The irqchip->irq_set_type method is called by __irq_set_trigger() under
the desc->lock raw spinlock.
The ls-extirq implementation, ls_extirq_irq_set_type(), uses an MMIO
regmap created by of_syscon_register(), which uses plain spinlocks
(the kind that are sleepable on RT).
Therefore, this is an invalid locking scheme for which we get a kernel
splat stating just that ("[ BUG: Invalid wait context ]"), because the
context in which the plain spinlock may sleep is atomic due to the raw
spinlock. We need to go raw spinlocks all the way.
Make this driver ioremap its INTPCR register on its own, and stop
relying on syscon to provide a regmap.

The MU block found in a number of Freescale/NXP SoCs supports generating
IRQs by writing data to a register.
This enables the MU block to be used as a MSI controller, by leveraging

The interrupt-map property for "realtek,rtl-intc" has been deprecated in
favor of a list of parent interrupts. Drop the open-coded parser for
interrupt-map, and use the first parent interrupt instead. If no parent
was provided, the driver will assume that this is the first hardware
interrupt of the SoC's MIPS CPU for compatibility with the legacy binding.
All SoC interrupts were treated equally, independent of which output
they were actually routed to. This means the driver might as well route
all interrupts to the first output, and achieve the same behaviour.
Without the interrupt-map property, interrupt usage information is no
longer available at initialisation. Routing setup will now happen later,
when a hardware interrupt is mapped by the subsystem.

Pure ACPI systems (e.g., LoongArch) do not need OF_IRQ, but still

LoongArch irqchips have a fixed hierarchy which currently can't be
described by ACPI tables, so upstream irqchip drivers call downstream
irqchip drivers' initialization directly. As a result, the top level
(CPU-level) irqchip driver should explicitly select downstream drivers
to avoid build errors.

The recently merged LoongArch drivers paper over the lack of
topology information by creating a bunch of fwnodes for the
irqchips. So far, so good.
However, irq_domain_alloc_fwnode() is supposed to take a PA, and
not a kernel VA blindly cast as a PA, potentially disclosing
kernel VAs to userspace. In some other cases, even NULL is used
as the PA, which is entertaining.
Fix this by using the actual PA of the block when available,
and switch to a named fwnode in the other cases.

This adds initial support for two SoC families that have been under
review for a while. In both cases, the origonal idea was to have a
minimally functional version, but we ended up leaving out the clk drivers
that are still under review and will be merged through the corresponding
subsystem tree.
The Nuvoton NPCM8xx is a 64-bit Baseboard Management Controller and

For LoongArch, ACPI_IRQ_MODEL_LPIC is introduced, and then the
callback acpi_get_gsi_domain_id and acpi_gsi_to_irq_fallback are
implemented.
The acpi_get_gsi_domain_id callback returns related fwnode handle
of irqdomain for different GSI range.
The acpi_gsi_to_irq_fallback will create new mapping for gsi when
the mapping of it is not found.

LoongArch CPUINTC has 13 interrupt sources: SWI0~1, HWI0~7, IPI, TI
(Timer) and PCOV (PMC). IRQ mappings of HWI0~7 are configurable (can be
created from DT/ACPI), but IPI, TI (Timer) and PCOV (PMC) are hardcoded
bits, so we expose the fwnode_handle to map them, and get mapped irq
by irq_create_mapping when using them.

In an unfortunate departure from the ACPI spec, the LoongArch
architecture split its GSI space across multiple interrupt
controllers.
In order to be able to reuse the core code and prevent
architectures from reinventing an already square wheel, offer
the arch code the ability to register a dispatcher function
that will return the domain fwnode for a given GSI.
The ARM GIC drivers are updated to support this (with a single
domain, as intended).

The PLIC has two per-IRQ checks before sending an IRQ to a hart context.
First, it checks that the IRQ's priority is nonzero. Then, it checks
that the enable bit is set for that combination of IRQ and context.
Currently, the PLIC driver sets both the priority value and the enable
bit in its (un)mask operations. However, modifying the enable bit is
problematic for two reasons:
1) The enable bits are packed, so changes are not atomic and require
taking a spinlock.
2) The following requirement from the PLIC spec, which explains the
racy (un)mask operations in plic_irq_eoi():
If the completion ID does not match an interrupt source
that is currently enabled for the target, the completion
is silently ignored.
Both of these problems are solved by using the priority value to mask
IRQs. Each IRQ has a separate priority register, so writing the priority
value is atomic. And since the enable bit remains set while an IRQ is
masked, the EOI operation works normally. The enable bits are still used
to control the IRQ's affinity.

