Haiyang Zhang b0689faa8e hv_netvsc: Fix unwanted rx_table reset
In existing code, the receive indirection table, rx_table, is in
struct rndis_device, which will be reset when changing MTU, ringparam,
etc. User configured receive indirection table values will be lost.

To fix this, move rx_table to struct net_device_context, and check
netif_is_rxfh_configured(), so rx_table will be set to default only
if no user configured value.

Haiyang Zhang c39ea5cba5 hv_netvsc: Fix tx_table init in rndis_set_subchannel()
Host can provide send indirection table messages anytime after RSS is
enabled by calling rndis_filter_set_rss_param(). So the host provided
table values may be overwritten by the initialization in
rndis_set_subchannel().

To prevent this problem, move the tx_table initialization before calling

Haiyang Zhang 171c1fd98d hv_netvsc: Fix send_table offset in case of a host bug
If negotiated NVSP version <= NVSP_PROTOCOL_VERSION_6, the offset may
be wrong (too small) due to a host bug. This can cause missing the
end of the send indirection table, and add multiple zero entries from
leading zeros before the data region. This bug adds extra burden on
channel 0.

So fix the offset by computing it from the data structure sizes. This
will ensure netvsc driver runs normally on unfixed hosts, and future
fixed hosts.

Haiyang Zhang 71f21959dd hv_netvsc: Fix offset usage in netvsc_send_table()
To reach the data region, the existing code adds offset in struct
nvsp_5_send_indirect_table on the beginning of this struct. But the
offset should be based on the beginning of its container,
struct nvsp_message. This bug causes the first table entry missing,
and adds an extra zero from the zero pad after the data region.
This can put extra burden on the channel 0.

So, correct the offset usage. Also add a boundary check to ensure
not reading beyond data region.

Taehee Yoo ab92d68fc2 net: core: add generic lockdep keys
Some interface types could be nested.
(VLAN, BONDING, TEAM, MACSEC, MACVLAN, IPVLAN, VIRT_WIFI, VXLAN, etc..)
These interface types should set lockdep class because, without lockdep
class key, lockdep always warn about unexisting circular locking.

In the current code, these interfaces have their own lockdep class keys and
these manage itself. So that there are so many duplicate code around the
/driver/net and /net/.
This patch adds new generic lockdep keys and some helper functions for it.

This patch does below changes.
a) Add lockdep class keys in struct net_device
   - qdisc_running, xmit, addr_list, qdisc_busylock
   - these keys are used as dynamic lockdep key.
b) When net_device is being allocated, lockdep keys are registered.
   - alloc_netdev_mqs()
c) When net_device is being free'd llockdep keys are unregistered.
   - free_netdev()
d) Add generic lockdep key helper function
   - netdev_register_lockdep_key()
   - netdev_unregister_lockdep_key()
   - netdev_update_lockdep_key()
e) Remove unnecessary generic lockdep macro and functions
f) Remove unnecessary lockdep code of each interfaces.

After this patch, each interface modules don't need to maintain
their lockdep keys.

Linus Torvalds 2f4c533499 SPDX update for 5.2-rc3, round 1
Here is another set of reviewed patches that adds SPDX tags to different
 kernel files, based on a set of rules that are being used to parse the
 comments to try to determine that the license of the file is
 "GPL-2.0-or-later" or "GPL-2.0-only". Only the "obvious" versions of
 these matches are included here, a number of "non-obvious" variants of
 text have been found but those have been postponed for later review and
 analysis.

 There is also a patch in here to add the proper SPDX header to a bunch
 of Kbuild files that we have missed in the past due to new files being
 added and forgetting that Kbuild uses two different file names for
 Makefiles. This issue was reported by the Kbuild maintainer.

 These patches have been out for review on the linux-spdx@vger mailing
 list, and while they were created by automatic tools, they were
 hand-verified by a bunch of different people, all whom names are on the
 patches are reviewers.

Haiyang Zhang 93aa4792c3 hv_netvsc: fix race that may miss tx queue wakeup
When the ring buffer is almost full due to RX completion messages, a
TX packet may reach the "low watermark" and cause the queue stopped.
If the TX completion arrives earlier than queue stopping, the wakeup
may be missed.

This patch moves the check for the last pending packet to cover both
EAGAIN and success cases, so the queue will be reliably waked up when
necessary.

Florian Westphal 6b16f9ee89 net: move skb->xmit_more hint to softnet data
There are two reasons for this.

First, the xmit_more flag conceptually doesn't fit into the skb, as
xmit_more is not a property related to the skb.
Its only a hint to the driver that the stack is about to transmit another
packet immediately.

Second, it was only done this way to not have to pass another argument
to ndo_start_xmit().

We can place xmit_more in the softnet data, next to the device recursion.
The recursion counter is already written to on each transmit. The "more"
indicator is placed right next to it.

Drivers can use the netdev_xmit_more() helper instead of skb->xmit_more
to check the "more packets coming" hint.

skb->xmit_more is retained (but always 0) to not cause build breakage.

This change takes care of the simple s/skb->xmit_more/netdev_xmit_more()/
conversions. Remaining drivers are converted in the next patches.

Paolo Abeni a350eccee5 net: remove 'fallback' argument from dev->ndo_select_queue()
After the previous patch, all the callers of ndo_select_queue()
provide as a 'fallback' argument netdev_pick_tx.
The only exceptions are nested calls to ndo_select_queue(),
which pass down the 'fallback' available in the current scope

We can drop such argument and replace fallback() invocation with
netdev_pick_tx(). This avoids an indirect call per xmit packet

with device drivers implementing such ndo. It also clean the code
a bit.

     process_one_work

     ret_from_fork

Before path #1 finishes, path #2 can start to run, because just before
the "bus_probe_device(dev);" in device_add() in path #1, there is a line
"object_uevent(&dev->kobj, KOBJ_ADD);", so systemd-udevd can
immediately try to load hv_netvsc and hence path #2 can start to run.

Next, path #2 offloads the subchannal's initialization to a workqueue,
i.e. path #3, so we can end up in a deadlock situation like this:

Path #2 gets the device lock, and is trying to get the rtnl lock;
Path #3 gets the rtnl lock and is waiting for all the subchannel messages
to be processed;
Path #1 is trying to get the device lock, but since #2 is not releasing
the device lock, path #1 has to sleep; since the VMBus messages are
processed one by one, this means the sub-channel messages can't be
procedded, so #3 has to sleep with the rtnl lock held, and finally #2
has to sleep... Now all the 3 paths are sleeping and we hit the deadlock.

With the patch, we can make sure #2 gets both the device lock and the
rtnl lock together, gets its job done, and releases the locks, so #1
and #3 will not be blocked for ever.
