Prashant Malani a0c5814b99 platform/x86: intel_scu_ipc: Update timeout value in comment
The comment decribing the IPC timeout hadn't been updated when the
actual timeout was changed from 3 to 5 seconds in
commit a7d53dbbc7 ("platform/x86: intel_scu_ipc: Increase virtual
timeout from 3 to 5 seconds") .

Since the value is anyway updated to 10s now, take this opportunity to
update the value in the comment too.

Prashant Malani 5c02b581ce platform/x86: intel_scu_ipc: Increase virtual timeout to 10s
Commit a7d53dbbc7 ("platform/x86: intel_scu_ipc: Increase virtual
timeout from 3 to 5 seconds") states that the recommended timeout range
is 5-10 seconds. Adjust the timeout value to the higher of those i.e 10
seconds, to account for situations where the 5 seconds is insufficient
for disconnect command success.

Prashant Malani 41512e4dc0 platform/x86: intel_scu_ipc: Fix busy loop expiry time
The macro IPC_TIMEOUT is already in jiffies (it is also used like that
elsewhere in the file when calling wait_for_completion_timeout()). Don’t
convert it using helper functions for the purposes of calculating the
busy loop expiry time.

Vadim Pasternak 9b02420169 platform/mellanox: mlxreg-io: Fix argument base in kstrtou32() call
Change kstrtou32() argument 'base' to be zero instead of 'len'.
It works by chance for setting one bit value, but it is not supposed to
work in case value passed to mlxreg_io_attr_store() is greater than 1.

It works for example, for:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/platform/mlxplat/mlxreg-io/hwmon/.../jtag_enable
But it will fail for:
echo n > /sys/devices/platform/mlxplat/mlxreg-io/hwmon/.../jtag_enable,
where n > 1.

The flow for input buffer conversion is as below:
_kstrtoull(const char *s, unsigned int base, unsigned long long *res)
calls:
rv = _parse_integer(s, base, &_res);

For the second case, where n > 1:
- _parse_integer() converts 's' to 'val'.
  For n=2, 'len' is set to 2 (string buffer is 0x32 0x0a), for n=3
  'len' is set to 3 (string buffer 0x33 0x0a), etcetera.
- 'base' is equal or greater then '2' (length of input buffer).

As a result, _parse_integer() exits with result zero (rv):
	rv = 0;
	while (1) {
		...
		if (val >= base)-> (2 >= 2)
			break;
		...
		rv++;
		...
	}

And _kstrtoull() in their turn will fail:
	if (rv == 0)
		return -EINVAL;

Subbaraya Sundeep 0182d0788c octeontx2-pf: Simplify the receive buffer size calculation
This patch separates the logic of configuring hardware
maximum transmit frame size and receive frame size.
This simplifies the logic to calculate receive buffer
size and using cqe descriptor of different size.
Also additional size of skb_shared_info structure is
allocated for each receive buffer pointer given to
hardware which is not necessary. Hence change the
size calculation to remove the size of
skb_shared_info. Add a check for array out of
bounds while adding fragments to the network stack.

Li RongQing 6213f07cb5 virtio_net: skip RCU read lock by checking xdp_enabled of vi
networking benchmark shows that __rcu_read_lock and
__rcu_read_unlock takes some cpu cycles, and we can avoid
calling them partially in virtio rx path by check xdp_enabled
of vi, and xdp is disabled most of time

QCA8327 internal phy require DAC amplitude adjustement set to +6% with
100m speed. Also add additional define to report a change of the same
reg in QCA8337. (different scope it does set 1000m voltage)
Add link_change_notify function to set the proper amplitude adjustement
on PHY_RUNNING state and disable on any other state.

Ansuel Smith ba3c01ee02 net: phy: at803x: fix resume for QCA8327 phy
From Documentation phy resume triggers phy reset and restart
auto-negotiation. Add a dedicated function to wait reset to finish as
it was notice a regression where port sometime are not reliable after a
suspend/resume session. The reset wait logic is copied from phy_poll_reset.
Add dedicated suspend function to use genphy_suspend only with QCA8337
phy and set only additional debug settings for QCA8327. With more test
it was reported that QCA8327 doesn't proprely support this mode and
using this cause the unreliability of the switch ports, especially the
malfunction of the port0.

we add the vlan ids into the management.  The last 2 patches
allow us to catch the max vlan -ENOSPC error without adding
an unnecessary error message to the kernel log.

Shannon Nelson 8c9d956ab6 ionic: allow adminq requests to override default error message
The AdminQ handler has an error handler that automatically prints
an error message when the request has failed.  However, there are
situations where the caller can expect that it might fail and has
an alternative strategy, thus may not want the error message sent
to the log, such as hitting -ENOSPC when adding a new vlan id.

We add a new interface to the AdminQ API to allow for override of
the default behavior, and an interface to the use standard error
message formatting.

Vladimir Oltean 7932d53162 dt-bindings: net: dsa: document felix family in dsa-tag-protocol
The Vitesse/Microsemi/Microchip family of switches supported by the
Felix DSA driver is capable of selecting between the native tagging
protocol and ocelot-8021q. This is necessary to enable flow control on
the CPU port.

Certain systems where these switches are integrated use the switch as a
port multiplexer, so the termination throughput is paramount. Changing
the tagging protocol at runtime is possible for these systems, but since
it is known beforehand that one tagging protocol will provide strictly
better performance than the other, just allow them to specify the
preference in the device tree.

It was a documented fact that ds->ops->change_tag_protocol() offered
rtnetlink mutex protection to the switch driver, since there was an
ASSERT_RTNL right before the call in dsa_switch_change_tag_proto()
(initiated from sysfs).

The blamed commit introduced another call path for
ds->ops->change_tag_protocol() which does not hold the rtnl_mutex.
This is:

         -> ds->ops->change_tag_protocol()

The reason why the rtnl_mutex is held in the sysfs call path is to
ensure that, once the master and all the DSA interfaces are down (which
is required so that no packets flow), they remain down during the
tagging protocol change.

The above calling order illustrates the fact that it should not be risky
to change the initial tagging protocol to the one specified in the
device tree at the given time:

- packets cannot enter the dsa_switch_rcv() packet type handler since
  netdev_uses_dsa() for the master will not yet return true, since
  dev->dsa_ptr has not yet been populated

- packets cannot enter the dsa_slave_xmit() function because no DSA
  interface has yet been registered

So from the DSA core's perspective, holding the rtnl_mutex is indeed not
necessary.

Yet, drivers may need to do things which need rtnl_mutex protection. For
example:

felix_set_tag_protocol
-> felix_setup_tag_8021q
   -> dsa_tag_8021q_register
      -> dsa_tag_8021q_setup
         -> dsa_tag_8021q_port_setup
            -> vlan_vid_add
               -> ASSERT_RTNL

These drivers do not really have a choice to take the rtnl_mutex
themselves, since in the sysfs case, the rtnl_mutex is already held.

Shannon Nelson 5c976a5657 ionic: don't remove netdev->dev_addr when syncing uc list
Bridging, and possibly other upper stack gizmos, adds the
lower device's netdev->dev_addr to its own uc list, and
then requests it be deleted when the upper bridge device is
removed.  This delete request also happens with the bridging
vlan_filtering is enabled and then disabled.

Bonding has a similar behavior with the uc list, but since it
also uses set_mac to manage netdev->dev_addr, it doesn't have
the same the failure case.

Because we store our netdev->dev_addr in our uc list, we need
to ignore the delete request from dev_uc_sync so as to not
lose the address and all hope of communicating.  Note that
ndo_set_mac_address is expressly changing netdev->dev_addr,
so no limitation is set there.