The PLIC driver already updates the effective affinity mask in its
.irq_set_affinity callback. Take advantage of that information to only
touch bits (and take spinlocks) for the specific relevant hart contexts.
First, make sure the effective affinity mask is set before IRQ startup.
Then, since this mask already takes priv->lmask into account, checking
that mask later is no longer needed (and handler->present is equivalent
to the bit being set in priv->lmask).
Finally, when (un)masking or changing affinity, only clear/set the
enable bits in the specific old/new context(s). The cpumask operations
in plic_irq_unmask() are not needed because they duplicate the code in
plic_set_affinity().

Some architectures and irqchip drivers modify the cpumask returned by
irq_data_get_affinity_mask, usually by copying in to it. This is
problematic for uniprocessor configurations, where the affinity mask
should be constant, as it is known at compile time.
Add and use a setter for the affinity mask, following the pattern of
irq_data_update_effective_affinity. This allows the getter function to
return a const cpumask pointer.

The T-HEAD PLIC ignores additional edges seen while an edge-triggered
interrupt is being handled. Because of this behavior, the driver needs
to complete edge-triggered interrupts in the .irq_ack callback before
handling them, instead of in the .irq_eoi callback afterward. Otherwise,
it could miss some interrupts.

The Renesas RZ/Five SoC has a RISC-V AX45MP AndesCore with NCEPLIC100. The
NCEPLIC100 supports both edge-triggered and level-triggered interrupts. In
case of edge-triggered interrupts NCEPLIC100 ignores the next interrupt
edge until the previous completion message has been received and
NCEPLIC100 doesn't support pending interrupt counter, hence losing the
interrupts if not acknowledged in time.
So the workaround for edge-triggered interrupts to be handled correctly
and without losing is that it needs to be acknowledged first and then
handler must be run so that we don't miss on the next edge-triggered
interrupt.
This patch adds a new compatible string for NCEPLIC100 (from Andes
Technology) interrupt controller found on Renesas RZ/Five SoC and adds
quirk bits to priv structure and implements PLIC_QUIRK_EDGE_INTERRUPT
quirk to change the interrupt flow.

The mask_ack operation clears the interrupt by writing to the PICSR
register. This we don't want for level triggered interrupt because
it does not actually clear the interrupt on the source hardware.
This was causing issues in qemu with multi core setups where
interrupts would continue to fire even though they had been cleared in
PICSR.

The asm-generic tree contains three separate changes for linux-5.19:
- The h8300 architecture is retired after it has been effectively
unmaintained for a number of years. This is the last architecture we
supported that has no MMU implementation, but there are still a few
architectures (arm, m68k, riscv, sh and xtensa) that support CPUs with
and without an MMU.

When a kernel is built with CONFIG_ARM64_PSEUDO_NMI=y and pseudo-NMIs
are enabled at runtime, GICv3's gic_handle_irq() can leave DAIF and
ICC_PMR_EL1 in an unexpected state in some cases, breaking subsequent
usage of local_irq_enable() and resulting in softirqs being run with
IRQs erroneously masked (possibly resulting in deadlocks).
This can happen when an IRQ exception is taken from a context where
regular IRQs were unmasked, and either:
(1) ICC_IAR1_EL1 indicates a special INTID (e.g. as a result of an IRQ
being withdrawn since the IRQ exception was taken).
(2) ICC_IAR1_EL1 and ICC_RPR_EL1 indicate an NMI was acknowledged.
When an NMI is taken from a context where regular IRQs were masked,
there is no problem.
When CONFIG_ARM64_DEBUG_PRIORITY_MASKING=y, this can be detected with
perf, e.g.

