Xi Wang c121638277 netfilter: ctnetlink: fix timeout calculation
The sanity check (timeout < 0) never works; the dividend is unsigned
and so is the division, which should have been a signed division.

	long timeout = (ct->timeout.expires - jiffies) / HZ;
	if (timeout < 0)
		timeout = 0;

This patch converts the time values to signed for the division.

Eric Dumazet 50612537e9 netem: fix classful handling
Commit 10f6dfcfde (Revert "sch_netem: Remove classful functionality")
reintroduced classful functionality to netem, but broke basic netem
behavior :

netem uses an t(ime)fifo queue, and store timestamps in skb->cb[]

If qdisc is changed, time constraints are not respected and other qdisc
can destroy skb->cb[] and block netem at dequeue time.

Fix this by always using internal tfifo, and optionally attach a child
qdisc to netem (or a tree of qdiscs)

Example of use :

Josh Hunt 32b293a53d IPv6: Avoid taking write lock for /proc/net/ipv6_route
During some debugging I needed to look into how /proc/net/ipv6_route
operated and in my digging I found its calling fib6_clean_all() which uses
"write_lock_bh(&table->tb6_lock)" before doing the walk of the table. I
found this on 2.6.32, but reading the code I believe the same basic idea
exists currently. Looking at the rtnetlink code they are only calling
"read_lock_bh(&table->tb6_lock);" via fib6_dump_table(). While I realize
reading from proc isn't the recommended way of fetching the ipv6 route
table; taking a write lock seems unnecessary and would probably cause
network performance issues.

To verify this I loaded up the ipv6 route table and then ran iperf in 3
cases:
  * doing nothing
  * reading ipv6 route table via proc
    (while :; do cat /proc/net/ipv6_route > /dev/null; done)
  * reading ipv6 route table via rtnetlink
    (while :; do ip -6 route show table all > /dev/null; done)

* Load the ipv6 route table up with:
  * for ((i = 0;i < 4000;i++)); do ip route add unreachable 2000::$i; done

* iperf commands:
  * client: iperf -i 1 -V -c <ipv6 addr>
  * server: iperf -V -s

* iperf results - 3 runs each (in Mbits/sec)
  * nothing: client: 927,927,927 server: 927,927,927
  * proc: client: 179,97,96,113 server: 142,112,133
  * iproute: client: 928,927,928 server: 927,927,927

lock_stat shows taking the write lock is causing the slowdown. Using this
info I decided to write a version of fib6_clean_all() which replaces
write_lock_bh(&table->tb6_lock) with read_lock_bh(&table->tb6_lock). With
this new function I see the same results as with my rtnetlink iperf test.

Pavel Emelyanov c9da99e647 unix_diag: Fixup RQLEN extension report
While it's not too late fix the recently added RQLEN diag extension
to report rqlen and wqlen in the same way as TCP does.

I.e. for listening sockets the ack backlog length (which is the input
queue length for socket) in rqlen and the max ack backlog length in
wqlen, and what the CINQ/OUTQ ioctls do for established.

Pavel Emelyanov 5d2e5f274f sock_diag: Introduce the meminfo nla core (v2)
Add a routine that dumps memory-related values of a socket.
It's made as an array to make it possible to add more stuff
here later without breaking compatibility.

Since v1: The SK_MEMINFO_ constants are in userspace
visible part of sock_diag.h, the rest is under __KERNEL__.

David S. Miller 8ade06c616 ipv6: Fix neigh lookup using NULL device.
In some of the rt6_bind_neighbour() call sites, it hasn't hooked
up the rt->dst.dev pointer yet, so we'd deref a NULL pointer when
obtaining dev->ifindex for the neighbour hash function computation.

Just pass the netdevice explicitly in to fix this problem.

