Juuso Oikarinen af5e084b32 wl1271: prevent power save entry while not associated
The mac80211 sometimes requests power save entry while not associated - this
will cause problems, so prevent it if not associated. Go to powersave once
association is complete.

Luciano Coelho 94210897e2 wl1271: use channel 1 when configuring the data path
In the data path configuration, one of the parameters is the channel. We
have been setting it to wl->channel, which is not correct in this case. This
channel has nothing to do with the channel we're currently tuned to, since it
is only used for calibration during this phase. Hardcoded the channel to 1,

Vidhya Govindan 06cc5d3bb0 wl1251: Send null data packet with "TODS" bit set
According to IEEE80211 standard all the data packets have to be sent with
TODS bit set. This patch fixes the null data packet format which was sent
without TODS bit set. This should fix many problems associated with
power save. Janne Ylalehto also found this fix in the same time as mine,
for a different bug he was working on.

Implement (slightly) delayed entry into ELP. This will cure several
problems:
  - It works around a firmware race condition if ELP is entered too fast

  - It will reduce the number of sleep-wake cycles between already
scheduled events such as interrupts and tx, hence improving

To optimized the average SPI ready by 32 bits, also configure the number

After initial power-up, the embedded cpu is usually halted. However,
if we down the interface and only do a soft reset before bringing

Johannes Berg 3ac64beecd mac80211: allow configure_filter callback to sleep
Over time, a whole bunch of drivers have come up
with their own scheme to delay the configure_filter
operation to a workqueue. To be able to simplify
things, allow configure_filter to sleep, and add
a new prepare_multicast callback that drivers that
need the multicast address list implement. This new
callback must be atomic, but most drivers either
don't care or just calculate a hash which can be
done atomically and then uploaded to the hardware
non-atomically.

A cursory look suggests that at76c50x-usb, ar9170,
mwl8k (which is actually very broken now), rt2x00,
wl1251, wl1271 and zd1211 should make use of this

Bob Copeland b5ed9c1b6f wl1251: make irq handling interface specific

Within mac80211, we often need to copy the rx status into

drivers are expected to pass the RX status in skb->cb, now
accessible as IEEE80211_SKB_RXCB(skb). It also updates all
drivers to pass the rx status in there, but only by making
them memcpy() it into place before the call to the receive

Luciano Coelho 0d1c38398f wl12xx: moved firmware version reading routine to chip-specific functions
With WL1271, the firmware version can only be read right after booting the
chip. To keep WL1251 aligned with this procedure, the code that reads the
firmware version initially has been moved to a common place where it can be
read from both chipsets.

Luciano Coelho a336e26664 wl12xx: add wl12xx_spi_reg_read() and wl12xx_spi_reg_write() functions
In some cases we need to read more than 32 bits from the register area.
These functions were added to support that, like the existing
wl12xx_spi_mem_read() and wl12xx_spi_mem_write() already do for large blocks
in the memory area.

Juuso Oikarinen 0628817acc wl12xx: removed chipset interrupt source configuration from fw wakeup
The chipset source interrupt source configuration during fw wakeup was
blocking interrupts on the wl1271. The configuration is effectively
unused here as it is used to trigger an interrupt for the chipset
wake-up event, which is not handled, or waited for, in the fw wakeup
anyway on either wl1251 or wl1271.

Kalle Valo ff25839bf0 wl12xx: cmd and acx interface rework
Rework cmd and acx interfaces, it was just too confusing earlier. Now
all commands need to contain all the needed headers, either just cmd
headers or both cmd and acx headers. This accomplish to remove the
extra copy done for each command. The interfaces are now properly
documented as well.

Also try to make all commands safe for DMA transfers. I might have missed
some, but most of them should be fixed now.

And this is not all! As a free bonus you will also get some cosmetic
cleanups and code reorganisation. Order today!

Kalle Valo 2f01a1f588 wl12xx: add driver
wl12xx is a driver for TI wl1251 802.11 chipset designed for embedded
devices, supporting both SDIO and SPI busses. Currently the driver
supports only SPI. Adding support 1253 (the 5 GHz version) should be
relatively easy. More information here:
