If multiple endpoints on a single device have pending IN URBs and one
endpoint times out due to NAKs (perfectly legal), select a different
endpoint URB to try.
The existing code only checked to see another device address has pending
URBs and ignores other IN endpoints on the current device address. This
leads to endpoints never getting serviced if one endpoint is using NAK as
a flow control method.

The timeout for BULK packets was 300ms which is a long time if other
endpoints or devices are waiting for their turn. Changing it to 50ms
greatly increased the overall performance for multi-endpoint devices.

This patch sets resume_quirk() for R-Car controllers to re-download
the firmware in resume timing. Otherwise, if the controller's power
is down in suspend timing, the firmware in the controller goes away,
and then the controller doesn't work after resume.

This patch enables the clk in resume timing when device_may_wakeup()
is false. Otherwise, kernel panic happens when R-Car resumes the system

Enable the xHCI plat runtime PM for parent device to suspend/resume
xHCI. Also call pm_runtime_forbid() in probe() function to force users
to explicitly enable runtime pm using power/control in sysfs, in case
some parent devices didn't implement runtime PM callbacks.

commit a6ff6cbf1f ("usb: xhci: Add helper function xhci_set_power_on().")
created a helper to control port power that needs to be called with
xhci->lock held and interrupts disabled.
It released the lock with spin_unlock_irqrestore using a new zero flag
variable instead of the original flag from spin_lock_irqsave.
This regression triggered a static checker warning about bogus flags, and
a null pointer dereference on armada-385.
Fix it by passing a pointer to the correct flags and using it instead

As per [1] issue #4,
"The periodic EP scheduler always tries to schedule the EPs
that have large intervals (interval equal to or greater than
128 microframes) into different microframes. So it maintains
an internal counter and increments for each large interval
EP added. When the counter is greater than 128, the scheduler
rejects the new EP. So when the hub re-enumerated 128 times,
it triggers this condition."
This results in Bandwidth error when devices with periodic
endpoints (ISO/INT) having bInterval > 7 are plugged and
unplugged several times on a TUSB73x0 XHCI host.
Workaround this issue by limiting the bInterval to 7
(i.e. interval to 6) for High-speed or faster periodic endpoints.

enq_updates and deq_updates were introduced in the first place
to check whether an xhci hardware is able to respond to trbs
enqueued in the ring. We now have trb tracers to trace every
single enqueue/dequeue trb. It's time to remove them and the
associated debugging code.

This patch creates a new event class called xhci_log_ring, and
defines the events used for tracing the change of all kinds of
rings used by an xhci host. An xHCI ring is basically a memory
block shared between software and hardware. By tracing changes
of rings, it makes the life easier for debugging hardware or
software problems.
This info can be used, later, to print, in a human readable way,
the life cycle of an xHCI ring using the trace-cmd tool and the
appropriate plugin.

Introduce a new xhci_hc_died() function that takes care of handling
pending commands and URBs if a host controller becomes unresponsive.
This addresses issues on hotpluggable xhci controllers that disappear
from the bus suddenly, often while the bus (PCI) remove function is
still being processed.
xhci_hc_died() sets a XHCI_STATUS_DYING flag to prevent new URBs and
commands or to be queued. The flag also ensures xhci_hc_died() will
give back pending commands and URBs once.
Host is considered dead if register read returns 0xffffffff, or host
fails to abort the command ring, or fails stopping an endpoint after
trying for 5 seconds.

We can't halt the host controller immediately when first HCD is removed as
it will cause problems if we have devices attached to the second (primary)
HCD, like a keyboard.
We've been carrying this in our Linux-as-a-bootloader environment for a
little while now. The machines all have the same TI TUSB73x0 part,
and when we kexec the devices don't come back until a system power cycle.

There's one annoyance in how xhci prints debug messages, we often
get logs with messages but it's hard to say from which device and
endpoint the message originates. Add slot_id, ep_index messages
in handle_tx_event.

For usb2 ports, the port test mode Test_J_State, Test_K_State,
Test_Packet, Test_SE0_NAK and Test_Force_En can be enabled
as described in usb2 spec.
USB2 test mode is a required hardware feature for system integrators
validating their hardware according to USB spec, regarding signal
strength and stuff. It is purely a hardware test feature.
Usually you need an oscilloscope and have to enable those test modes on
the hardware. This will send some specific test patterns on D+/D-. There
is no report available (in Linux itself) as it is purely externally
visible. Regular USB usage is not possible at that time.
Anyone (well access to e.g. /dev/bus/usb/001/001 provided) can use it by
sending appropriate USB_PORT_FEAT_TEST requests to the hub.

EINT(Event Interrupt) is a write-1-to-clear type of bit in xhci
status register. It should be cleared by writing a 1. Writing 0
to this bit has no effect.
Xhci driver tries to clear this bit by writing 0 to it. This is
not the right way to go. This patch corrects this by reading the
register first, then clearing all RO/RW1C/RsvZ bits and setting
the clearing bit, and writing back the new value at last.
Xhci spec requires that software that uses EINT shall clear it
prior to clearing any IP flags in section 5.4.2. This is the
reason why this patch is CC'ed stable as well.

USB host controllers can take a significant amount of time to suspend
and resume, adding several hundred miliseconds to the kernel resume
time. Since the XHCI controller has no outside dependencies (other than
clocks, which are suspended late/resumed early), allow it to suspend and
resume asynchronously.

xhci needs to take care of four scenarios when asked to cancel a URB.
1 URB is not queued or already given back.
usb_hcd_check_unlink_urb() will return an error, we pass the error on

A control transfer that stopped at the status stage incorrectly
warned about a "unexpected TRB Type 4", and did not set the
transferred actual_length for the URB.
The URB actual_length for control transfers should contain the
bytes transferred in the data stage.
Bytes of a partially sent setup stage and missing bytes from
status stage should be left out.

For xhci-hcd platform device, all the DMA parameters are not
configured properly, notably dma ops for dwc3 devices. So, set
the dma for xhci from sysdev. sysdev is pointing to device that

On a loaded virtualization host (dozen guests booting at the same time)
it may happen that the ohci controller emulation doesn't manage to do
timely frame processing, with the result that the io watchdog fires and
considers the controller being dead, even though it's only the emulation
being unusual slow due to the load peak.
So, add a quirk for qemu and don't use the watchdog in case we figure we
are running on emulated ohci. The virtual ohci controller masquerades
as apple ohci controller, but we can identify it by subsystem id.

- Add a new compatible string for the Armada 3700 SoCs
- add sbuscfg support for orion usb controller driver. For the SoCs
without hlock, need to program BAWR/BARD/AHBBRST fields in the sbuscfg
register to guarantee the AHB master's burst would not overrun or
underrun the FIFO.

This patch fixes an issue that a usb 1.1 device is not connected in
system resume and then the following message appeared if debug messages
are enabled:
usb 2-1: Waited 2000ms for CONNECT
To resolve this issue, the EHCI controller must be resumed after its
companion controllers. So, this patch adds such code on the driver.

a lot of embeded system SOC (e.g. freescale T2080) have both
PCI and USB modules. But USB module is controlled by registers directly,
it have no relationship with PCI module.
when say N here it will not build PCI related code in USB driver.

were a lot of unresolved issues that people have been finding for this
subsystem, and a bunch of good security auditing happening as well from
Johan Hovold. There's the usual batch of gadget driver fixes and xhci
issues resolved as well.

Upstream commit 98d74f9cea ("xhci: fix 10 second timeout on removal of
PCI hotpluggable xhci controllers") fixes a problem with hot pluggable PCI
xhci controllers which can result in excessive timeouts, to the point where
the system reports a deadlock.
The same problem is seen with hot pluggable xhci controllers using the
xhci-plat driver, such as the driver used for Type-C ports on rk3399.
Similar to hot-pluggable PCI controllers, the driver for this chip
removes the xhci controller from the system when the Type-C cable is
disconnected.
The solution for PCI devices works just as well for non-PCI devices
and avoids the problem.

In patch 2e2aa1bc7eff90ecm, USB suspend and wakeup control requests are
passed to SFR_OHCIICR register. If a processor does not have such a
register, this hub control request will be dropped.
If no such a SFR register is available, all USB suspend control requests
will now be processed using ohci_hub_control()
(like before patch 2e2aa1bc7eff90ecm.)
Tested on an Atmel AT91SAM9G20 with an on-board TI TUSB2046B hub chip
If the last USB device is unplugged from the USB hub, the hub goes into
sleep and will not wakeup when an USB devices is inserted.

Now that %z is standartised in C99 there is no reason to support %Z.
Unlike %L it doesn't even make format strings smaller.
Use BUILD_BUG_ON in a couple ATM drivers.
In case anyone didn't notice lib/vsprintf.o is about half of SLUB which
is in my opinion is quite an achievement. Hopefully this patch inspires
someone else to trim vsprintf.c more.

instead of having a tracer that can only trace command completions,
let's promote this tracer so it can trace and decode any TRB.
With that, it will be easier to extrapolate the lifetime of any TRB
which might help debugging certain issues.

Some devices from Texas Instruments [1] suffer from
a silicon bug where Port Enabled/Disabled bit
should not be used to silence an erroneous device.
The bug is so that if port is disabled with PED
bit, an IRQ for device removal (or attachment)
will never fire.
Just for the sake of completeness, the actual
problem lies with SNPS USB IP and this affects
all known versions up to 3.00a. A separate
patch will be added to dwc3 to enabled this
quirk flag if version is <= 3.00a.

The second try was a workaround for (what we thought was) command
ring failing to stop in the first place. But this turns out to be
due to the race that we have fixed(see "xhci: Fix race related to
abort operation"). With that fix, it is time to remove the second
try.

A counter was used to find out if the stop endpoint completion raced with
the stop endpoint timeout timer. This was needed in case the stop ep
completion failed to delete the timer as it was running on anoter cpu.
The EP_STOP_CMD_PENDING flag was not enough as a new stop endpoint command
may be queued between the command completion and timeout function, which
would set the flag back.
Instead of the separate counter that was used we can detect the race by
checking both the STOP_EP_PENDING flag and timer_pending in the timeout
function.

The warn on is a bit too much, we will anyway set the dma mask if not set
previously.
The main reason for this fix is that 4.10-rc1 has a dwc3 change that
pass a parent sysdev dev pointer instead of setting the dma mask of
its xhci platform device. xhci platform driver can then get more
attributes from the sysdev than just the dma mask.
The usb core and xhci changes are not yet in 4.10, and a fix like
this was preferred instead of taking those big changes this late in
the rc-cycle.

Declare dev_pm_ops structures as const as they are only stored in the pm
field of a device_driver structure. This field is of type const, so
dev_pm_ops structures having similar properties can be declared const
too.

If a URB is killed while the host is removed we can end up in a situation
where the hub thread takes the roothub device lock, and waits for
the URB to be given back by xhci-hcd, blocking the host remove code.
xhci-hcd tries to stop the endpoint and give back the urb, but can't
as the host is removed from PCI bus at the same time, preventing the normal
way of giving back urb.
Instead we need to rely on the stop command timeout function to give back
the urb. This xhci_stop_endpoint_command_watchdog() timeout function
used a XHCI_STATE_DYING flag to indicate if the timeout function is already
running, but later this flag has been taking into use in other places to
mark that xhci is dying.
Remove checks for XHCI_STATE_DYING in xhci_urb_dequeue. We are still
checking that reading from pci state does not return 0xffffffff or that
host is not halted before trying to stop the endpoint.
This whole area of stopping endpoints, giving back URBs, and the wathdog
timeout need rework, this fix focuses on solving a specific deadlock
issue that we can then send to stable before any major rework.

The MIPS based MT7621 shares the same XHCI core as the newer generation of
ARM based SoCs. The driver works out of the box and we only need to make it

The gpiod_get* function family does not want the -gpio suffix.
Use devm_gpiod_get_index_optional instead of devm_gpiod_get_optional.
The descriptor based APIs handle active high/low automatically.
The vbus-gpios are output, request enable while getting the gpio.
Don't try to get any vbus-gpios for ports outside num-ports.
WTF? Big sigh.

Stop Endpoint command can come at any point and we
have no control of that. We should make sure to
handle COMP_STOP on SETUP phase as well, otherwise
urb->actual_length might be set to negative values
in some occasions such as below:
urb->length = 4;
build_control_transfer_td_for(urb, ep);
stop_endpoint(ep);
COMP_STOP:
[...]
urb->actual_length = urb->length - trb->length;
trb->length is 8 for SETUP stage (8 control request
bytes), so actual_length would be set to -4 in this
case.
While doing that, also make sure to use TRB_TYPE
field of the actual TRB instead of matching pointers
to figure out in which stage of the control transfer
we got our completion event.

To do abort operation correctly, we have to wait both of COMP_CMD_STOP
event and negation of CMD_RING_RUNNING.
But like above, while timeout handler is waiting negation of
CMD_RING_RUNNING, event handler can restart cmd_ring. So timeout
handler never be notice negation of CMD_RING_RUNNING, and retry of
CMD_RING_ABORT can abort random command (BTW, I guess retry of
CMD_RING_ABORT was workaround of this race).
To fix this race, this moves xhci_handle_stopped_cmd_ring() to
xhci_abort_cmd_ring(). And timeout handler waits COMP_CMD_STOP event.
At this point, timeout handler is owner of cmd_ring, and safely
restart cmd_ring by using xhci_handle_stopped_cmd_ring().
[FWIW, as bonus, this way would be easily extend to add CMD_RING_PAUSE
operation]

In command timer function, xhci_handle_command_timeout(), xhci->lock
is unlocked before call into xhci_abort_cmd_ring(). This might cause
race between the timer function and the event handler.
The xhci_abort_cmd_ring() function sets the CMD_RING_ABORT bit in the
command register and polling it until the setting takes effect. A stop
command ring event might be handled between writing the abort bit and
polling for it. The event handler will restart the command ring, which
causes the failure of polling, and we ever believed that we failed to
stop it.
As a bonus, this also fixes some issues of calling functions without
locking in xhci_handle_command_timeout().

If we get a command completion event at the same time as the command
timeout work starts on another cpu we might end up aborting the wrong
command.
If the command completion takes the xhci lock before the timeout work, it
will handle the command, pick the next command, mark it as current_cmd, and
re-queue the timeout work. When the timeout work finally gets the lock
It will start aborting the wrong command.
This case can be resolved by checking if the timeout work is pending inside
the timeout function itself. A new timeout work can only be pending if the
command completed and a new command was queued.
If there are no more commands pending then command completion will set
the current_cmd to NULL, which is already handled in the timeout work.

handle_cmd_completion() frees a command structure which might be still
referenced by xhci->current_cmd.
This might cause problem when xhci->current_cmd is accessed after that.
A real-life case could be like this. The host takes a very long time to
respond to a command, and the command timer is fired at the same time
when the command completion event arrives. The command completion
handler frees xhci->current_cmd before the timer function can grab
xhci->lock. Afterward, timer function grabs the lock and go ahead with
checking and setting members of xhci->current_cmd.

In function xhci_mtk_probe(), variable ret takes the return value. Its
value should be negative on failures. However, when the call to function
platform_get_irq() fails, it does not set the error code, and 0 will be
returned. 0 indicates no error. As a result, the callers of function
xhci_mtk_probe() will not be able to detect the error. This patch fixes
the bug by assigning the return value of platform_get_irq() to variable
ret if it fails.

xhci_setup_device() should return failure with correct error number
when xhci host has died, removed or halted.
During usb device enumeration, if usb host is not accessible (died,
removed or halted), the hc_driver->address_device() should return
a corresponding error code to usb core. But current xhci driver just
returns success. This misleads usb core to continue the enumeration
by reading the device descriptor, which will result in failure, and
users will get a misleading message like "device descriptor read/8,
error -110".

the tt_info provided by a HS hub might be in use to by a child device
Make sure we free the devices in the correct order.
This is needed in special cases such as when xhci controller is
reset when resuming from hibernate, and all virt_devices are freed.
Also free the virt_devices starting from max slot_id as children
more commonly have higher slot_id than parent.

ktime_set(S,N) was required for the timespec storage type and is still
useful for situations where a Seconds and Nanoseconds part of a time value
needs to be converted. For anything where the Seconds argument is 0, this
is pointless and can be replaced with a simple assignment.

ktime is a union because the initial implementation stored the time in
scalar nanoseconds on 64 bit machine and in a endianess optimized timespec
variant for 32bit machines. The Y2038 cleanup removed the timespec variant
and switched everything to scalar nanoseconds. The union remained, but
become completely pointless.
Get rid of the union and just keep ktime_t as simple typedef of type s64.
The conversion was done with coccinelle and some manual mopping up.

The EHCI specification states the following in the SUSP bit description:
In the Suspend state, the port is sensitive to resume detection.
Note that the bit status does not change until the port is suspended and
that there may be a delay in suspending a port if there is a transaction
currently in progress on the USB.
However, in NXP USBDR controller, the PORTSCx[SUSP] bit changes immediately
when the application sets it and not when the port is actually suspended.
So the application must wait for at least 10 milliseconds after a port
indicates that it is suspended, to make sure this port has entered
suspended state before initiating this port resume using the Force Port
Resume bit. This bit is for NXP controller, not EHCI compatible.

The da8xx ohci controller is not working after suspend and resume.
This is because only the root hub is being resumed.
Balance the ohci_suspend of the suspend path with an ohci_resume
in the resume path so that we resume the entire controller, and not
just the root hub.
Also, while we are here, remove setting device power_state,

Using a regulator to handle VBUS will eliminate the need for
platform data and callbacks, and make the driver more generic
allowing different types of regulators to handle VBUS.
The regulator equivalents to the platform callbacks are:
set_power -> regulator_enable/regulator_disable
get_power -> regulator_is_enabled
get_oci -> regulator_get_error_flags

To migrate to a DT based boot, we will remove the use of platform
callbacks, in favor of using the regulator framework to handle
vbus and over current.
In preparation to use a regulator instead of callbacks, move the platform
data callbacks into separate functions. This provides well defined place
to for the regulator API to coexist with the platform callbacks before
all users are converted.

Instead of global variables, use the extra_priv_size of
the ohci driver.
We cannot yet move the ocic mask because this is used on
the interrupt handler which is registered through platform
data and does not have an hcd pointer. This will be moved
on a later patch.

xhci->slot_id is used for providing a way to pass slot id from the
command completion handler to the function waiting for completion.
It's shared by enumerations of all USB devices connected to an
xhci host. Hence, it's a source for possible races. Since we've
introduced command structure and the command queue to xhci driver.
It's better to move slot_id from xhci_hcd structure to xhci_command
structure. Hence the race source is removed.

This patch adds support for Renesas r8a7796 SoC. This SoC is not
compatible with r8a7795 because using firmware version differs.
Since the "V2" firmware can be used on both r8a7795 (es1.x) and r8a7796,
the "renesas,rcar-gen3-xhci" keeps to use the "V2" for now.

In xhci_handle_event(), when errors are detected, driver always sets
a bit in error_bitmask (one member of the xhci private driver data).
That means users have to retrieve and decode the value of error_bitmask
in xhci private driver data if they want to know whether those erros
ever happened in xhci_handle_event(). Otherwise, those errors are just
ignored silently.
This patch cleans up this by replacing the setting of error_bitmask
with the kernel print functions, so that users can easily check and
report the errors happened in xhci_handle_event().

while handling transfer events we used to check the return value of
various functions to see if we can give back the URB.
Turns out the only case when those return values are set are when
finish_td() notices we are completing the last td in the URB.
give back the urb directly in finish_td() instead.
Only functional change is that we now increase the event ring dequeue
pointer in sowtware after giving back the URB. This should not matter
as we are in hardware interrupt context and the time when writing the
new event ring dequeue to hardware remains the same.
Hardware is the only one that can put event TRBs on the event ring.

The naming has been very confusing as the event trb was called "event"

We only check for the URB_SHORT_NOT_OK urb flag to set the urb status
to -EREMOTEIO for transfers that didn't transfer all data.
This will be done in __usb_hcd_giveback() for other than isoc tranfers,
so remove the redundant check from xhci.
Also fix a couple split lines in debug messages to make them greppable.

The old error message always stated that host was not halted
even after trying a certain time.
Host may fail the halt immediately as well with -ENODEV if device
is removed and returns 0xffffffff.
Use a more generic error message and show return value to know if we
failed with -ETIMEDOUT or -ENODEV

The UHCI controllers in Intel chipsets rely on a platform-specific non-PME
mechanism for wakeup signalling. They can generate wakeup signals even
though they don't support PME.
We need to let the USB core know this so that it will enable runtime
suspend for UHCI controllers.

Never seen XHCI auto handoff working on TI and RENESAS cards.
Eventually, we force handoff. This code forces the handoff
unconditionally. It saves 5 seconds boot time for each card.

Increase ohci watchout delay to 275 ms. Previous delay was 250 ms
with 20 ms of slack, after removing slack time some ohci controllers don't
respond in time. Logs from systems with controllers that have the
issue would show "HcDoneHead not written back; disabled"

The reset value of RWC is 0, set RemoteWakeupConnected bit explicitly
before calling ohci_run, it also fixes the issue that the mass
storage stick connected wasn't suspended when the system suspend.

USB2 host inititated resume, and system suspend bus resume
need to use the same USB_RESUME_TIMEOUT as elsewhere.
This resolves a device disconnect issue at system resume seen
on Intel Braswell and Apollolake, but is in no way limited to
those platforms.

If a device is unplugged and replugged during Sx system suspend
some Intel xHC hosts will overwrite the CAS (Cold attach status) flag
and no device connection is noticed in resume.
A device in this state can be identified in resume if its link state
is in polling or compliance mode, and the current connect status is 0.
A device in this state needs to be warm reset.

Observed on Cherryview and Apollolake as they go into compliance mode
if LFPS times out during polling, and re-plugged devices are not
discovered at resume.

The stop endpoint command has its own 5 second timeout timer.
If the timeout function is triggered between USB3 and USB2 host
removal it will try to call usb_hc_died(xhci_to_hcd(xhci)->primary_hcd)
the ->primary_hcd will be set to NULL at USB3 hcd removal.
Fix this by first checking if the PCI host is being removed, and
also by using only xhci_to_hcd() as it will always return the primary
hcd.

The neponset is a daughter board for the Assabet platform, which has a
SA1111 chip on it. If we're initialising the SA1111 OHCI, and we're
part of a neponset, the host platform must be an Assabet.
This allows us to eliminate machine_has_neponset() from this driver,
replacing it instead with machine_is_assabet(), and killing the
mach/assabet.h include.

The usb controller does not manage correctly the suspend mode for
the ehci. In echi mode, there is no way to suspend without any
device connected to it. This is why this specific control is added
to fix this issue. Since the suspend mode works in ohci mode, this
specific control works by suspend the usb controller in ohci mode.
This specific control is by setting the SUSPEND_A/B/C fields of
SFR_OHCIICR(OHCI Interrupt Configuration Register) in the SFR
while the OHCI USB suspend.
This set operation must be done before the USB clock disabled,
clear operation after the USB clock enabled.

