Lukas Bulwahn 84aff0b690 mips: update config files
Clean up config files by:
  - removing configs that were deleted in the past
  - removing configs not in tree and without recently pending patches
  - adding new configs that are replacements for old configs in the file

For some detailed information, see Link.

Eric W. Biederman 61a47c1ad3 sysctl: Remove the sysctl system call
This system call has been deprecated almost since it was introduced, and
in a survey of the linux distributions I can no longer find any of them
that enable CONFIG_SYSCTL_SYSCALL. The only indication that I can find
that anyone might care is that a few of the defconfigs in the kernel
enable CONFIG_SYSCTL_SYSCALL. However this appears in only 31 of 414
defconfigs in the kernel, so I suspect this symbols presence is simply
because it is harmless to include rather than because it is necessary.

As there appear to be no users of the sysctl system call, remove the
code. As this removes one of the few uses of the internal kernel mount
of proc I hope this allows for even more simplifications of the proc
filesystem.

Jiri Pirko a51486266c net: sched: remove NET_CLS_IND config option
This config option makes only couple of lines optional.
Two small helpers and an int in couple of cls structs.

Remove the config option and always compile this in.
This saves the user from unexpected surprises when he adds
a filter with ingress device match which is silently ignored
in case the config option is not set.

MIPS: Regenerate defconfigs
A couple of patches have come up recently to remove particular instances
of obsolete Kconfig symbols from defconfigs. Rather than doing this
piecemeal, simply regenerate them all.

MIPS: Malta: Use PIIX4 poweroff driver to power down
Remove the platform code used to power down the system, instead relying
upon the new PIIX4 poweroff driver. This reduces the amount of platform
code required for the Malta board in preparation for allowing it to be
part of a more generic kernel.

Paul Burton 5cbf968803 MIPS: Make CONFIG_MIPS_MT_SMP default y
On systems that support MT ASE multithreading (ie. VPEs) we are very
likely to want to include that support as default. Rather than setting
it in various defconfigs, simply make CONFIG_MIPS_MT_SMP default y such
that systems which select CONFIG_SYS_SUPPORTS_MULTITHREADING get it by
default.

As well as allowing us to remove the selection of CONFIG_MIPS_MT_SMP
from various defconfigs, this also allows the generated generic
defconfigs which derive from generic_defconfig to automatically gain
support for MT ASE SMP when building for a suitable (pre-MIPSr6) ISA.

For malta_kvm_guest_defconfig CONFIG_MIPS_MT_SMP is explicitly disabled
since enabling SMP implicitly disables CONFIG_KVM_GUEST, which depends
on CONFIG_BROKEN_ON_SMP.

Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz b0b98ad9b5 MIPS: maltasmvp_eva_defconfig: Convert to use libata PATA drivers
IDE subsystem has been deprecated since 2009 and the majority
(if not all) of Linux distributions have switched to use
libata for ATA support exclusively. However there are still
some users (mostly old or/and embedded non-x86 systems) that
have not converted from using IDE subsystem to libata PATA
drivers. This doesn't seem to be good thing in the long-term
for Linux as while there is less and less PATA systems left
in use:

* testing efforts are divided between two subsystems

* having duplicate drivers for same hardware confuses users

This patch converts maltasmvp_eva_defconfig to use libata PATA
drivers.

Paul Burton 322014531e MIPS: Malta: CPS SMP by default
The CONFIG_MIPS_CPS SMP implementation should be able to handle all
cases the CONFIG_MIPS_CMP implementation does, but without requiring
bootloader assistance. It is also required in order to make use of
features such as hotplug & cpuidle core power gating. Enable it by
default for Malta configs that previously enabled the now deprecated
CONFIG_MIPS_CMP, and disable the latter. The local version suffix "cmp"
is removed rather than replaced with "cps" since there are other ways to
tell that the CPS SMP implementation is in use (the "VPE topology" line
in the boot log being one).
