Liu Ying 67d0109fb7 drm: lcdif: Add i.MX93 LCDIF compatible string
With all previous preparations done to make it possible for the
single LCDIF embedded in i.MX93 SoC to drive multiple displays
simultaneously, add i.MX93 LCDIF compatible string as the last
step of adding i.MX93 LCDIF support.

Liu Ying dbb32d8564 drm: lcdif: Add multiple encoders and first bridges support
The single LCDIF embedded in i.MX93 SoC may drive multiple displays
simultaneously. Look at LCDIF output port's remote port parents to
find all enabled first bridges. Add an encoder for each found bridge
and attach the bridge to the encoder. This is a preparation for
adding i.MX93 LCDIF support.

Liu Ying 5befcdcaf0 drm: lcdif: Determine bus format and flags in ->atomic_check()
Instead of determining LCDIF output bus format and bus flags in
->atomic_enable(), do that in ->atomic_check(). This is a
preparation for the upcoming patch to check consistent bus format
and bus flags across all first downstream bridges in ->atomic_check().
New lcdif_crtc_state structure is introduced to cache bus format

drm/mxsfb: improve clk handling for axi clk
Ignoring errors from devm_clk_get() is wrong. To handle not all platforms
having an axi clk use devm_clk_get_optional() instead and do proper error
handling.

Also the clk API handles NULL as a dummy clk (which is also returned by
devm_clk_get_optional() if there is no clk) so there is no need to check
for NULL before calling clk_prepare_enable() or its counter part.

Marek Vasut e3cac8f774 drm: lcdif: Set and enable FIFO Panic threshold
In case the LCDIFv3 is used to drive a 4k panel via i.MX8MP HDMI bridge,
the LCDIFv3 becomes susceptible to FIFO underflows, these lead to nasty
flicker of the image on the panel, or image being shifted by half frame
horizontally every second frame. The flicker can be easily triggered by
running 3D application on top of weston compositor, like neverball or
chromium. Surprisingly glmark2-es2-wayland or glmark2-es2-drm does not
trigger this effect so easily.

Configure the FIFO Panic threshold register and enable the FIFO Panic
mode, which internally boosts the NoC interconnect priority for LCDIFv3
transactions in case of possible underflow. This mitigates the flicker
effect on 4k panels as well.

Laurent Pinchart ec39dee8b2 drm: lcdif: Switch to limited range for RGB to YUV conversion
Up to and including v1.3, HDMI supported limited quantization range only
for YCbCr. HDMI v1.4 introduced selectable quantization ranges, but this
feature isn't supported in the dw-hdmi driver that is used in
conjunction with the LCDIF in the i.MX8MP. The HDMI YCbCr output is thus
always advertised in the AVI infoframe as limited range.

The LCDIF driver, on the other hand, configures the CSC to produce full
range YCbCr. This mismatch results in loss of details and incorrect
colours. Fix it by switching to limited range YCbCr.

The coefficients are copied from drivers/media/platforms/nxp/imx-pxp.c
for coherency, as the hardware is most likely identical.

Danilo Krummrich 8c30eecc67 drm/gem: rename struct drm_gem_dma_object.{paddr => dma_addr}
The field paddr of struct drm_gem_dma_object holds a DMA address, which
might actually be a physical address. However, depending on the platform,
it can also be a bus address or a virtual address managed by an IOMMU.

Hence, rename the field to dma_addr, which is more applicable.

In order to do this renaming the following coccinelle script was used:

```
	@@
	struct drm_gem_dma_object *gem;
	@@
	- gem->paddr
	+ gem->dma_addr
	@@
	struct drm_gem_dma_object gem;
	typedef dma_addr_t;
	symbol paddr;
	dma_addr_t paddr;
	<...
	- paddr
	+ dma_addr
	...>
	@@
	symbol paddr;
	@@
	dma_addr_t
	- paddr
	+ dma_addr
	;
```

This patch is compile-time tested with:

```
	make ARCH={x86_64,arm,arm64} allyesconfig
	make ARCH={x86_64,arm,arm64} drivers/gpu/drm`
```

Danilo Krummrich 4a83c26a1d drm/gem: rename GEM CMA helpers to GEM DMA helpers
Rename "GEM CMA" helpers to "GEM DMA" helpers - considering the
hierarchy of APIs (mm/cma -> dma -> gem dma) calling them "GEM
DMA" seems to be more applicable.

Besides that, commit e57924d4ae ("drm/doc: Task to rename CMA helpers")
requests to rename the CMA helpers and implies that people seem to be
confused about the naming.

In order to do this renaming the following script was used:

```
	#!/bin/bash
	DIRS="drivers/gpu include/drm Documentation/gpu"
	REGEX_SYM_UPPER="[0-9A-Z_\-]"
	REGEX_SYM_LOWER="[0-9a-z_\-]"
	REGEX_GREP_UPPER="(${REGEX_SYM_UPPER}*)(GEM)_CMA_(${REGEX_SYM_UPPER}*)"
	REGEX_GREP_LOWER="(${REGEX_SYM_LOWER}*)(gem)_cma_(${REGEX_SYM_LOWER}*)"
	REGEX_SED_UPPER="s/${REGEX_GREP_UPPER}/\1\2_DMA_\3/g"
	REGEX_SED_LOWER="s/${REGEX_GREP_LOWER}/\1\2_dma_\3/g"
	# Find all upper case 'CMA' symbols and replace them with 'DMA'.
	for ff in $(grep -REHl "${REGEX_GREP_UPPER}" $DIRS)
	do
	       sed -i -E "$REGEX_SED_UPPER" $ff
	done
	# Find all lower case 'cma' symbols and replace them with 'dma'.
	for ff in $(grep -REHl "${REGEX_GREP_LOWER}" $DIRS)
	do
	       sed -i -E "$REGEX_SED_LOWER" $ff
	done
	# Replace all occurrences of 'CMA' / 'cma' in comments and
	# documentation files with 'DMA' / 'dma'.
	for ff in $(grep -RiHl " cma " $DIRS)
	do
		sed -i -E "s/ cma / dma /g" $ff
		sed -i -E "s/ CMA / DMA /g" $ff
	done
	# Rename all 'cma_obj's to 'dma_obj'.
	for ff in $(grep -RiHl "cma_obj" $DIRS)
	do
		sed -i -E "s/cma_obj/dma_obj/g" $ff
	done
```

Only a few more manual modifications were needed, e.g. reverting the
following modifications in some DRM Kconfig files

    -       select CMA if HAVE_DMA_CONTIGUOUS
    +       select DMA if HAVE_DMA_CONTIGUOUS

as well as manually picking the occurrences of 'CMA'/'cma' in comments and
documentation which relate to "GEM CMA", but not "FB CMA".

Also drivers/gpu/drm/Makefile was fixed up manually after renaming
drm_gem_cma_helper.c to drm_gem_dma_helper.c.

This patch is compile-time tested building a x86_64 kernel with
`make allyesconfig && make drivers/gpu/drm`.

Rename "FB CMA" helpers to "FB DMA" helpers - considering the hierarchy
of APIs (mm/cma -> dma -> fb dma) calling them "FB DMA" seems to be
more applicable.

Besides that, commit e57924d4ae ("drm/doc: Task to rename CMA helpers")
requests to rename the CMA helpers and implies that people seem to be
confused about the naming.

