Add compatible string for MPC5125 FEC. The FEC on MPC5125 additionally
supports RMII PHY interface. Configure controller/PHY interface type
according to the optional phy-connection-type property in the ethernet
node. This property should be either "rmii" or "mii".

Fix a bug when using 'ethtool -K ethx tx off' to turn off tx ip checksum,
FCoE CRC offload should not be impacte. The skb_checksum_help() is needed
only if it's not FCoE traffic for ip checksum, regardless of ethtool toggling
the tx ip checksum on or off. Instead of using CHECKSUM_PARTIAL, we will
use CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY as a proper indication to avoid sw ip checksum
on FCoE frames.

This patch allows us to avoid a Tx hang when SR-IOV is enabled. This hang
can be triggered by sending small packets at a rate that was triggering Rx
missed errors from the adapter while the internal Tx switch and at least
one VF are enabled.
This was all due to the fact that under heavy stress the Rx FIFO never
drained below the flow control high water mark. This resulted in the Tx
FIFO being head of line blocked due to the fact that it relies on the flow
control high water mark to determine when it is acceptable for the Tx to
place a packet in the Rx FIFO.
The resolution for this is to set the FCRTH value to the RXPBSIZE - 32 so
that even if the ring is almost completely full we can still place Tx
packets on the Rx ring and drop incoming Rx traffic if we do not have
sufficient space available in the Rx FIFO.

Instead of dropping the packet, we keep the skb buffer, and return
NETDEV_TX_BUSY to let upper layer retry send. This will not cause
endless loop, because the host is taking data away from ring buffer,
and we have called the stop_queue before returning NETDEV_TX_BUSY.
The stop_queue was called in the function netvsc_send() in file
netvsc.c, then it returns to rndis_filter_send(), which returns to
netvsc_start_xmit() in file netvsc_drv.c. So the NETDEV_TX_BUSY is
indeed returned AFTER queue is stopped.

Resolve namespace issues when FCoE or DCB is not enabled.
The issue is with certain configurations we end up with namespace
problems. A simple example:
ixgbe_main.c
- defines func A()
- uses func A()
ixgbe_fcoe.c
- uses func A()
ixgbe.h
- has prototype for func A()
For default (FCoE included) all is good. But when it isn't the namespace
checker complains about how func A() could be static.
To resolve this, created a ixgbe_lib file to contain functions used
by DCB/FCoE and their helper functions so that they are always in
namespace whether or not DCB/FCoE is enabled.

This patch replaces the variable name data with the variable name features
for ixgbe_fix_features and ixgbe_set_features. This helps to make some
issues more obvious such as the fact that we were disabling Rx VLAN tag
stripping when we should have been forcing it to be enabled when DCB is
enabled.
In addition there was deprecated code present that was disabling the LRO
flag if we had the itr value set too low. I have updated this logic so
that we will now allow the LRO flag to be set, but will not enable RSC
until the rx-usecs value is high enough to allow enough time for Rx packet
coalescing.

This change makes it so that only the 2nd cache line in the ring structure
should see frequent updates. The advantage to this is that it should
reduce the amount of cross CPU cache bouncing since only the 2nd cache line
will be changing between most network transactions.

In super_1_sync (the first hunk) we need to clear 'changed' before
checking read_seqretry(), otherwise we might race with other code
adding a bad block and so won't retry later.
In md_update_sb (the second hunk), in the case where there is no
metadata (neither persistent nor external), we treat any bad blocks as
an error. However we need to clear the 'changed' flag before calling
md_ack_all_badblocks, else it won't do anything.
This patch is suitable for -stable release 3.0 and later.

'resizing' an array in this context means making use of extra
space that has become available in component devices, not adding new
devices.
It also includes shrinking the array to take up less space of
component devices.
This is not supported for array with a 'far' layout. However
for 'near' and 'offset' layout arrays, adding and removing space at
the end of the devices is easy to support, and this patch provides
that support.

So create a raid1 merge_bvec_fn to check that function in children
as well.
This introduces a small problem. There is no locking around calls

device added between these could end up getting a request which
violates its merge_bvec_fn.
Currently the best we can do is synchronize_sched(). This will work
providing no preemption happens. If there is is preemption, we just
have to hope that new devices are largely consistent with old devices.

These personalities currently set a max request size of one page
when any member device has a merge_bvec_fn because they don't
bother to call that function.
This causes extra works in splitting and combining requests.
So make the extra effort to call the merge_bvec_fn when it exists
so that we end up with larger requests out the bottom.

md.h has an 'rdev_for_each()' macro for iterating the rdevs in an
mddev. However it uses the 'safe' version of list_for_each_entry,
and so requires the extra variable, but doesn't include 'safe' in the
name, which is useful documentation.
Consequently some places use this safe version without needing it, and
many use an explicity list_for_each entry.
So:
- rename rdev_for_each to rdev_for_each_safe
- create a new rdev_for_each which uses the plain
list_for_each_entry,
- use the 'safe' version only where needed, and convert all other
list_for_each_entry calls to use rdev_for_each.

If RAID1 or RAID10 is used under LVM or some other stacking
block device, it is possible to enter a deadlock during
resync or recovery.
This can happen if the upper level block device creates
two requests to the RAID1 or RAID10. The first request gets
processed, blocks recovery and queue requests for underlying
requests in current->bio_list. A resync request then starts
which will wait for those requests and block new IO.
But then the second request to the RAID1/10 will be attempted
and it cannot progress until the resync request completes,
which cannot progress until the underlying device requests complete,
which are on a queue behind that second request.
So allow that second request to proceed even though there is
a resync request about to start.
This is suitable for any -stable kernel.

When commit 69e51b449d (md/bitmap: separate out loading a bitmap...)
created bitmap_load, it missed calling it after bitmap_create when a
bitmap is created through the sysfs interface.
So if a bitmap is added this way, we don't allocate memory properly
and can crash.
This is suitable for any -stable release since 2.6.35.

It seems that with recent kernel, writeback can still be happening
while shutdown is happening, and consequently data can be written
after the md reboot notifier switches all arrays to read-only.
This causes a BUG.
So don't switch them to read-only - just mark them clean and
set 'safemode' to '2' which mean that immediately after any
write the array will be switch back to 'clean'.
This could result in the shutdown happening when array is marked
dirty, thus forcing a resync on reboot. However if you reboot
without performing a "sync" first, you get to keep both halves.
This is suitable for any stable kernel (though there might be some
conflicts with obvious fixes in earlier kernels).

When an array is failed (some data inaccessible) then there is no
point attempting to add a spare as it could not possibly be recovered.
However that may be value in re-adding a recently removed device.
e.g. if there is a write-intent-bitmap and it is clear, then access
to the data could be restored by this action.
So don't reject a re-add to a failed array for RAID10 and RAID5 (the
only arrays types that check for a failed array).

Use SENSORS_DEVICE_ATTR instead of DEVICE_ATTR for most attributes,
so that the attribute number can be retrieved and it is no longer
necessary to generate functions using macros.
This shaves about 2 kB on the binary module size.

Reorder functions and driver declaration to no longer need to

Register hwmon device as last operation in the probe function to ensure that all
attribute files exist when accessed from user applications. Otherwise, there
is a short time frame where the device is registered as hwmon device but
sysfs attributes do not yet exist. This could result in applications erroneously
not detecting attributes.

If an error occurs while updating (e.g. because the chip was

Extend the kernel and userspace APIs to allow reporting all currently
completed isochronous packets, even if the next interrupt packet has not
yet been reached. This is required to determine the status of the
packets at the end of a paused or stopped stream, and useful for more
precise synchronization of audio streams.

The buffer for the header data of completed iso packets has a fixed
size, so it is possible to configure a stream with a big interval
between interrupt packets or with big headers so that this buffer would
overflow. Previously, ohci.c would drop any data that would not fit,
but this could make unsuspecting applications believe that fewer than
the actual number of packets have completed.
Instead of dropping data, add calls to flush_iso_completion() so that
there are as many events as needed to report all of the data.

In preparation for the following patches that add more flushing, move
the code for flushing accumulated header data into a common function.
The timestamp of the last completed packed is passed through the context
structure instead of a function parameter to allow accessing this value
later outside of the handle_i?_packet functions.

When storing the header data of completed iso packets, we effectively
treat the buffers as arrays of quadlets. Actually declaring the
pointers as u32* avoids repetitive pointer arithmetic, removes the
unhelpfully named "i" variables, and thus makes the code clearer.

The __netif_subqueue_stopped() just does the following:

This patch addresses a bug in srpt_handle_cmd() failure handling where
send_ioctx->kref is being leaked with the local extra reference after init,
causing the expected kref_put() in srpt_handle_send_comp() to not be the final
call to invoke srpt_put_send_ioctx_kref() -> transport_generic_free_cmd() and
perform se_cmd descriptor memory release.
It also fixes a SCF_SCSI_RESERVATION_CONFLICT handling bug where this code
is incorrectly falling through to transport_handle_cdb_direct() after
invoking srpt_queue_status() to send SAM_STAT_RESERVATION_CONFLICT status.
Note this patch is for >= v3.3 mainline code, and current lio-core.git
code has already been converted to target_submit_cmd() + se_cmd->cmd_kref usage,
and internal ioctx->kref usage has been removed. I'm including this patch
now into target-pending/for-next with a CC' for v3.3 stable.

This patch addresses a tcm_loop bug with transport_generic_allocate_tasks()
return checking in tcm_loop_submission_work() where other non zero return
codes (including -EBUSY for reservation conflicts) are incorrectly falling
through to transport_generic_map_mem_to_cmd() -> transport_handle_cdb_direct().

The semantics of "target frequency" given to devfreq driver from
devfreq framework has always been interpretted as "at least" or GLB
(greatest lower bound). However, the framework might want the
device driver to limit its max frequency (LUB: least upper bound),
especially if it is given by thermal framework (it's too hot).
Thus, the target fuction should have another parameter to express
whether the framework wants GLB or LUB. And, the additional parameter,
"u32 flags", does it.
With the update, devfreq_recommended_opp() is also updated.

handle_ir_buffer_fill() assumed that a completed descriptor would be
indicated by a non-zero transfer_status (as in most other descriptors).
However, this field is written by the controller as soon as (the end of)
the first packet has been written into the buffer. As a consequence, if
we happen to run into such a descriptor when the interrupt handler is
executed after such a packet has completed, the descriptor would be
taken out of the list of active descriptors as soon as the buffer had
been partially filled, so the event for the buffer being completely
filled would never be sent.
To fix this, handle descriptors only when they have been completely
filled, i.e., when res_count == 0. (This also matches the condition
that is reported by the controller with an interrupt.)

This change makes it so that we always write the DMA address for the skb
itself on the same tx_buffer struct that the skb is written on. This way
we don't need the MAPPED_AS_PAGE flag and we always know it will be the
first DMA value that we will have to unmap.
In addition I have found an issue in which we were leaking a DMA mapping if
the value happened to be 0 which is possible on some platforms. In order
to resolve that I have updated the transmit path to use the length instead
of the DMA mapping in order to determine if a mapping is actually present.
One other tweak in this patch is that it only writes the olinfo information
on the first descriptor. As it turns out it isn't necessary to write it
for anything but the first descriptor so there is no need to carry it
forward.

Instead of keeping a local copy of the skb on the stack for as long as long
as we do it makes sense to instead just place it on the first tx_buffer
structure so that we can save space on the stack and avoid unnecessary
read/write operations copying the pointer out of the stack and onto the
ring later.

A separate value was added to track Tx completions in order to determine if
the Tx unit was hung. However we can do the same thing using the number of

This change makes it more likely that the descriptor flags setup will use
cmov instructions instead of conditional jumps when setting up the flags.
The advantage to this is that the code should just flow a bit more
smoothly.
To do this it is necessary to set the TX_FLAGS_CSUM bit in tx_flags when
doing TSO so that we also do the checksum in addition to the segmentation
offload.

