Timur Tabi 5ead723a20 lib/vsprintf: no_hash_pointers prints all addresses as unhashed
If the no_hash_pointers command line parameter is set, then
printk("%p") will print pointers as unhashed, which is useful for
debugging purposes. This change applies to any function that uses
vsprintf, such as print_hex_dump() and seq_buf_printf().

A large warning message is displayed if this option is enabled.
Unhashed pointers expose kernel addresses, which can be a security
risk.

Also update test_printf to skip the hashed pointer tests if the
command-line option is set.

Masahiro Yamada 83272e6d47 kbuild: Remove $(cc-option,-gdwarf-4) dependency from DEBUG_INFO_DWARF4
The -gdwarf-4 flag is supported by GCC 4.5+, and also by Clang.

You can see it at https://godbolt.org/z/6ed1oW

  For gcc 4.5.3 pane, line 37: .value 0x4
  For clang 10.0.1 pane, line 117: .short 4

Given Documentation/process/changes.rst stating GCC 4.9 is the minimal
version, this cc-option is unneeded.

Note
----

CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_DWARF4 controls the DWARF version only for C files.

As you can see in the top Makefile, -gdwarf-4 is only passed to CFLAGS.

  ifdef CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO_DWARF4
  DEBUG_CFLAGS    += -gdwarf-4
  endif

This flag is used when compiling *.c files.

On the other hand, the assembler is always given -gdwarf-2.

  KBUILD_AFLAGS   += -Wa,-gdwarf-2

Hence, the debug info that comes from *.S files is always DWARF v2.
This is simply because GAS supported only -gdwarf-2 for a long time.

Recently, GAS gained the support for --gdwarf-[345] options. [1]
And, also we have Clang integrated assembler. So, the debug info
for *.S files might be improved in the future.

In my understanding, the current code is intentional, not a bug.

Ira Weiny bb90d4bc7b mm/highmem: Lift memcpy_[to|from]_page to core
Working through a conversion to a call kmap_local_page() instead of
kmap() revealed many places where the pattern kmap/memcpy/kunmap
occurred.

Eric Biggers, Matthew Wilcox, Christoph Hellwig, Dan Williams, and Al
Viro all suggested putting this code into helper functions. Al Viro
further pointed out that these functions already existed in the iov_iter
code.[1]

Various locations for the lifted functions were considered.

Headers like mm.h or string.h seem ok but don't really portray the
functionality well. pagemap.h made some sense but is for page cache
functionality.[2]

Another alternative would be to create a new header for the promoted
memcpy functions, but it masks the fact that these are designed to copy
to/from pages using the kernel direct mappings and complicates matters
with a new header.

Placing these functions in 'highmem.h' is suboptimal especially with the
changes being proposed in the functionality of kmap. From a caller
perspective including/using 'highmem.h' implies that the functions
defined in that header are only required when highmem is in use which is
increasingly not the case with modern processors. However, highmem.h is
where all the current functions like this reside (zero_user(),
clear_highpage(), clear_user_highpage(), copy_user_highpage(), and
copy_highpage()). So it makes the most sense even though it is
distasteful for some.[3]

Lift memcpy_to_page() and memcpy_from_page() to pagemap.h.

Daniel Latypov 5d31f71efc kunit: add kunit.filter_glob cmdline option to filter suites
E.g. specifying this would run suites with "list" in their name.
  kunit.filter_glob=list*

Note: the executor prints out a TAP header that includes the number of
suites we intend to run.
So unless we want to report empty results for filtered-out suites, we
need to do the filtering here in the executor.
It's also probably better in the executor since we most likely don't
want any filtering to apply to tests built as modules.

This code does add a CONFIG_GLOB=y dependency for CONFIG_KUNIT=y.
But the code seems light enough that it shouldn't be an issue.

For now, we only filter on suite names so we don't have to create copies
of the suites themselves, just the array (of arrays) holding them.

The name is rather generic since in the future, we could consider
extending it to a syntax like:
  kunit.filter_glob=<suite_glob>.<test_glob>
E.g. to run all the del list tests
  kunit.filter_glob=list-kunit-test.*del*

But at the moment, it's far easier to manually comment out test cases in
test files as opposed to messing with sets of Kconfig entries to select
specific suites.
So even just doing this makes using kunit far less annoying.

Daniel Latypov 65af9b964d kunit: don't show `1 == 1` in failed assertion messages
Currently, given something (fairly dystopian) like
> KUNIT_EXPECT_EQ(test, 2 + 2, 5)

KUnit will prints a failure message like this.
>  Expected 2 + 2 == 5, but
>      2 + 2 == 4
>      5 == 5

With this patch, the output just becomes
>  Expected 2 + 2 == 5, but
>      2 + 2 == 4

This patch is slightly hacky, but it's quite common* to compare an
expression to a literal integer value, so this can make KUnit less
chatty in many cases. (This patch also fixes variants like
KUNIT_EXPECT_GT, LE, et al.).

It also allocates an additional string briefly, but given this only
happens on test failures, it doesn't seem too bad a tradeoff.
Also, in most cases it'll realize the lengths are unequal and bail out
before the allocation.

We could save the result of the formatted string to avoid wasting this
extra work, but it felt cleaner to leave it as-is.

Edge case: for something silly and unrealistic like
> KUNIT_EXPECT_EQ(test, 4, 5);

It'll generate this message with a trailing "but"
>  Expected 4 == 5, but
>  <next line of normal output>

It didn't feel worth adding a check up-front to see if both sides are
literals to handle this better.

*A quick grep suggests 100+ comparisons to an integer literal as the
right hand side.

  Revert "lib: Restrict cpumask_local_spread to houskeeping CPUs"
2021-02-07 10:03:43 -08:00
Thomas Gleixner 2452483d95 Revert "lib: Restrict cpumask_local_spread to houskeeping CPUs"
This reverts commit 1abdfe706a.

This change is broken and not solving any problem it claims to solve.

Robin reported that cpumask_local_spread() now returns any cpu out of
cpu_possible_mask in case that NOHZ_FULL is disabled (runtime or compile
time). It can also return any offline or not-present CPU in the
housekeeping mask. Before that it was returning a CPU out of
online_cpu_mask.

While the function is racy against CPU hotplug if the caller does not
protect against it, the actual use cases are not caring much about it as
they use it mostly as hint for:

 - the user space affinity hint which is unused by the kernel
 - memory node selection which is just suboptimal
 - network queue affinity which might fail but is handled gracefully

But the occasional fail vs. hotplug is very different from returning
anything from possible_cpu_mask which can have a large amount of offline
CPUs obviously.

The changelog of the commit claims:

 "The current implementation of cpumask_local_spread() does not respect
  the isolated CPUs, i.e., even if a CPU has been isolated for Real-Time
  task, it will return it to the caller for pinning of its IRQ
  threads. Having these unwanted IRQ threads on an isolated CPU adds up
  to a latency overhead."

The only correct part of this changelog is:

 "The current implementation of cpumask_local_spread() does not respect
  the isolated CPUs."

Everything else is just disjunct from reality.

Further testing showed that this is caused by
-fsanitize=unsigned-integer-overflow, but is isolated to the 32-bit x86
architecture.

The one in blake2b immediately overflows the 8KB stack area
architectures, so better ensure this never happens by disabling the
option for 32-bit x86.

Paul E. McKenney 3375efeddf percpu_ref: Dump mem_dump_obj() info upon reference-count underflow
Reference-count underflow for percpu_ref is detected in the RCU callback
percpu_ref_switch_to_atomic_rcu(), and the resulting warning does not
print anything allowing easy identification of which percpu_ref use
case is underflowing. This is of course not normally a problem when
developing a new percpu_ref use case because it is most likely that
the problem resides in this new use case. However, when deploying a
new kernel to a large set of servers, the underflow might well be a new
corner case in any of the old percpu_ref use cases.

This commit therefore calls mem_dump_obj() to dump out any additional
available information on the underflowing percpu_ref instance.

Mark Rutland 997acaf6b4 lockdep: report broken irq restoration
We generally expect local_irq_save() and local_irq_restore() to be
paired and sanely nested, and so local_irq_restore() expects to be
called with irqs disabled. Thus, within local_irq_restore() we only
trace irq flag changes when unmasking irqs.

This means that a sequence such as:

| local_irq_disable();
| local_irq_save(flags);
| local_irq_enable();
| local_irq_restore(flags);

... is liable to break things, as the local_irq_restore() would mask
irqs without tracing this change. Similar problems may exist for
architectures whose arch_irq_restore() function depends on being called
with irqs disabled.

We don't consider such sequences to be a good idea, so let's define
those as forbidden, and add tooling to detect such broken cases.

This patch adds debug code to WARN() when raw_local_irq_restore() is
called with irqs enabled. As raw_local_irq_restore() is expected to pair
with raw_local_irq_save(), it should never be called with irqs enabled.

To avoid the possibility of circular header dependencies between
irqflags.h and bug.h, the warning is handled in a separate C file.

The new code is all conditional on a new CONFIG_DEBUG_IRQFLAGS symbol
which is independent of CONFIG_TRACE_IRQFLAGS. As noted above such cases
will confuse lockdep, so CONFIG_DEBUG_LOCKDEP now selects
CONFIG_DEBUG_IRQFLAGS.

kernel test robot 443121b3eb selftests/fpu: Fix debugfs_simple_attr.cocci warning
lib/test_fpu.c:66:0-23: WARNING: test_fpu_fops should be defined with DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTRIBUTE

 Use DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTRIBUTE rather than DEFINE_SIMPLE_ATTRIBUTE
 for debugfs files.

Semantic patch information:

 Rationale: DEFINE_SIMPLE_ATTRIBUTE + debugfs_create_file()
 imposes some significant overhead as compared to
 DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTRIBUTE + debugfs_create_file_unsafe().

In order to protect against file removal races, debugfs files created
via debugfs_create_file() now get wrapped by a struct file_operations
at their opening.

If the original struct file_operations are known to be safe against
removal races by themselves already, the proxy creation may be bypassed
by creating the files through debugfs_create_file_unsafe().

In order to help debugfs users who use the common
DEFINE_SIMPLE_ATTRIBUTE() + debugfs_create_file() idiom to
transition to removal safe struct file_operations, the helper macro
DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTRIBUTE() has been introduced.

Thus, the preferred strategy is to use
  DEFINE_DEBUGFS_ATTRIBUTE() + debugfs_create_file_unsafe()
now.

the immediate discriminating different operations.

In preparation, rename the instruction mode BPF_ATOMIC and start
calling the zero immediate BPF_ADD.

This is possible (doesn't break existing valid BPF progs) because the
immediate field is currently reserved MBZ and BPF_ADD is zero.

Amanoel Dawod 384b77fd48 Fonts: font_ter16x32: Update font with new upstream Terminus release
This is just a maintenance patch to update font_ter16x32.c with changes
and minor fixes added in new upstream Terminus v4.49.

>From release notes of new version 4.49, this brings:
- Altered ascii grave in some sizes to be more useful as a back quote.
- Fixed 21B5, added 21B2 and 21B3.

Just as my initial submission of the font, above changes were obtained from
new ter-i32b.psf font source.

Terminus font sources are available for download at SourceForge:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/terminus-font/files/terminus-font-4.49/

Simply running `make` in source directory will build the .psf font files.

John Millikin 0c36d88cff lib/raid6: Let $(UNROLL) rules work with macOS userland
Older versions of BSD awk are fussy about the order of '-v' and '-f'
flags, and require a space after the flag name. This causes build
failures on platforms with an old awk, such as macOS and NetBSD.

Since GNU awk and modern versions of BSD awk (distributed with
FreeBSD/OpenBSD) are fine with either form, the definition of
'cmd_unroll' can be trivially tweaked to let the lib/raid6 Makefile
work with both old and new awk flag dialects.

Move most of blake2s_update() and blake2s_final() into new inline

Randy Dunlap 605cc30dea zlib: move EXPORT_SYMBOL() and MODULE_LICENSE() out of dfltcc_syms.c
In commit 11fb479ff5 ("zlib: export S390 symbols for zlib modules"), I
added EXPORT_SYMBOL()s to dfltcc_inflate.c but then Mikhail said that
these should probably be in dfltcc_syms.c with the other
EXPORT_SYMBOL()s.

However, that is contrary to the current kernel style, which places
EXPORT_SYMBOL() immediately after the function that it applies to, so
move all EXPORT_SYMBOL()s to their respective function locations and
drop the dfltcc_syms.c file. Also move MODULE_LICENSE() from the
deleted file to dfltcc.c.

Ilya Leoshkevich f0bb29e8c4 lib/zlib: fix inflating zlib streams on s390
Decompressing zlib streams on s390 fails with "incorrect data check"
error.