Xi Wang ba1cffe025 ax25: avoid overflows in ax25_setsockopt()
Commit be639ac6 ("NET: AX.25: Check ioctl arguments to avoid overflows
further down the road") rejects very large arguments, but doesn't
completely fix overflows on 64-bit systems.  Consider the AX25_T2 case.

	int opt;
	...
	if (opt < 1 || opt > ULONG_MAX / HZ) {
		res = -EINVAL;
		break;
	}
	ax25->t2 = opt * HZ;

The 32-bit multiplication opt * HZ would overflow before being assigned
to 64-bit ax25->t2.  This patch changes "opt" to unsigned long.

Stephen Hemminger fa84309533 genetlink: add auto module loading
When testing L2TP support, I discovered that the l2tp module is not autoloaded
as are other netlink interfaces. There is because of lack of hook in genetlink to call
request_module and load the module.

David Miller 7ffbcecbee ipv6: Remove optimistic DAD flag test in ipv6_add_addr()
The route we have here is for the address being added to the interface,
ie. for input packet processing.

Therefore using that route to determine whether an output nexthop gateway
is known and resolved doesn't make any sense.

So, simply remove this test, it never triggered anyways.

Allan Stephens 3655959143 tipc: Ignore broadcast acknowledgements that are out-of-range
Adds checks to TIPC's broadcast link so that it ignores any
acknowledgement message containing a sequence number that does not
correspond to an unacknowledged message currently in the broadcast
link's transmit queue.

This change prevents the broadcast link from becoming stalled if a
newly booted node receives stale broadcast link acknowledgement
information from another node that has not yet fully synchronized
its end of the broadcast link to reflect the current state of the
new node's end.

Allan Stephens 10745cd599 tipc: Flush unsent broadcast messages when contact with last node is lost
Adds code to release any unsent broadcast messages in the broadcast link
transmit queue if TIPC loses contact with its only neighboring node.
Previously, a broadcast link that was in the congested state would hold
on to the unsent messages, even though the messages were now undeliverable.

The two broadcast link statistics fields that are used to derive the
average length of that link's transmit queue are now updated only after
a successful attempt to send a broadcast message, since there is no need
to update these values when an unsuccessful send attempt leaves the
queue unchanged.

Allan Stephens 2b78f9a002 tipc: Handle broadcast attempt when no neighboring nodes exist
Adds a check to detect when an attempt is made to send a message
via the broadcast link and no neighboring nodes are currently available
to receive it. Rather than wasting effort passing the message to the
broadcast link and broadcast bearer, who will only throw it away,
TIPC now frees the message immediately and reports success (i.e. the
message has been delivered to all available destinations).

Fixes oversight that allowed broadcast link node map to be updated without
first taking the broadcast link spinlock that protects the map. As part
of this fix the node map has been incorporated into the broadcast link

Allan Stephens c47e9b9188 tipc: Eliminate dynamic allocation of broadcast link data structures
Creates global variables to hold the broadcast link's pseudo-bearer and
pseudo-link structures, rather than allocating them dynamically. There
is only a single instance of each structure, and changing over to static
allocation allows elimination of code to handle the cases where dynamic
allocation was unsuccessful.

The memset in the teardown code may look like they aren't used, but
the same teardown code is run when there is a non-fatal error at
init-time, so that stale data isn't present when the user fixes the
cause of the soft error.

Modifies Ethernet bearer disable logic to break the association between
the bearer and its device driver at the time the bearer is disabled,
rather than when the TIPC module is unloaded. This allows the array

Allan Stephens 5c216e1d28 tipc: Allow run-time alteration of default link settings
Permits run-time alteration of default link settings on a per-media
and per-bearer basis, in addition to the existing per-link basis.
The following syntax can now be used:

    tipc-config -lt=<link-name|bearer-name|media-name>/<tolerance>
    tipc-config -lp=<link-name|bearer-name|media-name>/<priority>
    tipc-config -lw=<link-name|bearer-name|media-name>/<window>

Note that changes to the default settings for a given media type has
no effect on the default settings used by existing bearers. Similarly,
changes to default bearer settings has no effect on existing link
endpoints that utilize that interface.

Allan Stephens 3d749a6a26 tipc: Hide media-specific addressing details from generic bearer code
Reworks TIPC's media address data structure and associated processing
routines to transfer all media-specific details of address conversion
to the associated TIPC media adaptation code. TIPC's generic bearer code
now only needs to know which media type an address is associated with
and whether or not it is a broadcast address, and totally ignores the
"value" field that contains the actual media-specific addressing info.

These changes eliminate the need for a number of endianness conversion
operations and will make it easier for TIPC to support new media types
in the future.

Simplifies error handling performed during media registration, since
TIPC no longer supports the dynamic addition of new media types that
are potentially error-prone. These simplifications include the following:

1) No longer check for premature registration of a new media type.
2) No longer check for negative link priority values (which was pointless
   since such values are unsigned, and could cause a compiler warning).
3) No longer generate a warning describing the exact cause of any
   registration failure (just warns that overall registration failed).

We currently have two ways to account traffic in netfilter:

- iptables chain and rule counters:

While trying to display real-time accounting statistics, we require
to pool the kernel periodically to obtain this information. This is
OK if the number of flows is relatively low. However, in case that
the number of flows is huge, we can spend a considerable amount of
cycles to iterate over the list of flows that have been obtained.

Moreover, if we want to obtain the sum of the flow accounting results
that match some criteria, we have to iterate over the whole list of
existing flows, look for matchings and update the counters.

This patch adds the extended accounting infrastructure for
nfnetlink which aims to allow displaying real-time traffic accounting
without the need of complicated and resource-consuming implementation
in user-space. Basically, this new infrastructure allows you to create
accounting objects. One accounting object is composed of packet and
byte counters.

In order to manipulate create accounting objects, you require the
new libnetfilter_acct library. It contains several examples of use:

libnetfilter_acct/examples# ./nfacct-add http-traffic
libnetfilter_acct/examples# ./nfacct-get
http-traffic = { pkts = 000000000000,   bytes = 000000000000 };

Then, you can use one of this accounting objects in several iptables
rules using the new nfacct match (which comes in a follow-up patch):

 # iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --sport 80 -m nfacct --nfacct-name http-traffic
 # iptables -I OUTPUT -p tcp --dport 80 -m nfacct --nfacct-name http-traffic

The idea is simple: if one packet matches the rule, the nfacct match
updates the counters.

Eric Dumazet bb52c7acf8 netem: dont call vfree() under spinlock and BH disabled
commit 6373a9a286 (netem: use vmalloc for distribution table) added a
regression, since vfree() is called while holding a spinlock and BH
being disabled.

Fix this by doing the pointers swap in critical section, and freeing
after spinlock release.

Also add __GFP_NOWARN to the kmalloc() try, since we fallback to
vmalloc().

Florian Westphal 0354b48f63 netfilter: xt_connbytes: handle negation correctly
"! --connbytes 23:42" should match if the packet/byte count is not in range.

As there is no explict "invert match" toggle in the match structure,
userspace swaps the from and to arguments
(i.e., as if "--connbytes 42:23" were given).

However, "what <= 23 && what >= 42" will always be false.

Change things so we use "||" in case "from" is larger than "to".

This change may look like it breaks backwards compatibility when "to" is 0.
However, older iptables binaries will refuse "connbytes 42:0",
and current releases treat it to mean "! --connbytes 0:42",
so we should be fine.

The only remaining user of NAT protocol module reference counting is NAT
ctnetlink support. Since this is a fairly short sequence of code, convert
over to use RCU and remove module reference counting.

so no further changes are necessary.

Patrick McHardy cbc9f2f4fc netfilter: nf_nat: export NAT definitions to userspace
Export the NAT definitions to userspace. So far userspace (specifically,
iptables) has been copying the headers files from include/net. Also
rename some structures and definitions in preparation for IPv6 NAT.
Since these have never been officially exported, this doesn't affect
existing userspace code.

Pablo Neira Ayuso 3d058d7bc2 netfilter: rework user-space expectation helper support
This partially reworks bc01befdcf
which added userspace expectation support.

This patch removes the nf_ct_userspace_expect_list since now we
force to use the new iptables CT target feature to add the helper
extension for conntracks that have attached expectations from
userspace.

A new version of the proof-of-concept code to implement userspace
helpers from userspace is available at:

This patch also modifies the CT target to allow to set the
conntrack's userspace helper status flags. This flag is used
to tell the conntrack system to explicitly allocate the helper
extension.

This helper extension is useful to link the userspace expectations
with the master conntrack that is being tracked from one userspace
helper.

This feature fixes a problem in the current approach of the
userspace helper support. Basically, if the master conntrack that
has got a userspace expectation vanishes, the expectations point to
one invalid memory address. Thus, triggering an oops in the
expectation deletion event path.

I decided not to add a new revision of the CT target because
I only needed to add a new flag for it. I'll document in this
issue in the iptables manpage. I have also changed the return
value from EINVAL to EOPNOTSUPP if one flag not supported is
specified. Thus, in the future adding new features that only
require a new flag can be added without a new revision.

There is no official code using this in userspace (apart from
the proof-of-concept) that uses this infrastructure but there
will be some by beginning 2012.

Eric Dumazet 0fd7bac6b6 net: relax rcvbuf limits
skb->truesize might be big even for a small packet.

Its even bigger after commit 87fb4b7b53 (net: more accurate skb
truesize) and big MTU.

We should allow queueing at least one packet per receiver, even with a
low RCVBUF setting.

Setting a large rps_flow_cnt like (1 << 30) on 32-bit platform will
cause a kernel oops due to insufficient bounds checking.

where sizeof(struct rps_dev_flow) is 8.  (1 << 30) * 8 will overflow
32 bits.

This patch replaces the magic number (1 << 30) with a symbolic bound.

This is caused by bridge netfilter special dst_entry (fake_rtable), a
special shared entry, where attaching an inetpeer makes no sense.

Problem is present since commit 87c48fa3b4 (ipv6: make fragment
identifications less predictable)

Introduce DST_NOPEER dst flag and make sure ipv6_select_ident() and
__ip_select_ident() fallback to the 'no peer attached' handling.

Christoph Lameter 933393f58f percpu: Remove irqsafe_cpu_xxx variants
We simply say that regular this_cpu use must be safe regardless of
preemption and interrupt state.  That has no material change for x86
and s390 implementations of this_cpu operations.  However, arches that
do not provide their own implementation for this_cpu operations will
now get code generated that disables interrupts instead of preemption.

Eric Dumazet 9f28a2fc0b ipv4: reintroduce route cache garbage collector
Commit 2c8cec5c10 (ipv4: Cache learned PMTU information in inetpeer)
removed IP route cache garbage collector a bit too soon, as this gc was
responsible for expired routes cleanup, releasing their neighbour
reference.

As pointed out by Robert Gladewitz, recent kernels can fill and exhaust
their neighbour cache.

Reintroduce the garbage collection, since we'll have to wait our
neighbour lookups become refcount-less to not depend on this stuff.

Eric Dumazet 225d9b89c9 sch_sfq: rehash queues in perturb timer
A known Out Of Order (OOO) problem hurts SFQ when timer changes
perturbation value, since all new packets delivered to SFQ enqueue might
end on different slots than previous in-flight packets.

With round robin delivery, we can thus deliver packets in a different
order.

Since SFQ is limited to small amount of in-flight packets, we can rehash
packets so that this OOO problem is fixed.

This rehashing is performed only if internal flow classifier is in use.

We now store in skb->cb[] the "struct flow_keys" so that we dont call
skb_flow_dissect() again while rehashing.

Helmut Schaa aef6c928a9 mac80211: Keep skb->piority for relayed frames in AP mode
When mac80211 relays a frame from STA1 to STA2 in AP mode it will get
re-classified in the tx path. Unfortunately the frame protocol field
is always set to ETH_P_8023 while the classification only kicks in
for ETH_P_IP. Hence, a high priority frame from STA1 will be send to
STA2 as best effort.

Instead of running classification on the frame just use the same
priority as STA1 did. Do this by adding 256 to the skb->priority
to allow cfg80211_classify8021d to shortcut frame classification.

The hci_task_lock mutex (previously a lock) was supposed to protect the
register/unregister of HCI protocols against RX/TX tasks. This will not
be needed anymore because SCO and L2CAP will always be compiled.

Moreover, with the recent move of RX/TX to workqueues per device the
global hci_task_lock was causing starvation between different HCI
devices.

Gerlando Falauto cd7816d149 net: have ipconfig not wait if no dev is available
previous commit 3fb72f1e6e
makes IP-Config wait for carrier on at least one network device.

Before waiting (predefined value 120s), check that at least one device
was successfully brought up. Otherwise (e.g. buggy bootloader
which does not set the MAC address) there is no point in waiting
for carrier.

Thomas Graf a76c0adf60 sctp: Do not account for sizeof(struct sk_buff) in estimated rwnd
When checking whether a DATA chunk fits into the estimated rwnd a
full sizeof(struct sk_buff) is added to the needed chunk size. This
quickly exhausts the available rwnd space and leads to packets being
sent which are much below the PMTU limit. This can lead to much worse
performance.

The reason for this behaviour was to avoid putting too much memory
pressure on the receiver. The concept is not completely irational
because a Linux receiver does in fact clone an skb for each DATA chunk
delivered. However, Linux also reserves half the available socket
buffer space for data structures therefore usage of it is already
accounted for.

When proposing to change this the last time it was noted that this
behaviour was introduced to solve a performance issue caused by rwnd
overusage in combination with small DATA chunks.

Trying to reproduce this I found that with the sk_buff overhead removed,
the performance would improve significantly unless socket buffer limits
are increased.

The following numbers have been gathered using a patched iperf
supporting SCTP over a live 1 Gbit ethernet network. The -l option
was used to limit DATA chunk sizes. The numbers listed are based on
the average of 3 test runs each. Default values have been used for
sk_(r|w)mem.

Rusty Russell eb93992207 module_param: make bool parameters really bool (net & drivers/net)
module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int.  In
fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy
trick.

It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option.  For this version
it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version.

Xi Wang 2692ba61a8 sctp: fix incorrect overflow check on autoclose
Commit 8ffd3208 voids the previous patches f6778aab and 810c0719 for
limiting the autoclose value.  If userspace passes in -1 on 32-bit
platform, the overflow check didn't work and autoclose would be set
to 0xffffffff.

This patch defines a max_autoclose (in seconds) for limiting the value
and exposes it through sysctl, with the following intentions.

1) Avoid overflowing autoclose * HZ.

2) Keep the default autoclose bound consistent across 32- and 64-bit
   platforms (INT_MAX / HZ in this patch).

3) Keep the autoclose value consistent between setsockopt() and
   getsockopt() calls.

Alex Juncu 9cef310fcd llc: llc_cmsg_rcv was getting called after sk_eat_skb.
Received non stream protocol packets were calling llc_cmsg_rcv that used a

Nikolay Martynov 84381b4ed5 mac80211: split addba retries in time
Currently code allows three (HT_AGG_MAX_RETRIES) unanswered addba
requests. When this limit is reached aggregation is turned off for
given TID permanently. This doesn't seem right: three requests is
not that much, some 'blackout' can happen, but effect of it affects
whole connection indefinitely.
  This patch increases number of retries to 15. Also, when there have
been 3 or more retries it splits further retries apart by 15 seconds
instead of sending them in very short period of time.

