Sergio Paracuellos 48df7a26f4 clk: ralink: add clock driver for mt7621 SoC
The documentation for this SOC only talks about two
registers regarding to the clocks:
* SYSC_REG_CPLL_CLKCFG0 - provides some information about
boostrapped refclock. PLL and dividers used for CPU and some
sort of BUS.
* SYSC_REG_CPLL_CLKCFG1 - a banch of gates to enable/disable
clocks for all or some ip cores.

Looking into driver code, and some openWRT patched there are
another frequencies which are used in some drivers (uart, sd...).
According to all of this information the clock plan for this
SoC is set as follows:
- Main top clock "xtal" from where all the rest of the world is
derived.
- CPU clock "cpu" derived from "xtal" frequencies and a bunch of
register reads and predividers.
- BUS clock "bus" derived from "cpu" and with (cpu / 4) MHz.
- Fixed clocks from "xtal":
    * "50m": 50 MHz.
    * "125m": 125 MHz.
    * "150m": 150 MHz.
    * "250m": 250 MHz.
    * "270m": 270 MHz.

We also have a buch of gate clocks with their parents:
  * "hsdma": "150m"
  * "fe": "250m"
  * "sp_divtx": "270m"
  * "timer": "50m"
  * "pcm": "270m"
  * "pio": "50m"
  * "gdma": "bus"
  * "nand": "125m"
  * "i2c": "50m"
  * "i2s": "270m"
  * "spi": "bus"
  * "uart1": "50m"
  * "uart2": "50m"
  * "uart3": "50m"
  * "eth": "50m"
  * "pcie0": "125m"
  * "pcie1": "125m"
  * "pcie2": "125m"
  * "crypto": "250m"
  * "shxc": "50m"

With this information the clk driver will provide clock and gates
functionality from a a set of hardcoded clocks allowing to define
a nice device tree without fixed clocks.

Krzysztof Kozlowski 3b218baa74 clk: socfpga: allow building N5X clocks with ARCH_N5X
The Intel's eASIC N5X (ARCH_N5X) architecture shares a lot with Agilex
(ARCH_AGILEX) so it uses the same socfpga_agilex.dtsi, with minor
changes. Also the clock drivers are the same.

However the clock drivers won't be build without ARCH_AGILEX. One could
assume that ARCH_N5X simply depends on ARCH_AGILEX but this was not
modeled in Kconfig. In current stage the ARCH_N5X is simply
unbootable.

Add a separate Kconfig entry for clocks used by both ARCH_N5X and
ARCH_AGILEX so the necessary objects will be built if either of them is
selected.

Linus Torvalds 8b83369ddc RISC-V Patches for the 5.12 Merge Window
I have a handful of new RISC-V related patches for this merge window:

 * A check to ensure drivers are properly using uaccess. This isn't
   manifesting with any of the drivers I'm currently using, but may catch
   errors in new drivers.
 * Some preliminary support for the FU740, along with the HiFive
   Unleashed it will appear on.
 * NUMA support for RISC-V, which involves making the arm64 code generic.
 * Support for kasan on the vmalloc region.
 * A handful of new drivers for the Kendryte K210, along with the DT
   plumbing required to boot on a handful of K210-based boards.
 * Support for allocating ASIDs.
 * Preliminary support for kernels larger than 128MiB.
 * Various other improvements to our KASAN support, including the
   utilization of huge pages when allocating the KASAN regions.

 We may have already found a bug with the KASAN_VMALLOC code, but it's
 passing my tests. There's a fix in the works, but that will probably
 miss the merge window.

clk: Add RISC-V Canaan Kendryte K210 clock driver
Add a clock provider driver for the Canaan Kendryte K210 RISC-V SoC.
This new driver with the compatible string "canaan,k210-clk" implements
support for the full clock structure of the K210 SoC. Since it is
required for the correct operation of the SoC, this driver is
selected by default for compilation when the SOC_CANAAN option is
selected.

With this change, the k210-sysctl driver is turned into a simple
platform driver which enables its power bus clock and triggers
populating its child nodes. The sysctl driver retains the SOC early
initialization code, but the implementation now relies on the new
function k210_clk_early_init() provided by the new clk-k210 driver.

The clock structure implemented and many of the coding ideas for the
driver come from the work by Sean Anderson on the K210 support for the
U-Boot project.

Daniel Palmer bef7a78da7 clk: mstar: MStar/SigmaStar MPLL driver
This adds a basic driver for the MPLL block found in MStar/SigmaStar
ARMv7 SoCs.

Currently this driver is only good for calculating the rates of it's
outputs and the actual configuration must be done before the kernel
boots. Usually this is done even before u-boot starts.

