaluate to 'true' [-Werror,-Wpointer-bool-conversion]
As far as I can tell, the code is still correct, as the truth value of
the pointer is what we need in this configuration. To get rid of
the warning, use cpumask_available() instead of checking the
pointer directly.

Hardware has the CBS (Credit Based Shaper) which affects only Q3

after waiting for Tx DMA finished, there is a possibility that frame
data still remains in TxFIFO.
To avoid this, decrease TxFIFO depth of Q3 and Q2 to one.

Patch series "Replace all open encodings for NUMA_NO_NODE", v3.
All these places for replacement were found by running the following
grep patterns on the entire kernel code. Please let me know if this
might have missed some instances. This might also have replaced some
false positives. I will appreciate suggestions, inputs and review.
1. git grep "nid == -1"
2. git grep "node == -1"
3. git grep "nid = -1"
4. git grep "node = -1"
This patch (of 2):
At present there are multiple places where invalid node number is
encoded as -1. Even though implicitly understood it is always better to
have macros in there. Replace these open encodings for an invalid node
number with the global macro NUMA_NO_NODE. This helps remove NUMA
related assumptions like 'invalid node' from various places redirecting
them to a common definition.

Once channels were successfully opened, update tx reporter health state to
healthy. This is needed for the following scenario:
- SQ has an un-recovered error reported to the devlink health, resulting tx
reporter state to be error.
- Current channels (including this SQ) are closed
- New channels are opened
After that flow, the original error was "solved", and tx reporter state
should be healthy. However, as it was resolved as a side effect, and not
via tx reporter recover method, driver needs to inform devlink health
about it.

When macb device is suspended and system is powered down, the clocks
are removed and hence macb should be closed gracefully and restored
upon resume. This patch does the same by switching off the net device,
suspending phy and performing necessary cleanup of interrupts and BDs.
Upon resume, all these are reinitialized again.
Reset of macb device is done only when GEM is not a wake device.
Even when gem is a wake device, tx queues can be stopped and ptp device

wake event detection has no dependency on this.

This patch adds calls in the stop() helper to ensure both MACs and
both PCS blocks are set in reset when the user manually sets a port
down. This is done so that we have the exact same block reset states at
boot time and when a port is set down.

This patch sets both the XPCS and MPCS blocks in reset when they aren't
used. This is done both at boot time and when reconfiguring a port mode.
The advantage now is that only the PCS used is set out of reset when the
port is configured (10GKR uses the MCPS while RXAUI uses the XPCS).

This patch makes sure both PPv2 MACs (GMAC + XLG MAC) are set in reset
while a port is reconfigured. This is done so that we make sure a MAC is
in a reset state when not used, as only one of the two will be set out
of reset after the port is configured properly.

This patch reworks the way the XLG MAC is set in reset: the XLG MAC is
set in reset at probe time and taken out of this state only when used.
The idea is to move forward a situation where only the blocks used are
taken out of reset. This also has the effect to handle the GMAC and the
XLG MAC in a similar way (the GMAC already is set in reset at boot
time).

This patch force the XLG MAC link state in the phylink link_up() and
link_down() helpers when not using in-band auto-negotiation. This mimics
what's already done for the GMAC and follows what's advised in the
phylink documentation.

This patch improves the XLG configuration function, to only update the
XLG configuration register when a change is needed. This helps not
writing over and over the same XLG configuration each time phylink
request the MAC to be configured. This mimics the GMAC configuration
function.

This patch modifies the port_disable() helper to always disable both the
GMAC and the XLG MAC when called. At boot time we do not know of a port
was enabled in the firmware/bootloader, and if so what mode was used
(hence which of the two MACs was used).
This also help in implementing a logic where all blocks are disabled
when not used, and only enabled regarding the current mode used on a
given port.

The GMAC configuration helper modifies values in the auto-negotiation
register. Some of its values require the port to be forced down when
modifying their values. This patches fixes the check made on the bit to
be updated in this register, so that the port is forced down when
needed. This fix cases where some of those parameters were updated, but
not taken into account, such as when using RGMII interfaces.

The patch fixes the computation of RXQs being used by the PPv2 driver,
which is set depending on the PPv2 engine version and the queue mode
used. There are three cases:
- PPv2.1: 1 RXQ per CPU.
- PPV2.2 with MVPP2_QDIST_MULTI_MODE: 1 RXQ per CPU.
- PPv2.2 with MVPP2_QDIST_SINGLE_MODE: 1 RXQ is shared between the CPUs.
The PPv2 engine supports a maximum of 32 queues per port. This patch
adds a check so that we do not overstep this maximum.
It appeared the calculation was broken for PPv2.1 engines since
f8c6ba8424, as PPv2.1 ports ended up with a single RXQ while they
needed 4. This patch fixes it.

