Benjamin Herrenschmidt 5657138404 powerpc: Move 32-bit probe() machine to later in the boot process
This converts all the 32-bit platforms to use the expanded device-tree
which is a pretty mechanical change. Unlike 64-bit, the 32-bit kernel
didn't rely on platform initializations to setup the MMU since it
sets it up entirely before probe_machine() so the move has comparatively
less consequences though it's a bigger patch.

Daniel Walker 433c858a61 powerpc/85xx: mpc85xx ADS: remove pci exclude
This code was reworked in commit,

905e75c46d

This change removed the fsl_add_bridge() which originally was above
the addition of the pci_exclude_device function. I think the assumption was that
the pci_exclude_device would prevent changes to the bridge PCI config after
it's been added. It seems it wasn't fully tested on MPC85xx ADS because
if you move the fsl_add_bridge() the pci_exclude_device is set in the machine
description then you can never update the PCI Config since the exclude
prevents it. This disrupts things like DMA.

This issue was extensively debugged by David Beazley.

Jia Hongtao 905e75c46d powerpc/fsl-pci: Unify pci/pcie initialization code
We unified the Freescale pci/pcie initialization by changing the fsl_pci
to a platform driver. In previous PCI code architecture the initialization
routine is called at board_setup_arch stage. Now the initialization is done
in probe function which is architectural better. Also It's convenient for
adding PM support for PCI controller in later patch.

Now we registered pci controllers as platform devices. So we combine two
initialization code as one platform driver.

Kyle Moffett e55d7f737d powerpc/mpic: Remove duplicate MPIC_WANTS_RESET flag
There are two separate flags controlling whether or not the MPIC is
reset during initialization, which is completely unnecessary, and only
one of them can be specified in the device tree.

Also, most platforms in-tree right now do actually want to reset the
MPIC during initialization anyways, which means lots of duplicate code
passing the MPIC_WANTS_RESET flag.

Fix all of the callers which currently do not pass the MPIC_WANTS_RESET
flag to pass the MPIC_NO_RESET flag, then remove the MPIC_WANTS_RESET
flag and make the code reset the MPIC by default.

Currently it doesn't matter where the mdio nodes are placed, but with
power management support (i.e. when sleep = <> properties will take
effect), mdio nodes placement will become important: mdio controller
is a part of the ethernet block, so the mdio nodes should be placed
correctly. Otherwise we may wrongly assume that MDIO controllers are

Benjamin Herrenschmidt f90bb153b1 [POWERPC] Make pci_read_irq_line the default
This patch reworks the way IRQs are fixed up on PCI for arch powerpc.

It makes pci_read_irq_line() called by default in the PCI code for
devices that are probed, and add an optional per-device fixup in
ppc_md for platforms that really need to correct what they obtain
from pci_read_irq_line().

It also removes ppc_md.irq_bus_setup which was only used by pSeries
and should not be needed anymore.

I've also removed the pSeries s7a workaround as it can't work with
the current interrupt code anyway. I'm trying to get one of these
machines working so I can test a proper fix for that problem.

I also haven't updated the old-style fixup code from 85xx_cds.c
because it's actually buggy :) It assigns pci_dev->irq hard coded
numbers which is no good with the new IRQ mapping code. It should
at least use irq_create_mapping(NULL, hard_coded_number); and possibly
also set_irq_type() to set them as level low.