This driver targets the MPLL block found in the MSC313/MSC313E but
there is no documentation this chip so the register descriptions for
the another MStar chip the MST786 were used as they seem to match.

The xlnx_vcu driver is actually a clock controller driver which provides

is no reason to keep this driver in soc. Move the driver to clk.

NOTE: The register mapping actually contains registers for AXI
performance monitoring, but these are not used by the driver.

Alexandru Ardelean 324a810583 clk: axi-clkgen: replace ARCH dependencies with driver deps
The intent is to be able to run this driver to access the IP core in setups
where FPGA board is also connected via a PCIe bus. In such cases the number
of combinations explodes, where the host system can be an x86 with Xilinx
Zynq/ZynqMP/Microblaze board connected via PCIe.
Or even a ZynqMP board with a ZynqMP/Zynq/Microblaze connected via PCIe.

To accommodate for these cases, this change removes the limitation for this
driver to be compilable only on Zynq/Microblaze architectures.
And adds dependencies on the mechanisms required by the driver to work (OF
and HAS_IOMEM).

This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines,
I also fixed the indentation.

There are a variety of indentation styles found.

  a) 4 spaces + '---help---'
  b) 7 spaces + '---help---'
  c) 8 spaces + '---help---'
  d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---'
  e) 1 tab + '---help---'    (correct indentation)
  f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---'
  g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---'

In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the
following commend:

  $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/'

Serge Semin b7d950b928 clk: Add Baikal-T1 CCU PLLs driver
Baikal-T1 is supposed to be supplied with a high-frequency external
oscillator. But in order to create signals suitable for each IP-block
embedded into the SoC the oscillator output is primarily connected to
a set of CCU PLLs. There are five of them to create clocks for the MIPS
P5600 cores, an embedded DDR controller, SATA, Ethernet and PCIe domains.
The last three domains though named by the biggest system interfaces in
fact include nearly all of the rest SoC peripherals. Each of the PLLs is
based on True Circuits TSMC CLN28HPM IP-core with an interface wrapper
(so called safe PLL' clocks switcher) to simplify the PLL configuration
procedure.

This driver creates the of-based hardware clocks to use them then in
the corresponding subsystems. In order to simplify the driver code we
split the functionality up into the PLLs clocks operations and hardware
clocks declaration/registration procedures.

Even though the PLLs are based on the same IP-core, they may have some
differences. In particular, some CCU PLLs support the output clock change
without gating them (like CPU or PCIe PLLs), while the others don't, some
CCU PLLs are critical and aren't supposed to be gated. In order to cover
all of these cases the hardware clocks driver is designed with an
info-descriptor pattern. So there are special static descriptors declared
for each PLL, which is then used to create a hardware clock with proper
operations. Additionally debugfs-files are provided for each PLL' field
to make sure the implemented rate-PLLs-dividers calculation algorithm is
correct.

Stephen Boyd bc8c945e0a clk: Move HAVE_CLK config out of architecture layer
The implementation of 'struct clk' is not really an architectual detail

Stephen Boyd bbd7ffdbef clk: Allow the common clk framework to be selectable
Enable build testing and configuration control of the common clk
framework so that more code coverage and testing can be done on the
common clk framework across various architectures. This also nicely
removes the requirement that architectures must select the framework
when they don't use it in architecture code.

There's one snag with doing this, and that's making sure that randconfig
builds don't select this option when some architecture or platform
implements 'struct clk' outside of the common clk framework. Introduce a
new config option 'HAVE_LEGACY_CLK' to indicate those platforms that
haven't migrated to the common clk framework and therefore shouldn't be
allowed to select this new config option. Also add a note that we hope
one day to remove this config entirely.

 data, and convert various drivers to clk_hw based APIs.

 In the core, we allow clk_ops::init() to return an error code now so that we

Michael Walle 9cd1020522 clk: fsl-sai: new driver
With this driver it is possible to use the BCLK pin of the SAI module as
a generic clock output. This is esp. useful if you want to drive a clock
to an audio codec. Because the output only allows integer divider values
the audio codec needs an integrated PLL.

Linus Torvalds 916f562fb2 This round of clk driver and framework updates is heavy on the driver update
side. The two main highlights in the core framework are the addition of an bulk
 clk_get API that handles optional clks and an extra debugfs file that tells the
 developer about the current parent of a clk.

 The driver updates are dominated by i.MX in the diffstat, but that is mostly
 because that SoC has started converting to the clk_hw style of clk
 registration. The next big update is in the Amlogic meson clk driver that
 gained some support for audio, cpu, and temperature clks while fixing some PLL
 issues. Finally, the biggest thing that stands out is the conversion of a large
 part of the Allwinner sunxi-ng driver to the new clk parent scheme that uses
 less strings and more pointer comparisons to match clk parents and children up.

 In general, it looks like we have a lot of little fixes and tweaks here and
 there to clk data along with the normal addition of a handful of new drivers
 and a couple new core framework features.

 Core:
  - Add a 'clk_parent' file in clk debugfs
  - Add a clk_bulk_get_optional() API (with devm too)

 New Drivers:
  - Support gated clk controller on MIPS based BCM63XX SoCs
  - Support SiLabs Si5341 and Si5340 chips
  - Support for CPU clks on Raspberry Pi devices
  - Audsys clock driver for MediaTek MT8516 SoCs

 Updates:
  - Convert a large portion of the Allwinner sunxi-ng driver to new clk parent scheme
  - Small frequency support for SiLabs Si544 chips
  - Slow clk support for AT91 SAM9X60 SoCs
  - Remove dead code in various clk drivers (-Wunused)
  - Support for Marvell 98DX1135 SoCs
  - Get duty cycle of generic pwm clks
  - Improvement in mmc phase calculation and cleanup of some rate defintions
  - Switch i.MX6 and i.MX7 clock drivers to clk_hw based APIs
  - Add GPIO, SNVS and GIC clocks for i.MX8 drivers
  - Mark imx6sx/ul/ull/sll MMDC_P1_IPG and imx8mm DRAM_APB as critical clock
  - Correct imx7ulp nic1_bus_clk and imx8mm audio_pll2_clk clock setting
  - Add clks for new Exynos5422 Dynamic Memory Controller driver
  - Clock definition for Exynos4412 Mali
  - Add CMM (Color Management Module) clocks on Renesas R-Car H3, M3-N, E3, and D3
  - Add TPU (Timer Pulse Unit / PWM) clocks on Renesas RZ/G2M
  - Support for 32 bit clock IDs in TI's sci-clks for J721e SoCs
  - TI clock probing done from DT by default instead of firmware
  - Fix Amlogic Meson mpll fractional part and spread sprectrum issues
  - Add Amlogic meson8 audio clocks

Mike Looijmans 3044a860fd clk: Add Si5341/Si5340 driver
Adds a driver for the Si5341 and Si5340 chips. The driver does not fully
support all features of these chips, but allows the chip to be used
without any support from the "clockbuilder pro" software.

If the chip is preprogrammed, that is, you bought one with some defaults
burned in, or you programmed the NVM in some way, the driver will just
take over the current settings and only change them on demand. Otherwise
the input must be a fixed XTAL in its most basic configuration (no
predividers, no feedback, etc.).

The driver supports dynamic changes of multisynth, output dividers and
enabling or powering down outputs and multisynths.

Charles Keepax 76c547830b clk: lochnagar: Add support for the Cirrus Logic Lochnagar
Lochnagar is an evaluation and development board for Cirrus
Logic Smart CODEC and Amp devices. It allows the connection of
most Cirrus Logic devices on mini-cards, as well as allowing
connection of various application processor systems to provide a
full evaluation platform. This driver supports the board
controller chip on the Lochnagar board.

The Lochnagar can take several input clocks from the host system,
provides several of its own clock sources, and provides extensive
routing options for those clocks to be supplied to the attached
CODEC/Amp device.

clk: sunxi: Add Kconfig options
We used to have a clock framework that isn't really used these days, except
for a few clocks and/or SoCs. Most of the time, the new framework and
drivers (sunxi-ng) will provide everything needed for the customer devices
to operate properly.

Since we're not needing it that much, it might make sense to disable those
drivers, for example when we want to reduce the kernel size. Let's add
options in Kconfig that can be disabled if needed, but are still on by
default to keep the same features in the standard case.

Daniel Mack 33f5104624 clk: Add driver for MAX9485
This patch adds a driver for MAX9485, a programmable audio clock generator.

The device requires a 27.000 MHz clock input. It can provide a gated
buffered output of its input clock and two gated outputs of a PLL that can
generate one out of 16 discrete frequencies. There is only one PLL however,
so the two gated outputs will always have the same frequency but they can
be switched individually.

The driver for this device exposes 4 clocks in total:

- MAX9485_MCLKOUT: A gated, buffered output of the input clock
- MAX9485_CLKOUT: A PLL that can be configured to 16 different
			discrete frequencies
- MAX9485_CLKOUT[1,2]:  Two gated outputs for MAX9485_CLKOUT

Some PLL output frequencies can be achieved with different register
settings. The driver will select the one with lowest jitter in such cases.

