Here is the big set of driver core and debug printk changes for 6.1-rc1.
 Included in here is:
 	- dynamic debug updates for the core and the drm subsystem.  The
 	  drm changes have all been acked by the relevant maintainers.
 	- kernfs fixes for syzbot reported problems
 	- kernfs refactors and updates for cgroup requirements
 	- magic number cleanups and removals from the kernel tree (they
 	  were not being used and they really did not actually do
 	  anything.)
 	- other tiny cleanups
 
 All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
 issues.

The core work this time around has mostly been around the code to manage
 regulator modes, simplifying the interface for configuring modes to not
 take account of the voltage and as a side effect resolving a
 bootstrapping issue on systems where we can't read the voltage from the
 regulator.  Otherwise it's been quite a quiet release with some new
 drivers and a devm helper:
 
  - Make the load handling in the Qualcomm RPMH regulators much more
    idiomatic and general cleanups to the handling of load configuration.

Andy Shevchenko b88c48bfdd pwm: core: Get rid of unused devm_of_pwm_get()
The devm_of_pwm_get() has recently lost its single user, drop
the dead API as well.

Note, the new code should use either plain pwm_get() or managed
devm_pwm_get() or devm_fwnode_pwm_get() APIs.

Andy Shevchenko 2b038e786f gpiolib: devres: Get rid of unused devm_gpio_free()
The last user, which in fact was a dead code, has gone a year ago,
previous one 3 years ago. On top of that we want to drop away the
legacy GPIO APIs in the kernel, so take a chance to get rid of
unused devm_gpio_free() and accompanying stuff.

Alexandru Ardelean 25c02edfd4 iio: inkern: introduce devm_iio_map_array_register() short-hand function
This change introduces a device-managed variant to the
iio_map_array_register() function. It's a simple implementation of calling
iio_map_array_register() and registering a callback to
iio_map_array_unregister() with the devm_add_action_or_reset().

The function uses an explicit 'dev' parameter to bind the unwinding to. It
could have been implemented to implicitly use the parent of the IIO device,
however it shouldn't be too expensive to callers to just specify to which
device object to bind this unwind call.
It would make the API a bit more flexible.

Uwe Kleine-König 39b27e89a7 driver core: Drop helper devm_platform_ioremap_resource_wc()
Since the macro was introduced in 2019 (commit bb6243b4f7 ("drivers:
platform: provide devm_platform_ioremap_resource_wc()") there is only a
single user which hardly justifies the function for the small task it
provides.

So drop the helper and open-code it in the only user. Adapt the non-wc
case accordingly.

For a all-mod-config build on amd64 this change introduces the following

Hector Martin 7c566bb5e4 asm-generic/io.h: Add a non-posted variant of ioremap()
ARM64 currently defaults to posted MMIO (nGnRE), but some devices
require the use of non-posted MMIO (nGnRnE). Introduce a new ioremap()
variant to handle this case. ioremap_np() returns NULL on arches that
do not implement this variant.

sparc64 is the only architecture that needs to be touched directly,
because it includes neither of the generic io.h or iomap.h headers.

This adds the IORESOURCE_MEM_NONPOSTED flag, which maps to this
variant and marks a given resource as requiring non-posted mappings.
This is implemented in the resource system because it is a SoC-level
requirement, so existing drivers do not need special-case code to pick
this ioremap variant.

Then this is implemented in devres by introducing devm_ioremap_np(),
and making devm_ioremap_resource() automatically select this variant
when the resource has the IORESOURCE_MEM_NONPOSTED flag set.

Alexandru Ardelean a02c09e42b iio: buffer-dma,adi-axi-adc: introduce devm_iio_dmaengine_buffer_setup()
This change does a conversion of the devm_iio_dmaengine_buffer_alloc() to
devm_iio_dmaengine_buffer_setup(). This will allocate an IIO DMA buffer and
attach it to the IIO device, similar to devm_iio_triggered_buffer_setup()
(though the underlying code is different, the final logic is the same).

Since the only user of the devm_iio_dmaengine_buffer_alloc() was the
adi-axi-adc driver, this change does the replacement in a single go in the
driver.

At this point all drivers should use devm_iio_kfifo_buffer_setup() instead
of manually allocating via devm_iio_kfifo_allocate() and assigning ops and
modes.

With this change, the devm_iio_kfifo_allocate() will be made private to the
IIO core, since all drivers should call either
devm_iio_kfifo_buffer_setup() or devm_iio_triggered_buffer_setup() to
create a kfifo buffer.

This change adds the devm_iio_kfifo_buffer_setup() helper/short-hand,
which groups the simple routine of allocating a kfifo buffers via
devm_iio_kfifo_allocate() and calling iio_device_attach_buffer().

The mode_flags parameter is required, as the IIO kfifo supports 2 modes:
INDIO_BUFFER_SOFTWARE & INDIO_BUFFER_TRIGGERED.
The setup_ops parameter is optional.

This function will be a bit more useful when needing to define multiple
buffers per IIO device.

The naming for this function has been inspired from
iio_triggered_buffer_setup() since that one does a kfifo alloc + a pollfunc
alloc. So, this should have a more familiar ring to what it is.

Bartosz Golaszewski fdcfd85433 rtc: rework rtc_register_device() resource management
rtc_register_device() is a managed interface but it doesn't use devres
by itself - instead it marks an rtc_device as "registered" and the devres
callback for devm_rtc_allocate_device() takes care of resource release.

This doesn't correspond with the design behind devres where managed
structures should not be aware of being managed. The correct solution
here is to register a separate devres callback for unregistering the
device.

While at it: rename rtc_register_device() to devm_rtc_register_device()
and add it to the list of managed interfaces in devres.rst. This way we
can avoid any potential confusion of driver developers who may expect
there to exist a corresponding unregister function.

  the structure. devm_drm_dev_alloc can cope with it being anywhere

- obviously embedded now strongly recommends using devm_drm_dev_alloc

Bartosz Golaszewski ac3a68d566 net: phy: don't abuse devres in devm_mdiobus_register()
We currently have two managed helpers for mdiobus - devm_mdiobus_alloc()
and devm_mdiobus_register(). The idea behind devres is that the release
callback releases whatever resource the devm function allocates. In the
mdiobus case however there's no devres associated with the device by
devm_mdiobus_register(). Instead the release callback for
devm_mdiobus_alloc(): _devm_mdiobus_free() unregisters the device if
it is marked as managed.

This all seems wrong. The managed structure shouldn't need to know or
care about whether it's managed or not - and this is the case now for
struct mii_bus. The devres wrapper should be opaque to the managed
resource.

This changeset makes devm_mdiobus_alloc() and devm_mdiobus_register()
conform to common devres standards: devm_mdiobus_alloc() allocates a
devres structure and registers a callback that will call mdiobus_free().
__devm_mdiobus_register() allocated another devres and registers a
callback that will unregister the bus.