Userspace zlib checks inflate_state.flags in order to byteswap checksums
only for zlib streams, and s390 hardware inflate code, which was ported
from there, tries to match this behavior. At the same time, kernel zlib
does not use inflate_state.flags, so it contains essentially random
values. For many use cases either zlib stream is zeroed out or checksum
is not used, so this problem is masked, but at least SquashFS is still
affected.

Fix by always passing a checksum to and from the hardware as is, which
matches zlib_inflate()'s expectations.

Huang Shijie 3684566384 lib/genalloc: fix the overflow when size is too big
Some graphic card has very big memory on chip, such as 32G bytes.

In the following case, it will cause overflow:

    pool = gen_pool_create(PAGE_SHIFT, NUMA_NO_NODE);
    ret = gen_pool_add(pool, 0x1000000, SZ_32G, NUMA_NO_NODE);

    va = gen_pool_alloc(pool, SZ_4G);

The overflow occurs in gen_pool_alloc_algo_owner():

		....
		size = nbits << order;
		....

The @nbits is "int" type, so it will overflow.
Then the gen_pool_avail() will return the wrong value.

This patch converts some "int" to "unsigned long", and
changes the compare code in while.

Andrey Konovalov 1f600626b3 kasan: rename KASAN_SHADOW_* to KASAN_GRANULE_*
This is a preparatory commit for the upcoming addition of a new hardware
tag-based (MTE-based) KASAN mode.

The new mode won't be using shadow memory, but will still use the concept
of memory granules. Each memory granule maps to a single metadata entry:
8 bytes per one shadow byte for generic mode, 16 bytes per one shadow byte
for software tag-based mode, and 16 bytes per one allocation tag for
hardware tag-based mode.

Rename KASAN_SHADOW_SCALE_SIZE to KASAN_GRANULE_SIZE, and
KASAN_SHADOW_MASK to KASAN_GRANULE_MASK.

Also use MASK when used as a mask, otherwise use SIZE.

No functional changes.

Linus Torvalds e2ae634014 RISC-V Patches for the 5.11 Merge Window, Part 1
We have a handful of new kernel features for 5.11:

 * Support for the contiguous memory allocator.
 * Support for IRQ Time Accounting
 * Support for stack tracing
 * Support for strict /dev/mem
 * Support for kernel section protection

 I'm being a bit conservative on the cutoff for this round due to the
 timing, so this is all the new development I'm going to take for this
 cycle (even if some of it probably normally would have been OK). There
 are, however, some fixes on the list that I will likely be sending along
 either later this week or early next week.

 There is one issue in here: one of my test configurations
 (PREEMPT{,_DEBUG}=y) fails to boot on QEMU 5.0.0 (from April) as of the
 .text.init alignment patch. With any luck we'll sort out the issue, but
 given how many bugs get fixed all over the place and how unrelated those
 features seem my guess is that we're just running into something that's
 been lurking for a while and has already been fixed in the newer QEMU
 (though I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of these implicit
 assumptions we have in the boot flow). If it was hardware I'd be
 strongly inclined to look more closely, but given that users can upgrade
 their simulators I'm less worried about it.

 There are two merge conflicts, both in build files. They're both a bit
 clunky: arch/riscv/Kconfig is out of order (I have a script that's
 supposed to keep them in order, I'll fix it) and lib/Makefile is out of
 order (though GENERIC_LIB here doesn't mean quite what it does above).

Pull RISC-V updates from Palmer Dabbelt:
 "We have a handful of new kernel features for 5.11:

   - Support for the contiguous memory allocator.

   - Support for IRQ Time Accounting

   - Support for stack tracing

   - Support for strict /dev/mem

   - Support for kernel section protection

  I'm being a bit conservative on the cutoff for this round due to the
  timing, so this is all the new development I'm going to take for this
  cycle (even if some of it probably normally would have been OK). There
  are, however, some fixes on the list that I will likely be sending
  along either later this week or early next week.

  There is one issue in here: one of my test configurations
  (PREEMPT{,_DEBUG}=y) fails to boot on QEMU 5.0.0 (from April) as of
  the .text.init alignment patch.

