Alex Deucher 59aebe2b32 Revert "drm/radeon: Implement radeon_pci_shutdown"
This causes a race condition between drm_dev_unregister()
and pci_driver.shutdown at shutdown or driver unload time.

We need to revisit how to properly support kexec within
the drm.

This reverts commit 846ae41ae9.

Alex Deucher 7819678fae drm/radeon/cik: plug in missing blit callback
I implemented support for this, but forget to hook
up the callback so the driver can actually use it.
On asics with a dedicated DMA engine, we use the DMA
engine for buffer migration so this is just for testing
purposes.

Alex Deucher 8333f0fe13 drm/radeon: Fix sideport problems on certain RS690 boards
Some RS690 boards with 64MB of sideport memory show up as
having 128MB sideport + 256MB of UMA. In this case,
just skip the sideport memory and use UMA. This fixes
rendering corruption and should improve performance.

Lv Zheng 8b48463f89 ACPI: Clean up inclusions of ACPI header files
Replace direct inclusions of <acpi/acpi.h>, <acpi/acpi_bus.h> and
<acpi/acpi_drivers.h>, which are incorrect, with <linux/acpi.h>
inclusions and remove some inclusions of those files that aren't
necessary.

First of all, <acpi/acpi.h>, <acpi/acpi_bus.h> and <acpi/acpi_drivers.h>
should not be included directly from any files that are built for
CONFIG_ACPI unset, because that generally leads to build warnings about
undefined symbols in !CONFIG_ACPI builds. For CONFIG_ACPI set,
<linux/acpi.h> includes those files and for CONFIG_ACPI unset it
provides stub ACPI symbols to be used in that case.

Second, there are ordering dependencies between those files that always
have to be met. Namely, it is required that <acpi/acpi_bus.h> be included
prior to <acpi/acpi_drivers.h> so that the acpi_pci_root declarations the
latter depends on are always there. And <acpi/acpi.h> which provides
basic ACPICA type declarations should always be included prior to any other
ACPI headers in CONFIG_ACPI builds. That also is taken care of including
<linux/acpi.h> as appropriate.

Rafael J. Wysocki 7b1998116b ACPI / driver core: Store an ACPI device pointer in struct acpi_dev_node
Modify struct acpi_dev_node to contain a pointer to struct acpi_device
associated with the given device object (that is, its ACPI companion
device) instead of an ACPI handle corresponding to it. Introduce two
new macros for manipulating that pointer in a CONFIG_ACPI-safe way,
ACPI_COMPANION() and ACPI_COMPANION_SET(), and rework the
ACPI_HANDLE() macro to take the above changes into account.
Drop the ACPI_HANDLE_SET() macro entirely and rework its users to
use ACPI_COMPANION_SET() instead. For some of them who used to
pass the result of acpi_get_child() directly to ACPI_HANDLE_SET()
introduce a helper routine acpi_preset_companion() doing an
equivalent thing.

The main motivation for doing this is that there are things
represented by struct acpi_device objects that don't have valid
ACPI handles (so called fixed ACPI hardware features, such as
power and sleep buttons) and we would like to create platform
device objects for them and "glue" them to their ACPI companions
in the usual way (which currently is impossible due to the
lack of valid ACPI handles). However, there are more reasons
why it may be useful.

First, struct acpi_device pointers allow of much better type checking
than void pointers which are ACPI handles, so it should be more
difficult to write buggy code using modified struct acpi_dev_node
and the new macros. Second, the change should help to reduce (over
time) the number of places in which the result of ACPI_HANDLE() is
passed to acpi_bus_get_device() in order to obtain a pointer to the
struct acpi_device associated with the given "physical" device,
because now that pointer is returned by ACPI_COMPANION() directly.
Finally, the change should make it easier to write generic code that
will build both for CONFIG_ACPI set and unset without adding explicit
compiler directives to it.

In order to have any realistic chance of calculating proper

The values were taken from the HDMI spec, but they assumed
exact x/1.001 clocks. Since we round the clocks, we also need
to calculate different N and CTS values.

Note that the N for 25.2/1.001 MHz at 44.1 kHz audio is out of
spec. Hopefully this mode is rarely used and/or HDMI sinks
tolerate overly large values of N.

To plug the VRAM memory leak (see previous patch for

Ilija Hadzic 75b871e2d8 drm/radeon/kms: unpin fb in atombios crtc disable
When drm_helper_disable_unused_functions calls disable
function of the CRTC, it also sets the crtc->fb pointer
to NULL. This can later (when the mode on that CRTC is setup
again from user space) cause ***_do_set_base functions to
"think" that there is no old buffer and skip the unpinning
code. Consequently, the buffer that has been NULL-ified in
drm_helper_disable_unused_functions will never be unpinned
causing a leak in VRAM.

This patch plugs the leak by unpinning the frame buffer
in crtc_disable function.

Anssi Hannula 0f57bca922 drm/radeon/audio: fix missing multichannel PCM SAD in some cases
The current code writing SADs to the audio registers seems to assume
that there is at most a single SAD per audio format.

However, that is not the case. Especially for PCM it is somewhat common
for sinks to have two SADs, one for 8-channel and one for 2-channel
audio, which may have different supported sample rates (i.e. the sink
supports stereo audio at higher sample rates than multichannel audio).

Because of this, only the 2-channel SAD may be used if it appears before
the 8-channel SAD. Unless other SADs require otherwise, this may cause
the ALSA HDA driver to allow stereo playback only.

Fix the code to pick the PCM SAD with the highest number of channels,
while merging the rate masks of PCM SADs with lower amount of channels
into the additional stereo rate mask byte.

Technically there are even more cases to handle (multiple non-PCM SADs
of the same type, more than two PCM SADs with varying channel counts,
etc), but those have not actually been encountered in the field and
handling them would be non-trivial.

Example affected EDID from Onkyo TX-SR674 specifying 192kHz stereo
support and 96kHz 8-channel support (and other 8-channel compressed
formats):

Dave Airlie 91915260ea Merge tag 'drm-intel-fixes-2013-11-07' of git://people.freedesktop.org/~danvet/drm-intel into drm-next
Bit a bit -fixes pull request in the merge window than usual dua to two
feauture-y things:
- Display CRCs are now enabled on all platforms, including the odd DP case
on gm45/vlv. Since this is a testing-only feature it should ever hurt,
but I figured it'll help with regression-testing -fixes. So I left it
in and didn't postpone it to 3.14.
- Display power well refactoring from Imre. Would have caused major pain
conflict with the bdw stage 1 patches if I'd postpone this to -next.
It's only an relatively small interface rework, so shouldn't cause pain.
It's also been in my tree since almost 3 weeks already.

That accounts for about two thirds of the pull, otherwise just bugfixes:
- vlv backlight fix from Jesse/Jani
- vlv vblank timestamp fix from Jesse
- improved edp detection through vbt from Ville (fixes a vlv issue)
- eDP vdd fix from Paulo
- fixes for dvo lvds on i830M
- a few smaller things all over

Note: This contains a backmerge of v3.12. Since the -internal branch
always applied on top of -nightly I need that unified base to merge bdw
patches. So you'll get a conflict with radeon connector props when pulling
this (and nouveau/master will also conflict a bit when Ben doesn't
rebase). The backmerge itself only had conflicts in drm/i915.

There's also a tiny conflict between Jani's backlight fix and your sysfs
lifetime fix in drm-next.

Daniel Vetter 7f16e5c141 Merge tag 'v3.12' into drm-intel-next
I want to merge in the new Broadwell support as a late hw enabling
pull request. But since the internal branch was based upon our
drm-intel-nightly integration branch I need to resolve all the
oustanding conflicts in drm/i915 with a backmerge to make the 60+
patches apply properly.

We'll propably have some fun because Linus will come up with a
slightly different merge solution.

