Amitkumar Karwar 92c2538f55 mwifiex: add firmware dump feature for PCIe
Firmware dump feature is added for PCIe based chipsets which can
be used with the help of ethtool commands.

1) Trigger firmware dump operation:
ethtool --set-dump mlan0 0xff

When the operation is completed, udev event will be sent to
trigger external application.

2) Following udev rule can be used to get the data from ethtool:
DRIVER=="mwifiex_pcie", ACTION=="change", RUN+="/sbin/mwifiex_pcie_fw_dump.sh"

mwifiex_pcie_fw_dump.sh: #!/bin/bash
ethtool --set-dump mlan0 0
ethtool --get-dump mlan0
ethtool --get-dump mlan0 data /tmp/ITCM.log

ethtool --set-dump mlan0 1
ethtool --get-dump mlan0
ethtool --get-dump mlan0 data /tmp/DTCM.log

ethtool --set-dump mlan0 2
ethtool --get-dump mlan0
ethtool --get-dump mlan0 data /tmp/SQRAM.log

ethtool --set-dump mlan0 3
ethtool --get-dump mlan0

Avinash Patil 8d767dcbea mwifiex: set valid tx_param during mwifiex_send_null_packet
While sending null packet from driver we are passing NULL
tx_param pointer to indicate there are no more packets in queue.
PCIe send routine assumes caller has done sanity check on
tx_param and may cause crash while dereferencing next_pkt_len
from tx_param.

Avoid this by passing tx_param structure with next_pkt_len as
zero instead of NULL pointer.

Amitkumar Karwar 1c97560f6d mwifiex: fix cmd and Tx data timeout issue for PCIe cards
We are sending sleep confirm done interrupt in the middle of
sleep handshake. There is a corner case when Tx done interrupt
is received from firmware during sleep handshake due to which
host and firmware power states go out of sync causing cmd and
Tx data timeout problem.

Hence sleep confirm done interrupt is sent at the end of sleep
handshake to fix the problem.

Aaron Durbin 189b3299fe mwifiex: don't leak DMA command skbuffs
The current mwifiex pcie driver assumed that it would get
its cmdrsp_complete() callback called before another command
was sent to unmap the command's skbuff. However, that is not
true. The mwifiex_check_ps_cond() will send a sleep command
to the card without having adapter->curr_cmd set. Within the
workqueue's state machine the adapter's state would be set
to allow commands (curr_cmd = NULL && cmd_sent = false) after
having receieved the response from the sleep command. The
card->cmd_buf would then be overridden with the new command
but the first command's skbuff was not unmapped. This leaks
mapped skbuffs when a bounce buffer is employed.

To rectify this unmap the card->cmd_buf when the response is
received from the card instead of waiting for the
cmdrsp_complete() callback.

Aaron Durbin dbccc92b5d mwifiex: balance dma map/unmap sizes
Depending on the underlying DMA implementation its
not possible to partially unmap DMA buffers. Moreover
its not possible to understand the intent of passing
0 as the size to dma unmap. The intent of this
driver is unmap the entire skb buffer. The only way
to ensure that the size matches on unmap is to store
both the dma address and the size in the skb ca field.

Introduce a mwifiex_dma_mapping structure which tracks
the dma address and the size. Additionally, provide
a mwifiex_unmap_pci_memory() that utilizes the new
structure. This also provide symmetry within the
internal API.

Amitkumar Karwar bedb361b50 mwifiex: correction in mwifiex_check_fw_status() return status
For PCIe cards, when wrong firmware is downloaded, firmware is
failed to be ready in 10 seconds. We should return an error at
this point. But currently we are sending first command to firmware.
As expected firmware doesn't respond to this command and command
timeout occurs.

This patch fixes the problem by removing unnecessary 'ret'
variable modifications in "if (ret) {" block.

Avinash Patil 0f49d64c95 mwifiex: reset skb->data after processing PCIe sleep confirm cmd respose
This patch is a bug fix for an issue wherein power save was not
working for PCIe. This happens because for processing power save
sleep confirm command we pull skb so that skb->data points ahead
of interface header. We use same skb to get other cmda responses
as well. So if we don't push skb after processing cmd response,
it results into reduction in skb->len and finally skb->len reaches
zero. This causes failure in processing sleep command response.
Fix this by pushing skb by INTF_HEADER_LEN at the end of command
response processing.

Unload sequence for mwifiex PCIE driver is as follows:
1. Invoking cleanup module from kernel results into

2. Kernel invokes PCIE remove() handler which disconnects all

3. One step during disconnect is to clean PCIE TX rings.
During this we read txbd_rdptr from FW.

While loading driver next time, we see pci_enable_device()

This patch adds support to accommodate this feaure as well.

Avinash Patil e05dc3e93c mwifiex: define generic data type for PCIe ring buffers
This patch defines PCIe ring buffer array pointer as void instead
of mwifiex_pcie_buf_desc. This will enable us to use same pointers
for ring operations instead of new structures if buffer descriptor
structure changes.

Also split out event buffer descriptor structure from struct
mwifiex_pcie_buf_desc. For PCIe8766 TX/RX buffer descriptor is
same as evevt buffer descriptor. Newer chips could use different
TX/RX buffer descriptor while event descriptor remains the same.

Avinash Patil 0732484b47 mwifiex: separate ring initialization and ring creation routines
This patch separates PCIe ring initialization from ring creation
routines. This modularizes ring creation(TXBD, RXBD and event
rings) functions.

Readability has been improved while moving the code around.

Avinash Patil dd04e6acd8 mwifiex: store card specific data in PCI device table entry
This patch adds support for storing PCIe device specific data
into driver_data structure of pci_device_id. When a device with
known device_id is probed, we use this driver_data to populate
card specific structres in driver.
This enables to remove device specific defines for scratch
registers, firmware name, FW download block size, etc. from
source code.

This will make addition of support for new chipsets a lot easier.

Alexey Khoroshilov 3220712d3a mwifiex: don't return zero on failure paths in mwifiex_pcie_init()
If pci_iomap() fails in mwifiex_pcie_init(), it breaks off initialization,
deallocates all resources, but returns zero.
The patch adds -EIO as return value in this case.

Avinash Patil 6ccea75e70 mwifiex: fix invalid access of PCIe RxBD ring buffer descriptor
This patch fixes invalid access of RxBD ring buffer descriptor's
length and flag inside PCIe send_data_complete() routine. We are
supposed to modify TxBD buffer descriptor's length and flag here.

Avinash Patil e7f767a7d9 mwifiex: use map/unmap APIs in TX and RX to reduce memcpy
This patch is an enhacement to mwifiex_pcie driver to use
