Paul Burton a8b3b0c94a MIPS: Netlogic: Fix assembler warning from smpboot.S
The netlogic platform can be built for either MIPS32 or MIPS64, and when
built for MIPS32 (as by nlm_xlr_defconfig) the use of the dla
pseudo-instruction leads to warnings such as the following from recent
versions of the GNU assembler:

  arch/mips/netlogic/common/smpboot.S: Assembler messages:
arch/mips/netlogic/common/smpboot.S:62: Warning: dla used to load 32-bit register; recommend using la instead
arch/mips/netlogic/common/smpboot.S:63: Warning: dla used to load 32-bit register; recommend using la instead

Avoid these warnings by using the PTR_LA macro to make use of the
appropriate la or dla pseudo-instruction for the build.

James Hogan 32eb6e8bee MIPS: Netlogic: Fix CP0_EBASE redefinition warnings
A couple of netlogic assembly files define CP0_EBASE to $15, the same as
CP0_PRID in mipsregs.h, and use it for accessing both CP0_PRId and
CP0_EBase registers. However commit 609cf6f229 ("MIPS: CPS: Early
debug using an ns16550-compatible UART") added a different definition of
CP0_EBASE to mipsregs.h, which included a register select of 1. This
causes harmless build warnings like the following:

  arch/mips/netlogic/common/reset.S:53:0: warning: "CP0_EBASE" redefined
  #define CP0_EBASE $15
  ^
  In file included from arch/mips/netlogic/common/reset.S:41:0:
./arch/mips/include/asm/mipsregs.h:63:0: note: this is the location of the previous definition
  #define CP0_EBASE $15, 1
  ^

Update the code to use the definitions from mipsregs.h for accessing
both registers.

Jayachandran C a3deecfaa3 MIPS: Netlogic: Reduce size of reset code
Update thread wakeup function to use scratch registers for saving SP and
RA. Move the register restore code needed for thread 0 to the calling
function. This reduces the size of code copied to the reset vector.

Paul Gortmaker 3b2663ca84 mips: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.

* remove confusing argument of SYS_CPU_COHERENT_BASE macro
* make the numerical labels in macros consistent

Paul Gortmaker 078a55fc82 MIPS: Delete __cpuinit/__CPUINIT usage from MIPS code
commit 3747069b25e419f6b51395f48127e9812abc3596 upstream.

The __cpuinit type of throwaway sections might have made sense
some time ago when RAM was more constrained, but now the savings
do not offset the cost and complications. For example, the fix in
commit 5e427ec2d0 ("x86: Fix bit corruption at CPU resume time")
is a good example of the nasty type of bugs that can be created
with improper use of the various __init prefixes.

After a discussion on LKML[1] it was decided that cpuinit should go
the way of devinit and be phased out. Once all the users are gone,
we can then finally remove the macros themselves from linux/init.h.

Note that some harmless section mismatch warnings may result, since
notify_cpu_starting() and cpu_up() are arch independent (kernel/cpu.c)
and are flagged as __cpuinit -- so if we remove the __cpuinit from
the arch specific callers, we will also get section mismatch warnings.
As an intermediate step, we intend to turn the linux/init.h cpuinit
related content into no-ops as early as possible, since that will get
rid of these warnings. In any case, they are temporary and harmless.

Here, we remove all the MIPS __cpuinit from C code and __CPUINIT
from asm files. MIPS is interesting in this respect, because there
are also uasm users hiding behind their own renamed versions of the
__cpuinit macros.

Jayachandran C fd5f527cc5 MIPS: Netlogic: use branch instead of jump
Fix an issue in the reset code. Since this code is copied to the
reset vector, using 'j' for looping is not correct. Use relative
branch 'b'.

Update the usage of 'j' in smpboot.S to be consistent although it
is not a bug there.

The reset and core initialization code should be available for
uniprocessor as well. This changes is just to take out the code
into a different file, without any change to the logic.

The change for uniprocessor initialization code is in a later patch.

Jayachandran C a69ba6293d MIPS: Netlogic: Split XLP L1 i-cache among threads
Since we now use r4k cache code for Netlogic XLP, it is
better to split L1 icache among the active threads, so that
threads won't step on each other while flushing icache.

The L1 dcache is already split among the threads in the core.

Jayachandran C 66d29985fa MIPS: Netlogic: Merge some of XLR/XLP wakup code
Create a common NMI and reset handler in smpboot.S and use this for
both XLR and XLP. In the earlier code, the woken up CPUs would
busy wait until released, switch this to wakeup by NMI.

The initial wakeup code or XLR and XLP are differ since they are
started from different bootloaders (XLP from u-boot and XLR from
netlogic bootloader). But in both platforms the woken up CPUs wait
and are released by sending an NMI.

Add support for starting XLR and XLP in 1/2/4 threads per core.