The necessary manipulation of DAIF and ICC_PMR_EL1 depends on the
interrupted context, but the structure of gic_handle_irq() makes this
also depend on whether the GIC reports an IRQ, NMI, or special INTID:
* When the interrupted context had regular IRQs masked (and hence the
interrupt must be an NMI), the entry code performs the NMI
entry/exit and gic_handle_irq() should return with DAIF and
ICC_PMR_EL1 unchanged.
This is handled correctly today.
* When the interrupted context had regular IRQs unmasked, the entry code
performs IRQ entry/exit, but expects gic_handle_irq() to always update
ICC_PMR_EL1 and DAIF.IF to unmask NMIs (but not regular IRQs) prior to
returning (which it must do prior to invoking any regular IRQ
handler).
This unbalanced calling convention is necessary because we don't know
whether an NMI has been taken until acknowledged by a read from
ICC_IAR1_EL1, and so we need to perform the read with NMI masked in
case an NMI has been taken (and needs to be handled with NMIs masked).
Unfortunately, this is not handled consistently:
- When ICC_IAR1_EL1 reports a special INTID, gic_handle_irq() returns
immediately without manipulating ICC_PMR_EL1 and DAIF.
- When RPR_EL1 indicates an NMI, gic_handle_irq() calls
gic_handle_nmi() to invoke the NMI handler, then returns without
manipulating ICC_PMR_EL1 and DAIF.
- For regular IRQs, gic_handle_irq() manipulates ICC_PMR_EL1 and DAIF
prior to invoking the IRQ handler.
There were related problems with special INTID handling in the past,
where if an exception was taken from a context with regular IRQs masked
and ICC_IAR_EL1 reported a special INTID, gic_handle_irq() would
erroneously unmask NMIs in NMI context permitted an unexpected nested
NMI. That case specifically was fixed by commit:
a97709f563 ("irqchip/gic-v3: Do not enable irqs when handling spurious interrups")
... but unfortunately that commit added an inverse problem, where if an
exception was taken from a context with regular IRQs *unmasked* and
ICC_IAR_EL1 reported a special INTID, gic_handle_irq() would erroneously
fail to unmask NMIs (and consequently regular IRQs could not be
unmasked during softirq processing). Before and after that commit, if an
NMI was taken from a context with regular IRQs unmasked gic_handle_irq()
would not unmask NMIs prior to returning, leading to the same problem
with softirq handling.
This patch fixes this by restructuring gic_handle_irq(), splitting it
into separate irqson/irqsoff helper functions which consistently perform
the DAIF + ICC_PMR1_EL1 manipulation based upon the interrupted context,
regardless of the event indicated by ICC_IAR1_EL1.
The special INTID handling is moved into the low-level IRQ/NMI handler
invocation helper functions, so that early returns don't prevent the
required manipulation of DAIF + ICC_PMR_EL1.

There are cases where a context synchronization event is necessary
between an IRQ being raised and being handled, and there are races such
that we cannot rely upon the exception entry being subsequent to the
interrupt being raised. To fix this, we place an ISB between a read of
IAR and the subsequent invocation of an IRQ handler.
When EOI mode 1 is in use, we need to EOI an interrupt prior to invoking
its handler, and we have a write to EOIR for this. As this write to EOIR
requires an ISB, and this is provided by the gic_write_eoir() helper, we
omit the usual ISB in this case, with the logic being:
| if (static_branch_likely(&supports_deactivate_key))
| gic_write_eoir(irqnr);
| else
| isb();
This is somewhat opaque, and it would be a little clearer if there were
an unconditional ISB, with only the write to EOIR being conditional,
e.g.
| if (static_branch_likely(&supports_deactivate_key))
| write_gicreg(irqnr, ICC_EOIR1_EL1);
|
| isb();
This patch rewrites the code that way, with this logic factored into a
new helper function with comments explaining what the ISB is for, as
were originally laid out in commit:
39a06b67c2 ("irqchip/gic: Ensure we have an ISB between ack and ->handle_irq")
Note that since then, we removed the IAR polling in commit:
342677d70a ("irqchip/gic-v3: Remove acknowledge loop")
... which removed one of the two race conditions.
For consistency, other portions of the driver are made to manipulate
EOIR using write_gicreg() and explcit ISBs, and the gic_write_eoir()
helper function is removed.
There should be no functional change as a result of this patch.

We identified and fixes this for regular IRQs in commit:
39a06b67c2 ("irqchip/gic: Ensure we have an ISB between ack and ->handle_irq")
Unfortunately, we forgot to do the same for psuedo-NMIs when support for
those was added in commit:
f32c926651 ("irqchip/gic-v3: Handle pseudo-NMIs")
Which means that when pseudo-NMIs are used for PMU support, we'll hit
the same problem.
Apply the same fix as for regular IRQs. Note that when EOI mode 1 is in
use, the call to gic_write_eoir() will provide an ISB.