The Phylink validate function is the Marvell PPv2 driver makes a check
on the GoP id. This is valid an has to be done when using PPv2.2 engines
but makes no sense when using PPv2.1. The check done when using an RGMII
interface makes sure the GoP id is not 0, but this breaks PPv2.1. Fixes
it.

we resolve the route and neighbour in order to get the source /

Since the way we offload multipath route is by having two HW rules,

However, unlike the LAG case, we do want to allow failure for adding

the route lookup when one path (next hop device) is down.

To support multipath offload we are going to track SW multipath route
and related nexthops. To do that we register to FIB notifier and handle
the route and next-hops events and reflect that as port affinity to HW.
When there is a new multipath route entry that all next-hops are the
ports of an HCA we will activate LAG in HW.
Egress wise, we use HW LAG as the means to emulate multipath on current
HW which doesn't support port selection based on xmit hash. In the
presence of multiple VFs which use multiple SQs (send queues) this
yields fairly good distribution.
HA wise, HW LAG buys us the ability for a given RQ (receive queue) to
receive traffic from both ports and for SQs to migrate xmitting over
the active port if their base port fails.
When the route entry is being updated to single path we will update
the HW port affinity to use that port only.
If a next-hop becomes dead we update the HW port affinity to the living
port.
When all next-hops are alive again we reset the affinity to default.
Due to FW/HW limitations, when a route is deleted we are not disabling
the HW LAG since doing so will not allow us to enable it again while
VFs are bounded. Typically this is just a temporary state when a
routing daemon removes dead routes and later adds them back as needed.

When mode is to be changed in mvneta_mac_config, first power the comphy

There have been reports of oversize UDP packets being sent to the

likely caused by the dst of the SKB switching between 'lo' with
64K MTU and the hardware device with a smaller MTU. Patches are

issue.
In the meantime, add a quick length check in the driver to prevent
the error. The driver uses the TX packet size as index to look up an
array to setup the TX BD. The array is large enough to support all MTU
sizes supported by the driver. The oversize TX packet causes the
driver to index beyond the array and put garbage values into the
TX BD. Add a simple check to prevent this.

On older devices like X710 and X722, the VF's ARQLEN register is cleared
on reset, so the VF driver uses that register to detect an unannounced
reset. Unfortunately, on devices controlled by ice, this register is NOT
cleared on reset. This causes the VF to miss resets, and even on
properly-announced resets, the VF driver complains that it didn't see
the reset.
To fix this, we'll do it in software. When we handle a VF reset (whether
triggered by software or VFLR), clear this register after the HW reset
is complete.

Don't send a link message to the VFs unless link actually changes state.
This avoids a small timing hole in some VF drivers that can cause an
apparent TX hang if they receive a link status message at the wrong time.
Although we have fixed the timing hole in the current VF driver, there
are still lots of drivers in the field that have this timing hole. Let's
not fall into it if we can avoid it.

Currently if the kernel has the intel_iommu=on parameter set, on some
platforms removing the driver causes a system reboot. In initialization
we associate the control queue interrupts with the pf->hw_oicr_idx and
enable the interrupts by setting the CAUSE_ENA bit. The problem comes
on teardown because we are not clearing the CAUSE_ENA bit for the
control queues, but the vector at pf->hw_oicr_idx (miscellaneous
interrupt vector) gets disabled.
Fix this by clearing the CAUSE_ENA bit in the appropriate control queue
registers on when freeing the miscellaneous interrupt vector. Also,
move the call to ice_free_irq_msix_misc() to after ice_deinit_sw() in
ice_remove() because ice_deinit_sw() makes an AQ call, but
ice_free_irq_msix_misc() disables the miscellaneous vector and it's
associated interrupts.
Also, create two small helper functions to enable and disable the
control queue interrupts respectively.

When adding multiple VLANs to the same VSI, the ice_add_vlan code will
share the VSI list, so as not to create multiple unnecessary VSI lists.
Consider the following flow
ice_add_vlan(hw, <VSI 0 VID 7, VSI 0 VID 8, VSI 0 VID 9>)
Where we add three VLAN filters for VIDs 7, 8, and 9, all for VSI 0.
The ice_add_vlan will create a single vsi_list and share it among all
the filters.
Later, if we try to remove a VLAN,
ice_remove_vlan(hw, <VSI 0 VID 7>)
Then the removal code will update the vsi_list and remove VSI 0 from it.
But, since the vsi_list is shared, this breaks the list for the other
users who reference it. We actually even free the VSI list memory, and
may result in segmentation faults.
This is due to the way that VLAN rule share VSI lists with reference
counts, and is caused because we call ice_rem_update_vsi_list even when
the ref_cnt is greater than one.
To fix this, handle the case where ref_cnt is greater than one
separately. In this case, we need to remove the associated rule without
modifying the vsi_list, since it is currently being referenced by
another rule. Instead, we just need to decrement the VSI list ref_cnt.
The case for handling sharing of VSI lists with multiple VSIs is not
currently supported by this code. No such rules will be created today,
and this code will require changes if/when such code is added.