After a device is disconnected, xhci_stop_device() will be invoked
in xhci_bus_suspend().
Also the "disconnect" IRQ will have ISR to invoke
xhci_free_virt_device() in this sequence.

Fix "Command completion event does not match command" errors by always
handling the command ring stopped events.
The command ring stopped event is generated as a result of aborting
or stopping the command ring with a register write. It is not caused
by a command in the command queue, and thus won't have a matching command
in the comman list.
Solve it by handling the command ring stopped event before checking for a
matching command.
In most command time out cases we abort the command ring, and get
a command ring stopped event. The events command pointer will point at
the current command ring dequeue, which in most cases matches the timed
out command in the command list, and no error messages are seen.
If we instead get a command aborted event before the command ring stopped
event, the abort event will increse the command ring dequeue pointer, and
the following command ring stopped events command pointer will point at the
next, not yet queued command. This case triggered the error message

Currently bcma-hcd driver handles 3 different bcma cores:
1) BCMA_CORE_USB20_HOST (0x819)
2) BCMA_CORE_NS_USB20 (0x504)
3) BCMA_CORE_NS_USB30 (0x505)
The first one was introduced years ago and so far was used on MIPS
devices only. All Northstar (ARM) devices were using other two cores
which allowed easy implementation of separated initialization paths.
It seems however Broadcom decided to reuse this old USB 2.0 controller
on some recently introduced cheaper Northstar BCM53573 SoCs. I noticed
this on Tenda AC9 (based on BCM47189B0 belonging to BCM53573 family).
There is no difference in this old controller core identification
between MIPS and ARM devices: they share the same id and revision. We
need different controller initialization procedure however.
To handle this add a check for architecture and implement required
initialization for ARM case.

alloc_ordered_workqueue replaces the deprecated
create_singlethread_workqueue.
The workqueue "workqueue" has multiple workitems which may require
ordering. Hence, a dedicated ordered workqueue has been used.
Since the workqueue is not being used on a memory reclaim path,
WQ_MEM_RECLAIM has not been set.

In ehci_turn_off_all_ports() all EHCI port registers are cleared to zero.
On some hardware, this can lead to an system hang,
when ehci_port_power() accesses the already cleared registers.
This patch changes the order of cleanup.
First call ehci_port_power() which respects the current bits in
port status registers
and afterwards cleanup the hard way by setting everything to zero.

It's a rather simple controller, we just need to make sure USB is
powered (using GPIO pin) and reset bus core. Once this is done it's
safe to register XHCI controller and let it init PHY and do its magic.

It's clear to see that the list_empty() check means it can never be
uninitialized, however it still looks wrong:
When ep->cancelled_td_list contains more than one entry, the
ep_ring variable will point to the ring that was retrieved
from the last urb, and we have to look it up again in the
second loop instead, which fixes the behavior and gets rid of the
warning too.

Here's the big pull request for Peripheral stack and
all related drivers.
This time around with 109 non-merge commits mostly
concentrated on drivers/usb/gadget/udc (41.5%) and
drivers/usb/dwc3 (28.1%).
There's a big rework on dwc3's transfer handling
which gave us almost 3x faster USB3 speeds with Mass
Storage on a particular test scenario I measured. We
are also removing platform_data from dwc3 after
converting all users to built-in properties instead.
For the Gadget API, we're just adding tracepoints to
aid debugging activities.
Other than these, there's the usual set of spelling
fixes, minor bug fixes and sparse warnings cleanups.

inc_deq() is called both for rings with link trbs and the event ring
without link trbs.
The last_trb() check in inc_deq() has a off by one error, going beyond
allocated array when checking if trb == [TRBS_PER_SEGMENT], and the whole
inc_deq() depend on this.
Rewrite the inc_deq() funciton, remove the faulty last_trb() helper, add
new last_trb_on_seg() and last_trb_on_ring() helpers

Add a new is_link_trb() function that only checks for link trbs.
We want to split generic last_trb() function which is used for both
event rings without link trbs, and endpoint and command rings with links.
This will allow us to easier check for link trbs added mid segments.