With multiple devices attached via PCIe to an Armada 385 it is possible
to overwhelm a single CPU with MSI interrupts. Under certain scenarios
configuring the interrupts to be handled by more than one CPU would
prevent the system from being overwhelmed. However the
irqchip-aramada-370-xp driver is configured to only handle MSIs on the
boot CPU, and provides no affinity configuration.
This change adds support to the armada-370-xp driver to allow for
configuring the affinity of specific MSI irqs and to generate the
interrupts on secondary CPUs. This is done by enabling the private
doorbell for all online CPUs and configures all CPUs to unmask MSI
specific private doorbell bits. The CPU affinity selection of the
interrupt is handled by the target list of the software triggered
interrupt value, which is provided as the MSI message. The message has
the associated CPU bit set for the target CPU. For private doorbell
interrupts only one bit can be set otherwise all CPUs will receive the
interrupt, so the lowest CPU in the affinity mask is used. This means
that by default the first CPU will handle all the interrupts as was the
case before.

Currently the EXIU uses the fasteoi interrupt flow that is configured by
it's parent (irq-gic-v3.c). With this flow the only chance to clear the
interrupt request happens during .irq_eoi() and (obviously) this happens
after the interrupt handler has run. EXIU requires edge triggered
interrupts to be acked prior to interrupt handling. Without this we
risk incorrect interrupt dismissal when a new interrupt is delivered
after the handler reads and acknowledges the peripheral but before the
irq_eoi() takes place.
Fix this by clearing the interrupt request from .irq_ack() if we are
configured for edge triggered interrupts. This requires adopting the
fasteoi-ack flow instead of the fasteoi to ensure the ack gets called.
These changes have been tested using the power button on a
Developerbox/SC2A11 combined with some hackery in gpio-keys so I can
play with the different trigger mode [and an mdelay(500) so I can
can check what happens on a double click in both modes].

Recent work on the KVM GIC emulation has revealed that the GICv3
driver is a bit RWP-happy, as it polls this bit for each and
every write MMIO access involving a single interrupt.
As it turns out, polling RWP is only required when:
- Disabling an SGI, PPI or SPI
- Disabling LPIs at the redistributor level
- Disabling groups
- Enabling ARE
- Dealing with DPG*
Simplify the driver by removing all the other instances of RWP
polling, and add the one that was missing when enabling the distributor
(as that's where we set ARE).

Since GICv4.1, an implementation can offer the same MMIO-based
implementation as DirectLPI, only with an ITS. Given that this
can be hugely beneficial for workloads that are very LPI masking
heavy (although these workloads are admitedly a bit odd).
Interestingly, this is independent of RVPEI, which only *implies*
the functionnality.
So let's detect whether the implementation has GICR_CTLR.IR set,
and propagate this as DirectLPI to the ITS driver.

bcm6345_l1_of_init() calls cpumask_weight() to check if any bit of a given
cpumask is set.
This can be done more efficiently with cpumask_empty() because
cpumask_empty() stops traversing the cpumask as soon as it finds first set
bit, while cpumask_weight() counts all bits unconditionally.

At the moment the GIC IRQ domain translation routine happily converts
ACPI table GSI numbers below 16 to GIC SGIs (Software Generated
Interrupts aka IPIs). On the Devicetree side we explicitly forbid this
translation, actually the function will never return HWIRQs below 16 when
using a DT based domain translation.
We expect SGIs to be handled in the first part of the function, and any
further occurrence should be treated as a firmware bug, so add a check
and print to report this explicitly and avoid lengthy debug sessions.

It turns out that our polling of RWP is totally wrong when checking
for it in the redistributors, as we test the *distributor* bit index,
whereas it is a different bit number in the RDs... Oopsie boo.

The way KVM drives GICv4.{0,1} is as follows:
- vcpu_load() makes the VPE resident, instructing the RD to start
scanning for interrupts
- just before entering the guest, we check that the RD has finished
scanning and that we can start running the vcpu
- on preemption, we deschedule the VPE by making it invalid on
the RD
However, we are preemptible between the first two steps. If it so
happens *and* that the RD was still scanning, we nonetheless write
to the GICR_VPENDBASER register while Dirty is set, and bad things
happen (we're in UNPRED land).
This affects both the 4.0 and 4.1 implementations.
Make sure Dirty is cleared before performing the deschedule,
meaning that its_clear_vpend_valid() becomes a sort of full VPE
residency barrier.