For MR ACL profile is does not make sense to do periodical rehashes, as
there is only one mask in use during the whole vregion lifetime.
Therefore periodical work is scheduled but the rehash never happens.
So allow to enable/disable rehash for the whole group, which is added

Addition to the vregion list is done only in case the rehash is enable
on the particular vregion. Also, the addition is moved after delayed
work init to avoid schedule of uninitialized work
from vregion_rehash_intrvl_set(). Symmetrically, deletion from
the list is done before canceling the delayed work so it is
not scheduled by vregion_rehash_intrvl_set() again.

Since multiple ethtool link modes are represented using a single bit in the
ASIC, the driver forces the user to configure all types per a specific
speed. For example, if the user wants to advertise 100Gbps 4-lanes speed,
he should advertise all the types of 100Gbps 4-lanes speed that are
supported by the ASIC as shown below:
Supported ethtool bits for 100Gbps 4-lanes:

2) Fix AF_XDP teardown by not destroying umem prematurely as it
is still needed till all outstanding skbs are freed, from Björn.
3) Fix unkillable BPF_PROG_TEST_RUN under preempt kernel by checking
signal_pending() outside need_resched() condition which is never
triggered there, from Stanislav.
4) Fix two nfp JIT bugs, one in code emission for K-based xor, and
another one to explicitly clear upper bits in alu32, from Jiong.
5) Add bpf list address to maintainers file, from Daniel.

The code waits up to 20 usec for the firmware response to complete
once we've seen the valid response header in the buffer. It turns
out that in some scenarios, this wait time is not long enough.
Extend it to 150 usec and use usleep_range() instead of udelay().

The logic that polls for the firmware message response uses a shorter
sleep interval for the first few passes. But there was a typo so it
was using the wrong counter (larger counter) for these short sleep
passes. The result is a slightly shorter timeout period for these
firmware messages than intended. Fix it by using the proper counter.

NFP BPF JIT compiler is doing a couple of small optimizations when jitting
ALU imm instructions, some of these optimizations could save code-gen, for
example:
A & -1 = A
A | 0 = A
A ^ 0 = A
However, for ALU32, high 32-bit of the 64-bit register should still be
cleared according to ISA semantics.

Allow enabling VEPA mode on the HCA's port in legacy devlink mode.

In Virtual Ethernet Port Aggregator (VEPA) mode, the packet skips
the system internal virtual switch and forwards to external network
switch. In Mellanox HCA case, the virtual switch is the HCA's Eswitch.
To support this, an new FDB flow table are created with level 0 and
linked to the existing FDB flow table in legacy mode. By default,
VEPA is turned off and this FDB flow table is empty. When VEPA is
turned on, two rules are created. One rule to forward on uplink vport
traffic to the legacy FDB. The other rule forward all other traffic
to uplink vport.
Other design alternatives were not chosen as explained below:
1. Create a forward rule in ACL flow table (most efficient design).
This approach is the not chosen because firmware does not support
forward rule to uplink vport (0xffff) for ACL flow table.
2. Add additional source port criteria in all the FDB rules to make the
FDB rules to be received rules only. This approach is not chosen because
it is not efficient as there can many rules in the FDB and VEPA mode
cannot be controlled per vport.
3. Add a highest prioirty flow group in the existing legacy FDB Flow
Table instead of a new flow table. This approoach does not work because the
new flow group has the same match criteria as the promiscuous flow group
and mlx5_add_flow_rules does not allow specifying flow group.

Flow entropy is calculated on the inner packet headers and used for
flow distribution in processing, routing etc. For GRE-type
encapsulations the entropy value is placed in the eight LSB of the key
field in the GRE header as defined in NVGRE RFC 7637. For UDP based
encapsulations the entropy value is placed in the source port of the
UDP header.
The hardware may support entropy calculation specifically for GRE and
for all tunneling protocols. With commit df2ef3bff1 ("net/mlx5e: Add
GRE protocol offloading") GRE is offloaded, but the hardware is
configured by default to calculate flow entropy so packets transmitted
on the wire have a wrong key. To support UDP based tunnels (i.e VXLAN),
GRE (i.e. no flow entropy) and NVGRE (i.e. with flow entropy) the
hardware behaviour must be controlled by the driver.
Ensure port entropy calculation is enabled for offloaded VXLAN tunnels
and disable port entropy calculation in the presence of offloaded GRE
tunnels by monitoring the presence of entropy enabling tunnels (i.e
VXLAN) and entropy disabing tunnels (i.e GRE).
