Update the R-Car H2 pin control driver to use the new macros for
describing pins without GPIO functionality. This replaces the use of
physical pin numbers on the R-Car H2 SoC (in 31x31 FCBGA package) by
symbolic enum values, referring to signal names.
Note that the user-visible names of these pins are still based on pin
numbers instead of signal names, to preserve DT backwards compatibility.

Add new macros for describing pins without GPIO functionality:
- NOGP_ALL() expands to a list of PIN_id values, to be used for
generating symbolic enum values,
- PINMUX_NOGP_ALL() expands to a list of sh_pfc_pin entries, to
list all pins and their capabilities.
Both macros depend on an SoC-specific CPU_ALL_NOGP() macro, to be
provided by each individual SoC pin control driver.
The new macros offer two advantages over the existing SH_PFC_PIN_NAMED()
and SH_PFC_PIN_NAMED_CFG() macros:
1. They do not rely on PIN_NUMBER() macros and physical pin numbering,
hence do not suffer from pin numbering confusion among different
SoC/SiP packages.
2. They are similar in spirit to the existing scheme for handling pins
with GPIO functionality.
Note that internal to the driver, non-GPIO pins use a sequential
numbering scheme which starts after the highest GPIO pin number in use.
This value is calculated automatically, using two new helper macros, for
systems with either 32-port bank (GP port style) or linear (PORT style)
pin space. Sample expansion:
GP_LAST = sizeof(union {
char dummy[0] __attribute__((deprecated, deprecated));
char GP_0_0[(0 * 32) + 0] __attribute__((deprecated, deprecated));
char GP_0_1[(0 * 32) + 1] __attribute__((deprecated, deprecated));

Prior to the adoption of SPDX, it was difficult for tools to determine
the correct license due to incomplete or badly formatted license text.
The SPDX solves this issue, assuming people can correctly spell
"SPDX-License-Identifier" although this assumption is broken in some
places.
Since scripts/spdxcheck.py parses only lines that exactly matches to
the correct tag, it cannot (should not) detect this kind of error.
If the correct tag is missing, scripts/checkpatch.pl warns like this:
WARNING: Missing or malformed SPDX-License-Identifier tag in line *
So, people should notice it before the patch submission, but in reality
broken tags sometimes slip in. The checkpatch warning is not useful for
checking the committed files globally since large number of files still
have no SPDX tag.
Also, I am not sure about the legal effect when the SPDX tag is broken.
Anyway, these typos are absolutely worth fixing. It is pretty easy to
find suspicious lines by grep.

GPIOs are split between several banks (A, B, ...) and each bank can have
up to 16 lines. Those GPIOs could be used as interrupt lines thanks to
exti lines. As there are only 16 exti lines, a mux is used to select which
gpio line is connected to which exti line. Mapping is done as follow:
-A0, B0, C0.. -->exti_line_0 (X0 selected by mux_0)
-A1, B1, C1.. -->exti_line_1 (X1 selected by mux_1)
...

The pinmux groups and functions arrays may contain two parts, to ease
supporting SoCs that expose pin subsets of other related SoCs. Both
parts need to be declared with explicit sizes, which thus need to be
updated when adding support for more groups and functions.
If a size is too small, the compiler will detect this at build time
("excess elements in array initializer").
If a size is too large, this may go undetected (for pin groups), lead to
pin controller registration failures (for pin functions: "pinmux ops has
no name for functionN"), or crash the optional run-time debug code (for
pin groups).
Extend the run-time debug code with checks to detect this, to help

Core changes:
- The gpiolib MMIO driver has been enhanced to handle two direction
registers, i.e. one register to set lines as input and one register
to set lines as output. It turns out some silicon engineer thinks
the ability to configure a line as input and output at the same
time makes sense, this can be debated but includes a lot of analog
electronics reasoning, and the registers are there and need to
be handled consistently. Unsurprisingly, we enforce the lines to
be either inputs or outputs in such schemes.
- Send in the proper argument value to .set_config() dispatched to
the pin control subsystem. Nobody used it before, now someone
does, so fix it to work as expected.
- The ACPI gpiolib portions can now handle pin bias setting (pull up
or pull down). This has been in the ACPI spec for years and we
finally have it properly integrated with Linux GPIOs. It was based
on an observation from Andy Schevchenko that Thomas Petazzoni's
changes to the core for biasing the PCA950x GPIO expander actually
happen to fit hand-in-glove with what the ACPI core needed.
Such nice synergies happen sometimes.
New drivers:
- A new driver for the Mellanox BlueField GPIO controller. This is
using 64bit MMIO registers and can configure lines as inputs
and outputs at the same time and after improving the MMIO library
we handle it just fine. Interesting.
- A new IXP4xx proper gpiochip driver with hierarchical interrupts
should be coming in from the ARM SoC tree as well.
Driver enhancements:
- The PCA053x driver handles the CAT9554 GPIO expander.
- The PCA053x driver handles the NXP PCAL6416 GPIO expander.
- Wake-up support on PCA053x GPIO lines.
- OMAP now does a nice asynchronous IRQ handling on wake-ups by
letting everything wake up on edges, and this makes runtime PM
work as expected too.
Misc:
- Several cleanups such as devres fixes.
- Get rid of some languager comstructs that cause problems when
compiling with LLVMs clang.
- Documentation review and update.

intel-pinctrl for v5.2-1
Non-critical fixes for Intel Baytrail and Intel Cedarfork.
Couple of fixes for all pinctrl-intel based drivers with regard to
IRQ handling, i.e. moving PM calls to noirq level to avoid IRQ lose
and restore ownership of pins to prevent IRQ masking side effect.
The following is an automated git shortlog grouped by driver:
baytrail:
- Fix potential NULL pointer dereference
cedarfork:
- Update pin names according to v1.13c
intel:
- Increase readability of intel_gpio_update_pad_mode()
- Retain HOSTSW_OWN for requested gpio pin
- move gpio suspend/resume to noirq phase
Make the BM1880 SoC pinctrl driver depend on COMPILE_TEST to get compiler
test coverage and also select this driver by default for ARCH_BITMAIN
platform.

H6 SoC has a "pio group withstand voltage mode" register (datasheet
description), that needs to be used to select either 1.8V or 3.3V I/O mode,
based on what voltage is powering the respective pin banks and is thus used
for I/O signals.
Add support for configuring this register according to the voltage of the
pin bank regulator (if enabled).
This is similar to the support for I/O bias voltage setting patch for A80

In current driver, SET_LATE_SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS is used to install the
callbacks for suspend/resume.
GPIO pin may be used as the interrupt pin by some device. However, using
SET_LATE_SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS() to install the callbacks, the resume
callback is called after resume_device_irqs(). Unintended interrupts may
arrive due to resuming device irqs first, but the GPIO controller is not
properly restored.
Normally, for a SMP system, there are multiple cores, so even when there are
unintended interrupts, BSP gets the chance to initialize the GPIO chip soon.
But when there is only 1 core is active (other cores are offlined or
single core) during resume, it is more easily to observe the unintended
interrupts.
This patch renames the suspend/resume function by adding suffix "_noirq",
and installs the callbacks using SET_NOIRQ_SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS().

This patch provides the advanced drive for I2C used pins on MT8183.
The detail strength specification description of the I2C pin:
When E1=0/E0=0, the strength is 0.125mA.
When E1=0/E0=1, the strength is 0.25mA.
When E1=1/E0=0, the strength is 0.5mA.
When E1=1/E0=1, the strength is 1mA.
For I2C pins, there are existing generic driving setup and the above
specific driving setup. I2C pins can only support 2/4/6/8/10/12/14/16mA
driving adjustment in generic driving setup. But in specific driving
setup, they can support 0.125/0.25/0.5/1mA adjustment.
If we enable specific driving setup for I2C pins,
the existing generic driving setup will be disabled.
For some special features, we need the I2C pins specific driving setup.
The specific driving setup is controlled by E1E0EN.
So we need add extra vendor driving preperty instead of the generic
driving property. We can add "mediatek,drive-strength-adv = <XXX>;"
to describe the specific driving setup property.
"XXX" means the value of E1E0EN. So the valid arguments of
"mediatek,drive-strength-adv" are from 0 to 7.

The comment for this dbg_show says that it is supposed to return more
than what the generic code is showing, including de-glitching. That's
wrong because:
- this chip does not support deglitching,
- the code does not print anything extra compared to the generic
handler,
- its behavior is different because it skips unrequested GPIOs; the
generic code prints their names if they're assigned
There is an important difference, though. Previously, dbg_show would
re-check some registers to see if they still match what the regmap
thinks should be in there. This was semi-useful when develpoing the HW
board because it immediately pointed to SPI wiring problem if a CS
connection was missing (0xffs are easy to see). However, I do not think
that this makes much sense -- and one could always do this in some other
way if needed.

Our pinctrl drivers are consisting of some common code, and big pin tables
that are SoC-specific. This is fine in most cases, but when you want to
reduce the size of the particular kernel image, those big tables are, well,
quite big.
We haven't had the option to disable them in the past since they were
hidden Kconfig options based on the SoC support. However, that granularity
isn't great since we don't have one Kconfig option per-SoC, but rather one
by family.
Make those options selectable by the user so that they can disable it if
needed, while keeping the current default to not change the standard case.

Currently the PINMUX_DATA_REG() macro must be followed by initialization
data, specifying all enum IDs. Hence the macro itself does not know
anything about the enum IDs, preventing the macro from performing any
validation on it.
Make the macro accept the enum IDs as a parameter, and update all users.
Note that array data enclosed by curly braces cannot be passed to a
macro as a parameter, hence the enum IDs are wrapped using the GROUP()

Perform some basic sanity checks on all built-in pinmux tables when
DEBUG is defined, to help catching bugs early.
For now the following checks are included:
- Check register and field widths in descriptors for config registers
with variable-width fields,
- Check relations between pin groups and functions:
- All pin functions must refer to existing pin groups,
- All pin groups must be referred to by a pin function,
- Warn if a pin group is referred to by multiple pin functions
(which is OK for backwards-compatibility aliases),
- Provide suggestions for reducing table sizes: reserved fields of
more than 3 bits can better be split in smaller subfields, as the
storage need is proportional to the square of the width of the
(sub)field,
Note that a dummy non-matching entry is added to the DT match table for
checking r8a7795es1_pinmux_info, as R-Car H3 ES1.0 is matched using
soc_device_match() in r8a7795_pinmux_init(), instead of by the DT match
table.

Core changes:
- The big change this time around is the irqchip handling in
the qualcomm pin controllers, closely coupled with the
gpiochip. This rework, in a classic fall-between-the-chairs
fashion has been sidestepped for too long. The Qualcomm
IRQchips using the SPMI and SSBI transport mechanisms have
been rewritten to use hierarchical irqchip. This creates
the base from which I intend to gradually pull support for
hierarchical irqchips into the gpiolib irqchip helpers to
cut down on duplicate code. We have too many hacks in the
kernel because people have been working around the missing
hierarchical irqchip for years, and once it was there,
noone understood it for a while. We are now slowly adapting
to using it. This is why this pull requests include changes
to MFD, SPMI, IRQchip core and some ARM Device Trees
pertaining to the Qualcomm chip family. Since Qualcomm have
so many chips and such large deployments it is paramount
that this platform gets this right, and now it (hopefully)
does.
- Core support for pull-up and pull-down configuration, also
from the device tree. When a simple GPIO chip support a
"off or on" pull-up or pull-down resistor, we provide a
way to set this up using machine descriptors or device tree.
If more elaborate control of pull up/down (such as
resistance shunt setting) is required, drivers should be
phased over to use pin control. We do not yet provide a
userspace ABI for this pull up-down setting but I suspect
the makers are going to ask for it soon enough. PCA953x
is the first user of this new API.
- The GPIO mockup driver has been revamped after some
discussion improving the IRQ simulator in the process.
The idea is to make it possible to use the mockup for
both testing and virtual prototyping, e.g. when you do
not yet have a GPIO expander to play with but really
want to get something to develop code around before
hardware is available. It's neat. The blackbox testing
usecase is currently making its way into kernelci.
- ACPI GPIO core preserves non direction flags when updating
flags.
- A new device core helper for devm_platform_ioremap_resource()
is funneled through the GPIO tree with Greg's ACK.

- TQ-Systems QTMX86 GPIO controllers (using port-mapped
I/O)
- Gateworks PLD GPIO driver (vaccumed up from OpenWrt)

It's reasonable to expect that people turn to the "gpio" debugfs file to

ssbi-gpio did not have any irqchip support so consumers of this in
device tree would need to call gpio[d]_to_irq() in order to get the
proper IRQ on the underlying PMIC. IRQ chips in device tree should
be usable from the start without the consumer having to make an
additional call to get the proper IRQ on the parent. This patch adds
hierarchical IRQ chip support to the ssbi-gpio code to correct this
issue.
The constant PM8XXX_GPIO_PHYSICAL_OFFSET is introduced to replace the
hardcoded '1' that previously existed in two places in this driver to
improve code readability.

The probing of this driver calls platform_irq_count, which will
setup all of the IRQs that are configured in device tree. In
preparation for converting this driver to be a hierarchical IRQ
chip, hardcode the IRQ count based on the hardware type so that all
the IRQs are not configured immediately and are configured on an
as-needed basis later in the boot process. This change will also
allow for the removal of the interrupts property later in this
patch series once the hierarchical IRQ chip support is in.
This patch also removes the generic qcom,ssbi-gpio OF match since we
don't know the number of pins. All of the existing upstream bindings
already include the more-specific binding.