Linus Torvalds 6419945e33 This time we have a good set of changes to the core framework that do some
general cleanups, but nothing too major. The majority of the diff goes to
 two SoCs, Actions Semi and Qualcomm. A brand new driver is introduced for
 Actions Semi so it takes up some lines to add all the different types, and
 the Qualcomm diff is there because we add support for two SoCs and it's quite
 a bit of data.

 Otherwise the big driver updates are on TI Davinci and Amlogic platforms. And
 then the long tail of driver updates for various fixes and stuff follows
 after that.

 Core:
  - debugfs cleanups removing error checking and an unused provider API
  - Removal of a clk init typedef that isn't used
  - Usage of match_string() to simplify parent string name matching
  - OF clk helpers moved to their own file (linux/of_clk.h)
  - Make clk warnings more readable across kernel versions

 New Drivers:
  - Qualcomm SDM845 GCC and Video clk controllers
  - Qualcomm MSM8998 GCC
  - Actions Semi S900 SoC support
  - Nuvoton npcm750 microcontroller clks
  - Amlogic axg AO clock controller

 Removed Drivers:
  - Deprecated Rockchip clk-gate driver

 Updates:
  - debugfs functions stopped checking return values
  - Support for the MSIOF module clocks on Rensas R-Car M3-N
  - Support for the new Rensas RZ/G1C and R-Car E3 SoCs
  - Qualcomm GDSC, RCG, and PLL updates for clk changes in new SoCs
  - Berlin and Amlogic SPDX tagging
  - Usage of of_clk_get_parent_count() in more places
  - Proper implementation of the CDEV1/2 clocks on Tegra20
  - Allwinner H6 PRCM clock support and R40 EMAC support
  - Add critical flag to meson8b's fdiv2 as temporary fixup for ethernet
  - Round closest support for meson's mpll driver
  - Support for meson8b nand clocks and gxbb video decoder clocks
  - Mediatek mali clks
  - STM32MP1 fixes

Eugeniy Paltsev daeeb438c0 ARC: clk: introduce HSDK pll driver
HSDK board manages its clocks using various PLLs. These PLL have same
dividers and corresponding control registers mapped to different addresses.
So we add one common driver for such PLLs.

Each PLL on HSDK board consists of three dividers: IDIV, FBDIV and
ODIV. Output clock value is managed using these dividers.

We add pre-defined tables with supported rate values and appropriate
configurations of IDIV, FBDIV and ODIV for each value.

As of today we add support for PLLs that generate clock for the
HSDK arc cpus, system, ddr, AXI tunnel and hdmi.

By this patch we add support for several plls (arc cpus pll and others),
so we had to use two different init types: CLK_OF_DECLARE for arc cpus pll
and regular probing for others plls.

Marek Vasut 3e1aec4e2c clk: vc5: Add support for IDT VersaClock 5P49V5923 and 5P49V5933
Add driver for IDT VersaClock 5 5P49V5923 and 5P49V5933 chips. These
chips have two clock inputs, XTAL or CLK, which are muxed into single
PLL/VCO input. In case of 5P49V5923, the XTAL in built into the chip
while the 5P49V5923 requires external XTAL.

The PLL feeds two fractional dividers. Each fractional divider feeds
output mux, which allows selecting between clock from the fractional
divider itself or from output mux on output N-1. In case of output
mux 0, the output N-1 is instead connected to the output from the mux
feeding the PLL.

The driver thus far supports only the 5P49V5923 and 5P49V5933, while
it should be easily extensible to the whole 5P49V59xx family of chips
as they are all pretty similar.

    their prepare/enable count drops to 0 (and in turn the parents of
    these clks should stay enabled).

  - A clk registration API has been added, clk_hw_register(), and
    an OF clk provider API has been added, of_clk_add_hw_provider().
    These APIs have been put in place to further split clk providers
    from clk consumers, with the goal being to have clk providers
    never deal with struct clk pointers at all. Conversion of provider
    drivers is on going. clkdev has also gained support for registering
    clk_hw pointers directly so we can convert drivers that don't use
    devicetree.

 New Drivers:

  - Marvell ap806 and cp110 system controllers (with clks inside!)
  - Hisilicon Hi3519 clock and reset controller
  - Axis ARTPEC-6 clock controllers
  - Oxford Semiconductor OXNAS clock controllers
  - AXS10X I2S PLL
  - Rockchip RK3399 clock and reset controller

 Updates:

  - MMC2 and UART2 clks on Samsung Exynos 3250, ACLK on Samsung Exynos 542x
