Marek Szyprowski addebf1588 mfd: exynos-lpass: Remove pad retention control
Pad retention should be controlled from pin control driver, so remove it
from Exynos LPASS driver. After this change, no more access to PMU regmap
is needed, so remove also the code for handling PMU regmap.

Steve Twiss 656211b1df mfd: Add support for DA9061
MFD support for DA9061 is provided as part of the DA9062 device driver.

The registers header file adds two new chip variant IDs defined in DA9061
and DA9062 hardware. The core header file adds new software enumerations
for listing the valid DA9061 IRQs and a da9062_compatible_types enumeration
for distinguishing between DA9061/62 devices in software.

The core source code adds a new .compatible of_device_id entry. This is
extended from DA9062 to support both "dlg,da9061" and "dlg,da9062". The
.data entry now holds a reference to the enumerated device type.

A new regmap_irq_chip model is added for DA9061 and this supports the new
list of regmap_irq entries. A new mfd_cell da9061_devs[] array lists the
new sub system components for DA9061. Support is added for a new DA9061
regmap_config which lists the correct readable, writable and volatile
ranges for this chip.

The probe function uses the device tree compatible string to switch on the
da9062_compatible_types and configure the correct mfd cells, irq chip and
regmap config.

Kconfig is updated to reflect support for DA9061 and DA9062 PMICs.

Benjamin Gaignard 4adec7da05 iio: stm32 trigger: Add quadrature encoder device
One of the features of STM32 trigger hardware block is a quadrature
encoder that can counts up/down depending of the levels and edges
of the selected external pins.

This patch allow to read/write the counter, get it direction,
set/get quadrature modes and get scale factor.

When counting up preset value is the limit of the counter.
When counting down the counter start from preset value down to 0.
This preset value could be set/get by using
/sys/bus/iio/devices/iio:deviceX/in_count0_preset attribute.

Quentin Schulz 808a8b7377 iio: adc: sun4i-gpadc-iio: add support for A33 thermal sensor
This adds support for the Allwinner A33 thermal sensor.

Unlike the A10, A13 and A31, the Allwinner A33 only has one channel
which is dedicated to the thermal sensor. Moreover, its thermal sensor
does not generate interruptions, thus we only need to directly read the
register storing the temperature value.

The MFD used by the A10, A13 and A31, was created to avoid breaking the
DT binding, but since the nodes for the ADC weren't there for the A33,
it is not needed.

Though the A33 does not have an internal ADC, it has a thermal sensor
which shares the same registers with GPADC of the already supported SoCs
and almost the same bits, for the same purpose (thermal sensor).

The thermal sensor behaves exactly the same (except the presence of
interrupts or not) on the different SoCs.

Quentin Schulz d1caa99055 iio: adc: add support for Allwinner SoCs ADC
The Allwinner SoCs all have an ADC that can also act as a touchscreen
controller and a thermal sensor. This patch adds the ADC driver which is
based on the MFD for the same SoCs ADC.

This also registers the thermal adc channel in the iio map array so
iio_hwmon could use it without modifying the Device Tree. This registers
the driver in the thermal framework.

The thermal sensor requires the IP to be in touchscreen mode to return
correct values. Therefore, if the user is continuously reading the ADC
channel(s), the thermal framework in which the thermal sensor is
registered will switch the IP in touchscreen mode to get a temperature
value and requires a delay of 100ms (because of the mode switching),
then the ADC will switch back to ADC mode and requires also a delay of
100ms. If the ADC readings are critical to user and the SoC temperature
is not, this driver is capable of not registering the thermal sensor in
the thermal framework and thus, "quicken" the ADC readings.

This driver probes on three different platform_device_id to take into
account slight differences (registers bit and temperature computation)
between Allwinner SoCs ADCs.

Linus Torvalds caa5942897 staging/iio driver patches for 4.11-rc1
Here is the big staging and iio driver patchsets for 4.11-rc1.

We almost broke even this time around, with only a few thousand lines
added overall, as we removed the old and obsolete i4l code, but added
some new drivers for the RPi platform, as well as adding some new IIO
 drivers.

All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
 issues.

Tony Lindgren 56e1d40d3b mfd: cpcap: Add minimal support
Many Motorola phones like droid 4 are using a custom PMIC called CPCAP
or 6556002. We can support it's core features quite easily with regmap_spi
and regmap_irq.