Conflicts:
	drivers/gpu/drm/i915/i915_dma.c
	drivers/gpu/drm/i915/i915_drv.c
	drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_crt.c
	drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_ddi.c
	drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_display.c
	drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_dp.c
	drivers/gpu/drm/i915/intel_drv.h

All rather simple adjacent lines changed or partial backports from
-next to -fixes, with the exception of the thaw code in i915_dma.c.
That one needed a bit of shuffling to restore the intent.

Oh and the massive header file reordering in intel_drv.h is a bit
trouble. But not much.

v2: Also don't forget the fixup for the silent conflict that results
in compile fail ...

How does the patch below look?
8<-------
Allocate and copy all kernel memory before doing reservations. This prevents a locking
inversion between mmap_sem and reservation_class, and allows us to drop the trylocking
in ttm_bo_vm_fault without upsetting lockdep.

Dave Airlie 5bdebb183c drm/sysfs: sort out minor and connector device object lifetimes.
So drm was abusing device lifetimes, by having embedded device structures
in the minor and connector it meant that the lifetime of the internal drm
objects (drm_minor and drm_connector) were tied to the lifetime of the device
files in sysfs, so if something kept those files opened the current code
would kfree the objects and things would go downhill from there.

Now in reality there is no need for these lifetimes to be so intertwined,
especailly with hotplugging of devices where we wish to remove the sysfs
and userspace facing pieces before we can unwind the internal objects due
to open userspace files or mmaps, so split the objects out so the struct
device is no longer embedded and do what fbdev does and just allocate
and remove the sysfs inodes separately.

Alex Deucher 108dc8e8b4 drm/radeon: rework audio option
In 3.12 I changed audio to be enabled by default,
but you still had to turn it on via xrandr. This
was confusing to users so change it to minic the
previous behavior:

- audio option is set to -1 (auto) by default which is
the current 3.12 behavior (audio is enabled but requires
  xrandr to turn it on).
- if audio = 1, the audio is enabled without needing
to mess with xrandr (previous behavior)
- audio = 0 disables audio

It retains the new feature of allowing the user to enable
audio on the fly with xrandr, but turns audio on
automatically if radeon.audio=1 is set which is what
most users expect.

Alex Deucher 91f3a6aaf2 drm/radeon/atom: workaround vbios bug in transmitter table on rs880 (v2)
The OUTPUT_ENABLE action jumps past the point in the coder where
the data_offset is set on certain rs780 cards. This worked
previously because the OUTPUT_ENABLE action is always called
immediately after the ENABLE action so the data_offset remained
set. In 6f8bbaf568c7f2c497558bfd04654c0b9841ad57
(drm/radeon/atom: initialize more atom interpretor elements to 0),
we explictly reset data_offset to 0 between atom calls which then
caused this to fail. The fix is to just skip calling the
OUTPUT_ENABLE action on the problematic chipsets. The ENABLE
action does the same thing and more. Ultimately, we could
probably drop the OUTPUT_ENABLE action all together on DCE3
asics.

Alex Deucher 1b9ba70a49 drm/radeon/r6xx: add a stubbed out set_uvd_clocks callback
Certain r6xx boards use the same power state for both UVD
and other things. Since we don't support UVD on r6xx boards
at the moment, there was no callback installed for setting
the UVD clocks, however, on systems that use the same power
state, this leads to a NULL pointer dereference. Fill
in a stubbed out implementation for now to avoid the crash.

Dan Carpenter 8c5c6fad61 drm/radeon: signedness bug in kv_dpm.c
The problem here is that "unsigned i" is always greater than or equal to
zero. These loops mostly have a second check for "(i == 0)" so only the
last two are actually buggy. The rest is just cleanup.

Bug 1:  kv_force_dpm_highest() doesn't have an "(i == 0)" check so it's
a potential forever loop.

Bug 2: In kv_get_sleep_divider_id_from_clock() there is a typo and the
test is reversed "<=" vs ">" so we never enter the loop. That means
normally we return KV_MAX_DEEPSLEEP_DIVIDER_ID (5). The return value
from here is saved in ->DeepSleepDivId and I wasn't able to determine
how that is used. This is a static checker fix and I have not tested
it.