The A80 SoC has configuration registers for I/O bias voltage. Incorrect
settings would make the affected peripherals inoperable in some cases,
such as Ethernet RGMII signals biased at 2.5V with the settings still
at 3.3V. However low speed signals such as MDIO on the same group of
pins seem to be unaffected.
Previously there was no way to know what the actual voltage used was,
short of hard-coding a value in the device tree. With the new pin bank
regulator supply support in place, the driver can now query the
regulator for its voltage, and if it's valid (as opposed to being the
dummy regulator), set the bias voltage setting accordingly.
Add a quirk to denote the presence of the configuration registers, and
a function to set the correct setting based on the voltage read back
from the regulator.
This is only done when the regulator is first acquired and enabled.
While it would be nice to have a notifier on the regulator so that when
the voltage changes, the driver can update the setting, in practice no
board currently supports dynamic changing of the I/O voltages.

The main goal of the change is to remove .pin_config_dbg_parse_modify
callback before a driver with its support appears. So far the in-kernel
interface did not attract any users since its introduction 5 years ago.
Originally .pin_config_dbg_parse_modify callback and the associated
'pinconf-config' debugfs file were introduced in commit f07512e615
("pinctrl/pinconfig: add debug interface"), a short description of
'pinconf-config' usage for debugging can be expressed this way:
Write to 'pinconf-config' (see pinconf_dbg_config_write() function):
% echo -n modify $map_type $device_name $state_name $pin_name $config > \
/sys/kernel/debug/pinctrl/$pinctrl/pinconf-config
It supposes to update a global (therefore single!) 'pinconf_dbg_conf'
variable with an alternative setting, the arguments should match
an existing pinconf device and some registered pinctrl mapping 'map':
* $map_type is either 'config_pin' or 'config_group', it should match
'map->type' value of PIN_MAP_TYPE_CONFIGS_PIN or
PIN_MAP_TYPE_CONFIGS_GROUP accordingly,
* $device_name should match 'map->dev_name' string value,
* $state_name should match 'map->name' string value,
* $pin_name should match 'map->data.configs.group_or_pin' string value,
If all above has matched, then $config is a new value to be set by calling
pinconfops->pin_config_dbg_parse_modify(pctldev, config, matched_config).
After a successful write into 'pinconf-config' a user can read the file
to get information about that single modified pin configuration.
The fact is .pin_config_dbg_parse_modify callback has never been defined
in 'struct pinconf_ops' of any pinconf driver, thus an actual modification
of a pin or group state on any present pinconf controller does not happen,
and it declares that all related code is no more than dead code.
I discovered the issue while attempting to add .pin_config_dbg_parse_modify
support in some drivers and found that too short 'MAX_NAME_LEN' set by
drivers/pinctrl/pinconf.c:372:#define MAX_NAME_LEN 15
is practically insufficient to store a regular pinctrl device name,
which are like 'e6060000.pin-controller-sh-pfc' or pin names like
'MX6QDL_PAD_ENET_REF_CLK', thus it is another indicator that the code
is barely usable, insufficiently tested and unprepossessing.
Of course it might be possible to increase MAX_NAME_LEN, and then add
.pin_config_dbg_parse_modify callbacks to the drivers, but the whole
idea of such a limited debug option looks inviable. A more flexible
way to functionally substitute the original approach is to implicitly
or explicitly use pinctrl_select_state() function whenever needed.

The H6 main pin controller has four banks of interrupt-triggering pins.
The driver as originally submitted only specified three, but had pin
descriptions referencing a fourth bank. This results in a out-of-bounds
access into .irq_array of struct sunxi_pinctrl. This however did not
result in a crash until v4.20, with commit a66d972465 ("devres: Align
data[] to ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN"), which changed the alignment of memory
region returned by devm_kcalloc(). The increase likely moved the
out-of-bounds access into the next, unmapped page.

- AO_GPIO_O_EN_N [offset: 0x9 << 2]
- AO_GPIO_I [offset: 0xa << 2]
- AO_RTI_PULL_UP_REG [offset: 0xb << 2]
- AO_RTI_PULL_UP_EN_REG [offset: 0xc << 2]
- AO_GPIO_O [offset: 0xd << 2]
From above, we can see ao GPIO registers region has been separated by the
ao pull registers. In order to ensure the continuity of the region on
software, the ao GPIO and ao pull registers use the same base address, but
can be identified by the offset.

