Alex Deucher bb5abf9f64 drm/radeon/dpm: remove unnecessary checks in dpm_init
No need to check rdev->pm.num_power_states; this is a vestige
of the old pm code.

Sergey Senozhatsky e4158f1b10 radeon_pm: fix oops in hwmon_attributes_visible() and radeon_hwmon_show_temp_thresh()
Since commit ec39f64bba ("drm/radeon/dpm: Convert to use
devm_hwmon_register_with_groups") radeon_hwmon_init() is using
hwmon_device_register_with_groups(), which sets `rdev' as a device
private driver_data, while hwmon_attributes_visible() and
radeon_hwmon_show_temp_thresh() are still waiting for `drm_device'.

Fix them by using dev_get_drvdata(), in order to avoid this oops:

Dave Airlie 91915260ea Merge tag 'drm-intel-fixes-2013-11-07' of git://people.freedesktop.org/~danvet/drm-intel into drm-next
Bit a bit -fixes pull request in the merge window than usual dua to two
feauture-y things:
- Display CRCs are now enabled on all platforms, including the odd DP case
  on gm45/vlv. Since this is a testing-only feature it should ever hurt,
  but I figured it'll help with regression-testing -fixes. So I left it
  in and didn't postpone it to 3.14.
- Display power well refactoring from Imre. Would have caused major pain
  conflict with the bdw stage 1 patches if I'd postpone this to -next.
  It's only an relatively small interface rework, so shouldn't cause pain.
  It's also been in my tree since almost 3 weeks already.

That accounts for about two thirds of the pull, otherwise just bugfixes:
- vlv backlight fix from Jesse/Jani
- vlv vblank timestamp fix from Jesse
- improved edp detection through vbt from Ville (fixes a vlv issue)
- eDP vdd fix from Paulo
- fixes for dvo lvds on i830M
- a few smaller things all over

Note: This contains a backmerge of v3.12. Since the -internal branch
always applied on top of -nightly I need that unified base to merge bdw
patches. So you'll get a conflict with radeon connector props when pulling
this (and nouveau/master will also conflict a bit when Ben doesn't
rebase). The backmerge itself only had conflicts in drm/i915.

There's also a tiny conflict between Jani's backlight fix and your sysfs
lifetime fix in drm-next.

Mario Kleiner d47abc585d drm/radeon: Push get_scanout_position() timestamping into kms driver.
Move the ktime_get() clock readouts and potential preempt_disable()
calls from drm core into kms driver to make it compatible with the
api changes in the drm core.

This should not introduce any change in functionality or behaviour
in radeon-kms, just a reshuffling of code.

Alex Deucher 360991867d drm/radeon: don't set default clocks for SI when DPM is disabled
This is a partial revert of c6cf7777a3.

We need to take into account the clk voltage dependencies of the
board. Not doing so can lead to stability issues on certain
boards if the clks exceed the levels in the dep tables.

DPM already takes that into account, so for optimal performance,
use DPM.

Alex Deucher edcaa5b125 drm/radeon: add support for 3d perf states on older asics
Certain older rv770 asics have both a performance and
a 3D performance state rather than just multiple performance
levels in the state power state. The current code would
select the performance state rather than the 3D performance
state when the "performance" profile was selected. This change
switches to the "balanced" profile by default which ends up being
the internal performance profile. When the user selects the
"performance" profile, it selects the internal 3D performance
state so the user can select the higher performance modes.

For most asics this changes nothing. For certain rv770 asics
with static performance and 3D performance states, this allows
you to select between then using by selecting the "balanced"
and "performance" dpm profiles.

Linus Torvalds 612a9aab56 Merge branch 'drm-next' of git://people.freedesktop.org/~airlied/linux
Pull drm merge (part 1) from Dave Airlie:
 "So first of all my tree and uapi stuff has a conflict mess, its my
  fault as the nouveau stuff didn't hit -next as were trying to rebase
  regressions out of it before we merged.

  Highlights:
   - SH mobile modesetting driver and associated helpers
   - some DRM core documentation
   - i915 modesetting rework, haswell hdmi, haswell and vlv fixes, write
     combined pte writing, ilk rc6 support,
   - nouveau: major driver rework into a hw core driver, makes features
     like SLI a lot saner to implement,
   - psb: add eDP/DP support for Cedarview
   - radeon: 2 layer page tables, async VM pte updates, better PLL
     selection for > 2 screens, better ACPI interactions

  The rest is general grab bag of fixes.

  So why part 1? well I have the exynos pull req which came in a bit
  late but was waiting for me to do something they shouldn't have and it
  looks fairly safe, and David Howells has some more header cleanups
  he'd like me to pull, that seem like a good idea, but I'd like to get
  this merge out of the way so -next dosen't get blocked."

Tons of conflicts mostly due to silly include line changes, but mostly
mindless. A few other small semantic conflicts too, noted from Dave's
pre-merged branch.

Drop dev_priv->wq and use system_wq instead.

Because radeon_driver_irq_uninstall_kms() may be called from

Instead, init and flush from radeon_irq_kms_init/fini().

While at it, simplify canceling/flushing of rdev->pm.dynpm_idle_work.

Mario Kleiner f5a8020903 drm/kms/radeon: Add support for precise vblank timestamping.
This patch adds new functions for use by the drm core:

.get_vblank_timestamp() provides a precise timestamp
for the end of the most recent (or current) vblank
interval of a given crtc, as needed for the DRI2
implementation of the OML_sync_control extension.

It is a thin wrapper around the drm function
drm_calc_vbltimestamp_from_scanoutpos() which does
almost all the work and is shared across drivers.

.get_scanout_position() provides the current horizontal
and vertical video scanout position and "in vblank"
status of a given crtc, as needed by the drm for use by
drm_calc_vbltimestamp_from_scanoutpos().

The function is also used by the dynamic gpu reclocking
code to determine when it is safe to reclock inside vblank.

For that purpose radeon_pm_in_vbl() is modified to
accomodate a small change in the function prototype of
the radeon_get_crtc_scanoutpos() which is hooked up to
.get_scanout_position().

This code has been tested on AVIVO hardware, a RV530
(ATI Mobility Radeon X1600) in a Intel Core-2 Duo MacBookPro

Mario Kleiner 75fa0b08e5 drm/radeon: Modify radeon_pm_in_vbl to use radeon_get_crtc_scanoutpos()
radeon_pm_in_vbl() didn't report in vblank status accurately. Make
it a wrapper around radeon_get_crtc_scanoutpos() which corrects for
biases, so it reports accurately.

radeon_pm_in_vbl() will only report in_vbl if all active crtc's
are currently inside vblank.

agd5f: use rdev->num_crtc rather than hardcoding the crtc count

Alex Deucher 12acd90f0b drm/radeon/kms: remove stray radeon_i2c_destroy
I missed this one in the i2c unification patch. This
is handled in the core radeon i2c code now.

Alex Deucher 4e186b2d6c drm/radeon/kms/pm: bail early if nothing's changing
If we aren't changing the power state, no need to take
locks and schedule fences, etc.

There seem to be lock ordering issues in the CP and
fence code in some cases; see bug 29140 below.

Dan Carpenter 0d18abedfa radeon: handle errors in radeon_hwmon_init()
Smatch complained that the ERR_PTR from hwmon_device_register() wasn't
handled.  I added some error handling in radeon_hwmon_init() to silence
the warning.

Unfortunately errors from radeon_pm_init() aren't handled so this
doesn't really make a difference beyond silencing the warning.

Also I changed DRM_ERROR() to dev_err() which is the new preferred
method.