* 'remove-h8300' of git://git.infradead.org/users/hch/misc:
remove the h8300 architecture
This is clearly the least actively maintained architecture we have at
the moment, and probably the least useful. It is now the only one that
does not support MMUs at all, and most of the boards only support 4MB
of RAM, out of which the defconfig kernel needs more than half just
for .text/.data.
Guenter Roeck did the original patch to remove the architecture in 2013
after it had already been obsolete for a while, and Yoshinori Sato brought
it back in a much more modern form in 2015. Looking at the git history
since the reinstantiation, it's clear that almost all commits in the tree
are build fixes or cross-architecture cleanups:

There are three sets of updates for 5.18 in the asm-generic tree:
- The set_fs()/get_fs() infrastructure gets removed for good. This
was already gone from all major architectures, but now we can
finally remove it everywhere, which loses some particularly
tricky and error-prone code.
There is a small merge conflict against a parisc cleanup, the
solution is to use their new version.
- The nds32 architecture ends its tenure in the Linux kernel. The
hardware is still used and the code is in reasonable shape, but
the mainline port is not actively maintained any more, as all
remaining users are thought to run vendor kernels that would never
be updated to a future release.
There are some obvious conflicts against changes to the removed

- vmap'ed stacks support for v7 SMP systems[1],
- extending support for both IRQ stacks and vmap'ed stacks for all
remaining configurations, including v6/v7 SMP multiplatform kernels
and uniprocessor configurations including v7-M [2]

The removal of the old-style irq entry broke obscure NOMMU
configurations on machines that have an MMU:
ld.lld: error: undefined symbol: generic_handle_arch_irq
referenced by kernel/entry-armv.o:(__irq_svc) in archive arch/arm/built-in.a
A follow-up patch to convert nvic to the generic_handle_arch_irq()
could have fixed this by removing the Kconfig conditional, but did
it differently.
Change the Kconfig logic so ARM machines now unconditionally
enable the feature.
I have also submitted a patch to remove support for the configurations
that broke, but fixing the regression first is a trivial and correct
change.

Qualcomm SoCs based on the RPM architecture have a MSM Power Manager (MPM)
in always-on domain. In addition to managing resources during sleep, the
hardware also has an interrupt controller that monitors the interrupts
when the system is asleep, wakes up the APSS when one of these interrupts
occur and replays it to GIC after it becomes operational.
It adds an irqchip driver for this interrupt controller, and here are
some notes about it.
- For given SoC, a fixed number of MPM pins are supported, e.g. 96 pins
on QCM2290. Each of these MPM pins can be either a MPM_GIC pin or
a MPM_GPIO pin. The mapping between MPM_GIC pin and GIC interrupt
is defined by SoC, as well as the mapping between MPM_GPIO pin and
GPIO number. The former mapping is retrieved from device tree, while
the latter is defined in TLMM pinctrl driver.
- The power domain (PD) .power_off hook is used to notify RPM that APSS
is about to power collapse. This requires MPM PD be the parent PD of
CPU cluster.
- When SoC gets awake from sleep mode, the driver will receive an
interrupt from RPM, so that it can replay interrupt for particular
polarity.

The nds32 architecture, also known as AndeStar V3, is a custom 32-bit
RISC target designed by Andes Technologies. Support was added to the
kernel in 2016 as the replacement RISC-V based V5 processors were
already announced, and maintained by (current or former) Andes
employees.
As explained by Alan Kao, new customers are now all using RISC-V,
and all known nds32 users are already on longterm stable kernels
provided by Andes, with no development work going into mainline
support any more.
While the port is still in a reasonably good shape, it only gets
worse over time without active maintainers, so it seems best
to remove it before it becomes unusable. As always, if it turns
out that there are mainline users after all, and they volunteer
to maintain the port in the future, the removal can be reverted.

When detecting a context for a privilege mode different from the current
running privilege mode, we simply skip to the next context register.
This means that we never clear the S-mode enable bits when running in
M-mode.
On canaan k210, a bunch of S-mode interrupts are enabled by the bootrom.
These S-mode specific interrupts should never trigger, since we never set
the mie.SEIE bit in the parent interrupt controller (riscv-intc).
However, we will be able to see the mip.SEIE bit set as pending.
This isn't a good default when CONFIG_RISCV_M_MODE is set, since in that
case we will never enter a lower privilege mode (e.g. S-mode).
Let's clear the S-mode enable bits when running the kernel in M-mode, such
that we won't have a interrupt pending bit set, which we will never clear.

The PLIC supports a fixed number of contexts (15872).
Each context has fixed register offsets in PLIC.
The number of contexts that we need to initialize depends on the privilege
modes supported by each hart. Therefore, this mapping between PLIC context
registers to hart privilege modes is platform specific, and is currently
supplied via device tree.
For example, canaan,k210 has the following mapping:
Context0: hart0 M-mode
Context1: hart0 S-mode
Context2: hart1 M-mode
Context3: hart1 S-mode
While sifive,fu540 has the following mapping:
Context0: hart0 M-mode
Context1: hart1 M-mode
Context2: hart1 S-mode
Because the number of contexts per hart is not fixed, the names
ENABLE_PER_HART and CONTEXT_PER_HART for the register offsets are quite
confusing and might mislead the reader to think that these are fixed
register offsets per hart.
Rename the offsets to more clearly highlight that these are per PLIC
context and not per hart.

and has a raw spinlock for mutual exclusion, which is uses with
interruptible primitives.
This means that this critical section can itself be interrupted.

A careful look at the way the PDC driver works shows that:
- all interrupts are in the same space
- all interrupts are treated the same
And yet the driver creates two domains based on whether
the interrupt gets mapped directly or from the pinctrl code,

Kill the non-wakeup domain and unify all the interrupt handling.

that the PDC terminates the interrupt hierarchy. Which is
exactly the same as not having a mapping in the GIC space.

Pull irqchip fixes from Marc Zyngier:
- Drop an unused private data field in the AIC driver
- Various fixes to the realtek-rtl driver
- Make the GICv3 ITS driver compile again in !SMP configurations
- Force reset of the GICv3 ITSs at probe time to avoid issues during kexec
- Yet another kfree/bitmap_free conversion
- Various DT updates (Renesas, SiFive)
Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220128174217.517041-1-maz@kernel.org
A recent bug report outlined that the way GICv4.1 is handled across
kexec is pretty bad. We can end-up in a situation where ITSs share
memory (this is the case when SVPET==1) and reprogram the base
registers, creating a situation where ITSs that are part of a given
affinity group see different pointers. Which is illegal. Boo.
In order to restore some sanity, reset the BASERn registers to 0
*before* probing any ITS. Although this isn't optimised at all,
this is only a once-per-boot cost, which shouldn't show up on
anyone's radar.

Commit 835f442fdb ("irqchip/gic-v3-its: Limit memreserve cpuhp state

Given the intent of the check, short circuit it to always pass.

There is an offset between routing values (1..6) and the connected MIPS
CPU interrupts (2..7), but no distinction was made between these two
values.
This issue was previously hidden during testing, because an interrupt
mapping was used where for each required interrupt another (unused)
routing was configured, with an offset of +1.
Offset the CPU IRQ numbers by -1 to retrieve the correct routing value.

The driver assigned the irqchip and irq handler to the hardware irq,

Jay Chen reported that using a kdump kernel on a GICv4.1 system
results in a RAS error being delivered when the secondary kernel
configures the ITS's view of the new VPE table.
As it turns out, that's because each RD still has a pointer to
the previous instance of the VPE table, and that particular
implementation is very upset by seeing two bits of the HW that
should point to the same table with different values.
To solve this, let's invalidate any reference that any RD has to
the VPE table when discovering the RDs. The ITS can then be
programmed as expected.

Memory used by the LPI tables have to be made persistent for kexec to have
a chance to work, as explained in [1]. If they have been made persistent
and we are booting into a kexec'd kernel, we also need to free the pages
that were preemptively allocated by the new kernel for those tables.
Both of those operations currently happen during its_cpu_init(), which
happens in a _STARTING (IOW atomic) cpuhp callback for secondary
CPUs. efi_mem_reserve_iomem() issues a GFP_ATOMIC allocation, which
unfortunately doesn't work under PREEMPT_RT (this ends up grabbing a
non-raw spinlock, which can sleep under PREEMPT_RT). Similarly, freeing the
pages ends up grabbing a sleepable spinlock.
Since the memreserve is only required by kexec, it doesn't have to be done
so early in the secondary boot process. Issue the reservation in a new
CPUHP_AP_ONLINE_DYN cpuhp callback, and piggy-back the page freeing on top
of it. A CPU gets to run the body of this new callback exactly once.
As kexec issues a machine_shutdown() prior to machine_kexec(), it will be
serialized vs a CPU being plugged to life by the hotplug machinery - either
the CPU will have been brought up and have had its redistributor's pending
table memreserved, or it never went online and will have its table
allocated by the new kernel.

