Thomas Zimmermann e5cf6fd4d7 drm/udl: Use offset-adjusted shadow-plane mapping
For framebuffers with non-zero offset fields, shadow-plane helpers
provide a pointer to the first byte of the contained data. Use it in
udl.

Thomas Zimmermann 5ceeb32863 drm/udl: Move vmap out of commit tail
Vmap operations may acquire the dmabuf reservation lock, which is not
allowed within atomic commit-tail functions. Therefore move vmap and
vunmap from the damage handler into prepare_fb and cleanup_fb callbacks.

The mapping is provided as GEM shadow-buffered plane. The functions in
the commit tail use the pre-established mapping for damage handling.

Thomas Zimmermann 49a3f51dfe drm/gem: Use struct dma_buf_map in GEM vmap ops and convert GEM backends
This patch replaces the vmap/vunmap's use of raw pointers in GEM object
functions with instances of struct dma_buf_map. GEM backends are
converted as well. For most of them, this simply changes the returned type.

TTM-based drivers now return information about the location of the memory,
either system or I/O memory. GEM VRAM helpers and qxl now use ttm_bo_vmap()
et al. Amdgpu, nouveau and radeon use drm_gem_ttm_vmap() et al instead of
implementing their own vmap callbacks.

v7:
	* init QXL cursor to mapped BO buffer (kernel test robot)
v5:
	* update vkms after switch to shmem
v4:
	* use ttm_bo_vmap(), drm_gem_ttm_vmap(), et al. (Daniel, Christian)
	* fix a trailing { in drm_gem_vmap()
	* remove several empty functions instead of converting them (Daniel)
	* comment uses of raw pointers with a TODO (Daniel)
	* TODO list: convert more helpers to use struct dma_buf_map

Daniel Vetter 3cb9ae4fd8 drm: Move drm_crtc_init from drm_crtc.h to drm_plane_helper.h
Just a bit of OCD cleanup on headers - this function isn't the core
interface any more but just a helper for drivers who haven't yet
transitioned to universal planes. Put the declaration at the right
spot and sprinkle necessary #includes over all drivers.

Maybe this helps to encourage driver maintainers to do the switch.

v2: Fix #include ordering for tegra, reported by 0-day builder.

v3: Include required headers, reported by Thierry.

Stéphane Marchesin 40377ef2d9 drm/udl: Implement page_flip ioctl
This is a very crude page_flip implementation for UDL. There are ways
to make it better (make it asynchronous, make it do actual vsynced
flips...) but that's for another patch.

Matt Roper f4510a2752 drm: Replace crtc fb with primary plane fb (v3)
Now that CRTC's have a primary plane, there's no need to track the
framebuffer in the CRTC. Replace all references to the CRTC fb with the
primary plane's fb.

This patch was generated by the Coccinelle semantic patching tool using
the following rules:

        @@ struct drm_crtc C; @@
        - (C).fb
        +   C.primary->fb

        @@ struct drm_crtc *C; @@
        -   (C)->fb
        +   C->primary->fb

v3: Generate patch via coccinelle. Actual removal of crtc->fb has been
    moved to a subsequent patch.

v2: Fixup several lingering crtc->fb instances that were missed in the
    first patch iteration. [Rob Clark]

Ville Syrjälä fb85ac4da8 drm: Drop all the stub gamma_get, gamma_set, load_lut functions from drivers
Many of the drivers didn't implement palette/gamma handling, but were forced

Linus Torvalds 612a9aab56 Merge branch 'drm-next' of git://people.freedesktop.org/~airlied/linux
Pull drm merge (part 1) from Dave Airlie:
"So first of all my tree and uapi stuff has a conflict mess, its my
fault as the nouveau stuff didn't hit -next as were trying to rebase
regressions out of it before we merged.

  Highlights:
   - SH mobile modesetting driver and associated helpers
   - some DRM core documentation
   - i915 modesetting rework, haswell hdmi, haswell and vlv fixes, write
combined pte writing, ilk rc6 support,
   - nouveau: major driver rework into a hw core driver, makes features
like SLI a lot saner to implement,
   - psb: add eDP/DP support for Cedarview
   - radeon: 2 layer page tables, async VM pte updates, better PLL
selection for > 2 screens, better ACPI interactions

The rest is general grab bag of fixes.

So why part 1? well I have the exynos pull req which came in a bit
late but was waiting for me to do something they shouldn't have and it
looks fairly safe, and David Howells has some more header cleanups
he'd like me to pull, that seem like a good idea, but I'd like to get
this merge out of the way so -next dosen't get blocked."

Tons of conflicts mostly due to silly include line changes, but mostly
mindless. A few other small semantic conflicts too, noted from Dave's
pre-merged branch.

Dave Airlie 5320918b9a drm/udl: initial UDL driver (v4)
This is an initial drm/kms driver for the displaylink devices.

Supports fb_defio,
supports KMS dumb interface
supports 24bpp via conversion to 16bpp, hw can do this better.
supports hot unplug using new drm core features.

On an unplug, it disables connector polling, unplugs connectors
from sysfs, unplugs fbdev layer (using Kay's API), drops all the
USB device URBs, and call the drm core to unplug the device.

This driver is based in large parts on udlfb.c so I've licensed
it under GPLv2.
