ASoC: fsl_asrc: Add an option to select internal ratio mode
The ASRC not only supports ideal ratio mode, but also supports
internal ratio mode.

For internal rato mode, the rate of clock source should be divided
with no remainder by sample rate, otherwise there is sound
distortion.

Add function fsl_asrc_select_clk() to find proper clock source for
internal ratio mode, if the clock source is available then internal
ratio mode will be selected.

With change, the ideal ratio mode is not the only option for user.

With dedicated power domain for asrc, power can be disabled after

ASoC: fsl_asrc: Add support for imx8qm & imx8qxp
There are two asrc module in imx8qm & imx8qxp, each module has
different clock configuration, and the DMA type is EDMA.

So in this patch, we define the new clocks, refine the clock map,
and include struct fsl_asrc_soc_data for different soc usage.

The EDMA channel is fixed with each dma request, one dma request
corresponding to one dma channel. So we need to request dma
channel with dma request of asrc module.

ASoC: fsl_asrc: refine the setting of internal clock divider
The output divider should align with the output sample
rate, if use ideal sample rate, there will be a lot of overload,
which would cause underrun.

The maximum divider of asrc clock is 1024, but there is no
judgement for this limitation in driver, which may cause the divider
setting not correct.

For non-ideal ratio mode, the clock rate should divide the sample
rate with no remainder, and the quotient should be less than 1024.

There is error "aplay: pcm_write:2023: write error: Input/output error"

In i.MX8QM/i.MX8QXP, the DMA is EDMA, which don't support 24bit

ASoC: fsl_asrc: update supported sample format
The ASRC support 24bit/16bit/8bit input width, which is
data width, not slot width.

For the S20_3LE format, the data with is 20bit, slot width
is 24bit, if we set ASRMCR1n.IWD to be 24bits, the result
is the volume is lower than expected, it likes 24bit data
right shift 4 bits

So replace S20_3LE with S24_3LE in supported list and add S8

Same as commit ce492b3b8f
Subject: drm/fsl-dcu: use flat regmap cache

Using flat regmap cache instead of RB-tree to avoid the following
lockdep warning on driver load:
WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 1 at kernel/locking/lockdep.c:2871 lockdep_trace_alloc+0x104/0x128
DEBUG_LOCKS_WARN_ON(irqs_disabled_flags(flags))

The RB-tree regmap cache needs to allocate new space on first
writes. However, allocations in an atomic context (e.g. when a
spinlock is held) are not allowed. The function regmap_write
calls map->lock, which acquires a spinlock in the fast_io case.
Since the driver uses MMIO, the regmap bus of type regmap_mmio
is being used which has fast_io set to true.

for registering the interrupt name.

This can be simplified by registering it with dev_name() instead.

Rafael J. Wysocki 641d334b29 sound / PM: Replace CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME with CONFIG_PM
After commit b2b49ccbdd (PM: Kconfig: Set PM_RUNTIME if PM_SLEEP is
selected) PM_RUNTIME is always set if PM is set, so #ifdef blocks
depending on CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME may now be changed to depend on
CONFIG_PM.

Replace CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME with CONFIG_PM everywhere under sound/.

2745                 return;
=============================================================================

By looking at 2744 line, we can get that it's because regcache_rbtree_write()
would call kmalloc() with GFP flag if it couldn't find an existing block to
insert nodes while this kmalloc() call is inside a spin_lock_irq_save pair,
i.e. IRQs disabled.

Even though this may be a bug that should be fixed, I still try to send this
patch as a quick fix (work around) since it does no harm to assign default
values of every registers when using regcache.

Daniel Mack 6aa256b6c6 ASoC: fsl: use strncpy() to prevent copying of over-long names
Use strncpy() instead of strcpy(). That's not a security issue, as the
source buffer is taken from DT nodes, but we should still enforce bound
checks. Spotted by Coverity.

Nicolin Chen 3117bb3109 ASoC: fsl_asrc: Add ASRC ASoC CPU DAI and platform drivers
The Asynchronous Sample Rate Converter (ASRC) converts the sampling rate of a

Ends DAI links such as ESAI<->CS42888 and SSI<->WM8962 and SAI. It converts the