Keeping the irq_chip definition static shares it with multiple instances
of the mcp23s08 gpiochip in the system. This is bad and now we get this
warning from gpiolib core:
"detected irqchip that is shared with multiple gpiochips: please fix the
driver."
Hence, move the irq_chip definition from being driver static into the
struct mcp23s08. So a unique irq_chip is used for each gpiochip
instance.

Armada 3700 PCIe IP relies on the pinctrl IP managed by this
driver. For reasons related to the PCI core's organization when
suspending/resuming, PCI host controller drivers must reconfigure
their register at suspend_noirq()/resume_noirq() which happens after
suspend()/suspend_late() and before resume_early()/resume().
In the current state, after resuming from a suspend to RAM cycle the
PCIe IP is reconfigured before the pinctrl one which produces an
interrupt storm. The solution to support PCIe resume operation is to
change the "priority" of this pinctrl driver PM callbacks to
"_noirq()".

This patch also removes the generic qcom,spmi-gpio OF match since we
don't know the number of pins. All of the existing upstream bindings
already include the more-specific binding.

When declaring the HSPI RX1_B and TX1_B pins, two mistakes were made:
- the rows and columns in the BGA pin matrix, from which the pin
numbers are derived, were exchanged,
- it was not taken into account that pin row labelling skips
characters I, O, Q, and S.
Fix the order, and the corresponding pin names.
Notes:
- The actual values of the pin numbers don't really matter (they just
have to be unique), so the wrong order didn't have any impact,
- Changing the names of the pins is user-visible, but there are no

On most newer Allwinner SoCs, there are two pinctrl devices, the PIO and
R_PIO. PIO covers pin-banks PA to PI (PJ and PK have not been seen),
while R_PIO covers PL to PN. The regulator array only has space for 12
entries, which was designed to cover PA to PL. On the A80, the pin banks
go up to PN, which would be the 14th entry in the regulator array.
However since the driver only needs to track regulators for its own pin
banks, the array only needs to have 9 entries, and also take in to
account the value of pin_base, such that the regulator for the first
pin-bank of the pinctrl device, be it "PA" or "PL" uses the first entry
of the array.
Base the regulator array index on pin_base, such that "PA" for PIO and
"PL" for R_PIO both take the first element within their respective
device's regulator array.
Also decrease the size of the regulator array to 9, just enough to cover
"PA" to "PI".

The new per-pin-bank regulator handling code in the sunxi pinctrl driver
has mismatched conditions for enabling and disabling the regulator: it
is enabled each time a pin is requested, but only disabled when the
pin-bank's reference count reaches zero.
Since we are doing reference counting already, there's no need to enable
the regulator each time a pin is requested. Instead we can just do it
for the first requested pin of each pin-bank. Thus we can reverse the
test and bail out early if it's not the first occurrence.

Pull pin control updates from Linus Walleij:
"We have no core changes but lots of incremental development in drivers
all over the place: Renesas, NXP, Mediatek and Actions Semiconductor
keep churning out new SoCs.
I have some subtree maintainers for Renesas and Intel helping out to
keep down the load, it's been working smoothly (Samsung also have a
subtree but it was not used this cycle.)
New drivers:
- NXP (ex Freescale) i.MX 8 QXP SoC driver.
- Mediatek MT6797 SoC driver.
- Mediatek MT7629 SoC driver.
- Actions Semiconductor S700 SoC driver.
- Renesas RZ/A2 SoC driver.
- Allwinner sunxi suniv F1C100 SoC driver.
- Qualcomm PMS405 PMIC driver.
- Microsemi Ocelot Jaguar2 SoC driver.
Improvements:
- Some RT improvements (using raw spinlocks where appropriate).
- A lot of new pin sets on the Renesas PFC pin controllers.
- GPIO hogs now work on the Qualcomm SPMI/SSBI pin controller GPIO
chips, and Xway.
- Major modernization of the Intel pin control drivers.
- STM32 pin control driver will now synchronize usage of pins with
another CPU using a hardware spinlock"

pinmux_cfg_reg.var_field_width[] is actually a variable-length array,
terminated by a zero, and counting at most r_width entries.
Usually the number of entries is much smaller than r_width, so the
ability to catch bugs at compile time through an "excess elements in
array initializer" warning is fairly limited.
Hence make the array variable-length, decreasing kernel size slightly.

The debug code in sh_pfc_write_config_reg() prints the width of the

However, registers with a variable-width field layout are identified by
pinmux_cfg_reg.field_width being zero, hence zeroes are printed instead
of the actual field widths.