The children of cpcap, such as regulators, ADC and USB, can be just regular
device drivers and defined in the dts file. They get probed as we call
of_platform_populate() at the end of our probe, and then the children
can just call dev_get_regmap(dev.parent, NULL) to get the regmap.

Besides that, it also tries to transfer data even after the I2C host had
been suspended. This patch uses a simple flag to prevent this.

Hans de Goede 0a5454c901 mfd: axp20x: Use IRQF_TRIGGER_LOW on the axp288
The interrupt line of the entire family of axp2xx pmics is active-low,
for devicetree enumerated irqs, this is dealt with in the devicetree.

ACPI irq resources have a flag field for this too, I tried using this
on my CUBE iwork8 Air tablet, but it does not contain the right data.

The dstd shows the irq listed as either ActiveLow or ActiveHigh,
depending on the OSID variable, which seems to be set by the
"OS IMAGE ID" in the BIOS/EFI setup screen.

Since the acpi-resource info is no good, simply pass in IRQF_TRIGGER_LOW
on the axp288.

Together with the other axp288 fixes in this series, this fixes the axp288
irq contineously triggering.

Hans de Goede 888f97435a power: supply: axp288_fuel_gauge: Drop platform_data dependency
When the axp288_faul_gauge driver was originally merged, it was
merged with a dependency on some other driver providing platform
data for it.

However the battery-data-framework which should provide that data
never got merged, resulting in x86 tablets / laptops with an axp288
having no working battery monitor, as before this commit the driver
would simply return -ENODEV if there is no platform data.

This commit removes the dependency on the platform_data instead
checking that the firmware has initialized the fuel-gauge and
reading the info back from the pmic.

What is missing from the read-back info is the table to map raw adc
values to temperature, so this commit drops the temperature and
temperature limits properties. The min voltage, charge design and
model name info is also missing. Note that none of these are really
important for userspace to have.

All other functionality is preserved and actually made available
by this commit.

Linus Torvalds 3ec5e8d82b ARM: SoC non-urgent fixes for v4.10
As usual, we queue up a few fixes that don't seem urgent enough to go in
through -rc, or that just came a little too late given their size.

The zx fixes make the platform finally boot on real hardware, the
davinci and imx31 get the DT support working better for some of
the machines that are still normally used with classic board files.
One tegra fix is important for new bootloader versions, but the
bug has been around for a while without anyone noticing.

The other changes are mostly cosmetic.

The zx fixes make the platform finally boot on real hardware, the

tegra fix is important for new bootloader versions, but the bug has

Linus Torvalds 72cca7baf4 Staging/IIO patches for 4.10-rc1
Here's the "big" staging/iio pull request for 4.10-rc1.

Not as big as 4.9 was, but still just over a thousand changes. We
almost broke even of lines added vs. removed, as the slicoss driver was
removed (got a "clean" driver for the same hardware through the netdev
tree), and some iio drivers were also dropped, but I think we ended up
adding a few thousand lines to the source tree in the end. Other than
that it's a lot of minor fixes all over the place, nothing major stands
 out at all.

All of these have been in linux-next for a while. There will be a merge
conflict with Al's vfs tree in the lustre code, but the resolution for
that should be pretty simple, that too has been in linux-next.

Milo Kim fa9170522b mfd: tps65217: Make an interrupt handler simpler
Rework the IRQ handler by using HW IRQ number and status bit.

Each HW IRQ number is matched with TPS65217 register layout[*].
(USB IRQ number is 0, AC is 1, Push button is 2)

When an interrupt is enabled, mask bit should be cleared (unmasked).
If an interrupt is disabled, then mask bit should be set (masked).
This mask value is updated into the TPS65217 register in irq_sync_unlock().

Mask bit and interrupt status bit can be handled with HW IRQ number.
Eventually, additional IRQ data, 'tps65217_irqs[]' and the function,
'irq_to_tps65217_irq()' are not necessary.

Chen-Yu Tsai 34d9030b5d mfd: axp20x: Add address extension registers for AXP806 regmap
The AXP806 supports either master/standalone or slave mode.
Slave mode allows sharing the serial bus, even with multiple
AXP806 which all have the same hardware address.

This is done with extra "serial interface address extension",
or AXP806_BUS_ADDR_EXT, and "register address extension", or
AXP806_REG_ADDR_EXT, registers. The former is read-only, with
1 bit customizable at the factory, and 1 bit depending on the
state of an external pin. The latter is writable. Only when
the these device addressing bits (in the upper 4 bits of the
registers) match, will the device respond to operations on
its other registers.