When using "devm_request_threaded_irq(,,,,IRQF_ONESHOT,,)" in a driver,
only the first interrupt is handled, and following interrupts are never
delivered (initially reported in [1]).
That's because the RISC-V PLIC cannot EOI masked interrupts, as explained
in the description of Interrupt Completion in the PLIC spec [2]:
<quote>
The PLIC signals it has completed executing an interrupt handler by
writing the interrupt ID it received from the claim to the claim/complete
register. The PLIC does not check whether the completion ID is the same
as the last claim ID for that target. If the completion ID does not match
an interrupt source that *is currently enabled* for the target, the
completion is silently ignored.
</quote>
Re-enable the interrupt before completion if it has been masked during
the handling, and remask it afterwards.

The MIPS GIC driver uses irq_cpu_online() to go and program the
per-CPU interrupts. However, this method iterates over all IRQs
in the system, despite only 3 per-CPU interrupts being of interest.
Let's be terribly bold and do the iteration ourselves. To ensure
mutual exclusion, hold the gic_lock spinlock that is otherwise
taken while dealing with these interrupts.

Now that entry code handles IRQ entry (including setting the IRQ regs)
before calling irqchip code, irqchip code can safely call
generic_handle_domain_irq(), and there's no functional reason for it to
call handle_domain_irq().
Let's cement this split of responsibility and remove handle_domain_irq()
entirely, updating irqchip drivers to call generic_handle_domain_irq().
For consistency, handle_domain_nmi() is similarly removed and replaced
with a generic_handle_domain_nmi() function which also does not perform
any entry logic.
Previously handle_domain_{irq,nmi}() had a WARN_ON() which would fire
when they were called in an inappropriate context. So that we can
identify similar issues going forward, similar WARN_ON_ONCE() logic is
added to the generic_handle_*() functions, and comments are updated for
clarity and consistency.

In preparation for removing HANDLE_DOMAIN_IRQ_IRQENTRY, have arch/arm
perform all the irqentry accounting in its entry code.
For configurations with CONFIG_GENERIC_IRQ_MULTI_HANDLER, we can use
generic_handle_arch_irq(). Other than asm_do_IRQ(), all C calls to
handle_IRQ() are from irqchip handlers which will be called from
generic_handle_arch_irq(), so to avoid double accounting IRQ entry, the
entry logic is moved from handle_IRQ() into asm_do_IRQ().
For ARMv7M the entry assembly is tightly coupled with the NVIC irqchip, and
while the entry code should logically live under arch/arm/, moving the
entry logic there makes things more convoluted. So for now, place the
entry logic in the NVIC irqchip, but separated into a separate
function to make the split of responsibility clear.
For all other configurations without CONFIG_GENERIC_IRQ_MULTI_HANDLER,
IRQ entry is already handled in arch code, and requires no changes.

As bcm6345_l1_irq_handle() is a chained irqchip handler, it will be
invoked within the context of the root irqchip handler, which must have
entered IRQ context already.
When bcm6345_l1_irq_handle() calls arch/mips's do_IRQ() , this will nest
another call to irq_enter(), and the resulting nested increment to
`rcu_data.dynticks_nmi_nesting` will cause rcu_is_cpu_rrupt_from_idle()
to fail to identify wakeups from idle, resulting in failure to preempt,
and RCU stalls.
Chained irqchip handlers must invoke IRQ handlers by way of thee core
irqchip code, i.e. generic_handle_irq() or generic_handle_domain_irq()
and should not call do_IRQ(), which is intended only for root irqchip
handlers.
Fix bcm6345_l1_irq_handle() by calling generic_handle_irq() directly.

Only MIPS based platforms using this interrupt controller as first level
interrupt controller can actually change the affinity of interrupts by
re-programming the affinity mask of the interrupt controller and use
another word group to have another CPU process the interrupt.
When this interrupt is used as a second level interrupt controller on
ARM/ARM64 there is no way to change the interrupt affinity. This fixes a
NULL pointer de-reference while trying to change the affinity since
there is only a single word group in that case, and we would have been
overruning the intc->cpus[] array.

