Johannes Berg 4534de8305 genetlink: make all genl_ops users const
Now that genl_ops are no longer modified in place when
registering, they can be made const. This patch was done
mostly with spatch:

Eric Dumazet 634fb979e8 inet: includes a sock_common in request_sock
TCP listener refactoring, part 5 :

We want to be able to insert request sockets (SYN_RECV) into main
ehash table instead of the per listener hash table to allow RCU
lookups and remove listener lock contention.

This patch includes the needed struct sock_common in front
of struct request_sock

This means there is no more inet6_request_sock IPv6 specific
structure.

Following inet_request_sock fields were renamed as they became
macros to reference fields from struct sock_common.
Prefix ir_ was chosen to avoid name collisions.

Paul Moore 6a8b7f0c85 netlabel: use domain based selectors when address based selectors are not available
NetLabel has the ability to selectively assign network security labels
to outbound traffic based on either the LSM's "domain" (different for
each LSM), the network destination, or a combination of both. Depending
on the type of traffic, local or forwarded, and the type of traffic
selector, domain or address based, different hooks are used to label the
traffic; the goal being minimal overhead.

Unfortunately, there is a bug such that a system using NetLabel domain
based traffic selectors does not correctly label outbound local traffic
that is not assigned to a socket. The issue is that in these cases
the associated NetLabel hook only looks at the address based selectors
and not the domain based selectors. This patch corrects this by
checking both the domain and address based selectors so that the correct
labeling is applied, regardless of the configuration type.

In order to acomplish this fix, this patch also simplifies some of the
NetLabel domainhash structures to use a more common outbound traffic
mapping type: struct netlbl_dommap_def. This simplifies some of the code
in this patch and paves the way for further simplifications in the
future.

Paul Moore 6b21e1b77d netlabel: improve domain mapping validation
The net/netlabel/netlabel_domainhash.c:netlbl_domhsh_add() function
does not properly validate new domain hash entries resulting in
potential problems when an administrator attempts to add an invalid
entry. One such problem, as reported by Vlad Halilov, is a kernel
BUG (found in netlabel_domainhash.c:netlbl_domhsh_audit_add()) when
adding an IPv6 outbound mapping with a CIPSO configuration.

This patch corrects this problem by adding the necessary validation
code to netlbl_domhsh_add() via the newly created
netlbl_domhsh_validate() function.

Ideally this patch should also be pushed to the currently active
-stable trees.

Pull networking changes from David Miller:

 1) GRE now works over ipv6, from Dmitry Kozlov.

 2) Make SCTP more network namespace aware, from Eric Biederman.

 3) TEAM driver now works with non-ethernet devices, from Jiri Pirko.

 4) Make openvswitch network namespace aware, from Pravin B Shelar.

 5) IPV6 NAT implementation, from Patrick McHardy.

 6) Server side support for TCP Fast Open, from Jerry Chu and others.

 7) Packet BPF filter supports MOD and XOR, from Eric Dumazet and Daniel
    Borkmann.

 8) Increate the loopback default MTU to 64K, from Eric Dumazet.

 9) Use a per-task rather than per-socket page fragment allocator for
outgoing networking traffic. This benefits processes that have very
many mostly idle sockets, which is quite common.

    From Eric Dumazet.

10) Use up to 32K for page fragment allocations, with fallbacks to
smaller sizes when higher order page allocations fail. Benefits are
    a) less segments for driver to process b) less calls to page
allocator c) less waste of space.

    From Eric Dumazet.

11) Allow GRO to be used on GRE tunnels, from Eric Dumazet.

12) VXLAN device driver, one way to handle VLAN issues such as the
limitation of 4096 VLAN IDs yet still have some level of isolation.
    From Stephen Hemminger.

13) As usual there is a large boatload of driver changes, with the scale
perhaps tilted towards the wireless side this time around.

Fix up various fairly trivial conflicts, mostly caused by the user
namespace changes.

Paul Moore 1281bc2565 netlabel: Fix build problems when IPv6 is not enabled
A recent fix to the the NetLabel code caused build problem with
configurations that did not have IPv6 enabled; see below:

 netlabel_kapi.c: In function 'netlbl_cfg_unlbl_map_add':
 netlabel_kapi.c:165:4:
error: implicit declaration of function 'netlbl_af6list_add'

This patch fixes this problem by making the IPv6 specific code conditional
on the IPv6 configuration flags as we done in the rest of NetLabel and the
network stack as a whole. We have to move some variable declarations
around as a result so things may not be quite as pretty, but at least it
builds cleanly now.

Some additional IPv6 conditionals were added to the NetLabel code as well
for the sake of consistency.

Paul Moore b914f3a2a3 netlabel: Fix several rcu_dereference() calls used without RCU read locks
The recent changes to add RCU lock verification to rcu_dereference() calls
caught out a problem with netlbl_unlhsh_hash(), see below.

 ===================================================
 [ INFO: suspicious rcu_dereference_check() usage. ]
 ---------------------------------------------------
 net/netlabel/netlabel_unlabeled.c:246 invoked rcu_dereference_check()
 without protection!

This patch fixes this problem as well as others like it in the NetLabel
code. Also included in this patch is the identification of future work
to eliminate the RCU read lock in netlbl_domhsh_add(), but in the interest
of getting this patch out quickly that work will happen in another patch
to be finished later.

Thanks to Eric Dumazet and Paul McKenney for their help in understanding
the recent RCU changes.

Tejun Heo 5a0e3ad6af include cleanup: Update gfp.h and slab.h includes to prepare for breaking implicit slab.h inclusion from percpu.h
percpu.h is included by sched.h and module.h and thus ends up being
included when building most .c files. percpu.h includes slab.h which
in turn includes gfp.h making everything defined by the two files
universally available and complicating inclusion dependencies.

percpu.h -> slab.h dependency is about to be removed. Prepare for
this change by updating users of gfp and slab facilities include those
headers directly instead of assuming availability. As this conversion
needs to touch large number of source files, the following script is
used as the basis of conversion.

  http://userweb.kernel.org/~tj/misc/slabh-sweep.py

The script does the followings.

* Scan files for gfp and slab usages and update includes such that
only the necessary includes are there. ie. if only gfp is used,
gfp.h, if slab is used, slab.h.

* When the script inserts a new include, it looks at the include
blocks and try to put the new include such that its order conforms
to its surrounding. It's put in the include block which contains
core kernel includes, in the same order that the rest are ordered -
alphabetical, Christmas tree, rev-Xmas-tree or at the end if there
doesn't seem to be any matching order.

* If the script can't find a place to put a new include (mostly
because the file doesn't have fitting include block), it prints out
an error message indicating which .h file needs to be added to the
  file.

The conversion was done in the following steps.

1. The initial automatic conversion of all .c files updated slightly
over 4000 files, deleting around 700 includes and adding ~480 gfp.h
and ~3000 slab.h inclusions. The script emitted errors for ~400
   files.

2. Each error was manually checked. Some didn't need the inclusion,
some needed manual addition while adding it to implementation .h or
embedding .c file was more appropriate for others. This step added
   inclusions to around 150 files.

3. The script was run again and the output was compared to the edits
from #2 to make sure no file was left behind.

4. Several build tests were done and a couple of problems were fixed.
   e.g. lib/decompress_*.c used malloc/free() wrappers around slab
APIs requiring slab.h to be added manually.

5. The script was run on all .h files but without automatically
editing them as sprinkling gfp.h and slab.h inclusions around .h
files could easily lead to inclusion dependency hell. Most gfp.h
inclusion directives were ignored as stuff from gfp.h was usually
wildly available and often used in preprocessor macros. Each
slab.h inclusion directive was examined and added manually as
   necessary.

6. percpu.h was updated not to include slab.h.

7. Build test were done on the following configurations and failures
were fixed. CONFIG_GCOV_KERNEL was turned off for all tests (as my
distributed build env didn't work with gcov compiles) and a few
more options had to be turned off depending on archs to make things
build (like ipr on powerpc/64 which failed due to missing writeq).

   * x86 and x86_64 UP and SMP allmodconfig and a custom test config.
   * powerpc and powerpc64 SMP allmodconfig
   * sparc and sparc64 SMP allmodconfig
   * ia64 SMP allmodconfig
   * s390 SMP allmodconfig
   * alpha SMP allmodconfig
   * um on x86_64 SMP allmodconfig

8. percpu.h modifications were reverted so that it could be applied as
a separate patch and serve as bisection point.

Given the fact that I had only a couple of failures from tests on step
6, I'm fairly confident about the coverage of this conversion patch.
If there is a breakage, it's likely to be something in one of the arch
headers which should be easily discoverable easily on most builds of
the specific arch.