Enum value of 'tps65217_irq_type' is not matched with DT parsed hwirq

Linus Torvalds 6a497e9d58 This is the bulk of GPIO changes for the v4.9 series:
Subsystem improvements:

 - Do away with the last users of the obsolete Kconfig options
   ARCH_REQUIRE_GPIOLIB and ARCH_WANT_OPTIONAL_GPIOLIB (the latter
always sounded like an item on a wishlist to Santa Claus to
me). We can now select GPIOLIB and be done with it, for all
archs. After some struggle it even work on UM. Not that it has
GPIO, but if it wants to, it can select the library.

 - Continued efforts to make drivers properly either tristate or
   bool.

 - Introduce a warning for drivers assigning default triggers to
their irqchip lines when probed from device tree, so we find and
fix these ambigous drivers. It is agreed that in the OF config
path, the device tree defines trigger characteristics.

 - The same warning, mutatis mutandis, for ACPI-probed GPIO
   irqchips.

 - We introduce the ability to mark certain IRQ lines as "unusable"
as they can be taken by BIOS/firmware, unrouted in silicon and
generally nasty if you use them, and such things. This is
put to good use in the STMPE driver and also in the Cherryview
   pin control driver.

 - A new "mockup" virtual GPIO device that can be used for testing.
The plan is to add unit tests under tools/* for exercising this
device and verify that the kernel code paths are working as they
   should.

 - Make memory-mapped I/O-drivers depend on HAS_IOMEM. This was
implicit all the time, but when people started building UM
with allyesconfig or allmodconfig it exploded in their face.

 - Move some stray bits of device tree and ACPI HW description
callbacks down into their respective implementation silo. These
were causing issues when compiling on !HAS_IOMEM as well, so
now eventually UM compiles the GPIOLIB library if it wants to.

 New drivers:

 - New driver for the Aspeed GPIO front-end companion to the
pin controller merged through the pin control tree.

 - New driver for the LP873x PMIC GPIO portions.

 - New driver for Technologic Systems' I2C FPGA GPIO such as
   TS4900, TS-7970, TS-7990 and TS-4100.

 - New driver for the Broadcom BCM63xx series including BCM6338
   and BCM6345.

 - New driver for the Intel WhiskeyCove PMIC GPIO.

 - New driver for the Allwinner AXP209 PMIC GPIO portions.

 - New driver for Diamond Systems 48 line GPIO-MM, another of
   these port-mapped I/O expansion cards.

 - Support the STMicroelectronics STMPE1600 variant in the STMPE
   driver.

 Driver improvements:

 - The STMPE driver now supports rising/falling edge detection
   properly for IRQs.

 - The PCA954x will now fetch and enable its VCC regulator properly.

 - Major rework of the PCA953x driver with the goal of eventually
switching it over to use regmap and thus modernize it even more.

 - Switch the IOP driver to use the generic MMIO GPIO library.

 - Move the ages old HTC EGPIO (extended GPIO) GPIO expander driver
over to this subsystem from MFD, achieveing some separation of
   concerns.

Lee Jones c45eab2cb0 mfd: ab8500-debugfs: Prevent initialised field from being over-written
Due to the lack of parity in the way array fields have been named/
numbered, a mistake was made where more debug fields were declared
than actually existed. In doing so, 2 fields were added, which
although unclear, were already declared in the array. The result
was that the latter declarations trashed the former ones.

This patch places the array back in the correct order and removes
the offending NULL entries.

While we're at it, let's ensure this doesn't happen again by naming
each field properly and add a new *_LAST define to describe how
many fields there should be.

Arnd Bergmann fae5e033d6 mfd: rk808: Fix RK818_IRQ_DISCHG_ILIM initializer
When building with -Woverride-init, we get a warning about an incorrect
initializer:

drivers/mfd/rk808.c:244:8: error: initialized field overwritten [-Werror=override-init]
  [RK818_IRQ_DISCHG_ILIM] = {

This is clearly a mistake, as both RK818_IRQ_DISCHG_ILIM and RK818_IRQ_USB_OV
are defined as '7', but they refer to different register bits. Changing
RK818_IRQ_DISCHG_ILIM to 15 is consistent with how all other 14 interrupts are
handled here, so I'm assuming this is what it should have been.

Chen-Yu Tsai 8824ee8573 mfd: axp20x: Add support for AXP806 PMIC
The X-Powers AXP806 is a new PMIC that is paired with Allwinner's A80
SoC, along with a master AXP809 PMIC.

This PMIC has a new register layout, and supports some functions not
seen in other X-Powers PMICs, such as master-slave mode, or having
multiple AXP806 PMICs on the same bus with address space extension,
or supporting both I2C and RSB mode. I2C has not been tested.

This patch adds support for the interrupts of the PMIC. A regulator
sub-device is enabled, but actual regulator support will come in a
later patch.

Newer revisions of the ChromeOS EC add more events besides the keyboard

fall back to the old MKBP key matrix host command.

Now that open delay and sample delay for each channel is configurable

Patrice Chotard 897ac6674c mfd: stmpe: Rework registers access
this update allows to use registers map as following :
regs[reg_index + offset] instead of
regs[reg_index] + offset

This makes code clearer and will facilitate the addition of STMPE1600
on which LSB and MSB registers are respectively located at addr and addr + 1.
Despite for all others STMPE variant, LSB and MSB registers are respectively
located in reverse order at addr + 1 and addr.

For variant which have 3 registers's bank, we use LSB,CSB and MSB indexes
which contains respectively LSB (or LOW), CSB (or MID) and MSB (or HIGH)
register addresses (STMPE1801/STMPE24xx).
For variant which have 2 registers's bank, we use LSB and CSB indexes only.
In this case the CSB index contains the MSB regs address (STMPE 1601).

Linus Torvalds c9b95e5961 sound updates for 4.8
Majority of this update is about ASoC, including a few new drivers,
and the rest are mostly minor changes. The only substantial change in
ALSA core is about the additional error handling in the
 compress-offload API. Below are highlights:

 - Add the error propagating support in compress-offload API

 - HD-audio: a usual Dell headset fixup, an Intel HDMI/DP fix, and the
default mixer setup change ot turn off the loopback

 - Lots of updates for ASoC Intel drivers, mostly board support and bug

 - Work on generalizing bits of simple-card to allow more code sharing
with the Renesas rsrc-card (which can't use simple-card due to DPCM)

 - Removal of the Odroid X2 driver due to replacement with simple-card

 - Support for several new Mediatek platforms and associated boards

Brian Norris 2b66bd692c mfd: cros_ec: Add EC_PWM function definitions
The EC_CMD_PWM_{GET,SET}_DUTY commands allow us to control a PWM that is
attached to the EC, rather than the main host SoC. The API provides
functionality-based (e.g., keyboard light, backlight) or index-based
addressing of the PWM(s). Duty cycles are represented by a 16-bit value,
where 0 maps to 0% duty cycle and U16_MAX maps to 100%. The period
cannot be controlled.

This command set is more generic than, e.g.,
EC_CMD_PWM_{GET,SET}_KEYBOARD_BACKLIGHT and could possibly used to
replace it on future products.

Let's update the command header to include the definitions.

Tero Kristo b9a0d35941 regulator: tps65218: Enable suspend configuration
TPS65218 has a pre-defined power-up / power-down sequence which in
a typical application does not need to be changed. However, it is possible
to define custom sequences under I2C control. The power-up sequence is
defined by strobes and delay times. Each output rail is assigned to a
strobe to determine the order in which the rails are enabled.

Every regulator has sequence registers and every regulator has a default
strobe value and gets disabled when a particular power down sequence
occurs.

To keep a regulator on during suspend we write value 0 to strobe so
that the regulator is out of all sequencers and is not impacted by any
power down sequence. Hence saving the default strobe value during probe
so that when we want to regulator to be enabled during suspend we write 0
to strobe and when we want it to get disabled during suspend we write
the default saved strobe value.
This allows platform data to specify which power rails should be on or off
during RTC only suspend. This is necessary to keep DDR state while in RTC
only suspend.

Gwendal Grignou 5d749d0bbe platform/chrome: cros_ec_dev - Fix security issue
Prevent memory scribble by checking that ioctl buffer size parameters
are sane.
Without this check, on 32 bits system, if .insize = 0xffffffff - 20 and
.outsize the amount to scribble, we would overflow, allocate a small
amounts and be able to write outside of the malloc'ed area.
Adding a hard limit allows argument checking of the ioctl. With the
current EC, it is expected .insize and .outsize to be at around 512 bytes
or less.

RCar Gen2 and later implementations of TMIO/SDHI have their own set of

others being added soon. Some may work on older chipsets but this needs
to be tested case by case. Instead of adding a bunch of flags for each

features if the need arises.
