Alexander Duyck 3025a446b6 igb: Allocate rings seperately instead of as a block
This change makes it so that the rings are allocated seperately.  As a
result we can allocate them on seperate nodes at some point in the future
if we so desire.

Nick Nunley 3145535ac6 igb: Report link status in ethtool when interface is down
With this change ethtool will correctly report link status when
the interface is down. Currently ethtool reports the link as not
detected when the interface is down.

Alexander Duyck 58b8b04250 igb: check both function bits in status register in wol exception
The ethtool code for enabling Wake on Lan was not correctly checking the
status register bits so as a result ports 0 and 2 were both being allowed
to set WOL to enabled even though it is only supported on the first port
for our adapters.

Alexander Duyck 128e45eb61 igb: Rework how netdev->stats is handled
This patch does some refactoring work that I felt was needed after reviewing
the changes recently submitted relating to the replacement of net_stats with
netdev->stats.

This patch essentially creates two different collections of stats.  The
first handles the adapter specific states and is stored in gstring_stats,
and the second is for netdev specific stats and is stored in
gstring_net_stats.

Alexander Duyck d7ee5b3a78 igb: re-use ring configuration code in ethtool testing
Since all of the ring code is now specific to the ring instead of the adapter
struct it is possible to cut a large section of code out of the ethtool
testing configuraiton since we can just use the existing functions to
configure the rings.

Alexander Duyck 85ad76b2f9 igb: add a flags value to the ring
This patch adds a flags value to the ring that cleans up some of the last
remaining items from the ring in order to help seperate it from the adapter
struct.  By implementing these flags it becomes possible for different rings
to support different functions such as rx checksumming.

Alexander Duyck 04a5fcaaf0 igb: move alloc_failed and csum_err stats into per rx-ring stat
The allocation failed and checksum error stats are currently kept as a
global stat.  If we end up allocating the queues to multiple netdevs then
the global counter doesn't make much sense.  For this reason I felt it
necessary to move the alloc_rx_buff_failed stat into the rx_stats
portion of the rx_ring.

Alexander Duyck 094919a4b0 igb: remove rx checksum good counter
Counting packets with a good checksum can cause a significant amount of cache
line bouncing due to the shared counter being written to by all of the queues.
In order to avoid this I am removing the counter since we still have the
checksum failed counter which will tell us if there are any issues.

Alexander Duyck 047e0030f1 igb: add new data structure for handling interrupts and NAPI
Add a new igb_q_vector data structure to handle interrupts and NAPI.  This
helps to abstract the rings away from the adapter struct.  In addition it
allows for a bit of consolidation since a tx and rx ring can share a
q_vector.

Alexander Duyck 6d9f4fc420 igb: fix memory leak when setting ring size while interface is down
Changing ring sizes while the interface was down was causing a double
allocation of the receive and transmit rings.  This issue is amplified when
there are multiple rings enabled.  To prevent this we need to add an
additional check which will just update the ring counts when the interface
is not up and skip the allocation steps.

Alexander Duyck dcc3ae9a52 igb: remove media type fiber as it is misleading
The current igb driver only supports copper and serdes.  The fiber media
type is a holdover from earlier NICs as the current nics supported by igb
all use serdes when communicating over a fiber connection.  As a result we
can remove media type fiber without losing any functionality.

Jesper Dangaard Brouer 3ea73afafb igb: Record host memory receive overflow in net_stats
Based on previous patch from Jesper Dangaard Brouer.

The RNBC (Receive No Buffers Count) register for the 82576, indicate
that frames were received when there were no available buffers in host
memory to store those frames (receive descriptor head and tail
pointers were equal).  The packet is still received by the NIC if
there is space in the FIFO on the NIC.

As the RNBC value is not a packet drop, the driver stores this value
in net_stats.rx_fifo_errors to indicate that there were no system
buffers available for the incoming packet.  Actual dropped packets
are counted in the MPC value.

Saving the stats in dev->net_stats makes it visible via
/proc/net/dev as "fifo", and thus viewable to ifconfig
as "overruns" and 'netstat -i' as "RX-OVR".

The Receive No Buffers Count (RNBC) can already be queried by
ethtool -S as "rx_no_buffer_count".

Jesper Dangaard Brouer 8c0ab70ab9 igb: Implement reading of reg RQDPC (Receive Queue Drop Packet Count)
Based on the previous patches from Jesper Dangaard Brouer <hawk@comx.dk>

Implement reading the per queue drop stats register
RQDPC (Receive Queue Drop Packet Count).  It counts the number of
packets dropped by a queue due to lack of descriptors available.

Notice RQDPC (Receive Queue Drop Packet Count) stats only gets
incremented, if the DROP_EN bit it set (in the SRRCTL register
for that queue).  If DROP_EN bit is NOT set, then the some what
equivalent count is stored in RNBC (not per queue basis).

The RQDPC register is only 12 bit, thus the precision might
suffer due to overrun in-netween the watchdog polling interval.

Alexander Duyck 7beb0146fc igb/igbvf: set rx csum always enabled in hw, disable via sw
An issue was found in which rx checksum could not be enabled without
resetting the interface.  The issue was the hardware enable was not being
done via ethtool.  To resolve this issue and prevent conflicts with VF
configuration we will leave the feature always enabled in hardware, and
then in software we will choose to ignore the results via a sw flag.

Thanks go to Vlad for starting this work.

Intel 82576 chipset supports SCTP checksum offloading.  This
patch enables this functionality in the driver.  A new NETIF
feature is introduced for SCTP checksum offload.  If the driver
supports CRC32c checksum, it can set this feature flag.  The
hardware can offload both transmit and receive.

Herbert Xu 5c0999b72b igb: Replace LRO with GRO
This patch makes igb invoke the GRO hooks instead of LRO.  As
GRO has a compatible external interface to LRO this is a very
straightforward replacement.

Three things of note:

1) I've kept the LRO Kconfig option until we decide to enable
GRO across the board at which point it can also be killed.

2) The poll_controller stuff is broken in igb as it tries to do
the same work as the normal poll routine.  Since poll_controller
can be called in the middle of a poll, this can't be good.

I noticed this because poll_controller can invoke the GRO hooks
without flushing held GRO packets.

However, this should be harmless (assuming the poll_controller
bug above doesn't kill you first :) since the next ->poll will
clear the backlog.  The only time when we'll have a problem is
if we're already executing the GRO code on the same ring, but
that's no worse than what happens now.

3) I kept the ip_summed check before calling GRO so that we're
on par with previous behaviour.

Alexander Duyck 5e8427e5e2 igb: Correctly determine pci-e function number in virtual environment
When running in a virtual environment the ports of an 82575/6 can appear to
be single function devices which is not correct.  To resolve this we rely
on the function number stored in the status register.

Alexander Duyck 69d728baf6 igb: loopback bits not correctly cleared from RCTL register
This change forces the bits to 0 by using an &= operation with an inverted
mask of all options instead of using an |= with a value of 0.