Paul Moore 07feee8f81 netlabel: Cleanup the Smack/NetLabel code to fix incoming TCP connections
This patch cleans up a lot of the Smack network access control code. The
largest changes are to fix the labeling of incoming TCP connections in a
manner similar to the recent SELinux changes which use the
security_inet_conn_request() hook to label the request_sock and let the label
move to the child socket via the normal network stack mechanisms. In addition
to the incoming TCP connection fixes this patch also removes the smk_labled
field from the socket_smack struct as the minor optimization advantage was
outweighed by the difficulty in maintaining it's proper state.

Paul Moore 389fb800ac netlabel: Label incoming TCP connections correctly in SELinux
The current NetLabel/SELinux behavior for incoming TCP connections works but
only through a series of happy coincidences that rely on the limited nature of
standard CIPSO (only able to convey MLS attributes) and the write equality
imposed by the SELinux MLS constraints. The problem is that network sockets
created as the result of an incoming TCP connection were not on-the-wire
labeled based on the security attributes of the parent socket but rather based
on the wire label of the remote peer. The issue had to do with how IP options
were managed as part of the network stack and where the LSM hooks were in
relation to the code which set the IP options on these newly created child
sockets. While NetLabel/SELinux did correctly set the socket's on-the-wire
label it was promptly cleared by the network stack and reset based on the IP
options of the remote peer.

This patch, in conjunction with a prior patch that adjusted the LSM hook
locations, works to set the correct on-the-wire label format for new incoming
connections through the security_inet_conn_request() hook. Besides the
correct behavior there are many advantages to this change, the most significant
is that all of the NetLabel socket labeling code in SELinux now lives in hooks
which can return error codes to the core stack which allows us to finally get
ride of the selinux_netlbl_inode_permission() logic which greatly simplfies
the NetLabel/SELinux glue code. In the process of developing this patch I
also ran into a small handful of AF_INET6 cleanliness issues that have been
fixed which should make the code safer and easier to extend in the future.

NetLabel has always had a list of backpointers in the CIPSO DOI definition
structure which pointed to the NetLabel LSM domain mapping structures which
referenced the CIPSO DOI struct. The rationale for this was that when an
administrator removed a CIPSO DOI from the system all of the associated
NetLabel LSM domain mappings should be removed as well; a list of
backpointers made this a simple operation.

Unfortunately, while the backpointers did make the removal easier they were
a bit of a mess from an implementation point of view which was making
further development difficult. Since the removal of a CIPSO DOI is a
realtively rare event it seems to make sense to remove this backpointer
list as the optimization was hurting us more then it was helping. However,
we still need to be able to track when a CIPSO DOI definition is being used
so replace the backpointer list with a reference count. In order to
preserve the current functionality of removing the associated LSM domain
mappings when a CIPSO DOI is removed we walk the LSM domain mapping table,
removing the relevant entries.

list_for_each_entry_rcu() call. The latter probably isn't a big deal, but
I derive a certain pleasure from knowing that the net/netlabel is nice and
clean.

Thanks to James Morris for pointing out the issues and demonstrating how

Currently, we are trying to place the information from the kernel to

Though, from the slab point of view steps 3 and 4 are equivalent on

There is a missing "!" in a conditional statement which is causing entries to

Franck Bui-Huu 82524746c2 rcu: split list.h and move rcu-protected lists into rculist.h
Move rcu-protected lists from list.h into a new header file rculist.h.

This is done because list are a very used primitive structure all over the
kernel and it's currently impossible to include other header files in this
list.h without creating some circular dependencies.

For example, list.h implements rcu-protected list and uses rcu_dereference()
without including rcupdate.h. It actually compiles because users of
rcu_dereference() are macros. Others RCU functions could be used too but
aren't probably because of this.

Therefore this patch creates rculist.h which includes rcupdates without to
many changes/troubles.

dev_get_by_index() may return NULL if nothing is found. In
net/netlabel/netlabel_unlabeled.c::netlbl_unlabel_staticlist_gen() the

no harm to be defensive and check for the failure, so that if/when it

Paul Moore 8cc44579d1 NetLabel: Introduce static network labels for unlabeled connections
Most trusted OSs, with the exception of Linux, have the ability to specify
static security labels for unlabeled networks. This patch adds this ability to
the NetLabel packet labeling framework.

If the NetLabel subsystem is called to determine the security attributes of an
incoming packet it first checks to see if any recognized NetLabel packet
labeling protocols are in-use on the packet. If none can be found then the
unlabled connection table is queried and based on the packets incoming
interface and address it is matched with a security label as configured by the
administrator using the netlabel_tools package. The matching security label is
returned to the caller just as if the packet was explicitly labeled using a
labeling protocol.