In order to do this renaming the following script was used:

```
	#!/bin/bash
	DIRS="drivers/gpu include/drm Documentation/gpu"
	REGEX_SYM_UPPER="[0-9A-Z_\-]"
	REGEX_SYM_LOWER="[0-9a-z_\-]"
	REGEX_GREP_UPPER="(${REGEX_SYM_UPPER}*)(FB)_CMA_(${REGEX_SYM_UPPER}*)"
	REGEX_GREP_LOWER="(${REGEX_SYM_LOWER}*)(fb)_cma_(${REGEX_SYM_LOWER}*)"
	REGEX_SED_UPPER="s/${REGEX_GREP_UPPER}/\1\2_DMA_\3/g"
	REGEX_SED_LOWER="s/${REGEX_GREP_LOWER}/\1\2_dma_\3/g"
	# Find all upper case 'CMA' symbols and replace them with 'DMA'.
	for ff in $(grep -REHl "${REGEX_GREP_UPPER}" $DIRS)
	do
	       sed -i -E "$REGEX_SED_UPPER" $ff
	done
	# Find all lower case 'cma' symbols and replace them with 'dma'.
	for ff in $(grep -REHl "${REGEX_GREP_LOWER}" $DIRS)
	do
	       sed -i -E "$REGEX_SED_LOWER" $ff
	done
	# Replace all occurrences of 'CMA' / 'cma' in comments and
	# documentation files with 'DMA' / 'dma'.
	for ff in $(grep -RiHl " cma " $DIRS)
	do
		sed -i -E "s/ cma / dma /g" $ff
		sed -i -E "s/ CMA / DMA /g" $ff
	done
```

Only a few more manual modifications were needed, e.g. reverting the
following modifications in some DRM Kconfig files

    -       select CMA if HAVE_DMA_CONTIGUOUS
    +       select DMA if HAVE_DMA_CONTIGUOUS

as well as manually picking the occurrences of 'CMA'/'cma' in comments and
documentation which relate to "FB CMA", but not "GEM CMA".

This patch is compile-time tested building a x86_64 kernel with
`make allyesconfig && make drivers/gpu/drm`.

Marek Vasut 05ecc67835 drm: mxsfb: Implement LCDIF scanout CRC32 support
The LCDIF controller as present in i.MX28/i.MX6SX/i.MX8M Mini/Nano has
CRC_STAT register, which contains CRC32 of the frame as it was clocked
out of the DPI interface of the LCDIF. This is most likely meant as a
functional safety feature.

Unfortunately, there is zero documentation on how the CRC32 is calculated,
there is no documentation of the polynomial, the init value, nor on which
data is the checksum applied.

By applying brute-force on 8 pixel / 2 line frame, which is the minimum
size LCDIF would work with, it turns out the polynomial is CRC32_POLY_LE
0xedb88320 , init value is 0xffffffff , the input data are bitrev32()
of the entire frame and the resulting CRC has to be also bitrev32()ed.

Doing this calculation in kernel for each frame is unrealistic due to the
CPU demand, so attach the CRC collected from hardware to a frame instead.
The DRM subsystem already has an interface for this purpose and the CRC
can be accessed e.g. via debugfs:
"
$ echo auto > /sys/kernel/debug/dri/1/crtc-0/crc/control
$ cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/1/crtc-0/crc/data
0x0000408c 0xa4e5cdd8
0x0000408d 0x72f537b4
"
The per-frame CRC can be used by userspace e.g. during automated testing,
to verify that whatever buffer was sent to be scanned out was actually
scanned out of the LCDIF correctly.

Link drm_fb_cma_helper.o into drm_cma_helper.ko if CONFIG_DRM_KMS_HELPER

KMS helpers and CMA will now automatically enable CMA KMS helpers.

Some drivers' Kconfig files did not correctly select KMS or CMA helpers.

Marek Vasut 3cfc183052 drm: mxsfb: Fix NULL pointer dereference crash on unload
The mxsfb->crtc.funcs may already be NULL when unloading the driver,
in which case calling mxsfb_irq_disable() via drm_irq_uninstall() from
mxsfb_unload() leads to NULL pointer dereference.

Since all we care about is masking the IRQ and mxsfb->base is still
valid, just use that to clear and mask the IRQ.

Thomas Zimmermann 5fc40f41c1 drm/mxsfb: Convert to Linux IRQ interfaces
Drop the DRM IRQ midlayer in favor of Linux IRQ interfaces. DRM's
IRQ helpers are mostly useful for UMS drivers. Modern KMS drivers
don't benefit from using it.

DRM IRQ callbacks are now being called directly or inlined.

Calls to platform_get_irq() can fail with a negative errno code.
Abort initialization in this case. The DRM IRQ midlayer does not
handle this case correctly.