  With any luck we'll sort out the issue, but given how many bugs get
  fixed all over the place and how unrelated those features seem my
  guess is that we're just running into something that's been lurking
  for a while and has already been fixed in the newer QEMU (though I
  wouldn't be surprised if it's one of these implicit assumptions we
  have in the boot flow). If it was hardware I'd be strongly inclined to
  look more closely, but given that users can upgrade their simulators
  I'm less worried about it"

Linus Torvalds 5e60366d56 fallthrough fixes for Clang for 5.11-rc1
Hi Linus,

 Please, pull the following patches that fix many fall-through warnings
 when building with Clang 12.0.0 and this[1] change reverted. Notice
 that in order to enable -Wimplicit-fallthrough for Clang, such change[1]
 is meant to be reverted at some point. So, these patches help to move
 in that direction.

 - powerpc: boot: include compiler_attributes.h (Nick Desaulniers)
 - Revert "lib: Revert use of fallthrough pseudo-keyword in lib/" (Nick Desaulniers)
 - powerpc: fix -Wimplicit-fallthrough (Nick Desaulniers)
 - lib: Fix fall-through warnings for Clang (Gustavo A. R. Silva)

 Thanks!

Barnabás Pőcze 537cd89484 fault-injection: handle EI_ETYPE_TRUE
Commit af3b854492 ("mm/page_alloc.c: allow error injection")
introduced EI_ETYPE_TRUE, but did not extend

 * lib/error-inject.c:error_type_string(), and
 * kernel/fail_function.c:adjust_error_retval()

to accommodate for this change.

Handle EI_ETYPE_TRUE in both functions appropriately by
 * returning "TRUE" in error_type_string(),
 * adjusting the return value to true (1) in adjust_error_retval().

Furthermore, simplify the logic of handling EI_ETYPE_NULL in
adjust_error_retval().

Kees Cook d8a7f62b6e ubsan: remove redundant -Wno-maybe-uninitialized
Patch series "Clean up UBSAN Makefile", v2.

This series attempts to address the issues seen with UBSAN's object-size
sanitizer causing problems under GCC. In the process, the Kconfig and
Makefile are refactored to do all the cc-option calls in the Kconfig.
Additionally start to detangle -Wno-maybe-uninitialized, disable
UBSAN_TRAP under COMPILE_TEST for wider build coverage, and expand the
libusan tests.

This patch (of 7):

In commit 78a5255ffb ("Stop the ad-hoc games with
-Wno-maybe-initialized") -Wmaybe-uninitialized was disabled globally, so
keeping the disabling logic here too doesn't make sense.

Gao Xiang 89b158635a lib/lz4: explicitly support in-place decompression
LZ4 final literal copy could be overlapped when doing
in-place decompression, so it's unsafe to just use memcpy()
on an optimized memcpy approach but memmove() instead.

Upstream LZ4 has updated this years ago [1] (and the impact
is non-sensible [2] plus only a few bytes remain), this commit
just synchronizes LZ4 upstream code to the kernel side as well.

It can be observed as EROFS in-place decompression failure
on specific files when X86_FEATURE_ERMS is unsupported,
memcpy() optimization of commit 59daa706fb ("x86, mem:
Optimize memcpy by avoiding memory false dependece") will
be enabled then.

Currently most modern x86-CPUs support ERMS, these CPUs just
use "rep movsb" approach so no problem at all. However, it can
still be verified with forcely disabling ERMS feature...

arch/x86/lib/memcpy_64.S:
        ALTERNATIVE_2 "jmp memcpy_orig", "", X86_FEATURE_REP_GOOD, \
-                     "jmp memcpy_erms", X86_FEATURE_ERMS
+                     "jmp memcpy_orig", X86_FEATURE_ERMS

We didn't observe any strange on arm64/arm/x86 platform before
since most memcpy() would behave in an increasing address order
("copy upwards" [3]) and it's the correct order of in-place
decompression but it really needs an update to memmove() for sure
considering it's an undefined behavior according to the standard
and some unique optimization already exists in the kernel.

Sebastian Andrzej Siewior 45e3d5a2af lib/test_lockup.c: minimum fix to get it compiled on PREEMPT_RT
On PREEMPT_RT the locks are quite different so they can't be tested as it
is done below. The alternative is to test for the waitlock within
rtmutex.

This is the bare minimun to get it compiled. Problems which exist on
PREEMP_RT:

 - none of the locks (spinlock_t, rwlock_t, mutex_t, rw_semaphore) may
   be acquired with disabled preemption or interrupts.

   If I read the code correct the it is possible to acquire a mutex_t
   with disabled interrupts.

   I don't know how to obtain a lock pointer. Technically they are not
   exported to userland.

