Linus Torvalds a09476668e Char/Misc and other driver changes for 6.1-rc1
Here is the large set of char/misc and other small driver subsystem
 changes for 6.1-rc1.  Loads of different things in here:
   - IIO driver updates, additions, and changes.  Probably the largest
     part of the diffstat
   - habanalabs driver update with support for new hardware and features,
     the second largest part of the diff.
   - fpga subsystem driver updates and additions
   - mhi subsystem updates
   - Coresight driver updates
   - gnss subsystem updates
   - extcon driver updates
   - icc subsystem updates
   - fsi subsystem updates
   - nvmem subsystem and driver updates
   - misc driver updates
   - speakup driver additions for new features
   - lots of tiny driver updates and cleanups
 
 All of these have been in the linux-next tree for a while with no
 reported issues.

Jiapeng Chong e920209847 thermal/drivers/qcom/spmi-adc-tm5: Remove unnecessary print function dev_err()
The print function dev_err() is redundant because platform_get_irq()
already prints an error.

Daniel Lezcano ca1b9a9eb3 thermal/drivers/qcom: Switch to new of API
The thermal OF code has a new API allowing to migrate the OF
initialization to a simpler approach. The ops are no longer device
tree specific and are the generic ones provided by the core code.

Convert the ops to the thermal_zone_device_ops format and use the new
API to register the thermal zone with these generic ops.

Jishnu Prakash 96f6f333bc thermal/drivers/qcom: Add support for PMIC5 Gen2 ADCTM
Add support for PMIC5 Gen2 ADC_TM, used on PMIC7 chips. It is a
close counterpart of PMIC7 ADC and has the same functionality as
PMIC5 ADC_TM, for threshold monitoring and interrupt generation.
It is present on PMK8350 alone, like PMIC7 ADC and can be used
to monitor up to 8 ADC channels, from any of the PMIC7 PMICs
having ADC on a target, through PBS(Programmable Boot Sequence).

Bjorn Andersson f6c83676c6 thermal/drivers/qcom/spmi-adc-tm5: Add support for HC variant
The variant of the ADC Thermal Monitor block found in e.g. PM8998 is
"HC", add support for this variant to the ADC TM5 driver in order to
support using VADC channels as thermal_zones on SDM845 et al.

Matthias Kaehlcke 70ee251ded thermal/drivers/qcom/spmi-adc-tm5: Don't abort probing if a sensor is not used
adc_tm5_register_tzd() registers the thermal zone sensors for all
channels of the thermal monitor. If the registration of one channel
fails the function skips the processing of the remaining channels
and returns an error, which results in _probe() being aborted.

One of the reasons the registration could fail is that none of the
thermal zones is using the channel/sensor, which hardly is a critical
error (if it is an error at all). If this case is detected emit a
warning and continue with processing the remaining channels.

Colin Ian King 74369d041a thermal: qcom: Fix comparison with uninitialized variable channels_available
Currently the check of chip->channels[i].channel is against an the
uninitialized variable channels_available.  I believe the variable
channels_available needs to be fetched first by the call to adc_tm5_read
before the channels check. Fix the issue swapping the order of the
channels check loop with the call to adc_tm5_read.

Dmitry Baryshkov ca66dca5ed thermal: qcom: add support for adc-tm5 PMIC thermal monitor
Add support for Thermal Monitoring part of PMIC5. This part is closely
coupled with ADC, using it's channels directly. ADC-TM support
generating interrupts on ADC value crossing low or high voltage bounds,
which is used to support thermal trip points.
