Johannes Berg acd3c92acc wifi: cfg80211: don't allow multi-BSSID in S1G
In S1G beacon frames there shouldn't be multi-BSSID elements
since that's not supported, remove that to avoid a potential
integer underflow and/or misparsing the frames due to the
different length of the fixed part of the frame.

While at it, initialize non_tx_data so we don't send garbage
values to the user (even if it doesn't seem to matter now.)

Gustavo A. R. Silva 02ae6a7034 wifi: cfg80211: Avoid clashing function prototypes
When built with Control Flow Integrity, function prototypes between
caller and function declaration must match. These mismatches are visible
at compile time with the new -Wcast-function-type-strict in Clang[1].

Fix a total of 73 warnings like these:

drivers/net/wireless/intersil/orinoco/wext.c:1379:27: warning: cast from 'int (*)(struct net_device *, struct iw_request_info *, struct iw_param *, char *)' to 'iw_handler' (aka 'int (*)(struct net_device *, struct iw_request_info *, union iwreq_data *, char *)') converts to incompatible function type [-Wcast-function-type-strict]
        IW_HANDLER(SIOCGIWPOWER,        (iw_handler)orinoco_ioctl_getpower),
                                        ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

../net/wireless/wext-compat.c:1607:33: warning: cast from 'int (*)(struct net_device *, struct iw_request_info *, struct iw_point *, char *)' to 'iw_handler' (aka 'int (*)(struct net_device *, struct iw_request_info *, union iwreq_data *, char *)') converts to incompatible function type [-Wcast-function-type-strict]
        [IW_IOCTL_IDX(SIOCSIWGENIE)]    = (iw_handler) cfg80211_wext_siwgenie,
                                          ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

../drivers/net/wireless/intersil/orinoco/wext.c:1390:27: error: incompatible function pointer types initializing 'const iw_handler' (aka 'int (*const)(struct net_device *, struct iw_request_info *, union iwreq_data *, char *)') with an expression of type 'int (struct net_device *, struct iw_request_info *, struct iw_param *, char *)' [-Wincompatible-function-pointer-types]
        IW_HANDLER(SIOCGIWRETRY,        cfg80211_wext_giwretry),
                                        ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The cfg80211 Wireless Extension handler callbacks (iw_handler) use a
union for the data argument. Actually use the union and perform explicit
member selection in the function body instead of having a function
prototype mismatch. There are no resulting binary differences
before/after changes.

These changes were made partly manually and partly with the help of
Coccinelle.

Greg Kroah-Hartman fa627348cf driver core: class: make namespace and get_ownership take const *
The callbacks in struct class namespace() and get_ownership() do not
modify the struct device passed to them, so mark the pointer as constant
and fix up all callbacks in the kernel to have the correct function
signature.

This helps make it more obvious what calls and callbacks do, and do not,
modify structures passed to them.

Jakub Kicinski 20b0b53aca genetlink: introduce split op representation
We currently have two forms of operations - small ops and "full" ops
(or just ops). The former does not have pointers for some of the less
commonly used features (namely dump start/done and policy).

The "full" ops, however, still don't contain all the necessary
information. In particular the policy is per command ID, while
do and dump often accept different attributes. It's also not
possible to define different pre_doit and post_doit callbacks
for different commands within the family.

At the same time a lot of commands do not support dumping and
therefore all the dump-related information is wasted space.

Create a new command representation which can hold info about
a do implementation or a dump implementation, but not both at
the same time.

Use this new representation on the command execution path
(genl_family_rcv_msg) as we either run a do or a dump and
don't have to create a "full" op there.

When updating beacon elements in a non-transmitted BSS,
also update the hidden sub-entries to the same beacon

The warning is triggered because the beacon elements in

always be the same as in the parent.

Johannes Berg bcca852027 wifi: cfg80211: avoid nontransmitted BSS list corruption
If a non-transmitted BSS shares enough information (both
SSID and BSSID!) with another non-transmitted BSS of a
different AP, then we can find and update it, and then
try to add it to the non-transmitted BSS list. We do a
search for it on the transmitted BSS, but if it's not
there (but belongs to another transmitted BSS), the list
gets corrupted.

Since this is an erroneous situation, simply fail the
list insertion in this case and free the non-transmitted
BSS.

Johannes Berg 0b7808818c wifi: cfg80211: fix BSS refcounting bugs
There are multiple refcounting bugs related to multi-BSSID:
 - In bss_ref_get(), if the BSS has a hidden_beacon_bss, then
   the bss pointer is overwritten before checking for the
   transmitted BSS, which is clearly wrong. Fix this by using
   the bss_from_pub() macro.

 - In cfg80211_bss_update() we copy the transmitted_bss pointer
   from tmp into new, but then if we release new, we'll unref
   it erroneously. We already set the pointer and ref it, but
   need to NULL it since it was copied from the tmp data.

 - In cfg80211_inform_single_bss_data(), if adding to the non-
   transmitted list fails, we unlink the BSS and yet still we
   return it, but this results in returning an entry without
   a reference. We shouldn't return it anyway if it was broken
   enough to not get added there.

This fixes CVE-2022-42720.

Johannes Berg 8f033d2bec wifi: cfg80211/mac80211: reject bad MBSSID elements
Per spec, the maximum value for the MaxBSSID ('n') indicator is 8,
and the minimum is 1 since a multiple BSSID set with just one BSSID
doesn't make sense (the # of BSSIDs is limited by 2^n).