This patch replaces the existing Rx hot-path in the ixgbe driver with a new
implementation that is based on performing a double buffered receive. The
ixgbe driver already had something similar in place for its' packet split
path, however in that case we were still receiving the header for the
packet into the sk_buff. The big change here is the entire receive path
will receive into pages only, and then pull the header out of the page and
copy it into the sk_buff data. There are several motivations behind this
approach.
First, this allows us to avoid several cache misses as we were taking a
set of cache misses for allocating the sk_buff and then another set for
receiving data into the sk_buff. We are able to avoid these misses on
receive now as we allocate the sk_buff when data is available.
Second we are able to see a considerable performance gain when an IOMMU is
enabled because we are no longer unmapping every buffer on receive.
Instead we can delay the unmap until we are unable to use the page, and
instead we can simply call sync_single_range on the half of the page that
contains new data.
Finally we are able to drop a considerable amount of code from the driver
as we no longer have to support 2 different receive modes, packet split and
one buffer. This allows us to optimize the Rx path further since less
branching is required.

If host is going to autosuspend function with two interfaces and
if IP packet has arrived in-between of two usbnet_suspend() callbacks,
i.e usbnet_resume() is called in-between, tx data flow is stopped.
When autosuspend timer expires and device is put to autosuspend
again, tx queue is waked up and data can be sent again.
This behavior might be repeated several times in a row.
Tested on Intel/ARM.

Several fixes based on customer feedback:
* WHO_AM_I value has changed since preliminary parts used for initial
testing;
* Output of le16_to_cpu must be saved to memory before shifting to
preserve sign;
* Initial data rate was not extracted from data control register init.
This was causing the initial data rate to be set to maximum until
it was changed. To fix this problem, it made more sense to specify
initial data rate and extract the register mask from that.

Change the datatype of "ip_addr" to __be32 as 'ip' should be in
big endian format.
Adapter needs "ip address" in big endian format stored at lower 32bit
of req.word[1]. netxen_config_ipaddr() now receives 'ip' in big endian
format. To satisfy adapter's need, use memcpy() to copy byte by byte
of 'ip' into lower 32bit of req.word[1].
Mac address and serial number of adapter need to be in little endian format.
Change the data type of the related variables to __le32 / __le64 or cast it
explicitly to __le32 / __le64 depending upon the requirement.

The TMU device on the Mackerel board belongs to the A4R power domain
and loses power when the domain is turned off. Unfortunately, the
TMU driver is not prepared to cope with such situations and crashes
the system when that happens. To work around this problem introduce
a new helper function, pm_genpd_dev_always_on(), allowing a device
driver to mark its device as "always on" in case it belongs to a PM
domain, which will make the generic PM domains core code avoid
powering off the domain containing the device, both at run time and
during system suspend.

During resume from hibernation pm_genpd_restore_noirq() should only
power off domains whose suspend_power_off flags are set once and
not every time it is called for a device in the given domain.
Moreover, it shouldn't decrement genpd->suspended_count, because
that field is not touched during device freezing and therefore it is
always equal to 0 when pm_genpd_restore_noirq() runs for the first
device in the given domain.
This means pm_genpd_restore_noirq() may use genpd->suspended_count
to determine whether or not it it has been called for the domain in
question already in this cycle (it only needs to increment that
field every time it runs for this purpose) and whether or not it
should check if the domain needs to be powered off. For that to
work, though, pm_genpd_prepare() has to clear genpd->suspended_count
when it runs for the first device in the given domain (in which case
that flag need not be cleared during domain initialization).

During system suspend pm_genpd_suspend_noirq() checks if the given
device is in a wakeup path (i.e. it appears to be needed for one or
more wakeup devices to work or is a wakeup device itself) and if it
needs to be "active" for wakeup to work. If that is the case, the
function returns 0 without incrementing the device domain's counter
of suspended devices and without executing genpd_stop_dev() for the
device. In consequence, the device is not stopped (e.g. its clock
isn't disabled) and power is always supplied to its domain in the
resulting system sleep state.
However, pm_genpd_resume_noirq() doesn't repeat that check and it
runs genpd_start_dev() and decrements the domain's counter of
suspended devices even for the wakeup device that weren't stopped by
pm_genpd_suspend_noirq(). As a result, the start callback may be run
unnecessarily for them and their domains' counters of suspended
devices may become negative. Both outcomes aren't desirable, so fix
pm_genpd_resume_noirq() to look for wakeup devices that might not be
stopped by during system suspend.

ZTE have yet to discover the magic of USB descriptors. These
devices use ff/ff/ff for class/subclass/protocol regardless of
function, except for usb-storage. Use an interface number
whitelist to force the driver to bind only to the QMI/wwan
interface.
