Linus Torvalds c1c76700a0 SPDX changes for 6.0-rc1
Here is the set of SPDX comment updates for 6.0-rc1.

Nothing huge here, just a number of updated SPDX license tags and
cleanups based on the review of a number of common patterns in GPLv2
boilerplate text. Also included in here are a few other minor updates,
2 USB files, and one Documentation file update to get the SPDX lines
 correct.

All of these have been in the linux-next tree for a very long time.

Linus Torvalds e233cc59d0 ARM: SoC updates for 6.0
The updates for arch/arm/mach-* platform code this time are mainly
 minor cleanups.

Most notably, the DaVinci DM644x/DM646x SoC support gets removed. This was
also scheduled for later removal early next year, but Linus Walleij asked
for having them removed earlier to avoid problems for the GPIO subsystem.

Tony Lindgren ab0bbef3ae clocksource/drivers/timer-ti-dm: Make timer selectable for ARCH_K3
Let's make timer-ti-dm selectable for ARCH_K3, and add a separate option
for OMAP_DM_SYSTIMER as there should be no need for it on ARCH_K3.

For older TI SoCs, we are already selecting OMAP_DM_TIMER in
arch/arm/mach-omap*/Kconfig. For mach-omap2, we need to now also select
OMAP_DM_SYSTIMER.

Linus Torvalds ecf0aa5317 ARM: ARMv4T/v5 multiplatform support for v5.19, part 1
This series has been 12 years in the making, it mostly finishes the
work that was started with the founding of Linaro to clean up platform
 support in the kernel.

The largest change here is a cleanup of the omap1 platform, which
is the final ARM machine type to get converted to the common-clk
subsystem. All the omap1 specific drivers are now made independent of the
mach/*.h headers to allow the platform to be part of a generic ARMv4/v5
multiplatform kernel. The last bit that enables this support is still
missing here while we wait for some last dependencies to make it into
the mainline kernel through other subsystems.

The s3c24xx, ixp4xx, iop32x, ep93xx and dove platforms were all almost
at the point of allowing multiplatform kernels, this work gets completed
here along with a few additional cleanup. At the same time, the s3c24xx
and s3c64xx are now deprecated and expected to get removed in the future.

The PXA and OMAP1 bits are in a separate branch because of dependencies.
Once both branches are merged, only the three Intel StrongARM platforms
(RiscPC, Footbridge/NetWinder and StrongARM1100) need separate kernels,
and there are no plans to include these.

Arnd Bergmann deb4471167 ARM: omap: fix address space warnings from sparse
Moving sram code from plat-omap got the attention of the kernel test robot.

I found a few more places with related warnings because the sram
references are a mix of kernel pointers and __iomem pointers:

mach-omap1/sram-init.c:56:17: warning: cast removes address space '__iomem' of expression
mach-omap1/board-ams-delta.c:667:9: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different base types)
mach-omap2/sram.c:78:17: warning: cast removes address space '__iomem' of expression
mach-omap2/omap4-common.c:142:27: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different address spaces)
mach-omap2/omap4-common.c:142:27: expected void [noderef] __iomem *static [toplevel] sram_sync
mach-omap2/omap4-common.c:142:27: got void *
mach-omap2/pm34xx.c:113:45: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different address spaces)
mach-omap2/pm34xx.c:113:45: expected void [noderef] __iomem *save_regs
mach-omap2/pm34xx.c:113:45: got void *extern [addressable] [toplevel] omap3_secure_ram_storage

There is no good solution here, as sram is a bit special in this
regard. Change the annotations to at least shut up the warnings.

ARM: OMAP2+: Fix regression for smc calls for vmap stack
Commit 9c46929e79 ("ARM: implement THREAD_INFO_IN_TASK for uniprocessor
systems") started triggering an issue with smc calls hanging on boot as
VMAP_STACK is now enabled by default.

Based on discussions on the #armlinux irc channel, Arnd noticed that omaps
are using __pa() for stack for smc calls. This does not work with vmap
stack.

Let's fix the issue by changing the param arrays to use static param[5] for
each function for __pa() to work. This consumes a bit more memory compared
to adding a single static buffer, but avoids potential races with the smc
calls initializing the shared buffer. For omap_secure_dispatcher(), we need
to use a cpu specific buffer as there's nothing currently ensuring it only
gets called from cpu0.

Linus Torvalds 634135a07b ARM: SoC updates for 5.15
There are three noteworthy updates for 32-bit arm platforms this time:

  - The Microchip SAMA7 family based on Cortex-A7 gets introduced, a new
cousin to the older SAM9 (ARM9xx based) and SAMA5 (Cortex-A5 based)
    SoCs.

  - The ixp4xx platform (based on Intel XScale) is finally converted to
device tree, and all the old board files are getting removed now.

  - The Cirrus Logic EP93xx platform loses support for the old
MaverickCrunch FPU. Support for compiling user space applications
was already removed in gcc-4.9, and the kernel support for old
applications could not be built with clang ias. After confirming
that there are no remaining users, removing this from the kernel
seemed better than adding support for unused features to clang.

There are minor updates to the aspeed, omap and samsung platforms

Peter Robinson 4297d1c083 arm: omap2: Drop the unused OMAP_PACKAGE_* KConfig entries
The OMAP_PACKAGE_* Kconfig entries are no longer referenced
in the kernel so can be dropped as they're obsolete.

Peter Robinson c8d9a986d0 arm: omap2: Drop obsolete MACH_OMAP3_PANDORA entry
The MACH_OMAP3_PANDORA is no longer referenced anywhere in the kernel
options so it can now be dropped as the board has long moved to DT.

Tony Lindgren 77ed5e9dec memory: omap-gpmc: Drop custom PM calls with cpu_pm notifier
We can now switch over to using cpu_pm instead of custom calls and make
the context save and restore functions static.

Let's also move the save and restore functions to avoid adding forward
declarations for them. And get rid of the static data pointer while at it.

Peter Robinson ae92d42119 arm: omap2: Drop MACH_OMAP3517EVM entry
The MACH_OMAP3517EVM was added back in commit 549f95ed20 due to
being used by the ASoC driver, but this driver was dropped in
commit 2c2596f3ab as the audio for this board had been moved to
a simple-audio-card configuration so MACH_OMAP3517EVM is now
properly unuused and can be dropped.

omap_hwmod_get_pwrdm() may access a NULL clk_hw pointer in some failure