 - memory can not be allocated with disabled preemption or interrupts
   even with GFP_ATOMIC.

Gustavo A. R. Silva 3a2b67e6e3 lib/stackdepot.c: replace one-element array with flexible-array member
Patch series "lib/stackdepot.c: Replace one-element array with flexible-array member".

This series aims to replace a one-element array with a flexible-array
member. Also, make use of the struct_size(), flexible_array_size() and
array_size() helpers.

This patch (of 3):

There is a regular need in the kernel to provide a way to declare having a
dynamically sized set of trailing elements in a structure. Kernel code
should always use “flexible array members”[1] for these cases. The
older style of one-element or zero-length arrays should no longer be
used[2].

Refactor the code according to the use of a flexible-array member in
struct stack_record, instead of a one-element array, and use the
struct_size() helper to calculate the size for the allocation.

Linus Torvalds 7240153a9b Driver core updates for 5.11-rc1
Here is the big driver core updates for 5.11-rc1

 This time there was a lot of different work happening here for some
 reason:
 	- redo of the fwnode link logic, speeding it up greatly
 	- auxiliary bus added (this was a tag that will be pulled in
 	  from other trees/maintainers this merge window as well, as
 	  driver subsystems started to rely on it)
 	- platform driver core cleanups on the way to fixing some
 	  long-time api updates in future releases
 	- minor fixes and tweaks.

 All have been in linux-next with no (finally) reported issues. Testing
 there did helped in shaking issues out a lot :)

 "Here is the big driver core updates for 5.11-rc1

  This time there was a lot of different work happening here for some
  reason:

   - redo of the fwnode link logic, speeding it up greatly

   - auxiliary bus added (this was a tag that will be pulled in from
     other trees/maintainers this merge window as well, as driver
     subsystems started to rely on it)

   - platform driver core cleanups on the way to fixing some long-time
     api updates in future releases

   - minor fixes and tweaks.

  All have been in linux-next with no (finally) reported issues. Testing
  there did helped in shaking issues out a lot :)"

Linus Torvalds edd7ab7684 The new preemtible kmap_local() implementation:
- Consolidate all kmap_atomic() internals into a generic implementation
     which builds the base for the kmap_local() API and make the
     kmap_atomic() interface wrappers which handle the disabling/enabling of
     preemption and pagefaults.

   - Switch the storage from per-CPU to per task and provide scheduler
     support for clearing mapping when scheduling out and restoring them
     when scheduling back in.

   - Merge the migrate_disable/enable() code, which is also part of the
     scheduler pull request. This was required to make the kmap_local()
     interface available which does not disable preemption when a mapping
     is established. It has to disable migration instead to guarantee that
     the virtual address of the mapped slot is the same accross preemption.

   - Provide better debug facilities: guard pages and enforced utilization
     of the mapping mechanics on 64bit systems when the architecture allows
     it.

   - Provide the new kmap_local() API which can now be used to cleanup the
     kmap_atomic() usage sites all over the place. Most of the usage sites
     do not require the implicit disabling of preemption and pagefaults so
     the penalty on 64bit and 32bit non-highmem systems is removed and quite
     some of the code can be simplified. A wholesale conversion is not
     possible because some usage depends on the implicit side effects and
     some need to be cleaned up because they work around these side effects.

     The migrate disable side effect is only effective on highmem systems
     and when enforced debugging is enabled. On 64bit and 32bit non-highmem
     systems the overhead is completely avoided.

Linus Torvalds 586592478b - Add support for the hugetlb_cma command line option to allocate gigantic
hugepages using CMA:

 - Add arch_get_random_long() support.

 - Add ap bus userspace notifications.

 - Increase default size of vmalloc area to 512GB and otherwise let it increase
   dynamically by the size of physical memory. This should fix all occurrences
   where the vmalloc area was not large enough.

 - Completely get rid of set_fs() (aka select SET_FS) and rework address space
   handling while doing that; making address space handling much more simple.

 - Reimplement getcpu vdso syscall in C.

 - Add support for extended SCLP responses (> 4k). This allows e.g. to handle
   also potential large system configurations.

 - Simplify KASAN by removing 3-level page table support and only supporting
   4-levels from now on.

 - Improve debug-ability of the kernel decompressor code, which now prints also
   stack traces and symbols in case of problems to the console.

 - Remove more power management leftovers.

 - Other various fixes and improvements all over the place.