Limit this in the parsing in both cfg80211 and mac80211, rejecting
any elements with an invalid value.

This fixes potentially bad shifts in the processing of these inside
the cfg80211_gen_new_bssid() function later.

I found this during the investigation of CVE-2022-41674 fixed by the
previous patch.

Johannes Berg aebe9f4639 wifi: cfg80211: fix u8 overflow in cfg80211_update_notlisted_nontrans()
In the copy code of the elements, we do the following calculation
to reach the end of the MBSSID element:

	/* copy the IEs after MBSSID */
	cpy_len = mbssid[1] + 2;

This looks fine, however, cpy_len is a u8, the same as mbssid[1],
so the addition of two can overflow. In this case the subsequent
memcpy() will overflow the allocated buffer, since it copies 256
bytes too much due to the way the allocation and memcpy() sizes
are calculated.

Fix this by using size_t for the cpy_len variable.

Wireless events will be sent on the appropriate channels in
wireless_send_event(). Different wireless events may have different
payload structure and size, so kernel uses **len** and **cmd** field
in struct __compat_iw_event as wireless event common LCP part, uses
**pointer** as a label to mark the position of remaining different part.

Yet the problem is that, **pointer** is a compat_caddr_t type, which may
be smaller than the relative structure at the same position. So during
wireless_send_event() tries to parse the wireless events payload, it may
trigger the memcpy() run-time destination buffer bounds checking when the
relative structure's data is copied to the position marked by **pointer**.

This patch solves it by introducing flexible-array field **ptr_bytes**,
to mark the position of the wireless events remaining part next to
LCP part. What's more, this patch also adds **ptr_len** variable in
wireless_send_event() to improve its maintainability.

Veerendranath Jakkam baa56dfe2c wifi: cfg80211: Fix validating BSS pointers in __cfg80211_connect_result
Driver's SME is allowed to fill either BSSID or BSS pointers in struct
cfg80211_connect_resp_params when indicating connect response but a
check in __cfg80211_connect_result() is giving unnecessary warning when
driver's SME fills only BSSID pointer and not BSS pointer in struct
cfg80211_connect_resp_params.

In case of mac80211 with auth/assoc path, it is always expected to fill
BSS pointers in struct cfg80211_connect_resp_params when calling
__cfg80211_connect_result() since cfg80211 must have hold BSS pointers
in cfg80211_mlme_assoc().

Johannes Berg 81151ce462 wifi: mac80211: support MLO authentication/association with one link
It might seem a bit pointless to do a multi-link operation
connection with just a single link, but this is already a
big change, so for now, limit MLO connections to a single
link.

Extending that to multiple links will require
 * work on parsing the multi-link element with STA profile
   properly, including element fragmentation;
 * checking the per-link status in the multi-link element
 * implementing logic to have active/inactive links to let
   drivers decide which links should be active;
 * implementing multicast RX deduplication;
 * and likely more.

For now this is still useful since it lets us do multi-link
connections for the purposes of testing APIs and the higher
layers such as wpa_supplicant.

Aloka Dixit 8bc65d38ee wifi: nl80211: retrieve EHT related elements in AP mode
Add support to retrieve EHT capabilities and EHT operation elements
passed by the userspace in the beacon template and store the pointers
in struct cfg80211_ap_settings to be used by the drivers.

Veerendranath Jakkam ecad3b0b99 wifi: cfg80211: Increase akm_suites array size in cfg80211_crypto_settings
Increase akm_suites array size in struct cfg80211_crypto_settings to 10
and advertise the capability to userspace. This allows userspace to send
more than two AKMs to driver in netlink commands such as
NL80211_CMD_CONNECT.

This capability is needed for implementing WPA3-Personal transition mode
correctly with any driver that handles roaming internally. Currently,
the possible AKMs for multi-AKM connect can include PSK, PSK-SHA-256,
SAE, FT-PSK and FT-SAE. Since the count is already 5, increasing
the akm_suites array size to 10 should be reasonable for future
usecases.

Johannes Berg d6f671c8a3 wifi: cfg80211: remove chandef check in cfg80211_cac_event()
The current check only worked for AP mode, but we can do
radar detection in mesh as well (for example). We could
try to check this using wdev_chandef(), but we also don't
really care since the chandef is passed in and we have no
need to use it anymore (since we added the argument in
commit d2859df5e7 ("cfg80211/mac80211: DFS setup chandef
for cac event")).

Johannes Berg 31177127e0 wifi: nl80211: relax wdev mutex check in wdev_chandef()
In many cases we might get here from driver code that's
not really set up to care about the locking, and for the
non-MLO cases we really don't care so much about it. So
relax the checking here for now, perhaps we should even
remove it completely since we might not really care if
we point to an invalid link's chandef and can require
the caller to check the link validity first.

Johannes Berg c2653990d5 wifi: nl80211: acquire wdev mutex earlier in start_ap
We need to hold the wdev mutex already in order to call
nl80211_parse_tx_bitrate_mask(), so acquire it earlier.

Johannes Berg 206bbcf761 wifi: nl80211: hold wdev mutex for tid config
We need wdev_chandef() in this code, which now requires
the wdev mutex due to the per-link nature. Hold it here
to make sure we can access the link.