If the last trb before a link is not packet size aligned, and is not
splittable then use a bounce buffer for that chunk of max packet size
unalignable data.
Allocate a max packet size bounce buffer for every segment of a bulk
endpoint ring at the same time as allocating the ring.
If we need to align the data before the link trb in that segment then
copy the data to the segment bounce buffer, dma map it, and enqueue it.
Once the td finishes, or is cancelled, unmap it.
For in transfers we need to first map the bounce buffer, then queue it,
after it finishes, copy the bounce buffer to the original sg list, and
finally unmap it

TD fragments section 4.11.7.1 in xhci specs have additional requirements
on how trbs in TDs must be organized.
TD fragments shall not span transfer ring segments and TD fragments must
be packet aligned. Normally we don't care about TD fragments, on TD is one
big fragment, but if a TD spans ring segments it will be treated as two
fragments, and we need to comply with the alignment requirements.
For us this means that the payload data must be packet aligned in the
last trb before a link trb.
In most mass storage bulk tranfers we are lucky as the block size aligns
nicely with packet size, and there are no issues.
However, usb network adapters using scatterlists can hit this alignment
issue, and usbtest in kernel triggers this in minutes.
This patch is a partial solution, it solves the easy case when the last
trb before the link trb contains a packet boundary.
If that is the case then just split the trb at the boundary.
If not, then just print a debug message and continue as we have always
done, hoping for the best

Queue trbs until all payload data in the urb is tranferred.
The actual number of trbs might need to change from the pre-calculated
number when the packet alignment restrictions for td fragments in
xhci 4.11.7.1 are taken into account.
Long term plan is to get rid of calculating the needed trbs in advance
all together. It's an unnecessary extra walk through the scatterlist.
This change also allows some bulk queue function simplifications

We only need to know if we are queuing the last trb for a TD when
calculating the td remainder field.
The total number of trbs left is not used.
We won't be able to trust the pre-calculated number of trbs used if we
need to align trb data by splitting or merging trbs in order to satisfy
comply with data alignment requirements in xhci specs section 4.11.7.1.

If a zero-length packet is needed after a bulk transfer, then an
additional zero length TD was prepared before enqueueing the bulk transfer
This set up the zero packet TD structure with incorrect td->start_seg
and td->first_trb pointers.
Prepare the zero packet TD after the data bulk TD is enqueued instead.
It sets these pointers correctly.
This change also simplifies unnecessary complexity related to keeping
track of the last trb when enqueuing trbs.

instead of defining all functions as static inlines,
let's move them to udc-core and export them with
EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL, that way we can make sure that
only GPL drivers will use them.
As a side effect, it'll be nicer to add tracepoints
to the gadget API.
While at that, also fix Kconfig dependencies to
avoid randconfig build failures.

Currently the Linux PCI core does not touch power state of PCI bridges and
PCIe ports when system suspend is entered. Leaving them in D0 consumes
power unnecessarily and may prevent the CPU from entering deeper C-states.
With recent PCIe hardware we can power down the ports to save power given
that we take into account few restrictions:
- The PCIe port hardware is recent enough, starting from 2015.
- Devices connected to PCIe ports are effectively in D3cold once the port
is transitioned to D3 (the config space is not accessible anymore and
the link may be powered down).
- Devices behind the PCIe port need to be allowed to transition to D3cold
and back. There is a way both drivers and userspace can forbid this.
- If the device behind the PCIe port is capable of waking the system it
needs to be able to do so from D3cold.
This patch adds a new flag to struct pci_device called 'bridge_d3'. This
flag is set and cleared by the PCI core whenever there is a change in power
management state of any of the devices behind the PCIe port. When system
later on is suspended we only need to check this flag and if it is true
transition the port to D3 otherwise we leave it in D0.
Also provide override mechanism via command line parameter
"pcie_port_pm=[off|force]" that can be used to disable or enable the
feature regardless of the BIOS manufacturing date.
