Kishon Vijay Abraham I 7d326930d3 mmc: sdhci-omap: Add OMAP SDHCI driver
Create a new sdhci-omap driver to configure the eMMC/SD/SDIO controller
in TI's OMAP SoCs making use of the SDHCI core library. For OMAP specific
configurations, populate sdhci_ops with OMAP specific callbacks and use
SDHCI quirks.
Enable only high speed mode for both SD and eMMC here and add other
UHS mode support later.

Srinivas Kandagatla 1ac9906622 mmc: mmci: stop building qcom dml as module
It does not make sense for qcom dml code to be a seperate module, as

This would also fix issues arrising due to Kconfig combinations between

Simon Horman b5b6a5f4f0 mmc: renesas-sdhi: rename sh_mobile_sdhi.c => renesas_sdhi_core.c
Rename the source file SDHI. A follow-up patch will make it a library
file used by a different top-level module file.

The name "renesas" is chosen as the SDHI driver is applicable to a wider
range of SoCs than SH-Mobile it seems to be a more appropriate name.
However, the SDHI driver source itself, is left as sh_mobile_sdhi to
avoid unnecessary churn.

the name "core" was chosen to reflect the desired role of this file,
to provide core functionality to the sdhi driver. A follow-up patch will
move the file into that role.

Internal symbols have also been renamed to reflect the filename change.

The .name member of struct platform_driver and parameter to
MODULE_ALIAS() have not been changed in order to avoid the complication
of potentially breaking SH SoCs which still use platform drivers.

Eric Anholt 660fc733bd mmc: bcm2835: Add new driver for the sdhost controller.
The 2835 has two SD controllers: The Arasan sdhci controller (supported
by the iproc driver) and a custom sdhost controller. This patch adds a
driver for the latter.

The sdhci controller supports both sdcard and sdio. The sdhost
controller supports the sdcard only, but has better performance. Also
note that the rpi3 has sdio wifi, so driving the sdcard with the sdhost
controller allows to use the sdhci controller for wifi support.

The configuration is done by devicetree via pin muxing. Both SD
controller are available on the same pins (2 pin groups = pin 22 to 27 +
pin 48 to 53). So it's possible to use both SD controllers at the same
time with different pin groups.

The code was originally written by Phil Elwell in the downstream
Rasbperry Pi tree. In preparation for the upstream merge it was
cleaned up and the code base was moderized by Eric Anholt, Stefan
Wahren and Gerd Hoffmann.

Douglas Anderson c390f2110a mmc: sdhci-of-arasan: Add ability to export card clock
Some SD/eMMC PHYs (like the PHY from Arasan that is designed to work
with arasan,sdhci-5.1) need to know the card clock in order to function
properly. Let's add the ability to expose this clock. Any PHY that
needs to know the clock rate can add a reference and query the clock
rate.

At the moment we register a CLK_GET_RATE_NOCACHE clock that simply
allows querying the clock. This allows us to be less intrusive with
regards to the main SDHCI driver, which has complex logic for adjusting
the SD clock. Right now we always fully power cycle the PHY when the
clock changes and that gives the PHY a good chance to query our clock.

Linus Torvalds d0440c59f5 ARM: SoC cleanups for v4.1
We've got a fairly large cleanup branch this time. The bulk of this is removal
of non-DT platforms of several flavors:

 - Atmel at91 platforms go full-DT, with removal of remaining board-file based
   support
 - OMAP removes legacy board files for three more platforms
 - Removal of non-DT mach-msm, newer Qualcomm platforms now live in mach-qcom
 - Freescale i.MX25 also removes non-DT platform support

Most of the rest of the changes here are fallout from the above, i.e. for
example removal of drivers that now lack platforms, etc.

Merge tag 'armsoc-cleanup' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc

Pull ARM SoC cleanups from Olof Johansson:
"We've got a fairly large cleanup branch this time. The bulk of this
is removal of non-DT platforms of several flavors:

   - Atmel at91 platforms go full-DT, with removal of remaining
     board-file based support

   - OMAP removes legacy board files for three more platforms

   - removal of non-DT mach-msm, newer Qualcomm platforms now live in
     mach-qcom

   - Freescale i.MX25 also removes non-DT platform support"

Most of the rest of the changes here are fallout from the above, i.e. for
example removal of drivers that now lack platforms, etc.

The PPC_OF is a ppc specific option which is used to mean that the

So it makes no sense to keep a such option in the current kernel.

Ondrej Zary a5eb8bbd66 mmc: add Toshiba PCI SD controller driver
This patch resurrects an old never-finished driver for Toshiba PCI SD
controllers found in some older Toshiba laptops (such as Portege R100):

02:0d.0 System peripheral [0880]: Toshiba America Info Systems SD TypA Controller [1179:0805] (rev 05)

The code is fixed, cleaned up and successfully tested with SD, SDHC, SDXC and
MMC cards on Portege R100. (MMC cards don't even work in Windows!)
SDIO probably does not work (don't have any SDIO card).

The hardware is slow (around 2 MB/s - same in Windows) because it does not
support bus mastering (busmaster enable bit cannot be set in PCI control reg).
Also the card clock is limited to 16MHz (33MHz PCI clock divided by 2).

On Qualcomm APQ8064 SOCs, SD card controller has an additional glue

Arnd Bergmann 5d01b7684b mmc: simplify SDHCI Kconfig dependencies
We have a number of front-end drivers for SDHCI_PLTFM, some of them
use 'select MMC_SDHCI_PLTFM', others use 'depends on'. This is
inconsistent and confusing, and in one case has also led to a
build error because of incomplete dependencies:

warning: (MMC_SDHCI_PXAV3 && MMC_SDHCI_PXAV2 && MMC_SDHCI_BCM_KONA) selects MMC_SDHCI_PLTFM which has unmet direct dependencies (MMC && MMC_SDHCI)
drivers/built-in.o: In function `sdhci_sirf_resume':

Laurent Pinchart ff0fa48f81 mmc: sdhi: Enable driver compilation with COMPILE_TEST
This helps increasing build testing coverage.

The driver doesn't compile on (at least) x86 due (possibly among others)
to missing readsw/writesw I/O accessors, restrict compilation to SUPERH
or ARM.

Whether the CTL_DMA_ENABLE register is part of the standard TMIO
controller or is Renesas-specific is unknown and impossible to test as
we have no current or planned TMIO DMA users other than SUPERH and
ARCH_SHMOBILE. Writing to the register is thus conditionally compiled
for SUPERH and ARCH_SHMOBILE only. Adding ARCH_SHMOBILE_MULTI to the
list would extend this to multiarch kernels, but would break the driver
for non-shmobile platforms if the register is Renesas-specific. We can
thus get rid of the conditional compilation completely without
introducing any further issue, and let future non-Renesas users deal
with the situation if it turns out to be a the problem.
