Johan Hovold 3f6dbe6212 serial: sunsu: drop low-latency workaround
The sunsu driver has been carrying a workaround for the infamous
low_latency behaviour of tty_flip_buffer_push() by dropping and
reacquiring the port lock in the interrupt handler since 2004.

Since commit a9c3f68f3c ("tty: Fix low_latency BUG"),
tty_flip_buffer_push() always schedules a work item to push data to the
line discipline and there's no need to keep any low_latency hacks around.

Dmitry Safonov 5e637d2be2 tty/serial: Migrate sunsu to use has_sysrq
The SUPPORT_SYSRQ ifdeffery is not nice as:
- May create misunderstanding about sizeof(struct uart_port) between
  different objects
- Prevents moving functions from serial_core.h
- Reduces readability (well, it's ifdeffery - it's hard to follow)

In order to remove SUPPORT_SYSRQ, has_sysrq variable has been added.
Initialise it in driver's probe and remove ifdeffery.

Linus Torvalds 117eda8f71 TTY/Serial driver patches for 4.21-rc1
Here is the large TTY/Serial driver set of patches for 4.21-rc1.

A number of small serial driver changes along with some good tty core
fixes for long-reported issues with locking. There is also a new
console font added to the tree, for high-res screens, so that should be
 helpful for many.

The last patch in the series is a revert of an older one in the tree, it
came late but it resolves a reported issue that linux-next was having
 for some people.

Full details are in the shortlog, and all of these, with the exception
of the revert, have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
 issues.

Yangtao Li d430aff8cd serial/sunsu: fix refcount leak
The function of_find_node_by_path() acquires a reference to the node
returned by it and that reference needs to be dropped by its caller.

su_get_type() doesn't do that. The match node are used as an identifier
to compare against the current node, so we can directly drop the refcount
after getting the node from the path as it is not used as pointer.

Fix this by use a single variable and drop the refcount right after
of_find_node_by_path().

Convert string compares of DT node names to use of_node_name_eq helper

instead of searching again for the stdout node.

Greg Kroah-Hartman e3b3d0f549 tty: add SPDX identifiers to all remaining files in drivers/tty/
It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to
audit the kernel tree for correct licenses.

Update the drivers/tty files files with the correct SPDX license
identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX
identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of
the full boiler plate text.

This work is based on a script and data from Thomas Gleixner, Philippe
Ombredanne, and Kate Stewart.

Linus Torvalds e6b5be2be4 Driver core patches for 3.19-rc1
Here's the set of driver core patches for 3.19-rc1.

They are dominated by the removal of the .owner field in platform

removing a line in a structure.

Other than that, a few minor driver core and debugfs changes. There are
some ath9k patches coming in through this tree that have been acked by
the wireless maintainers as they relied on the debugfs changes.

Peter Hurley ef8b9ddcb4 serial: Fix IGNBRK handling
If IGNBRK is set without either BRKINT or PARMRK set, some uart
drivers send a 0x00 byte for BREAK without the TTYBREAK flag to the
line discipline, when it should send either nothing or the TTYBREAK flag
set. This happens because the read_status_mask masks out the BI
condition, which uart_insert_char() then interprets as a normal 0x00 byte.

SUS v3 is clear regarding the meaning of IGNBRK; Section 11.2.2, General
Terminal Interface - Input Modes, states:
  "If IGNBRK is set, a break condition detected on input shall be ignored;
that is, not put on the input queue and therefore not read by any
   process."

Fix read_status_mask to include the BI bit if IGNBRK is set; the
lsr status retains the BI bit if a BREAK is recv'd, which is
subsequently ignored in uart_insert_char() when masked with the
ignore_status_mask.

Jiri Slaby 2e124b4a39 TTY: switch tty_flip_buffer_push
Now, we start converting tty buffer functions to actually use
tty_port. This will allow us to get rid of the need of tty in many
call sites. Only tty_port will needed and hence no more
tty_port_tty_get in those paths.

Now, the one where most of tty_port_tty_get gets removed:
tty_flip_buffer_push.

IOW we also closed all the races in drivers not using tty_port_tty_get
at all yet.

Also we move tty_flip_buffer_push declaration from include/linux/tty.h
to include/linux/tty_flip.h to all others while we are changing it
anyway.

Jiri Slaby 92a19f9cec TTY: switch tty_insert_flip_char
Now, we start converting tty buffer functions to actually use
tty_port. This will allow us to get rid of the need of tty in many
call sites. Only tty_port will needed and hence no more
tty_port_tty_get in those paths.

tty_insert_flip_char is the next one to proceed. This one is used all
over the code, so the patch is huge.

Paul Gortmaker 4b71598b6a serial: diminish usage of struct serial_uart_config
This structure might have made sense many years ago, but at this
point it is only used in one specific driver, and referenced in
stale comments elsewhere. Rather than change the sunsu.c driver,
simply move the struct to be within the exclusive domain of that
driver, so it won't get inadvertently picked up and used by other
serial drivers going forward. The comments referencing the now
driver specific struct are updated accordingly.

Note that 8250.c has a struct that is similar in usage, with the
name serial8250_config; but is 100% independent and untouched here.

Paul Gortmaker e2c654254e serial: sunsu.c - don't explicitly tie array size to dynamic entity
The addition of 8250-like entities continues to grow, while this
driver has a snapshot of a select few common 8250 UARTs. So it
has no need to grow with the new additions, since it calls out
its own (largely historic) static list which does not grow.

Done via coccinelle scripts like:
