Arnd Bergmann 41be14c71b dmaengine: ste_dma40: use proper format string for resource_size_t
A fixup for a printk format string warning causes an out-of-bounds
variable access as the %pR string expects a struct resource instead of
a plain resource_size_t.

Change both to the special %pap and %pap helpers for these types.

Linus Walleij 2893f6bc9d dmaengine: ste_dma40: Return error codes properly
This makes the probe() and its subfunction d40_hw_detect_init()
return proper error codes.

One effect of this is that deferred probe, e.g from the clock,
will start to work, would it happen. Also it is better design.

Linus Walleij e59d81e917 dmaengine: ste_dma40: Pass dev to OF function
The OF platform data population function only wants to
use struct device *dev, so pass that instead.

This change makes the compiler realize that the local
platform data variable is unused, so drop that too.

The Ux500 is device tree-only since ages. Delete the
platform data header and push it into or next to the driver
instead.

Drop the non-DT probe path since this will not happen.

Instead of passing the reserved SRAM as a "reg" field
look for a phandle to the LCPA SRAM memory so we can

Linus Walleij 15c6066865 dmaengine: ste_dma40: indicate granularity on channels
The ste_dma40 has burst level granularity on the residue
registers, which is necessary for some  clients to know,
notably the UART. Before this patch we get this message:

uart-pl011 80007000.uart: RX DMA disabled - no residue processing

This patch fixes it.

Linus Walleij 49873e99b7 dmaengine: ste_dma40: indicate directions on channels
Since the introduction of the .directions flags, ste_dma40 was
never patched to indicate which transfer directions it can manage.
This causes a problem when trying to use the dmaengine for generic
ALSA SoC DMA:

ux500-msp-i2s.1: Failed to get DMA channel capabilities, falling
   back to period counting: -6

This patch fixes this issue by indicating the supported transfer
directions for slave and memcpy channels.

Markus Elfring 28c01058b2 ste_dma40: Use kmalloc_array() in d40_hw_detect_init()
A multiplication for the size determination of a memory allocation
indicated that an array data structure should be processed.
Thus use the corresponding function "kmalloc_array".

This issue was detected also by using the Coccinelle software.

* The script "checkpatch.pl" can point information out like the following.

  WARNING: Prefer kcalloc over kzalloc with multiply

  Thus fix the affected source code places.

* Replace the specification of data types by pointer dereferences
  to make the corresponding size determination a bit safer according to
  the Linux coding style convention.