The use of the cpu_logical_map[] array is only relevant for MIPS based
platform where this driver is used as a first level interrupt controller
and contains multiple register groups to map with an associated CPU.
On ARM/ARM64 based systems this interrupt controller is present and used
as a second level interrupt controller hanging off the ARM GIC. That
copy of the interrupt controller contains a single group, resulting in
the intc->cpus[] array to be of size 1.
Things happened to work in that case because we install that interrupt
controller as a chained handler which does not allow it to be affine to
any CPU but the boot CPU which happens to be 0, therefore we never
de-reference past intc->cpus[] but with the current code in place, we do
leave a chance of de-referencing the array past its bounds.

The QCOM PDC driver creates a bunch of unnecessary levels in
the interrupt hierarchy when dealing with non-wakeup-capable
interrupts. By definition, these lines are terminated at the
PDC level, and everything below this is completely fake.
This also results in additional complexity as most of the
callbacks have to check for the validity of the parent level.
Needless to say, this doesn't look very good.
Solve this by disconnecting the interrupt hierarchy below
the last valid level, and considerably simplify the handling
of all the other interrupts by avoiding now unnecessary cheks.
In most cases, the standard irq_*_parent() handlers are directly
used.

When disable_irq_nosync for an interrupt is called from within its
interrupt handler, this interrupt is only marked as disabled with the
intention to mask it when it triggers again.
The AIC hardware however automatically masks the interrupt when it is read.
aic_irq_eoi then unmasks it again if it's not disabled *and* not masked.
This results in a state mismatch between the hardware state and the
state kept in irq_data: The hardware interrupt is masked but
IRQD_IRQ_MASKED is not set. Any further calls to unmask_irq will directly
return and the interrupt can never be enabled again.
Fix this by keeping the hardware and irq_data state in sync by unmasking in
aic_irq_eoi if and only if the irq_data state also assumes the interrupt to
be unmasked.

commit 5f51f80382 ("irqchip/gic-v3: Add EPPI range support") added
GIC_IRQ_TYPE_PARTITION support for EPPI to gic_irq_domain_translate(),
and commit 52085d3f20 ("irqchip/gic-v3: Dynamically allocate PPI
partition descriptors") made the gic_data.ppi_descs array big enough for
EPPI, but neither gic_irq_domain_select() nor partition_domain_translate()
were updated.
This means partitions are created by partition_create_desc() for the
EPPI range, but can't be registered as they will always match the root
domain and map to the summary interrupt.
Update gic_irq_domain_select() to match PPI and EPPI. The fwspec for
PPI and EPPI both start from 0. Use gic_irq_domain_translate() to find
the hwirq from the fwspec, then convert this to a ppi index.

Pull irqchip fixes from Marc Zyngier:
- Fix a MIPS bug where irqdomain loopkups could occur in a context
where RCU is not allowed
- Fix a documentation bug for handle_domain_irq
Since d4a45c68dc ("irqdomain: Protect the linear revmap with RCU"),
any irqdomain lookup requires the RCU read lock to be held.
This assumes that the architecture code will be structured such as
irq_enter() will be called *before* the interrupt is looked up
in the irq domain. However, this isn't the case for MIPS, and a number
of drivers are structured to do it the other way around when handling
an interrupt in their root irqchip (secondary irqchips are OK by
construction).
This results in a RCU splat on a lockdep-enabled kernel when the kernel
takes an interrupt from idle, as reported by Guenter Roeck.
Note that this could have fired previously if any driver had used
tree-based irqdomain, which always had the RCU requirement.
To solve this, provide a MIPS-specific helper (do_domain_IRQ())
as the pendent of do_IRQ() that will do thing in the right order
(and maybe save some cycles in the process).
Ideally, MIPS would be moved over to using handle_domain_irq(),
but that's much more ambitious.

Core changes:
- Cleanup and simplification of common code to invoke the low level
interrupt flow handlers when this invocation requires irqdomain
resolution. Add the necessary core infrastructure.
- Provide a proper interface for modular PMU drivers to set the
interrupt affinity.
- Add a request flag which allows to exclude interrupts from spurious
interrupt detection. Useful especially for IPI handlers which always
return IRQ_HANDLED which turns the spurious interrupt detection into a
pointless waste of CPU cycles.
Driver changes:
- Bulk convert interrupt chip drivers to the new irqdomain low level flow
handler invocation mechanism.
- Add device tree bindings for the Renesas R-Car M3-W+ SoC
- Enable modular build of the Qualcomm PDC driver
- The usual small fixes and improvements.
