Christoph Hellwig 925c86a19b fs: add CONFIG_BUFFER_HEAD
Add a new config option that controls building the buffer_head code, and
select it from all file systems and stacking drivers that need it.

For the block device nodes and alternative iomap based buffered I/O path
is provided when buffer_head support is not enabled, and iomap needs a
a small tweak to define the IOMAP_F_BUFFER_HEAD flag to 0 to not call
into the buffer_head code when it doesn't exist.

Otherwise this is just Kconfig and ifdef changes.

Christoph Hellwig 9636e650e1 fs: build the legacy direct I/O code conditionally
Add a new LEGACY_DIRECT_IO config symbol that is only selected by the
file systems that still use the legacy blockdev_direct_IO code, so that
kernels without support for those file systems don't need to build the
code.

David Gow b0d4adaf3b fat: Add KUnit tests for checksums and timestamps
Add some basic sanity-check tests for the fat_checksum() function and
the fat_time_unix2fat() and fat_time_fat2unix() functions. These unit
tests verify these functions return correct output for a number of test
inputs.

These tests were inspired by -- and serve a similar purpose to -- the
timestamp parsing KUnit tests in ext4[1].

Note that, unlike fat_time_unix2fat, fat_time_fat2unix wasn't previously
exported, so this patch exports it as well. This is required for the
case where we're building the fat and fat_test as modules.

Fixed minor checkpatch coding style errors and typos in commit log:

Alexander A. Klimov 4ecfed61de VFAT/FAT/MSDOS FILESYSTEM: replace HTTP links with HTTPS ones
Rationale:
Reduces attack surface on kernel devs opening the links for MITM
as HTTPS traffic is much harder to manipulate.

Deterministic algorithm:
For each file:
  If not .svg:
    For each line:
      If doesn't contain `xmlns`:
        For each link, `http://[^# ]*(?:\w|/)`:
	  If neither `gnu\.org/license`, nor `mozilla\.org/MPL`:
If both the HTTP and HTTPS versions
return 200 OK and serve the same content:
              Replace HTTP with HTTPS.

Maciej S. Szmigiero 3873938068 fat: add config option to set UTF-8 mount option by default
FAT has long supported its own default file name encoding config
setting, separate from CONFIG_NLS_DEFAULT.

However, if UTF-8 encoded file names are desired FAT character set
should not be set to utf8 since this would make file names case
sensitive even if case insensitive matching is requested. Instead,
"utf8" mount options should be provided to enable UTF-8 file names in
FAT file system.

Unfortunately, there was no possibility to set the default value of this
option so on UTF-8 system "utf8" mount option had to be added manually
to most FAT mounts.

This patch adds config option to set such default value.
