This Kconfig option was removed during v4.19 development in commit
771c035372 ("deprecate the '__deprecated' attribute warnings entirely
and for good") so there's no point to keep it in defconfigs any longer.
FWIW defconfigs were patched with:

The SH RTC support has an extra level of indirection to provide
either the old read_persistent_clock/update_persistent_clock
interface or the rtc-generic device for hctosys/systohc.
By removing the indirection and always using the RTC_CLASS interface,
we can avoid the lossy double conversion between rtc_time and timespec,
so we end up supporting the entire range of 'year' values, and clarifying
the rtc_set_time callback.
I did not change the behavior of sh03_rtc_settimeofday(), which keeps
just updating the seconds/minutes by calling set_rtc_mmss(), this
could be improved if anyone cares. Also, the file should ideally be
moved into drivers/rtc and not use rtc-generic.

This doesn't have any benefit apart from saving a small amount of memory
when it is disabled. The ifdef hackery in the code makes it dirty
unnecessarily.
Clean it up by removing the Kconfig option completely. Few defconfigs
are also updated and CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT_DETAILS is replaced with
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT now in them, as users wanted stats to be enabled.

Commit 5d6be6a5 ("scsi_netlink : Make SCSI_NETLINK dependent on NET
instead of selecting NET") removed what happened to be the only instance
of 'select NET'. Defconfigs that were relying on the select now lack

Because of the removal of the scsi_tgt kernel module, the kbuild variables
CONFIG_SCSI_TGT, CONFIG_SCSI_SRP_TGT_ATTRS and CONFIG_SCSI_FC_TGT_ATTRS
are obsolete. This patch removes these variables. This patch is the result

The ns_cgroup is an annoying cgroup at the namespace / cgroup frontier and
leads to some problems:
* cgroup creation is out-of-control
* cgroup name can conflict when pids are looping
* it is not possible to have a single process handling a lot of
namespaces without falling in a exponential creation time
* we may want to create a namespace without creating a cgroup
The ns_cgroup was replaced by a compatibility flag 'clone_children',
where a newly created cgroup will copy the parent cgroup values.
The userspace has to manually create a cgroup and add a task to
the 'tasks' file.
This patch removes the ns_cgroup as suggested in the following thread:

The 'cgroup_clone' function is removed because it is no longer used.
This is a userspace-visible change. Commit 45531757b4 ("cgroup: notify
ns_cgroup deprecated") (merged into 2.6.27) caused the kernel to emit a
printk warning users that the feature is planned for removal. Since that
time we have heard from XXX users who were affected by this.

Now that we have CONFIG_DYNAMIC_DEBUG there is no need for yet
another flag causing dev_dbg() and pr_debug() statements in the
core PM code to produce output. Moreover, CONFIG_PM_VERBOSE
causes so much output to be generated that it's not really useful
and almost no one sets it.

This code has been untouched since it was merged many years ago, and has
severely bitrotted since, suggesting that the board has no real users

As the help for the config option suggests, this option really shouldn't
be set by default for any recent distribution as it changes the layout
of sysfs. I spotted this while running debian when udev got very
confused by the sysfs layout and failed to create some device nodes.

This patch series adds support for ITO Co., Ltd.'s SH-2007 reference
platform (A PC-104 based SH7780 platform).
This is a direct port of the out-of-tree board support from the vendor's
kernel, originally located at:
