Paulo Alcantara 76894f3e2f cifs: improve symlink handling for smb2+
When creating inode for symlink, the client used to send below
requests to fill it in:

    * create+query_info+close (STATUS_STOPPED_ON_SYMLINK)
    * create(+reparse_flag)+query_info+close (set file attrs)
    * create+ioctl(get_reparse)+close (query reparse tag)

and then for every access to the symlink dentry, the ->link() method
would send another:

    * create+ioctl(get_reparse)+close (parse symlink)

So, in order to improve:

    (i) Get rid of unnecessary roundtrips and then resolve symlinks as
	follows:

        * create+query_info+close (STATUS_STOPPED_ON_SYMLINK +
parse symlink + get reparse tag)
        * create(+reparse_flag)+query_info+close (set file attrs)

(ii) Set the resolved symlink target directly in inode->i_link and
use simple_get_link() for ->link() to simply return it.

Enzo Matsumiya 1f3d5477b9 cifs: secmech: use shash_desc directly, remove sdesc
The struct sdesc is just a wrapper around shash_desc, with exact same
memory layout. Replace the hashing TFMs with shash_desc as it's what's
passed to the crypto API anyway.

Also remove the crypto_shash pointers as they can be accessed via
shash_desc->tfm (and are actually only used in the setkey calls).

Adapt cifs_{alloc,free}_hash functions to this change.

Steve French fb157ed226 cifs: when insecure legacy is disabled shrink amount of SMB1 code
Currently much of the smb1 code is built even when
CONFIG_CIFS_ALLOW_INSECURE_LEGACY is disabled.

Move cifssmb.c to only be compiled when insecure legacy is disabled,
and move various SMB1/CIFS helper functions to that ifdef. Some
functions that were not SMB1/CIFS specific needed to be moved out of
cifssmb.c

This shrinks cifs.ko by more than 10% which is good - but also will
help with the eventual movement of the legacy code to a distinct
module. Follow on patches can shrink the number of ifdefs by
code restructuring where smb1 code is wedged in functions that
should be calling dialect specific helper functions instead,
and also by moving some functions from file.c/dir.c/inode.c into
smb1 specific c files.

Steve French 087f757b01 cifs: add shutdown support
Various filesystem support the shutdown ioctl which is used by various
xfstests. The shutdown ioctl sets a flag on the superblock which
prevents open, unlink, symlink, hardlink, rmdir, create etc.
on the file system until unmount and remounted. The two flags supported
in this patch are:

  FSOP_GOING_FLAGS_LOGFLUSH and FSOP_GOING_FLAGS_NOLOGFLUSH

which require very little other than blocking new operations (since
we do not cache writes to metadata on the client with cifs.ko).
FSOP_GOING_FLAGS_DEFAULT is not supported yet, but could be added in
the future but would need to call syncfs or equivalent to write out
pending data on the mount.

With this patch various xfstests now work including tests 043 through
046 for example.

Al Viro f6a9bc336b cifs: allocate buffer in the caller of build_path_from_dentry()
build_path_from_dentry() open-codes dentry_path_raw().  The reason
we can't use dentry_path_raw() in there (and postprocess the
result as needed) is that the callers of build_path_from_dentry()
expect that the object to be freed on cleanup and the string to
be used are at the same address. That's painful, since the path
is naturally built end-to-beginning - we start at the leaf and
go through the ancestors, accumulating the pathname.

Life would be easier if we left the buffer allocation to callers.
It wouldn't be exact-sized buffer, but none of the callers keep
the result for long - it's always freed before the caller returns.
So there's no need to do exact-sized allocation; better use
__getname()/__putname(), same as we do for pathname arguments
of syscalls. What's more, there's no need to do allocation under
spinlocks, so GFP_ATOMIC is not needed.

Next patch will replace the open-coded dentry_path_raw() (in
build_path_from_dentry_optional_prefix()) with calling the real
thing. This patch only introduces wrappers for allocating/freeing
the buffers and switches to new calling conventions:
	build_path_from_dentry(dentry, buf)
expects buf to be address of a page-sized object or NULL,
return value is a pathname built inside that buffer on success,
ERR_PTR(-ENOMEM) if buf is NULL and ERR_PTR(-ENAMETOOLONG) if
the pathname won't fit into page. Note that we don't need to
check for failure when allocating the buffer in the caller -
build_path_from_dentry() will do the right thing.

fs: make helpers idmap mount aware
Extend some inode methods with an additional user namespace argument. A
filesystem that is aware of idmapped mounts will receive the user
namespace the mount has been marked with. This can be used for
additional permission checking and also to enable filesystems to
translate between uids and gids if they need to. We have implemented all
relevant helpers in earlier patches.

As requested we simply extend the exisiting inode method instead of
introducing new ones. This is a little more code churn but it's mostly
mechanical and doesnt't leave us with additional inode methods.

The read/write codepath is different than the rest as it is using
pages, io iterators and async calls. To deal with those we add a
server pointer in the cifs_writedata/cifs_readdata/cifs_io_parms
context struct and set it in:

- cifs_writepages (wdata)
- cifs_write_from_iter (wdata)
- cifs_readpages (rdata)
- cifs_send_async_read (rdata)

The [rw]data->server pointer is eventually copied to
cifs_io_parms->server to pass it down to SMB2_read/SMB2_write.
If SMB2_read/SMB2_write is called from a different place that doesn't
set the server field it will pick a channel.

Some places do not pick a channel and just use ses->server or
cifs_ses_server(ses). All cifs_ses_server(ses) calls are in codepaths
involving negprot/sess.setup.

- SMB2_negotiate (binding channel)
- SMB2_sess_alloc_buffer (binding channel)
- SMB2_echo (uses provided one)
- SMB2_logoff (uses master)

a trivial patch that replaces all use of snprintf with scnprintf.
scnprintf() is generally seen as a safer function to use than

In our case, there is no actual difference between the two since we never
look at the return value. Thus we did not have any of the bugs that
scnprintf protects against and the patch does nothing.

However, for people reading our code it will be a receipt that we
have done our due dilligence and checked our code for this type of bugs.

Al Viro 680baacbca new ->follow_link() and ->put_link() calling conventions
a) instead of storing the symlink body (via nd_set_link()) and returning
an opaque pointer later passed to ->put_link(), ->follow_link() _stores_
that opaque pointer (into void * passed by address by caller) and returns
the symlink body. Returning ERR_PTR() on error, NULL on jump (procfs magic
symlinks) and pointer to symlink body for normal symlinks. Stored pointer
is ignored in all cases except the last one.

Storing NULL for opaque pointer (or not storing it at all) means no call
of ->put_link().

b) the body used to be passed to ->put_link() implicitly (via nameidata).
Now only the opaque pointer is. In the cases when we used the symlink body
to free stuff, ->follow_link() now should store it as opaque pointer in addition
to returning it.

Steve French 2baa268253 Remap reserved posix characters by default (part 3/3)
This is a bigger patch, but its size is mostly due to
a single change for how we check for remapping illegal characters
in file names - a lot of repeated, small changes to
the way callers request converting file names.

The final patch in the series does the following:

1) changes default behavior for cifs to be more intuitive.
Currently we do not map by default to seven reserved characters,
ie those valid in POSIX but not in NTFS/CIFS/SMB3/Windows,
unless a mount option (mapchars) is specified. Change this
to by default always map and map using the SFM maping
(like the Mac uses) unless the server negotiates the CIFS Unix
Extensions (like Samba does when mounting with the cifs protocol)
when the remapping of the characters is unnecessary. This should
help SMB3 mounts in particular since Samba will likely be
able to implement this mapping with its new "vfs_fruit" module
as it will be doing for the Mac.
2) if the user specifies the existing "mapchars" mount option then
use the "SFU" (Microsoft Services for Unix, SUA) style mapping of
the seven characters instead.
3) if the user specifies "nomapposix" then disable SFM/MAC style mapping
(so no character remapping would be used unless the user specifies
"mapchars" on mount as well, as above).
4) change all the places in the code that check for the superblock
flag on the mount which is set by mapchars and passed in on all
path based operation and change it to use a small function call
instead to set the mapping type properly (and check for the
mapping type in the cifs unicode functions)

Steve French c22870ea2d mfsymlinks support for SMB2.1/SMB3. Part 2 query symlink
Adds support on SMB2.1 and SMB3 mounts for emulation of symlinks
via the "Minshall/French" symlink format already used for cifs
mounts when mfsymlinks mount option is used (and also used by Apple).

This second patch adds support to query them (recognize them as symlinks
and read them). Third version of patch makes minor corrections

Steve French 5ab97578cb Add mfsymlinks support for SMB2.1/SMB3. Part 1 create symlink
Adds support on SMB2.1 and SMB3 mounts for emulation of symlinks
via the "Minshall/French" symlink format already used for cifs
mounts when mfsymlinks mount option is used (and also used by Apple).
http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/UNIX_Extensions#Minshall.2BFrench_symlinks
This first patch adds support to create them. The next patch will
add support for recognizing them and reading them. Although CIFS/SMB3
have other types of symlinks, in the many use cases they aren't
practical (e.g. either require cifs only mounts with unix extensions
to Samba, or require the user to be Administrator to Windows for SMB3).
This also helps enable running additional xfstests over SMB3 (since some
xfstests directly or indirectly require symlink support).

Sachin Prabhu a9a315d414 cifs: Fix check for regular file in couldbe_mf_symlink()
MF Symlinks are regular files containing content in a specified format.

The function couldbe_mf_symlink() checks the mode for a set S_IFREG bit
as a test to confirm that it is a regular file. This bit is also set for
other filetypes and simply checking for this bit being set may return
false positives.

We ensure that we are actually checking for a regular file by using the
S_ISREG macro to test instead.

Sachin Prabhu 750b8de6c4 cifs: We do not drop reference to tlink in CIFSCheckMFSymlink()
When we obtain tcon from cifs_sb, we use cifs_sb_tlink() to first obtain
tlink which also grabs a reference to it. We do not drop this reference
to tlink once we are done with the call.

The patch fixes this issue by instead passing tcon as a parameter and
avoids having to obtain a reference to the tlink. A lookup for the tcon
is already made in the calling functions and this way we avoid having to
re-run the lookup. This is also consistent with the argument list for
other similar calls for M-F symlinks.

We should also return an ENOSYS when we do not find a protocol specific
function to lookup the MF Symlink data.
