Somnath Kotur 3904dcc4a7 be2net: Trim padded packets for Lancer
For padded packets, Lancer computes incorrect checksum. The workaround is
to trim such packets. This workaround is mainly for IPv4 packets.

Somnath Kotur 48265667a7 be2net: Pad skb to meet min Tx pkt size in lancer
In Lancer, packets that are 32 bytes or less may cause a transmit stall.
The work-around is to pad such packets to a 36 byte length.

Yuval Mintz 3fb43eb20a bnx2x: Change to D3hot only on removal
This changes the PCI power management scheme of the bnx2x driver to be similar
to those of most network drivers - the driver will now changes the power state
into D3hot whenever the driver will be removed, instead of whenever an
interface is unloaded.

This change enables the driver to access its eeprom via ethtool callbacks
even when interfaces are unloaded (such access requires the function to be
in D0active).

Yuval Mintz b030ed2fdc bnx2x: Implement PCI shutdown
Implement the PCI shutdown callback to support un-orderly shutdown, i.e.,
shutdowns in which the remove callback will not be called.

Due to the lack of this functionality, when an un-orderly shutdown occurred,
it was possible for wake-on-lan to remain disabled.

This is now fixed as the callback introduces the correct place in which
`system_state' can be queried and wake-on-lan be configured accordingly.

Dmitry Kravkov 868001946e bnx2x: Count number of possible FCoE interfaces
Commit 0eb43b4bb0
"bnx2x, bnx2fc: Use per port max exchange resources" has changed the number
of available FCoE exchanges, even in scenarios when some of the functions has
no FCoE support; This needlessly degraded the available resources.

Remedy this by calculating the maximal number of functions that may actually
utilize said connection.

Jingoo Han 8513fbd880 net: ethernet: use platform_{get,set}_drvdata()
Use the wrapper functions for getting and setting the driver data using
platform_device instead of using dev_{get,set}_drvdata() with &pdev->dev,
so we can directly pass a struct platform_device.

Also, unnecessary dev_set_drvdata() is removed, because the driver core
clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure.

Wei Yang 950e2958a5 be2net: bug fix on returning an invalid nic descriptor
In function be_get_nic_desc(), it will go through the descriptor array
returned from f/w. By comparing the desc_type field, it determines whether
there is a nic descriptor in the array or not. In the case of no nic
descriptor, this function should return NULL.

The code may return an invalide descriptor, when there is no nic descriptor
in the array and the desc_count is less than MAX_RESOURCE_DESC. In this case,
even there is no nic descriptor, it will still return the lase descriptor
since the i doesn't equal to MAX_RESOURCE_DESC.

This patch fix this issue by returning the descriptor when find it and return
NULL for other cases.

Dmitry Kravkov 178135c116 bnx2x: Link-flap avoidance in switch dependent mode
As part of the previous unload flow, probed devices will reset the chip
in order to clean the remains of the UNDI driver.
As a result, it's possible for the FW to toggle the link.

This toggling can prove fatal, as long periods without link can cause the
filesystem mount to fail as the storage protocol timeouts. This has been
observed against particular switches with long link re-establishment time.

This patch informs FW during the reset period that the link should not
be toggled - the FW will keep it alive until some interface will load and claim
the link as its own.

Jason Wang e4166625ed virtio_net: enable napi for all possible queues during open
Commit 55257d72bd (virtio-net: fill only rx
queues which are being used) only does the napi enabling during open for
curr_queue_pairs. This will break multiqueue receiving since napi of new queues
were still disabled after changing the number of queues.

This patch fixes this by enabling napi for all possible queues during open.

Mark Rutland f123826189 net: smsc911x: don't artificially limit build
Currently the SMSC911X driver may only be built for a specific set of
architectures, being limited to do so by a Kconfig depends line. This
means that if a platform wishes to use the driver, its architecture must
be added to the list explicitly, introducing pointless churn.

This may have been due to the driver's use of the {read,write}s{b,w,l}
functions, which have since been replaced with the more standard
io{read,write}{8,16,32}_rep. We can instead depend on HAS_IOMEM, which
should prevent build issues while allowing the driver to be built for
currently unlisted architectures, including x86 and arm64.

This patch removes the explicit list of architectures from the driver's
depend line, and replaces it with a dependency on HAS_IOMEM.

Shawn Guo 3680354209 net: fec: use a more proper compatible string for MVF type device
MVF is a family while MVF600 is a particular SoC in the family. We
generally prefer to use SoC rather than family name in compatible string
to define a particular type of fec device. And this is how fec_dt_ids
works for all those IMX fec variants. Let's change mvf to mvf600 to
have it work in the same way.
