Amitkumar Karwar d8d91253ba mwifiex: remove low priority scan handling
We have a logic in driver to delay or abort low priority scan
to serve Tx traffic effectively. With scan channel
gap support added, firmware now allows driver to send Tx data while
scan operation is in progress. Hence low priority scan handling
in driver is not required now. This patch removes related code.

Avinash Patil cb91be87e1 mwifiex: bring in scan channel gap feature
With scan channel gap when any station/AP is active, FW comes back
to connected channel for any pending data transfter after scanning each
channel.
We set scan channel gap TLV to FW in scan command when any of the
interface is active. This enables scan channel gap in FW.
Also when scan channel gap is enabled, we would scan maximum channels
allowed by FW.

Scan channel gap is supported only on FW with V15 FW API.

Avinash Patil a9c1c89eea mwifiex: set passive scan type for scan requests with no ssid
It was observed that station would sent probe request even when
scan type has been set as passive during iw scan.
This was happening because driver sets passive scan type only
when channel has IEEE80211_CHAN_NO_IR flag set.
Along with this, add condition to check if no ssids are specified in
scan request so as to mark such scan request passive.

pull request: wireless-next 2014-07-25

Please pull this batch of updates intended for the 3.17 stream!

For the mac80211 bits, Johannes says:

"We have a lot of TDLS patches, among them a fix that should make hwsim
tests happy again. The rest, this time, is mostly small fixes."

For the Bluetooth bits, Gustavo says:

"Some more patches for 3.17. The most important change here is the move of
the 6lowpan code to net/6lowpan. It has been agreed with Davem that this
change will go through the bluetooth tree. The rest are mostly clean up and
fixes."

and,

"Here follows some more patches for 3.17. These are mostly fixes to what
we've sent to you before for next merge window."

For the iwlwifi bits, Emmanuel says:

"I have the usual amount of BT Coex stuff. Arik continues to work
on TDLS and Ariej contributes a few things for HS2.0. I added a few
more things to the firmware debugging infrastructure. Eran fixes a
small bug - pretty normal content."

And for the Atheros bits, Kalle says:

"For ath6kl me and Jessica added support for ar6004 hw3.0, our latest
version of ar6004.

For ath10k Janusz added a printout so that it's easier to check what
ath10k kconfig options are enabled. He also added a debugfs file to
configure maximum amsdu and ampdu values. Also we had few fixes as
usual."

On top of that is the usual large batch of various driver updates --
brcmfmac, mwifiex, the TI drivers, and wil6210 all get some action.
Rafał has also been very busy with b43 and related updates.

Also, I pulled the wireless tree into this in order to resolve a
merge conflict...

P.S. The change to fs/compat_ioctl.c reflects a name change in a
Bluetooth header file...

Ujjal Roy 71954f24c9 mwifiex: do not re-associate when already connected
In managed mode if the driver is getting a re-associate command
from cfg80211, driver deauthenticates with the AP internally and
sends a disconnected event to cfg80211 before completion of its
association process. The disconnected event then modifies the
SSID length as wdev->ssid_len = 0. So, upon receiving the connect
result event from driver, cfg80211 is unable to get that BSS from
the device's BSS list and generates the following WARN_ON message.

WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 857 at net/wireless/sme.c:658
         __cfg80211_connect_result+0x3a6/0x3e0 [cfg80211]()

Avoid re-association while the device is already associated to a
network. Also remove the internal deauthentication from the
association path.

Sunil Dutt Undekari df942e7ba7 cfg80211: Pass TDLS peer capability information in tdls_mgmt
While framing the TDLS Setup Confirmation frame, the driver needs to
know if the TDLS peer is VHT/HT/WMM capable and thus shall construct
the VHT/HT operation / WMM parameter elements accordingly. Supplicant
determines if the TDLS peer is VHT/HT/WMM capable based on the
presence of the respective IEs in the received TDLS Setup Response frame.

The host driver should not need to parse the received TDLS Response

the capability of the peer through additional flags while transmitting

Antonio Quartulli fe94f3a4ff cfg80211: fix channel configuration in IBSS join
When receiving an IBSS_JOINED event select the BSS object
based on the {bssid, channel} couple rather than the bssid
only.
With the current approach if another cell having the same
BSSID (but using a different channel) exists then cfg80211
picks up the wrong BSS object.
The result is a mismatching channel configuration between
cfg80211 and the driver, that can lead to any sort of
problem.

The issue can be triggered by having an IBSS sitting on
given channel and then asking the driver to create a new
cell using the same BSSID but with a different frequency.
By passing the channel to cfg80211_get_bss() we can solve
this ambiguity and retrieve/create the correct BSS object.
All the users of cfg80211_ibss_joined() have been changed
accordingly.

Moreover WARN when cfg80211_ibss_joined() gets a NULL
channel as argument and remove a bogus call of the same
function in ath6kl (it does not make sense to call
cfg80211_ibss_joined() with a zero BSSID on ibss-leave).

On cfg80211 regulatory domain change, drivers gets alpha2 country
code or "00" in driver's notification handler.

In most cases, the pattern will be US, 00, US, 00, US, 00, US, ...
There is no need to send domain info to firmware in case of "00" or
with the same alpha2 country code.

Change cfg80211 and mac80211 to use cfg80211_mgmt_tx_params

This makes the functions' signatures less clumsy and allows
less painful parameters extension.

Luis R. Rodriguez 8fe02e167e cfg80211: consolidate passive-scan and no-ibss flags
These two flags are used for the same purpose, just
combine them into a no-ir flag to annotate no initiating
radiation is allowed.

Old userspace sending either flag will have it treated as
the no-ir flag. To be considerate to older userspace we
also send both the no-ir flag and the old no-ibss flags.
Newer userspace will have to be aware of older kernels.

Update all places in the tree using these flags with the
following semantic patch:

Amitkumar Karwar 98a4635bba mwifiex: fix potential mem leak in .del_virtual_intf
1) Currently we freeing wdev for each interface in driver unload
path. We may leak memory if user have already deleted an interface.
mwifiex_add_virtual_intf() allocates wdev structure. So it should
be freed in mwifiex_del_virtual_intf().
This will make sure that wdev will be freed when user deletes an
interface and also in unload path.
2) "priv->netdev->ieee80211_ptr" should also be cleared in
mwifiex_del_virtual_intf.

Amitkumar Karwar bec568ff51 mwifiex: failure path handling in mwifiex_add_virtual_intf()
1) If register_netdevice() is failed, we are freeing netdev
pointer, but priv->netdev is not cleared. This gives kernel
paging request error when driver is unloaded or interface is
deleted. Fix the problem by clearing the pointer.
2) Fix memory leak issue by freeing 'wdev' in failure paths.
Also, clear priv->wdev pointer.

As mwifiex_add_virtual_intf() successfully handles the
failure conditions, redundant code under err_add_intf label
is removed in this patch.

Amitkumar Karwar 562fc5b30f mwifiex: add packet coalesce support
Coalesce filters are configured in firmware based on settings
received from cfg80211.

Packet type which is required by firmware is determined based on
provided patterns in a rule:

Unicast: if pattern '01' with offset 0 is found
Multicast: if pattern '33:33' or '01:00:5e' with offset 0 is found
Broadcast: if pattern 'ff:ff:ff:ff' with offset 0 is found

Some example coalesce configuration files:

1) Coalesce Rx data packets from 192.168.0.88
mac address of our device is 00:50:43:21:53:7A
Source IP address offset comes out as 52 after following
calculations:
    32 bytes of HW 802.11 header + 8 bytes LLC +
    12 bytes in IPV4 header till source IP address
Destination mac is at offset 6 in HW header.

delay=100
condition=1
patterns=01,6+00:50:43:22,10+53:7A,52+c0:a8:00:58

2) Coalesce all broadcast and multicast packets(Multiple packet
types are not allowed in a single rule. Hence created separate
rules)

delay=400
condition=1
patterns=33:33
delay=400
condition=1
patterns=ff:ff:ff:ff