Mat Martineau 79e654787c Bluetooth: Clear RFCOMM session timer when disconnecting last channel
When the last RFCOMM data channel is closed, a timer is normally set
up to disconnect the control channel at a later time.  If the control
channel disconnect command is sent with the timer pending, the timer
needs to be cancelled.

If the timer is not cancelled in this situation, the reference
counting logic for the RFCOMM session does not work correctly when the
remote device closes the L2CAP connection.  The session is freed at
the wrong time, leading to a kernel panic.

Mat Martineau 65983fc7bb Bluetooth: Incoming ACL packets do not force active mode
Incoming sk_buffs always have bt_cb(skb)->force_active set to 0, so
it's misleading to use that value from the control block when calling
hci_conn_enter_active_mode() for incoming data. The destination socket
is not known in the HCI layer, so the force_active setting for each
socket isn't known either. Hard-coding the force_active parameter does
not change any behavior, but makes it obvious that incoming ACL data
never exits sniff mode.

Use the expect tuple (if possible) instead of the master tuple for
the get operation. If two or more expectations come from the same
master, the returned expectation may not be the one that user-space
is requesting.

This is how it works for the expect deletion operation.

Although I think that nobody has been seriously using this. We
accept both possibilities, using the expect tuple if possible.
I decided to do it like this to avoid breaking backward
compatibility.

Glauber Costa 36b77a5208 net: fix sleeping while atomic problem in sock mem_cgroup.
We can't scan the proto_list to initialize sock cgroups, as it
holds a rwlock, and we also want to keep the code generic enough to
avoid calling the initialization functions of protocols directly,

Convert proto_list_lock into a mutex, so we can sleep and do the
necessary allocations. This lock is seldom taken, so there shouldn't
be any performance penalties associated with that

Ben Hutchings 278bc4296b ethtool: Define and apply a default policy for RX flow hash indirection
All drivers that support modification of the RX flow hash indirection
table initialise it in the same way: RX rings are assigned to table
entries in rotation.  Make that default policy explicit by having them
call a ethtool_rxfh_indir_default() function.

In the ethtool core, add support for a zero size value for
ETHTOOL_SRXFHINDIR, which resets the table to this default.

When establishing a unix connection on stream sockets the
server end receives an skb with socket in its receive queue.

Report who is waiting for these ends to be accepted for
listening sockets via NLA.

There's a lokcing issue with this -- the unix sk state lock is
required to access the peer, and it is taken under the listening
sk's queue lock. Strictly speaking the queue lock should be taken
inside the state lock, but since in this case these two sockets
are different it shouldn't lead to deadlock.

Pavel Emelyanov 5d3cae8bc3 unix_diag: Dumping exact socket core
The socket inode is used as a key for lookup. This is effectively
the only really unique ID of a unix socket, but using this for
search currently has one problem -- it is O(number of sockets) :(

Does it worth fixing this lookup or inventing some other ID for
unix sockets?

Pavel Emelyanov aec8dc62f6 sock_diag: Fix module netlink aliases
I've made a mistake when fixing the sock_/inet_diag aliases :(

1. The sock_diag layer should request the family-based alias,
   not just the IPPROTO_IP one;
2. The inet_diag layer should request for AF_INET+protocol alias,
   not just the protocol one.

Thus fix this.

Rajkumar Manoharan 5ce543d148 cfg80211: Restore orig channel values upon disconnect
When we restore regulatory settings the world regulatory domain
is properly reset on cfg80211 (or user prefered regulatory domain)
but we were never setting back channel values for drivers that use
WIPHY_FLAG_CUSTOM_REGULATORY. Set these values up again by using
the orig_ channel parameters.

This fixes restoring custom regulatory settings upon disconnect
events.

Luis R. Rodriguez 061acaae76 cfg80211: allow following country IE power for custom regdom cards
By definition WIPHY_FLAG_STRICT_REGULATORY was intended to allow the
wiphy to adjust itself to the country IE power information if the
card had no regulatory data but we had no way to tell cfg80211 that if
the card also had its own custom regulatory domain (these are typically
custom world regulatory domains) that we want to follow the country IE's
noted values for power for each channel. We add support for this and
document it.

This is not a critical fix but a performance optimization for cards
with custom regulatory domains that associate to an AP with sends
out country IEs with a higher EIRP than the one on the custom
regulatory domain. In practice the only driver affected right now
are the Atheros drivers as they are the only drivers using both
WIPHY_FLAG_STRICT_REGULATORY and WIPHY_FLAG_CUSTOM_REGULATORY --
used on cards that have an Atheros world regulatory domain. Cards
that have been programmed to follow a country specifically will not
follow the country IE power. So although not a stable fix distributions
should consider cherry picking this.

Helmut Schaa cf6bb79ad8 mac80211: Use appropriate TID for sending BAR, ADDBA and DELBA frames
Currently BAR, ADDBA and DELBA frames are always sent using AC_VO. If
the TID for which a BA session is established is assigned to a different
queue BAR, ADDBA and DELBA frames can "overtake" frames of the according
BA session.

Hence, always put BA session related frames into the same queue as the
BA sessions data frames.

Johannes Berg 4d33960bf9 mac80211: reduce station management complexity
Now that IBSS no longer needs to insert stations
from atomic context, we can get rid of all the
special cases for that, and even get rid of the
sta_lock (though it needs to stay as tim_lock.)

This makes the station management code much more
straight-forward.

Johannes Berg 8bf11d8d08 mac80211: delay IBSS station insertion
In order to notify drivers and simplify the station
management code, defer IBSS station insertion to a
work item and don't do it directly while receiving
a frame.

This increases the complexity in IBSS a little bit,
but it's pretty straight forward and it allows us
to reduce the station management complexity (next
patch) considerably.

Johannes Berg 29623892e1 mac80211: count authorized stations per BSS
Currently, each AP interface will send multicast
traffic if any interface has a station entry even
if that station entry is allocated only. With the
new station state management we can easily fix it
by adding a counter that counts each authorized
station only and send multicast traffic only when
the correct interface has at least one authorized
station.

Johannes Berg d9a7ddb05e mac80211: refactor station state transitions
Station entries can have various states, the most
important ones being auth, assoc and authorized.
This patch prepares us for telling the driver about
these states, we don't want to confuse drivers with
strange transitions, so with this we enforce that
they move in the right order between them (back and
forth); some transitions might happen before the
driver even knows about the station, but at least
runtime transitions will be ordered correctly.

As a consequence, IBSS and MESH stations will now
have the ASSOC flag set (so they can transition to
AUTHORIZED), and we can get rid of a special case
in TX processing.

When freeing a station, unwind the state so that
other parts of the code (or drivers later) can rely
on the transitions.

Johannes Berg bdd90d5e36 cfg80211: validate nl80211 station handling better
The nl80211 station handling code is a bit messy
and doesn't do a lot of validation. It seems like
this could be an issue for drivers that don't use
mac80211 to validate everything.

As cfg80211 doesn't keep station state, move the
validation of allowing supported_rates to change
for TDLS only in station mode to mac80211.

Samuel Ortiz d646960f79 NFC: Initial LLCP support
This patch is an initial implementation for the NFC Logical Link Control
protocol. It's also known as NFC peer to peer mode.
This is a basic implementation as it lacks SDP (services Discovery
Protocol), frames aggregation support, and frame rejecion parsing.
Follow up patches will implement those missing features.
This code has been tested against a Nexus S phone implementing LLCP 1.0.

Without an API for setting and getting the local and remote general bytes,
drivers won't be able to properly establish a DEP link.
This API also allows them to propagate the remote general bytes they get
from the DEP link establishment up to the LLCP layer.
